Indesign cs3 y Windows Vista

Gracias

When installing Adobe Photoshop CS3 on Windows Vista I get this error "Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance. Internal Error 2739" I have used the cleanup script included in Adobe Photoshop CS3 installer, and have removed all traces of Adobe apps including the beta versions and Acrobat 8 pro, and I still get the same error, how can I install this application? is there any way or do I have to reformat and reinstall windows?

    Hello everyone,
I was having the same issue:
"Setup Error. Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance. Quit."
If you receive this error also, press Quit and follow these steps:
    1. Start
    2. Control Panel
    3. Administrative tools (in classical view)
    4. Event Viewer
    5. Application
You will see something like this:
Double-Click for error (emphasized by red color). I have an error like this:
"Error 1327.Invalid Drive: E:\" if you have the same or e.g. Drive F:\ ir whatever letter, you should solve this problem extremely easy - just insert USB-flash into computer (it will launch as E\ or whatever disk) and than run installation again. It will work than.
Setup doesnt start if disk is offline.

  • Indesign cs3 and windows 8.1

I'm having trouble installing indesign cs3 with Windows 8.1.  The program says I need to upgrade screen resolution.  My lowest screen resolution is the minimum required.  I have the highest.  Any options or ideas for getting past this?

I was able to get it running with Windows 8 (64-bit), but it did take a few tries, and I have not played with all the software yet.  I have used Photoshop and Illustrator successfully, and I've opened InDesign.  I remember having to copy a file off of the installation disk to my desktop and renaming it to "AdobePDF.dll" -- I think it had 64 in the original file name.  During the install, it said it could not find that file, and that trick worked.  (I only remember because that file is still on my desktop.)
My question is: Has anyone who has CS3 running on Windows 8 upgraded to windows 8.1?
My computer keeps asking me, but I don't want to break CS3. I don't use it a whole lot, but when I need it, I want it to work.
    Thank you for any replies!

  • No preview of images to place in InDesign CS3 under Windows XP x64

Just got a new computer running on Windows XP Professional x64 and now I am unable to see images when I try to place them into an InDesign CS3 document like I could when using a 32-bit Windows XP. Am I doomed to never seeing them again or is there a fix floating around out there??!!? This problem occurrs in all of my Adobe CS3 products.

XP 64 is totally unsupported. Only Vista is supported for 64 bit computing.
That said if you can post a screenshot or two of what you're looking at perhaps we can spot something.

  • Installation Flash cs3 with Windows Vista Ultimate

I am trying to use Flash on Windows Vista Ultimate.
Installing the program tells me a mistake "error in the
installation component". I have tried to install in administrator
    mode and windows account manager
Can anyone tell me how to install Flash for suite cs3?

I would download a new installer, you can get the trial
installer, then just enter your serial when you first run it.
Sounds like a corrupt exe. But yes, make sure and run as
Administrator by right clicking the file.

  • Trouble installing DW CS3 on Windows Vista

Hi I really need some help. I'm about to lose it.
I bought DW CS3 directly from Adobe in June '07. I had installed it on my laptop running Win XP. It worked fine and I liked working with DW. My laptop died a couple months ago and I bought a brand new HP desktop. I installed DW CS3 seemingly without any problems. But ... when I go to open DW, ... nothing happens.  It doesnt matter where I try to open it from, the Start menu, or the program file in the directory where it was installed.  There were no errors or problems during any of the install attempts.  Its just when you click on the icon to open DW, it just doesnt do anything. Nothing. As if you didnt even click on it.
I have not been able to find any thread/discussion with this exact problem.  I've tried implementing solutions from other install problems posted, but nothing has worked. I tried selective startup. Tried uninstall/reinstall a couple times. Tried repairing the install.
    My specs:
    HP Pavilion a6750y
    AMD Athlon Phenom X4 9650
    8GB RAM
    750GB HD
    Windows Vista Home Premium
    Service Pack 1
    64-bit Operating System
I'm not a computer expert of any sort, but I know enough to get by.
Can anyone please help? Thanks so much.

    Nadia,
Thanks for replying. I just checked out that tech note & tried the regedit thing, but no luck.  I seriously can't believe that this is so much trouble.
I also need to just say that I did call Adobe support and unfortunately for me, they need to charge me $40 to help me, because now CS4 is out, so they don't support CS3 for free anymore.  This is very very poor business practice on Adobe's part.  Most manufacturers of any product, not just software, will continue to support at least the version previous to their newest.
I am an amateur web designer and just like to play around.  I was proud of myself for spending $200 my last year of school (econ major, not IT), to get the educational version of what I thought was a top-notch web design software.  I cannot afford to pay $40 for help. And I definitely cannot afford whatever the price of CS4 is, since I am not a student anymore.  I really enjoyed using DW CS3 on my laptop.  Unfortunately as I said before, it is now dead, and apparently, so is my ability to use Dreamweaver.
Shame on you Adobe.  I will spread this message far and wide.
If anyone else has any possible solutions to what my problem is, I am willing to try anything.  Thanks Nadia & Murray for your suggestions.  I will stay tuned to this forum until I have a solution.

  • Indesign trial version Windows vista

    Hi There,
I use Windows Vista (32 bit system, 4 GB RAM) and wanted to download a trial version of Indesign. Unfortunately, the CC version does obviously not support Windows Vista. CS6 or CS5 would also be ok for the beginning, but for this versions I cannot find a trial version download link. Has anyone an idea what I could do? Thank you!

  • Installed CS3 with windows vista bit AE won't open.

When my old faithful computer motherboard fried, I had to get a new computer with Windows Vista Home Premium.
I had CS3 loaded and working without a glich on my old XP computer.
I've loaded the whole CS3 suite, but when I open After Effects nothing happens. Using Window's Task Manager, under "Applications" After Effects doesn't show up as a running but under "Processes" the file "AfterFX.exe *32" is listed as running.
I've also tried uninstalling CS3 and reinstalling it in the directory "Program Files" rather than in the directory "Program Files (x86)" and nothing changed.
I've tried to opening all the other programs in CS3 with the similar results. Nothing opens, but their .exe files are listed under Task Managers "Processes".
I'm using this as a vol lic product, so I'm not sure how much tech support I can get.
Thank you for any help you can give me.

I'm sorry it didn't work. I probably don't have an answer for you since I'm not an expert or anything.
One thing I thought was weird was that the software version on my computer for the motherboard was version 6.xx (whatever) and the software I downloaded from the HP web was version 5.xx (whatever). It made it work though..
I think the update would be on the HP site, not the MSI site. Go to hp.com, downloads, and put in the name of your computer. Download/install whatever motherboard software they have. If that doesn't work, go to the adobe website and search for the document kb402213 and work through that. It's what the person you give Adobe $40 to help you is going to do.
    Good luck. Hopefully this helps.

  • Thumbs Up To Upgrading To CS3 and Windows Vista

    Hi Folks,
After several years of using Dreamweaver 8 on my antiquated,
10-year old, 700MZ DELL (upgraded from Windows 98SE to Windows XP),
I finally bought a new HP with Windows Vista. Then I upgraded from
DW8 to CS3 ($199) and couldn't be happier. I used to have the old
XP "login" issue (remembering the login) and was never able to
resolve it, despite using the recommened fix I found here, so it
was something I just lived with.
But that's all behind me now. This new DW works great with
Vista and so far, I have no issues whatsoever. Looking forward to
learning more about CS3 and all it's features.
I'm a total novice... (you can tell by viewing my website:
LBIBeachRentals.com ... LOL), but if I can do it, anyone can. Many
thanks again to everyone who has helped me in the past,
particularly Peggy and Murray from OC.

downloaded the original version from a website so I don't have a
disc to reload onto my new computer. Here's my question. Do I need
to have the old version of dreamweaver 8 uploaded before I can use
the CS3 or CS4 version? Or, is the CS3 or CS4 a total package with
the old program being obsolete? I appreciate your answer!
I did much the same recently - (upgrade) from MX to CS3. I
was using a boxed set but all I needed were the qualifying serial
numbers of two MX programs for an upgrade. The applications were
self standing and I never had to install the old ones.
I would suggest turning the Vista Aero interface off -
particularly if you also have Fireworks - after that it is great.

  • InDesign CS3 freezing with Vista

Recently upgraded to Vista 32bit. InDesign CS3 files are freezing.  Unable to open files again even after ending program and rebooting computer. Help.

Once I try to open an .indd file, InDesign keeps trying to open it
without success. I have to reboot my computer to get it InDesign to
open. When it does open, it shows all functions but it won't open any
files. Tried moving the Suitcase folder to another location but
couldn't. Had difficulty just getting the fonts to work in the
beginning.  Do you advise uninstalling InDesign and then reinstalling?
Is this a compatibility problem with this version of Vista?  Should I
    consider upgrading to CS4?

  • InDesign CS3 - Save Window disappears

Hello- In InDesign CS 3.3 (and Photoshop) the 'Save As' or 'Export' windows flashes and then disappear when I try to open that option and then the program goes into a "freeze" mode as the window is "hidden", but I can not figure out how to make it come back to the front to execute the option.... Is there a solution to this?
    Thank you
    --NEDSANTIS

This was a common problem in CS3 with multiple monitors and monitor not run at the maximum resolution. There were a number of different solutions, none of which worked all the time, but usually one of them would work if you kept trying. I'd start by doing a search in this forum for multiple monitors and see what comes up. Use the special widget on the main discussion page, not the "search forums" box near the top.
Google is another good way to search and you might have good luch including more terms.

  • InDesign CS3 with Windows 7

I just bought a new computer running Windows 7. I installed Creative Suite 3 (I did have to uninstall my display driver to get it to install) and opened InDesign. When I open a new document, I can use some tools, but not others. For instance, I can use the frame tools and text tool, but I cannot use the select tool, and I cannot change the fonts, or other character attributes. I've run all of the updates through the Adobe Installer, but the program just is not behaving the way it should. I have deactivated it on my old XP computer, and really need to find an answer quickly as I am in the middle of a large project. Any advice?
    aksnell

You'd be better off posting in the Indesign specific forum here, but for starters there's two common solutions, try this first and if that doesn't work try this.
