Indesign CS4 installed in German but the GUI will be English

Hallo,
after you install indesign cs4 (german) on a windows XP pro SP3 machine as administrator and then logged in as a normal User, the Interface language then will be english.
Soloutions are
1. you will make the user as an administrator
2. run regedit and then give the key
hklm\software\adobe\indesign
all rights
Why didn´t write adobe such articles in the knowledgebase??

in registry key - XP
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Adobe\InDesign\]
or Vista 64bit

and you will get permanent English interface
- don't work with ID CS2 (in PL version)
- in CS3 this will cause resetting workspace layout
- work in CS4 and reset layout ;)
in CS4 IE - I think you can set ANY language for user interface - 5 is Chinese or something like that, 6 Italy, 10 Polish, 12 Magyar(?), etc. ;)

It originally told me that I didn't have the required codec, so that's why I downloaded flip4mac. It's still giving me that message, and Flip4mac won't open at all. Quicktime won't open either. It shows up in the dock but won't open. Can anyone help?

There are a number of Windows Media codecs that have never been ported to Mac, and the copy protection system also has never been ported. So it's quite possible that whatever this file is you downloaded, you will never be able to play it in Mac OS X. Without knowing what the file is, however, it's not possible to be certain.

I downloaded and installed Elements 11 but the program will not start - any suggestions?

I believe the install is correct and complete - running Win 7 - 4 gigs of memory -

a window opens asking me to grant permission to make changes to computer -
I click ok then nothing - I just uninstalled and reinstalled the program

Firefox process is running but the GUI doesn't show up.

System description:
ThinkPad T61, Windows 7 X64 with both Firefox 3.6 and 4.0 beta installed.
Now both version of Firefox won't show their GUI when I start them but the "firefox.exe *32" process is running.
I tried to clean up all the customize information about the firefox, uninstall both of them and reinstall the 3.6, but the GUI still won't show up.

Did you create a new profile for the Firefox 4.0 beta version?

If you use the same profile for both versions then create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files)

Without a bootable backup/clone or a Time Machine backup of your previous Snow Leopard installation or a saved copy of Lion's install app, you'll have to upgrade your Leopard volume to Snow Leopard (10.6.6+) so you can waste another hour or more DLing the Lion thing again.

I have installed flash player 11 and checked it is installed on my compuer.
But if I try to play any media it says I need to install flash player.

I have tried uninstalling flash player and then trying again, restarting computer etc. But the computer will not play any media in IE.
If you go to the control panel the player is installed. But thigs like iplayer do not recognise it as being installed.

The message is clear: "Flash Player is either not installed or not enabled". Did you check if it's enabled:

I'm also getting the "invalid serial number", but I'm wanting to upgrade my 5.1 to 5.1.4 to take advantage of HDV 720p/24 support. Is the 5.1.4 update even an option still? I really don't want to be forced to upgrade to FCS2 and shell out $500, just to get this one feature that was included in a patch.
I went to the Registration page and it actually allowed me to register the serial number... (which I'm pretty sure I already had), but it still won't let me in to download any updates. Also, the email confirmation that was supposed to be sent has not arrived 20+ minutes later.

What is your Acrobat XI version? If less than 11.0.09 I would suggest that you update, then try again. Download updates from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Macintosh

If you need several copies of Acrobat (the license is per user), then you should talk to Adobe Sales about a volume purchase. I am not sure of the details, but probably the best way to go. In that case, I think all are on the same S/N and you pay according to the number of activations or such. Again, I am not sure and you need to talk to Adobe. Adobe is currently pushing the cloud and subscription versions and you might want to discuss the various options with them.
