Hey out there...
Just got a new MacBookPro this week and tried to Install InDesign Cs4... but can't get it started... Somebody has the same problems? Photoshop works perfect!

reset your preferences, http://indesignsecrets.com/rebuilding-indesign-preferences.php
if that fails, uninstall, clean and then reinstall using the adobe installer. ie, do not migrate etc adobe programs.

I have a new mac book pro (sept 2014) and am suddenly stuck on the log-in screen. Keyboard input is not working to enter my password. Seems to be a log in issue as keyboard works for forced troubleshooting. (And b/c when I first noticed the problem, I was able to enter my log in password but then everything sort of froze. I have purchased a new mac book pro and I'm trying to install CS6 from old mac. I have installed cs6 upgrade but, software is asking for cs4 number which is not being accepted.
I should add that it's an HP photosmart 4280.I found it online and it shows the Mac 0SX operating system.

I've recently downloaded CS4 ( Illus. Photoshop, and Indesign) on my Mac Book pro. Only these apps appear as low resolution. All other imagery, text etc... appear fine on my system. How can I correct the pixelization of the Adobe products?
No. If you want full compatibility with that display for all Adobe apps you’ll need to move to Creative Cloud.

Low resolution Indesign files on Mac Book Pro!
Why is my new mac book pro retina showing Indesign as low res text and images? Pdf's exported as hi-res print ready files are also low res to look at on screen!
I only have 5.5 - had read there were updates for Illustrator and Photoshop for retina - wasn't sure about Indesign. Will the upgrade to 6 solve this problem for all programs? (Indesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat?) Do I then need to go to the cloud for software updates? I really need to have hi-resolution display for magazine and photographic work. I also send hi-res pdfs direct to printers - this is impossible if I can't see clear images in final pdfs.

I have a new mac book pro that s running like a ten year old pc
I recently bought a mac book pro and transferred my data from old mac book air. i did have issues transferring but eventually updated all software to new yosemite and that allowed it. subsequently the speed is so slow won't even open normal webpages even though I'm on fibre. i've read the similar posts and i'mnot very technical so they mean little to me. Am i helpable?

What is your program? You specifically ask about Premiere Elements but your ID = photo shop elements 12.
It is confusing why Reynolds Films 2014 is replying to your thread, talking about Photoshop Elements.
Assuming some version of Premiere Elements currently on some Windows operating system.
What version of Premiere Elements do you have and on what computer operating system does it exist?
How did you install your version of Premiere Elements on Windows - installation files from an online purchase or
from installation disc from purchase of the product in box packaging?
What installation files or installation disc do you have?
You cannot install Premiere Elements Windows installation files on a Mac computer. If you want Premiere Elements
for your Mac computer, you will need to buy a version of Premiere Elements Mac that is supported by your Mac computer.
If you purchased Premiere Elements Windows in box packaging, it probably came with 2 installation discs, one for
Windows and one for Mac. If that is the case, use the Mac installation disc to try to install the program on your
Mac computer.
But, we need the details from you in order to sort out what is and what needs to be done.

I have transferres Adobe programs from my old Mac Book to my new Mac Book Pro, but I can´t open the programs!?
Adobe programs don't do well with migration. You should uninstall them, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3), and reinstall from the original installers, but you also need to be aware that many older programs are not supported on newer versions of OSX so this may not go smoothly.

I want to by a new Mac Book pro with Yosemite, but I still use Creative Suite CS6 and I don´t want to update it to CC. So it is very important for me to know if CS6 is working on Yoemite. I rode that After Effects and Photoshop are fine, but what is with Indesign CS6, Illutrator CS6 and all the other Programms. Please let me know if it is possible?
ThanksCS6 apps are supported on Yosemite, but if you buy a retina display model you will not be happy with some of the apps such as InDesign which are not optimized for that display.

Bought a New Mac Book Pro last week, can I get a free upgrade to Lion?
To cut a long story short, I bought a new Mac Book Pro Last week, it is only 6 days old now, it was nearly 2 grand and comes with Snow Leopard, today on their website I saw Lion OS Advertised as 'coming soon to a mac near you' or something. I was just wondering, as I've just spent nearly 2 grand on a Mac Book last week, would I be eligible for a free upgrade to Lion when it comes out?
I think you should be as when I bought it i was never informed there was a new OS coming out soon, does anyone know the answer? Or how much it may be to upgrade? as after spending £1899 I don't want to have to pay £100+ to upgrade a month later or so.

ChrisLion won't be out until middle of next year, so you are not entitled to any upgrade. But you may be entitled to the iLife '11 software if it isn't already installed. Check the Apple website for any Up to Date offer.

I have a new mac book pro which i use in england but I need to use German charachters frequently, is there a way of having both visable on the keyboard?
For example so that I can just press shift or another key to get the German character.Some may already exist, but you will have to learn them. On my old system these can be found through keyviewer.app For example, if I press option+s I get ß Umlaut is a bit cumbersome as option+u then the actual letter. It may be possible to bind a key to do this function, possibly through System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts
I have old, old references for utilities that let you rebind keys to other functions, and you would have to see if they have modern equivalents.

I have tried to install Windows 8.1 64 on my new Mac Book Pro from a full install disc. When I get the the choice of partitions to install Windows 8.1 on the Windows installer says that the Bootcamp partition is not valid.
Has anyone encountered the same issue?BCA creates the partition as FAT, which the installer needs to format.

I am using FCP 7.0.3 on my Mac Pro. I bought a new mac book pro and loaded the software on to the lap top but the software is 6.0.3. How do i get the update to the lap top?
.. and by the way, the jump from FCP 6.0.3 to FCP 7.0 (or higher) isn't an "update" It's a full version "upgrade" that has to be done using the install discs (or disc images).
