InDesign CS4 Scripting Help how i can start scripting
Hi all,
I'm new to Indesign Scripting, and I'm hoping someone can help me with the following Apple/Java_Script which script language (Apple/Java) good for me.
(1) Adobe InDesign CS4 Apple/JavaScript tutorial (.PDF/Text/ExampleScript)
(2) How i can start scripting ???
I'm working Adobe InDesign/QuarkXpress with ETMV2 with (Pearson DTD/IDML) as a Operator last 4 Year. I want learn Scripting.
Any one Help/Suggest i really appreciated!

If you cannot put it in recovery mode to restore it, you'll have to try putting it in DFU mode to restore it as described in this post: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2648467?threadID=2648467&tstart=0. That's the last thing you can try. If DFU mode doesn't work you probably have a hardware failure and you'll have to have Apple take a look at it.

I have gotten myself lost and am in need of some help.
I have created a list of products on a page, all by titles - no images, only text, and each of these items should have an address/link on the internet, but I've gotten lost. How do I select one of the titles and make it a link to that page on the internet? I have selected one of the titles and then gone to Text > Hyperlinks & Crossreferences and my options are:
New Hyperlink...
New Hyperlink from URL
Insert Cross References...
When I select New Hyperlink, I will put the web address in the bar and say "OK", but nothing shows on the screen or no link is created. When I save it or make it into a PDF, still nothing happens.
When I select New Hyperlink from URL, nothing happens to the text and no second window opens.
How can I create a web link in InDesign CS4?

By the way, is it just me or do others type in these questions and all of a sudden, it starts typing somewhere else on the page?First thing to do is check if you really added a hyperlink. If so, it should appear in the Hyperlink panel. Select it; the left arrow on the bottom selects the hyperlink in your document. The right arrow opens the link in your default browser.
Second: check if you have "Include Hyperlinks" in your PDF Export settings.

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro. I transferred my CS4 from my older MacBook Pro to my new computer, and although it seemed to be working fine now some fonts will not work when PDFing documents from InDesign CS4. These fonts are installed on my new computer, can be found in InDesign CS4, and work fine within the program but will not appear in PDFs. The letters turn into rectangles. Does anyone know why, and how to fix that?
