InDesign CS6 does not install on OS 10.8

The requirements for this software is OS X v. 10.6.8 or v 10.7
Is there a fix for this?

Hi everyone,
So today I tried to open InDesign for the first time on my macbook pro, but only a report window popped up saying that it "cannot be opened because of a problem". Hang logs don't mean a thing to me, unfortunately. We normally ask users to convert hangs to crashes using activity monitor, then post the crash log (see Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding), but at this point it's entirely moot since trashing the prefs solved your problem.

CS6 does not install on Mac - wrong format of harddisk - any remedy?

I wanted to install CS6 on my MacBook Pro but the installation failed as the format of the harddisk supports Capital/Small letters - "case sensitive".
CS6 declined to install.
Any other way to solve this other than reformatting the drive?

I creat the Symbol with Ai CS3. I want to make the symbol change to "font".
I only can find Adobe SING Glyphlet Manager CS3, I do it Step by step，I can find the font "ExtraGlyphlets",can get the Symbol that I need,
But,I need use the Sybol in the ID Cs6,I Can't find the "ExtraGlyphlets" font in CS6
And,How could I delete the green Area，for I donot need it?

Support for SING Glyphlets went away after CS4.

Sorry to say it, but I think you can see from Bob's response that there's no way to solve this rapidly.
Did you take an image of your Mountain Lion install before upgrading to Yosemite? Roll back to that. If you're not in the habit of taking a snapshot of your system before performing operating system upgrades - get in that habit. If you are dependent on anything at all on hour computer, having a reliable backup method in place is essential. If you don't have a Time Capsule, or some other way to run Time Machine onto a disk that's not in your computer, go set that up yesterday.
If you can't just remove Yosemite and roll back to Mountain Lion for whatever reason, you can partition your drive so that you can install both Yosemite and Mountain Lion on the same drive, and then boot into Mountain Lion when you need to work in CS5. Or you can take your Mountain Lion disc (I assume you have one, no?) and then use it to create a virtual machine in something like VirtualBox to run Mountain Lion from inside Yosemite.

Photoshop CS6 is not installing properly and i am unable to locate the application

HELP ME!!!! My trial Photoshop CS6 is not installing properly and i am unable to locate and open the application on my mac. I am just going around in circles from file to file and back to the starting "intall" icon

I am on the Adobe Download Assistant. It was stuck at "less than a minute" for an hour and a half, showing that the installation was basically done, since the installation bar was full. But it was stuck. Now it has stopped all together, and is restarting the download from scratch.
Apparently it does not save the download, or only saves a small portion.

It is at 85.6 MB, even though a short time ago it was close to 99.9% done with the 6,352 MB download.
My internet connection is fine, all is working, and I am able to browse, etc.
I have been careful to keep activity minimal on the computer, so as to avoid conflicts.
The conflicts are with the Adobe Download Assistant.
I amabout ready to just give up, and look for alternatives.
Please help.

Have deinstalled Acrobat 9.0 before. Tried installing from 2 different admin accounts.
There is no trial version of the Mac Acrobat X Pro - therefore I cannot check whether it is aproblem with the DVD.

Viewer Builder update does not install

The Viewer Builder update (Viewer-Builder-1.7.0-RC.dmg) does not install. After downloading and removing Viewer Builder from the Applications folder, this update does not install.
Steps:
- Removed Viewer Builder app from Applications folder
- Download update from Adobe Site
- Click to install
- Opens package and performed some kind of install activity. There are no prompts and quickly finishes
- No Viewer Builder installed.
Any insights on to this would definitely help.

upgrade folio builder tools does not work..
this morning I tried to update the folio builder tools, from out of indesign cs5.5 on a windows PC..tried 5 times...still get the update message in the folio builder panel in Indesign.
this afternoon I tried the same on a completely different windows machine...same result...the thing does not work, no upgrade gets installed, I tried 20 times, even also the other tool....????????
2 days ago, I tried it on an other machine and it worked fine....

Encore CS6 does not start / freezes - Message: Encore does not work anymore (Win 8.1)

Encore CS6 does not work. When I launch the Programm a message appears "Encore does not work anymore" and I can only choose close or debug.
How can I solve this error?
By the way it is really early to stop the development of an DVD authoring software!

Did EncoreCS6 work at one time, or is this a new install and it has never worked? If it worked before... what changed?
With Windows, an update will OFTEN/SOMETIMES cause a problem with the graphics adapter driver
What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself

Cs6 does not regiser in my Win 7 Registry

I tryed to change my .JPG files to default to CS6, I go thru all the procedures but CS6 does not show up in my sysem default program list. The answer from Microsoft is the CS6 did not register in the system registry when I installed it. How do I accomplish this?

Microsoft people are correct ...it is the registry issue because of which the problem is coming up.
NOTE:- Please create a system restore point and do the registry Back up before making any changes , as playing with the registry could be fatal for your computer.
Navigate to Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications and find your .exe name ex:- Photoshop.exe
Navigate under its name to shell>open>command.
In the Default change its location to the actual location of the executable, Ex:- "C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64 Bit)\Photoshop.exe" "%1" ( at my end)
hit okay and then try and reassociate the file type as you normally would.

There is no 'earlier' version that supports XP. iCloud launched with Vista/7 support only.
