InDesign CS6 does not start on OS 10.7.5

Hi everyone,
So today I tried to open InDesign for the first time on my macbook pro, but only a report window popped up saying that it "cannot be opened because of a problem". Here's a copy of the report http://pastebin.com/YTgnkGgx. All of my other Adobe programs work perfectly fine, but this is the only one that cannot open. I would appreciate it if someone could help me.
Thank you very much.

Looks to me like ID did not install completely.

    Hello,
Encore CS6 does not work. When I launch the Programm a message appears "Encore does not work anymore" and I can only choose close or debug.
How can I solve this error?
By the way it is really early to stop the development of an DVD authoring software!
    Thanks

Did EncoreCS6 work at one time, or is this a new install and it has never worked? If it worked before... what changed?
With Windows, an update will OFTEN/SOMETIMES cause a problem with the graphics adapter driver
What is your exact brand/model graphics adapter (ATI or nVidia or ???)
What is your exact graphics adapter driver version?
Have you gone to the vendor web site to check for a newer driver?
For Windows, do NOT rely on Windows Update to have current driver information
-you need to go direct to the vendor web site and check updates for yourself

  • Photoshop CS5 and CS6 does not start. Windows 7

I am using Photoshop CS5 as well as CS6, 64-bit on Windows 7. Since the last few days, I noticed that Photoshop would take a very long time to start (earlier it used to start within few seconds). Today, I found that both the Photoshop versions do not start at all. Nothing happens when I click the short-cut on the Task Bar. Neither do they start through the Start Menu. Why does this happen and what is the solution?

Have you tried using the task manager to see if Photoshop is hung and look at your windows reliability history to see if Photoshop CS5 an CS6 are crashing?

Hang logs don't mean a thing to me, unfortunately. We normally ask users to convert hangs to crashes using activity monitor, then post the crash log (see Adobe Forums: InDesign CS5.5 Not Responding), but at this point it's entirely moot since trashing the prefs solved your problem.

  • CS6 does not start

    Hey guys,
I am using Photoshop CS6 on my Win7 - 32b, and it used to work just fine, but recently for no apparent reason it just won't start. There is no error window, no freezing my computer, or anything else, it just won't start.
Do you have any idea why?

In addition to the suggestions above, have you updated your graphics driver to the very latest? This might be necessary if your OS has had any updates/hot-fixes applied between when things worked and now, when they do not.
When something works one day, but not the next, then something has changed. The task is to find out what that was, and I agree that Event Viewer is a good place to start.
Another troubleshooting scheme, if the above suggestions do not help, is to create a System Restore Point for now, then boot to Safe Mode, and choose a System Restore Point from when things DID work well. Test. At the worst, you have only lost a few minutes, as you would then just go to that new System Restore Point, that you created for now.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Acrobat X (C6) does not start

Acrobat X within CS6 does not start.
I tried uninstalling CS6 and reinstalling and it still doesn't work.
I tried unilstalling just the Acrobat X Pro module.  I'm not sure how to install just this component.
    I'm running Win7 Ultimate 64-bit on a Dell T-3500 with 12GB of RAM.
It appears that I'm running CS6 Master Collection v6.1 (service pack 1).
What are the recommended next actions to resolve the Acrobat X problem?
    Thanks.

    Hello,
Make sure you are connected to the internet.
Launch   CS6 product other than Acrobat or Flash Builder (for example: Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro, InDesign, Flash Professional, Illustrator, Dreamweaver.)
    Click on Help->Deactivate .
    Deactivate the application. Quit application.
Launch a regular CS6 product other than Acrobat or Flash Builder (for example: Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro, InDesign, Flash Professional, Illustrator, Dreamweaver.)
    Accept Eula.
Register trial by signing in. Let the app launch.
Quit and relaunch the app. Wait for UI to come.
Click on License This Software button on the UI.
    Click on Sign in .
    Serial number screen will come
Enter the serial number in the serial number screen and click Next.
Quit app and relaunch the app while connected on the internet .
After this if you launch Acrobat it will launch and run forever without trouble. In case you still face a problem , try relaunching the other CS6 app once more and then launch Acrobat.
You can refer this thread http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1021632 for reference.
    Thank you,

  • In Design CS6 does not open. What to do?

InDesign CS6 does not open , How to fix this problem?

You can start with some details.
Mac? Windows? Which version? Is InDesign fully patched? Has this always been the case? Something new?
    What does happen?

  • Acrobat Pro X 10.1.10 Does Not Start Windows 8.1

I have Create Suite CS6 which apparently bundles Adobe Acrobat Pro X.   I have upgraded to 10.1.10.    Under Window 8.1, this version simply does not start.   There is no startup screen.  There is no error in EventViewer of Windows.   It simply does NOTHING.
I went to Windows Program and Features and did a "Repair" on Acrobat Pro X.  This redid the install but the result is the same.
Is there a known compatibility issue here?   How do I work around this?

    Hello,
Have you tried to run the Acrofix patch on your computer?
If not, please follow this link, http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 10 does not start anymore

This happened to me three times now. One time Adobe Acrobat Pro 10 is working properly for weeks. It crashes once and after that it does not start anymore without providing a message or clue.
What I used to do is remove CS6 completely and reinstall it. But this is tedious. Just uninstalling Acrobat Pro and reinstalling it doesn't do the trick.
My guess is that a setting is stopping Acrobat Pro from starting. Is it possible to reset Acrobat Pro settings to the factory default? I've already remove the folders under
    %LOCALAPPDATA% \adobe\acrobat and
    %APPDATA% \adobe\acrobat
    but this doesn't help.

Ok. This occasion I had a bit of time on my hand and found a solution yuhu!
Make sure you have access to you license key as you have to enter it new after this procedure
    1) Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache
    2) Delete or rename the file cache.db
    3) Open Acrobat Pro, you will be asked to license the software again under your Adobe-ID again.
    4) If asked to connect to your Adobe-ID and re-enter the license key.
Now Acrobat Pro is working (as are all the other CS6 applications.

  • After installing trial version the program does not start

    Hi everybody,
I installed the CS 5.5 Trial on Windows 7. Everything was ok, so I started InDesign and said accept to the License Agreement. But the program does not start, the license window always opens again after clicking accept. Can anybody help me?
    Thanks!

Make sure to run with full administrative privileges the first time you launch the progrrams. Otherwise the licensing stuff will not be able to kick in and verify our trial period.

  • Photoshop does not start

Photoshop (Creative Cloud) does not start. I have Mac Mini about two years old.

Thank you for this information. I do not use Creative Cloud and just purchased Photoshop CS6 for my laptop. When I install Application Manager as suggested in the link, I get a Creative Cloud icon that -- when clicked -- asks me to enter my Adobe ID. I deliberately do not want to use Creative Cloud, just continue using CS6 on my laptop.
As the startup screen insists on entering my Adobe ID, I did. And now Photoshop starts as Extended in test mode and does not allow me to (Help ->) Deactivate.
How do I get rid of this Extended test license (I do not need the "Extended" features) and return to my original one computer CS6 license without having to use Creative Cloud.
    Thank you and best regards
    Dirk
