InDesign CS6 DPS click and Drag feature?

I was wondering if in inDesign CS6 it was possible to make a click and drag application. So when the application is playing on an ipad you can click and drag images around the screen freely?

Should be possible with an HTML5 widget.

Click and Drag feature to resize brush in PS 5

Besides using the bracket keys to resize brushes, you are supposed to be able to hold down the Alt and Control key to drag sideways to make a brush larger or up and down to make it softer. This is on Windows.
For some reason, when I do this command, my cursor changes to moving a selection and leaving a copy.
When I hold down just the Alt key, I get the eye dropper tool and when I hold down just the Control Key, I get the move - four way arrow.
I must have changed something in the keyboard shortcuts, but I don't see the option to change that command back. My Brush Resize shortcuts still work the the two bracket keys.
Any help would be appreciated.

Okay. I wasn't using the right mouse click as directed.

It seems to work fine with just the Alt-Right Mouse drag and no need for the Control key?
I was trying to program my Art Pen to use the commands on the front toggle button.

InDesign CC crash when clicking and dragging

I've had a really huge issue the last two days with InDesign CC. Every file I open, or, new file I create, it crashes the program immediately when I attempt to click and drag -anything-
I am able to use the type tool, access all the drop down menus and so forth. The program launches, it allowed me to double click to select type and then copy / paste it. (Thank god since I spent an hour typing it...)
However, If I try to move anything, text frame, object, empty frame, etc, instant crash.
I tried to take the steps to clear the preferences and recovery items, as is listed as a fix for these kinds of crashes. I went so far as to remove the related folders entirely. This worked. For about five minutes. Then it was right back to crashing went I tried to nudge anything.
I actually just totally uninstalled InDesign CC and reinstalled it fresh, it's still happening.

I think I know the solution to the problem (for me anyway)!
I have been plagued by this CC problem for months with Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop. I even bought a new machine because of the stress it caused me, and not to mention the lost work hours!!!! But since buying the new machine and having it happen again, and again and again, I have ruled out all font, software, plugin conflicts - because there is nothing on my machine that was on the old one. All of my old files are on an external hard drive and I have had Illustrator CC crash several times with the hard drive ejected. This is what leads me to think (in my case at least) that the machine/files/plugins are not the problem. Here's what has worked for me, and where I think my problem stems from:
CC membership allows you to run the Adobe applications on 2 machines, in most people's cases that's home and office. I have two machines; one for work with one set of preferences that my CC account was made with, and another machine at home that is shared and has an entirely different set of preferences.
When an Illustrator file is left open on my work machine (the machine that the CC account was created on) with a long period of inactivity (e.g. over a weekend) Illustrator CC on my home machine crashes constantly (as soon as I try to move an object it crashes). As soon as Illustrator CC is closed down on my work machine, Illustrator CC on my home machine is then fine! And then both machines will the run Illustrator CC again simultaneously until the work machine is left for another long period of inactivity (a couple of days). Then, when it is, my home machine crashes again.
I also noticed that each time Illustrator CC asked me to send a crash report from my home machine to Adobe it would pull the email from the preferences on my home machine, not the email that the CC account was made with (which is the email on my work machine). It could be that leaving Illustrator CC/any of the CC apps open and inactive for a couple of days causes some kind of 'time out' period on the account.
This could explain why Illustrator CC would work again on my home machine (briefly) when trashing the account preferences.
So to re-cap I have solved my seemingly inexplicable problem by making sure that Illustrator CC is not left open for long periods of inactivity (2 days seems to be the threshold) on one machine, if the account is being shared across two machines.
Please let me know if this A. makes sense and B. helps anyone.

The Move Tool not working in InDesign CC 2014, no click-and-drag. What Can I do to fix it?

It just started not working this week. I am unable to click-and drag anything in my document with the Move Tool. I have noticed that I can click-and-drag objects if I switch to the Free Transform Tool. Ok work around for now but I want to fix the issues. I have tried deleting the preferences and reinstalling the program but with no luck.
Anyone have any suggestions?

I have looked into replacing my preferences but I cannot find a good preferences in which to copy and use.

Cant click and drag with one finger, but works with 3 fingers

Last week, my trackpad starts to fail. Thing is that i can't click and drag with one finger but if i turn on the 3 finges option, i can tap and drag without a problem Check the prefs, universal access too. And everything is ok.
Reset pram, smc , run & fix permissions but nothing.
Looking around the internet i found a possible hint and is related to a bad battery condition. But that post talks a physical defective battery. Mine last like 2 hours.Under the battery icon in the finder it saids tha should be replace soon. Macbook pro late 2008. 4 gb ram , 500 gb hd, 10.7.3
Any suggestions??

It sounds like an accessibility feature, although I'm not 100% sure. You can explore the accessibility settings if you like, or for a quick fix you can try going into Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings.

Selection Tool suddenly acting like Direct Selection Tool during click-and-drag

Hello!
This morning, my Selection Tool (the filled-in arrow) is acting like a Direct Selection Tool (the hollow arrow), but only when I click and drag on a group. It ends up select the anchors within the group rather than the whole group itself.
I've checked my preferences, quit and relaunched Illustrator a few times, and nothing seems to fix it. The problem briefly went away a few minutes ago, but came back when I quit and relaunched for good measure.
It's happening in Illustrator CS 5.1. I have CS6, and that version works fine, but I'm waiting on some plugins to be updated for it, so I'd like to use CS 5.1. I'm also running the latest Suitcase Fusion 4.
Any input on this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Does the cursor appear correct, do you have any other keys depresessed?
The CMD key will make selection tool into direct slection. What OS are you running, update as there was a modifier key problem through 10.6.5 - 10.6.7

Cant Double Tap (Click) and Drag. Have to CLICK and drag

In os x snow leo i could double tap my trach pad and drag. But in lion i cant. I have to Click the button and drag. I am using a 2008 (Early - Non Unibody) MBP. This is really irritating me coz i cant drag windows or folders/files and rarrange them. is there a feature or setting i can fix.

The one you mentioned is the "Two Finger Drag" I am asking if the "Three Finger Drag" would work for you or if you even tried it? It allows you to select a file and drag it anywhere. Even to another folder.
As a side note you mentioned your click feature is "broken?" Is there no physical click? If so you may have to check your battery if it is bulging and impeding the trackpad. This is a good start to take a look if your battery is the one physically impeding the trackpad.

Applications crash immediately when I click and drag object. Every time in every Adobe program.

Application crashes when I click and drag object. Any time I am in an adobe program on my new computer (OS X Yosemite 10.10.1, 15 inch macbook pro 2.5gHz) say Illustrator for example, it will be fine until I inevitably need to click and drag something.
It immediately crashes, every single time. Same with Premiere, same with AE, same with photoshop. This is a brand new computer and I've tried all available versions CC2014, CC, and CS6. Anybody have some idea of what is happening? I've also tried using a bluetooth mouse to see if it's a problem with the touchpad. How could clicking and dragging cause every single application to crash 100% of the time.

Command+click and drag to select multiple files

Hi everyone,
I switched about a year ago and recently joined this group. I love OS X and will never go back to windoze, however after recently upgrading to Tiger, I went to command+click and drag to select multiple files in order to drag them to the trash, all I succeeded in doing was to drop one file into the next folder down. Did I miss a check box somewhere, or something. It feels like windoze now, having to command+click individual files to select more than one, or use the edit menu to "select all".
I'm not going back to Panther just to get back this feature I miss, and was hoping there is a way to get it to work in Tiger, any suggestions?

You might find this easy to do in column view:
1. Select a group of contiguous files by clicking on the first, then hold down the shift key and click on the last one you want, all files between first and last will be selected.
2. To add an odd file here and there to the group hold down the command key and click on the file.
Thus you can quickly select an entire group in the middle with click/shift click, then add additional files individually to the selected group.

Issues with Illustrator click and drag

on new Macbook Pro OSX 10.10.2
Recently Illustrator has been slow at tracking my mouse and freezes when I click and drag, and eventually makes the program unresponsive. I have restarted the program, checked to make sure I have the most recent updates. I have also tried restarting my computer, and also running Illustrator without any other programs open and it still doesn't seem to fix the problem.
I am not experiencing any other difficulties in running other programs, including indesign, photoshop, acrobat, chrome, autocad, etc.

AI 10 is now 10 years or so old and was never tested on nor designed for Win 7 or Win 8. You should simply assume it's not compatible and will never run properly. feel free to spend your time with the compatibility modes and al lsorts of hacking with the security stuff and otehr settings, but to be honest, it will probably be a waste of time.

Selection Tools, Click and drag to select option

Hi! I would really appreciate some help with AI. Im working on a Mac book pro.
I have previously been working on CorelDraw and have now moved over to AI again.
I dont understand why I cant Click and drag my selection tool over certain objects and then select those objects. When I click and drag the selection tool or any other selection tool, it selects EVERYTHING on the page. I just want to click, drag and select the objects that I want to group together. Is there some sort of setting where I can do this?? I have watched tutorials about the selection tools. The tutorials show that this is possible but for some reason mine isnt doing it...
I hope this makes sense, please please can someone assist me.

This may be relevant to the strangenesses that you encounter.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Transparent Background Actual Pixels and Clicking and Dragging Zoom

So I had to reinstall Photoshop for a number a reasons, and because of this I lost all of my settings.
There's two settings I lost and don't remember what I did to turn them on.
1. The Transparent Background is actual pixel size.
I don't like zooming in and seeing the transparent background not change. I liked it when it was 12x12 pixels per transparent box. What setting do I have check or change to get that back to normal?

2. Clicking and Dragging Zoom.
When I now click and drag, I gives me an area I want to zoom in. I don't like this at all. I'm not animating in flash, I'm just drawing. I liked it better when I clicked and dragged up, down, left or right to zoom in on the area I clicked on. What setting is that to enable that?

The way you're seeing it work now (with the checkerboard size remaining the same on the screen no matter what the zoom) is the expected way with the Graphics Processor Advanced settings set to Drawing Mode Normal or Advanced. If you want it to work the way it did before, go into your Preferences - Performance dialog, click the [Advanced Settings...] button, and choose Basic drawing mode.
Regarding the Zoom... Select the Zoom Tool, and look in the Options bar (up near the top of the Photoshop main window). Change the [ ] Scrubby Zoom checkbox.

I can't 'click and drag' in the apps page to upload like it directs

I just signed up to creative cloud. I try to click and drag to uplaod in the apps page but nothing happens. I have used Photoshop and Indesign before as a trial. When I try to go through different pages to upload these programs through my creative cloud, it only gives me an option to 'buy'. What the hell is going on and why does Adobe website have to be so complicated?

You cannot upload to the Creative Cloud Apps page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps, but you can upload to the Creative Cloud Files page at https://creative.adobe.com/files. Click on the Files link in the top left of the page.
You will now be able to drag and drop files from the Windows Explorer or Mac OS X Finder onto the page and have them upload. The other way to upload is to use the Upload menu item after clicking on the blue Actions button in the top right.
And if instead you are trying to download and install an application here is help for that:
You should be able to sign in with your Adobe ID to the Creative Cloud Apps page at https://creative.adobe.com/apps and click the Download link for an application. The first time the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) will download and install. After that AAM will handle installing applications.
