InDesign CS6 Probleme

InDesign CS6 Master: Manche Button und Memuefenster (Ebenen) reagieren ploetzlich nicht mehr.
Plötzlich reagieren einige Buttons nicht mehr (z.B. Schriften, oder einige Ebenenveränderungen). Bei Neu-Dateien oder auch bei gespeicherten Dateien.
Ich habe einige Schriftarten aus Window 7 (32 bit) aus dem Font-Ordner gelöscht. War ein Tipp aus Adobe. Ohne Erfolg.
Wieder Schriften in InDesign CS6 und Windows (Fonts-Ordner) von der Masten CS6-DVD hineinkopiert. Ohne Erfolg.
Ich habe InDesign CS6 deinstalliert - nach früheren Adobe-Vorgaben mit dem Clean-Tool und manueller Bereinigung. Dann erfolgte von der originalen DVD eine Neuinstallation von InDesign CS6. Keine Änderung der Probleme. Ohne Erfolg also.
In den anderen CS-Programmen von PhotoShop CS6 und Illustrator CS6 konnte ich keine Fehler entdecken.
Wer kann helfen?

Indesign CS6 Problems with OS X Services

With Indesign CS5.5, services work, but not in CS6 on Snow Leopard. What I mean is, if you select some text (in my case Tex text), go to the Indesign menu, select Services, then select something like Typeset LaTex Text, Indesign says the service cannot be used, and the reason revealed in the Console is this:

No issues so far on my 2012 Mac Mini but after using this new system for 2 days I find no improvement or features that I would use from ML version. Probably more trouble updating than it was worth.

InDesign CS6 problems updating to get Digital Publishing Suit

When I open the folio builder it tells me to update in order to get the digital publishing suit.
But when i try to update, it tells me my indesign is already up to date.
My problem is very similar to this thread below, just that mine is a CS6 version, i've tried to use the solution for the indesign CC (the one linked below) but it doesn't work.

My friend found out the answer.
Just re download indesign from the site and update it again, it should work.

Indesign CS6 problems; export/save as .pdf

I get big sections of text no longer text but dashed lines as well as funny "missing font" problems of fonts that don't exist/I don't use. Any help would be appreciated, as I have never had this problem before with CS, CS2 or CS4.

I'll say to you what I always say in response to this statement when no true bug has been established. 99% of the time what users think are bugs turn out, if you spend the time to dig deep enough, to be some sort of software conflict or configuration issue on the user's own machine. Most true bugs show up here in the forum pretty quickly with dozens, if not hundreds, of complaints, unless they are triggered by something very obscure that most users never do. Export to PDF, Times New Roman, and paragraph rules don't really fit the obscure description, and I don't believe other users will be able to consistently reproduce your problems, let alone the Adobe engineers (and they can't fix waht they can't reliably reproduce).
I don't blame you for going back to a system that works to get your project done, but if you want to progress with using CS6 I think you need to do some more work on your end. Consistently odd behavior, and you're telling us now about more than one oddity, can be casued by damaged preferences, easy to test (see Replace Your Preferences) or a failed or damaged appliction installation. You may find, when you have time, that uninstalling, running the clean tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3) and reinstalling will help. Running in diagnostic mode, with startup programs and extensions disabled, is also a good way to check for software conflicts you might not suspect.

um eine Postkarte partiell mit UV-Lack zu beschichten, habe ich folgende Anweisung meiner Druckerei befolgt:
In Adobe InDesign wählen Sie Lack als normale Farbe in der Farbfelder-Palette aus. Um eine Lackfarbe zu erstellen, wählen Sie in der Farbfelder-Palette Neues Farbfeld. Es öffnet sich ein neues Dialogfenster. Hier geben Sie den Farbnamen Lack ein. Da diese Farbe nicht aus CMYK zusammengesetzt wird, wählen Sie den Farbtyp Volltonfarbe. Stellen Sie nun als Farbe 100% Magenta ein. Wählen Sie nun das Objekt Ihrer Wahl mit dem schwarzen Pfeil an und duplizieren Sie dieses. Legen Sie das Objekt passgenau über das andere und färben Sie dieses mit der neu erstellten Lackfarbe ein. Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie alle Objekte, welche Sie mit der Lackfarbe eingefärbt haben auf Überdrucken stellen. Gehen Sie hierzu in die Attribute-Palette und markieren Fläche Überdrucken mit einem Häkchen. Nun schimmern unter den eingefärbten Flächen die darunterliegenden Objekte durch.
Leider schimmert bei mir das darunterliegende Bild nicht durch und die Volltonfarbe wird vollfächig und mit 100% Magenta dargestellt - was läuft da schief?
Ich habe alle Schritte nochmals geprüft und meines Erachtens habe ich alle Punkte richtig befolgt...

The HP Deskjet 845c is actually no longer supported on Mac OS X since version 10.6:

You may try installing the 3rd party HPIJS drivers which seems to support the 845c.
Be sure to install any of the 3 required download prior adding the printer:

Problem in Launching Adobe Media Encoder, in adobe Indesign CS6

I have problem in launching the shortcut of adobe media encoder. i have virtualized the Adobe INdesign CS6 in that we have 5 shortcuts, 4 of them are x32bit it works fine , but the shortcut media encoder is of x64bit. is not launching . while launcing i will get the error like Adobe Media Encoder CS6.0 has stoped working. close programm.
virtualized in Thinapp 5, build is x64bit , RAM=4gb.
   I have tried enbaling AltArchitectureShortcut=1 in packaging.ini.
    Merged Adobe PCD which is located in %Program Files Common% which was having the permission issue.
    Created the TEMP In %Local AppData% .
    Tried capturing without launching the shortcut .
    Merged the cache folder which are all related to the Media Encoder shortcut.
    Captured with Standard users account.
    Gave Merged permission to required folder and tested.
Please suggest me in this

Problem in the exportation to PDF (Indesign CS6):
Page with 3 layers: 1st background image, 2nd semi-transparent white square, 3rd text in color black.
It looks OK in Indesign, but when exporting, in the PDF file the letters are not black, they are gray. What could happened? I've tryed already the obvious solutions (the order of layers is OK, restarted the PC...)

the default [Black] swatch (0/0/0/100 in CMYK) really is a lighter color than a rich black mixed from four CMYk ink, or 3 RGB colors. It would be pretty unusual to see a black background in an image that wasn't a mix.
Do you have the preference in ID for Appearance of Black set to Display All Blacks Accurately? That will show you the difference in ID on screen as well.

Indesign CS6 on MACs with OS 10.8 are having problems with links

Indesign CS6 on MACs with 10.8 are having problems with links. All links to other files have to be updated when opening a file although definitely nothing has changed to the linked files.
We can rule out our company's networking and the system hosting the files (HELIOS software on RedHat Linux VM). This happens with newly created Indesign files and with old ones. E.g. we create a file on Tuesday, save it and open it again on the exact same MAC on Wednesday and all links to other fiels (.indd, .png, .bmp, etc. nothing uncommon) have to be updated as they all show the yellow triangle + black exclamation mark symbol next to them. Has anybody else experienced this, What can we do? We have tried absolutley everything and updated all software from MAC OS to CS6 itself but nothing seems to help on the long run.
Any further information required?

We actually noticed that there also seems to be something wrong with the timestamps:
If we open the infos via the MAC finder to a file (.psd e.g.) which is linked in one of our indesign files, it states a certain date of creation.
If we then switch to the Indesign file we just opened in which we had to update all links and open the infos to exactly the same file we looked at in the finder, a different date of creation is stated. So there also seems to be a mistake here (hope it's clear what I mean).
We are ruling out our network as the error cannot be "re-enacted". We have created numerous test files in Indesign (simple white page containing one link to a .psd file which is also used in one of the supposedly defective files) and have opened them on various MACs with various OS versions over the past days/weeks but unfortunately the files open without any notifications or errors.
Just as a background: a few months ago, the problem seemed to occur between MACs with differing OS, 10.6 - 10.8 at first. A file which was created on a 10.6 MAC could not be opened without updating all links on a 10.8 MAC. That is why we updated everything to 10.8. The error did not occur for about 2-3 weeks but then reoccured again.?
Have you heard anything similar?

I have a problem with the start of InDesign CS6 linked to the presence or absence of internet.
I need to set an IP without internet on the Mac where I installed InDesign, but when I do it right after the splash screen the program freezes for a few minutes, after which starts.
With internet this problem does not occur.
I have already activated the CS6 both online and offline, but the problem continues.

You need to tell us more about what you are doing. Once activated, ID should not require internet access to run unless it needs to verify the subscription status.

InDesign CS6 - fonts problems (Document fonts fight with system installed fonts, "font incomplete")

First, Indesign function to automatically open fonts from "Document fonts" folder is fantastic, quasy font manager. BUT, fonts is available ONLY for THAT indesign document, no other application can use it, even from CS6 suite. This is probably the most stupid decision about how this function must work. IDEALLY, fonts will be available for ALL application inside CS package until indd doc is closed. If I need some font for editing links in photoshop, illustrator I need to install them. This workflow have wrong concept.
We now have problem, sorry Indesign have problem. Example, I need type1 font mt-symbol for mathtype AND for Indesign. This font is installed in c:\windows\fonts folder. Everything work fine. When I make package from Indesign and reopen indesign indd document inside package, Indesign report that mt-symbol IS INCOMPLETE. WHY, BECAUSE CONCURENT FONTS from both C:\windows\fonts folder AND FROM "Document fonts" folder. If I rename "Document fonts" folder, Indesign open font only from system and everything work properly.
THIS IS BIG PROBLEM, fonts circles around workflow/folders and always will be duplicates in "document fonts" and system\fonts folder because different application need same fonts.
Any solution?

Another problem with the Document Fonts folder that we just noticed: in CS5, you could place Windows Type 1 fonts (.pfm and .pfb) into the Document Fonts folder on a Mac and InDesign would activate them.
This no longer works in CS6. (Bug report filed.)
Huge bummer, as this was a great timesaver and workaround in a high-production prepress environment when working with old Windows files. Hopefully this was not an intentional change and will be restored in a later bugfix release, or at worst in CS7.

InDesign CS6 interactive pdf problem

Hi, I've created an interactive pdf using InDesign CS6; document contains text fields and radio buttons. When exported the radio buttons flicker when you hover over them or click to make a selelction. Does anyone know how to prevent this? Many thanks

I have a hunch it could be an Acrobat/Reader limitation.
Set up a part of the form without the radio buttons but just use circles. Export a PDF and open in Acrobat. Use Acrobat's Form Field Recognition to turn the circles into radio buttons (or use Acrobat's form feature to create radio buttons with the same value).
I doubt it's InDesign that's the problem.

Problem in integrating FlexUIStroke sample in CS4 SDK with Indesign CS6

I want to add a flex panel to the adobe indesigner using a indesigner plugin. For that I used the FlexUIStroke sample project in the CS4 product SDK. But I have adobe indesigner CS6. I successfully built the FlexUIStroke project and created a plugin file and added to the indesign plugin folder. But when I try to start the indesign it display error message that the plugin is not a valid plugin. I need to know what can be the cause of the message. If that approch doesn't work what are the alternative approaches that I can take to integrate a flex panel to the indesigner using a indesigner plugin?

Unfortunately the form still returns the 'no matches found for [email protected]' I've changed the URL field on the submit button to mailto: xxxxx@xxxx and I've also tried it with no space after the mailto:, unfortunately both these return the above error message. This is the same whatever email address I try. I'm starting to tear my hair out with this one. I've tried it on my home PC arunning Norton Internet Security and on my works PC running Avast. Same problem on both.
