Indesign Debug SDK and Enterprise Developer Program

Hi everyone,
This question has been asked in the forum before ( http://forums.adobe.com/thread/869150?tstart=30 ), but I can't seem to find a way to obtain the debug SDK for inDesign.
From what I understood, in order to get it we need to join some kind of program, but what program and how?
Here's our situation, we're building a simple plugin that will allow our users to download content they've stored on our web application directly from inDesign via our API. We won't be charging them for this plugin. And that will probably be the only plugin we'll ever develop.
I've checked the Solution Partner program ( http://solutionpartners.adobe.com/LC_Register ) and I don't think we match any of those criteria.
I've also checked the Entreprise Developer Program ( http://www.adobe.com/devnet/aedp.html  ) But wasn't sure that's what we need. I contacted Adobe to ask them if it was the right program to subscribe to, what they answered me was: "do you have a subscription to the AEDP?"... Well, no, otherwise I wouldn't be asking.
I can't believe it's that hard to get a Debug version of a software. Hopefully you guys will be more helpful.

It's one 'account' either way, run by a 'team'.
A team is one or more users acting in one or more roles.

*What privileges does each user role have?*
There are four distinct user roles:
Admin: This role gives the user access to all iTunes Connect modules. Admin users have the ability to create, delete or modify existing iTunes Connect users. The initial iTunes Connect user is granted both the Admin and Legal roles by default.
Legal: This role is only available to the initial iTunes Connect user. This role allows the individual to enter into agreements with iTunes via iTunes Connect. The user with this role will be the only user allowed to generate promotional codes.
Finance: This role gives the user access to Financial Reports and Contracts, Tax and Banking Information, and Sales/Trend Reports modules. This user will also be able to view the Manage Users module, but will only be able to edit their own personal user information.
Technical: This role gives the user access to Manage your Applications, Manage Your In App Purchases and Manage Users modules. As with the Finance user role, Technical users have limited access to the Manage Users module. They have the ability to view other usersʼ profiles, but will only be able to edit their own personal user information.

  • Enterprise developer program

    Hi,
My boss asked me to locate information on the enterprise developer program, I know that it's a yearly subscription of $299, but does this mean that it's $299 per developer? or can you create a team and it's just subscription per company at $299? This information is not available on the site, or I've been just unable to find it.
    Thanks

  • Enterprise developer program features

Actually I want to distribute my own application through a private website.
unfortunately the problem is a section of the app use some private framework libraries which is invalid as point of view of Apple.
So there is a question and it's "May i distribute these kind of app via an Enterprise Developer Program?"
    seriously appreciate for your respect,
    regards,

If I'm right, then why do you ask again if you can do something different? The bottom line is that you can do whatever you want, until Apple kicks you out of the developer program and revokes all of your certificates. Apple runs the developer program at its own convenience for its own reasons. It isn't for you. You are only allowed to use it to the extent that you provide value to Apple, Inc. shareholders. That's the way the world works my friend.

  • Does Adobe Enterprise Developer Program (AEDP) support Digital Publishing?

The company I work has a series of clients that use the Digital Publishing suite, and more often than ever they are demaning help on customization and enhancing their solutions. I was wondering if the "Adobe Enterprise Developer Program" covers Digital Publishing as well, as this isn't very clear for me from the program's page (I tried contacting them by email, but it has been almost a week and I didn't get an answer yet).
    Thanks,

I think you misunderstood me. I was not asking where to find it. I was remarking on its magnitude.
ADEP is essentially what would have been LiveCycle ES 3. Considering we
have 70+ forums for the current and previous versions of LiveCycle and
there are new components due to the integration of Day Software it isn't
    really all that much.
I just hope that dismantling the old LiveCycle forums is going to be
done a bit more aggressively because there are quite a few LC forums

  • Distributing a DPS app via iOS Enterprise Developer program?

    Hello.
I have been asked to produce an app, to be created using the Adobe DPS (single edition), for distrubutions via Apple's iOS Enterprise Developer program (thus, the app will be released internally, to enterprise-provisioned iPads, not via the App Store). I have been unable to find any information if this is possible or not. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, but again, I'm hoping that someone knows the answer?
    Thanks,
    Kristin.

It requires an enterprise DPS account. It's a feature offered to DPS enterprise customers to sign an app with an enterprise certificate.

  • ANNOUNCEMENT: Adobe Enterprise Developer Program is LIVE!

I'm happy to announce a brand new developer program targetting individual developers. Benefits include:
    - Developer licenses of all Adobe enterprise software, including Adobe LiveCycle & Adobe Acrobat
    - Unlimited e-mail and web based support for 1 year
    - Access to pre-release software, SDKs and other tools to help make development easier
    - Monthly e-mail newsletter sent out to all members highlighting new content and resources
Cost: $1495 per year, per developer (not per company)
This is a different approach than ASN (Adobe Solutions Network) Developer Program, which targets an organization (vs. individual developer)
More information and a link to join is available at http://partners.adobe.com/public/asn/developer/detail_edp.html

    Are you being serious?
If you've done any programming in Java then I'd really have hoped you already realised it is a platform independent programming language, that was Sun's original intention when they created it ,  to be able to run compiled code on any Java Virtual Machine regardless of the platform:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_%28programming_language%29
And as for "dot net" - do you not realise that this is purely a MS Windows development framework?!!
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.NET_Framework
Just to be clear, (and I realise I'm being picky here, given that English isn't likely to be your first language), they are not "developer programs", they are programming languages or frameworks.
And for further clarification, the Mac operating system does support Java development, and does not support .Net (unless you install Windows on it!)
I can't comment on the 'mainframe' bit you're referring to without more detail.

  • Single edition and enterprise developer account

    Hello,
I would like to know if it s possible to create a single edition issue and make it available only on the account of my company, on the enterprise developer acount.
Or i could make it available for just people i selected?
    Thanks for your help.

You can create a private distribution folio via the enterprise level account.
To do this you'll need the a DPS Enterprise license, an Enterprise level Apple Developer account, a secured server to host the private app on (Apple requires it to be behind username and password security).
This will allow you to provide a location outside the App Store for employees to go to download the folio. As I understand it, you can't just put up a single edition app like you would on the app store, but you'll produce the content viewer and then publishing your folio through that content viewer. You can make it feel like a single edition by triggering automatic download of the folio that will live in the private content viewer.

  • Cost of Adobe Enterprise Developer Program

    Hello There @ Adobe,
I'm really wondering that if we need AEDP license to use Extension Builder 3 in our organization. If the answer is yes, then could someone help me out to know the yearly cost of these licenses.
Any helpful link or contact number would also be a great help.
    Thanks in advance
    Mac

    Hello !
Don't use Extension Builder 3, it doesn't work anymore.
An extension is just a bunch of files (basically web files (css, html, js), jsx files, and a manifest file) that you copy to a specific folder (when you're developing) and then package and install.
You don't need any paying tools for this (and adobe doesn't sell any, as far as I know (I don't work for adobe)). You will need a couple of tools from adobe (for editing jsx, and for signing your extension... I think that's all), but they're free.
Here is the new (somewhat undercover) home page for extensions : https://github.com/Adobe-CEP/CEP-Resources
There you will find links to everything you need to get started.

  • Iphone developer program or free iphone sdk - where is the difference?

    I am a bit confused.
on one hand I can download the free iphone sdk on the other hand there is the $99 iphone developer program.
    where is the difference?

And the Developer Program isn't the computer kind of program. It is the other kind, meaning "a plan or system under which action may be taken toward a goal." It is how Apple tracks those who want seriously want to distribute to through the iApp Store.

  • I want to start objective-c programming and app development. Any pointers as to what affordable hardware and software is good enough for absolute beginners?

I'm interested in learning objective c programming and iOS software programming. I want to get an affordable macbook for that purpose. any advice on the hardware specs and software tools to get me started? I also like to do the general tasks on the device....

If you're new to iPhone development, then you should definitely read this first:
My First iPhone App, a Programming Tutorial.
In a nutshell if you want to develop for the iPhone:
You need a Mac Computer of some kind, Mac Mini, iMac, MacBook etc. You cannot develop for the App Store on a Windows or Linux PC.
Join the Free iPhone Developers Program. This gives access to the SDK and Xcode development system which you download and install. It includes an emulator so you can test most apps except those which need hardware such as the camera or GPS.
Pay $99 a year for access to the developer program. This lets you install apps on your own iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad. It also gives earlier access to betas and past versions of the SDK.
    Development Process
So you've been developing away and have got a version that runs in the emulator. Next you've paid your $99 and been accepted in the developer's program. This means you can now try your app out on your iPhone. Here is an overview of how you do that. Apple's developer website provides a lot more detail.

  • Compare 'debug deployment' and 'development'

What are the differences between the debug deployment and the development version? I read the short text about the debug deployment version but this isn't enough for me.
Is it possible to do 'skip' and 'run selected steps'?
Or is there somewhere a nice table which compares the three versions, base debug and development?
    Cheers Frank
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hey Frank,
    Here's a link: http://www.ni.com/teststand/depcompare.htm
However that still isn't as satisfying as I would like either so let me see if I can explain.
The development and the debug deployment are exactly the same except that you are ONLY supposed to use the debug version to debug your deployed sequences.  Basically it allows you to have a sequence editor on the deployment machine for the sole purpose of debugging.  That's how I understand it anyway.  You can skip and run selected steps with the debug version.
    Hope that helps,

  • Do I automatically obtain a license after signing in the iOS Developer Program

Do I automatically obtain a license after signing in the iOS Developer Program? Is there a maximum number of licenses that can be obtained in the iOS Program?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
With one Apple ID, you can obtain one license for the iOS Developer Program, Mac Developer Program and Safari Developer Program. If you want more for other people, these people will have to register on the iOS Developer Program with their own Apple ID. You will get the license for the iOS Developer Program during the next 24 hours after submitting the request, depending on the time it takes to Apple to check the credit card
