InDesign Extraction Error

I have downloaded the InDesign_8_LS16.7z file twice using the alternate down load method, I will not use that virus of a Akami downloader. Both copies of the 7z file compare exactly the same.

However when I run the EXE to extract the file, once it reaches 100% complete I receive the following dialog:
"A Problem occurred while extracting some files. Check available space on your computer and the write privledges on the destination folder."
I have done this on two separate x64 computers (Win7 & Vista) logged in as a user with administrative rights. I don't have these types of errors installing or extracting any other software (for instance the trial version of Photoshop CS6).
Both computers have adequate space to extract the files. However in the created folders I see alot of zero byte files, for instance like this:

Both computers compare the same for the extracted number of Adobe InDesign CS6 files, and bytes:
589 MB (618,496,815 bytes)
521 Files, 110 Folders
Clearly data is being dropped and not extracted without error until the end of the process, Any ideas on how to solve this problem ?

I can't understand why space should be an issue when I have 90GB free.
Winzip does not appear to open the file for me, so I'll have to assume I need a newer version to do so.
The issue appears to be that the Alternate download file is not valid. I've downloaded it twice with the same results AND both downloaded files compare ok. In otherworks byte for byte they are exactly the same.
However when I used a different non-production computer and installed that virus like Akami Download Manager, the main downloaded (878.64 MB) files do not compare exactly the same:

In other words there's a slight difference between those two file methods available for me to download. One InDesign_8_LS16.7z download file works correctly to extract all the files for installation, and one does not.
Is there some place to report this more directly to Adobe ? I'm convinced with all the effort I've gone to have this work, that their posted Alternate Download file is not valid.

I would have never figured that out myself. Thank you so much! On behalf on my dad a big thanks as well, because he is going to use Adobe InDesign CC (2014).
Here, a local, standard user account worked for me. However, the password of an Administrator account was required once.
Here, any username longer than 13 created that error code, for example I tried "AInDesignCC14" unsuccessfully. Usernames with 12 or less characters worked, for example "InDesignCC14" worked.
Just renaming an existing account did not work, because the personal folders did not change in name. Therefore, I was forced to create a new account.

CC 2014 update extraction error on Mac

When attempting to update to CC 2014 on Mac OS 10.9.3, I'm repeatedly met with "Update Failed: Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press Retry to download again. (U44M1I210)."
Strange enough, Adobe Media Encoder and Adobe After Effects updated to their 2014 versions no problem, but this broke the dynamic link to Premiere. (Another hassle to deal with throughout the work day until Premiere is updated)
Adobe Illustrator stalled at 42% for 3 hours, so I quit the Creative Cloud manager and tried again. Continuously met with the same extraction error message.
Any resolutions out there? Restarting the computer and repairing permissions has not yielded any change.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I found that simply deleting the ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/ directory was a faster solution than taking the time out of my day to uninstall and reinstall all of my Adobe apps. I will be submitting a bug report to address the issue with the Creative Cloud updater.

You need to try exporting the first half of the book.
If that exports ok then export the other half of the book.
Whatever half it fails on - keep dividing the book in half to find the culprit page or pages.
For example if your book is 128 pages long:
1. Export pages 1 - 63
2. If these Fail to Export then
3. try exporting1-32
4. If these Fail to Export
5. then try exporting1-16
If it doesn't fail (step 2)
Then export pages 64-128
and 64-90 etc.
until you find the pages causing the issues.

Cost Center hierarchy extraction errors

Hi,
I'm trying to extract R3 Cost center hierarchies into BW and in doing so, I get following errors. Could some one shed some light on these errors.
Extraction (messages):Errors occured
Error occured in the data selection
But, I successfully extracted Cost center master data from R3 just before hierarchy extraction.
I also checked RSA3 for the hierachy that I'm trying and it pulled around 2000 records in R/3 datasource extractor.

I don't get any other useful messages in the log & here is the entire log.

Indesign 2014 error msg

How can I resolve Indesign 2014 error msg: cannot convert to color space, no source or destination path?

The color tab is blank and the swatches palette only has the basic rgb colors (no other swatches). I see the error message when I try to load rgb or cmyk into the color tab. Interestingly: the Indesign cc 2013 (still installed on my computer) has access to all the color swatches and palettes. Is there a way to establish the correct color path/destination for Indesign 2014? My OS is Windows 7.

I downloaded Photoshop CS3 and run the installer. After it extracted some part of installator files it displays extraction error, so the installator placed on the ADOBE.COM web site is corrupted. Where to find correct one?

I rebuild the report using a tabular form and populated the primary key with a PL/SQL expression and now it appears to be working. P1_ISSUE_NO is the primary key on the issue table and I could not figure how to get it in the issue_no field of the tabular report when a new line was entered I ended up putting the following code in for the default for
issue_no on the report:

end
It works great.

I have used Adobe download assistant for a trial version of InDesign. The downloads section shows a message "Extracting... this may take a while", and it has been few days that this message is still there. How do I stop this download and reinstall if necessary? I'm using MacBook.

I am trying to install a trail for InDesign CC to finish a project soon. I downloaded Creative Cloud, the app is in my folder, but it won't open and when I try to download InDesign an error pops up saying Adobe is trying to install malware.

I just installed Creative Cloud in order to download a trial for InDesign. I have the app icon for CC, but it won't open. When it was in my toolbar (on a mac) it just sat there loading for about 15 minutes. I tried restarting it but it won't open at all now. I also tried downloading an InDesign trail and it won't open at all. When I click for it to download an error message pops up saying Adobe is trying to instal malware and asks me if I want to continue. When I say yes, it doesn't do anything. I have a brochure that needs to go to the client by 4pm today! EEK!

Sydneybling it does sound like your security software is interfering with the process of installing and utilizing your Adobe Creative applications. I would recommend that you try temporarily disabling your security software and utilizing the directions listed at Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html to install InDesign CC.

Need your advice on the problem that I have.
Expected Solution:
1. Create an extra column for displaying header output error message from VF02 into a report program.
Steps that i have did:
1. Go to transaction VF02.
2. Enter a billing document number.
3. Hit enter. Click "Goto" > Header> Output
4. Click on the status that is red colour. Click on "processing log".
5. Press "F1" on the red colour message type. (Found out that it is a structure).
Need your advice on the question that I have:
1) How do we know that which "not successfully" process output type belong to which error message class?

But for this issue about how to extract message for each output type. I have follow your steps by using SE30 to trace VF03 and I managed to found out that they are using this function module "WFMC_PROTOCOL_SHOW". Need your advice on this, how do we know each different output type with different error message is pulled from?
From my further research and in depth debugging into this function module, i manage to find this global internal table "PROTO_TAB" which stores all the text messages for each output. How does this internal table is populated?
