Indesign Files are not able to be open after update to CC
After updating all my Creative Suite to Creative Cloud I am unable to open Indesign files from Windows Explorer. Even when I right click on the files there is no option to "Open With" in the tab.
The only way to open the files is to open Indesign CC and then drag the files in.
Anyone have any insight on this?

Users are not able to save pdfs after editing. Product is Adobe XI, OS is Win7 64-bit. When saving, an error pops up that the file cannot be saved, it is in use. If they save as a different name, it works. Found several forums/blogs/etc that suggest the problem can be solved by closing the Window7 explorer preview pane. They don't use the preview pane. I figured out that if they completely close the explorer window, they can save. But this means they have to open and close explorer for each file.
Hi, I would like to chime in and say that this problem has not yet been resolved. It is extremely annoying when all I do is highlight a document in the file explorer and I get 5 errors (evenly spaced out about 20 seconds apart telling me that "Microsoft
Word Cannot Start (24)". These errors persist even after windows explorer and word are closed. And I don't want to start terminating processes just to make them stop every time.
I'm a little frustrated with this problem and the other problems I've encountered with MS Office 2013 with file corruption, crashing, 2010 compatibility issues, and the whole host of errors when trying to actually do WORK with Word.
I do work with long, complex reports in Word because that's the best way available for myself (and my coworkers) to use. However, I sincerely regret upgrading to Office 2013 because of it. I love it, all of its features, and its interface, but I simply cannot
use it without problems.

Some of my earliest photos are not showing on my phone5 after updating to iOS7. They can be seen in the app "over" which allows for art and lettering to be placed on a photo but I cannot find an album or year for photos before 2012 (in the photo app). The iphone says the photo content is there when I check in "about" under general in settings. So the pictures seem to be somewhere but I just can't access from from the photo app. Any suggestions. I also know that they were there before the iOS7 upgrade as I was looking for a pre 2012 picture last week and it we there.

MOV files are not able to be synced into iPhone.

Here is how I get this problem.
I took the video on the iPhone 4, imported in Image Capture into a MacBook, so now in MacBook it is like IMG_xxxx.MOV.
Now move this file into a Windows XP, where I sync my personal stuff is. So in iTune, under the Pictures tab, Include Video was checked, and after sync, the error message says:
some video items were not copied into iPhone because these videos are not able to play on this iPhone.
it was sync ok before, after I turned on iTuen and upgrade to 10.5.3.3 today, iTune for Windows.
but the funny thing is, that MOV file was initially generated on this iPhone, how come it says it can not be playback on this iPhone?
my iPhone is iPhone4, 5.0.1
any suggestion/idea?

Sysadmin/All users are not able to see responsibilities after login in EBSR12
I have followed the all notes from forums/metalinks. but no use.

I came know the issue bcoz of profile change.
on part of iSupport setup on web node, followed metalink DMZ configuration in R12.
After I have changed below profile value, I am not able to see the responsibilities after login as sysadmin on webnode i.e new node B. but I can see responsibilities on node A.
Update Node Trust Level
To change the value of the Node Trust Level profile option value to External for a particular node, perform the following steps:
1. Login to Oracle E-Bsonapness Suite as sysadmin user sonapng the internal URL
2. Select the System Administrator Responsibility
3. Select Profile / System
4. From the 'Find system profile option Values' window, select the server and get the valie MINE8 into it.
5. Query for %NODE%TRUST%. You will see a profile option named 'Node Trust Level'. The value for this profile option at the site level will be Normal. Leave this setting unchanged.
6. Set the value of this profile option to External at the server level. The site level value should remain set to Normal
I need to follow metalink note for configuration DMZ in EBS R12. but I cant see the responsibilities of sysadmin.
fyi...I have cloned web external node by running adcfgclone.pl on node B by enabling web entry and web services only, remaining services are disabled. but as per metalink note, we should enable the Root Services also on node B. is it causing the issue after edit the profile on part of DMZ config in R12.
please let me know how to fix this issue?

File Adapter not able to read quotes after pipe
I have flat file delimited by pipe |, and optionally enclosed by " quot, below is the xsd definition

the file adapter fails to read |", but if I put a space between them, all works well. But, if it is continuous it fails to read resulting in an error.
any help in reading such a string in nxsd would be of great help..

Replace the single ticks with double ticks. For some reason it does not display well in the forum.

Not able to generate reports after 8.1.1.3 patch installation

We are not able to generate reports after 8.1.1.3 patch installtion.
and we also followed workaround as below
1) Import the sif files from Siebel\8.1\Tools_1\REPPATCH\12-1VMBCSV.zip
2) Import the 4 SIF files in the following order:
S_XMLP_REP_TMPL_02112010.sif
SBL_XMLP_REPORT_SELECTION_FLG.sif
Report Template BC.sif
Report Template Registration Applet.sif
3)Apply the DDL for table S_XMLP_REP_TMPL and compile repository
Still not able to generate Reports.

Reports were working fine and we are able to generate reports at configured views in 8.1.1.1 version.
After installing 8.1.1.3 patch, if we click on reports icon below is the error message displayed.
An error has occurred creating business component '<?>' used by business object '<?>'.
Please ask your systems administrator to check your application configuration. (SBL-DAT-00222).
- is it mandatory to configure security model?(in 8.1.1.1 we used default security model)?
-is it necessary to import BIPDataService and BIPSiebelSecurityWS inbound Web Services?
- I didn't see below views as mentioned in bookshelf.

Outlook 2013 are not opening and showing pst files are not closed properly
Hi
Outlook 2007 has stopped working and showing close the program. Again,we re-started then outlook 2007 and it has opened and taken the backup of pst files in a separate hard drive.
The pst file was repaired in scanpst.exe and again i have tried to put the pst file back in outlook 2007.It was hanging and suddenly i have uninstalled 2007 and started installing outlook 2013.
2013 applications like word,excel,power point are opening and outlook 2013 are not able to open and showing pst files were not closed properly.
Again i have un-installed and re-installed the outlook 2013.still we are not able to open the outlook.
Need your support at the earliest to fix the issue.

What's the .pst file used for? Archive? Or you set up a POP3 account and want to import the emails from the .pst file?
Another question, you mentioned you installed Outlook 2013 and it didn't open either. Was this from the beginning right after you installed Outlook 2013, or after you did something such as create a new Profile, set up a new account and tried to import the
.pst file?

I've seen some of this issue caused by the anti-malware software, check your anti-malware software to see if it's trying to interfere with Outlook - things like real time email checking can sometimes cause these kinds of problems. To troubleshoot, we can
simply disable the anti-malware software temporarily to see the result.

The way which i posted the question is not so clear.I want clarification in MS-Office word 2013.
I have opened the fresh word 2013 and working on the word to prepare some documents.
When i try to open the another saved word document it is overlapping one after another and the second word document showing blinking message and not able to open the second document.It is closing the second word document automatically.I can able to work
with only one opened document and not able to open multiple word documents at a same time.
The second question is How many word documents can be opened in a computer at a same time?Our work is based on word document only. some of the users are opening the different word documents in the same computer minimum six or seven word documents
and working on the same.
Suppose if we are opening and working with multiple word & excel file at a same time whether it will affect the system slow?

Addressing number that can be open at once...
This is a function of available RAM and hard drive space (although if you get into memory paging you really can slow down). It depends on the document size and also on processor speed. I have had 30 documents open at once. I often use Excel and Word at the
same time. The more you have open, the slower your system will be, although it may not be noticed until you push the limits.

Infrastructure:- (i) One Sql Server 2005 running on Windows server 2003 SP2 for RMS Database Storage.
(ii) ADDC & ADCS (no web enrollment) running on Windows server 2003 SP2. (FFL & DFL set to 2003)
(iii) ADRMS Running on Windows Server 2008.
(iv) Clients are using either Windows 7 with Office2010 pro or Windows 8 with Office 2013.
Question: Users are able to connect ADRMS Server and restrict permission to their documents without any issue. BUT CANNOT open the restricted document even by the owner/administrator. Whenever they try to open restricted docs a message appears " Cannot
configure your computer for Information Right Management at this time. Contact your administrator if this problem continues. "
I checked > 'rms.company.com' is added to local intranet site using IE.
So far I think clients computers are not able to retrieve the rms url.
Kindly, suggest how should I approach to the solution.

Have you registered SCP when installing ADRMS? If you can't remember, you can check this running ADSI Edit, connect to the configuration container in verify if those nodes exist CN=Configuration [server name], CN=Services, CN=RightsManagementServices,
CN=SCP. Right click on SCP and verify that serviceBindingInformation contains your https://rms.company.com/_wmcs/certification server name.

My InDesign file will not open! URGENT!

One of my InDesign files will not open, when I attempt to open it, I get a message saying "Cannot open file, Adobe may not support the file format, a plug-in that supports the format may be missing or the file may be open in another application." I'm not exactly sure what the issue is as I opened another one of my files previously and that one is still working fine. I'm using Windows 7, if anyone can help me I would really appreciate it.Right-click the file and choose Open With, then notepad, and post a screen capture of the first dozen or so lines of text.

PDF files are not opening in IE!!!
Some PDF files are not displayed while opening in browser IE . The PDF files are generated through servlets (JWS 2.1). While analysing the problem we have found that the one request invokes the doget() method of the servelet more than once. This problem is not appearing in netscape.
Please give suggestions.I am having the same sort of problem. I have a form posting to a servlet that displays a pdf based on the vars posted to it. My doPost() calls doGet(). When I post to the the servlet the doPost() is called and then it calls the doGet() and then SOMETHING else calls the doGet() again. Since the vars that I am using to load the pdf are posted they are out of scope for the second doGet(). I tried two things to fix this:
I changed my doPost() method to do nothing but check the request variables and hold on to them. Then I changed my doGet() to use the values that I held instead of the request vars. This only worked sometimes.
Then when I rolled all of my code back and changed my form from POST to GET everything worked fine. It seems that there is something that causes the browser to always call the GET when you are using application/pdf. If my doPost() calls my doGet() everything is lost on the second doGet() -

What version of ID? What OS? did you save from the menu, or by using the keyboard shortcuts?
There seems to be a bug, I think in CC 2014 on Mac, that is disabling the save and undo functions for some users. There are several threads about this. -

Content below Accordion widget not moving?
I want to have content below the accordion widget to slide down when one of the panels is open. Right now the accordion widget slides behind the content when one of the panels is open. I have "Overlap Items Below" checked. From the Lynda.com site: "
