für mein Studium "Regional- und Städteplanung" benötige ich beide oben genannten Anwendungen.
Meine Fragen:
1. Welches Paket ist für mich das richtige Paket? Photoshop CS5? Obwohl Photoshop habe ich schon auf meinem neuen DELL-Laptop drauf......
2. Sie die Produkte InDesign und Illustrator eigenständig anwendbar, wenn ich das Paket Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium Student and Teacher Edition
kaufe?
3. Wie unterscheiden sich die Studentenversionen von den Vollversionen in der Anwendung?

Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop Freezing. Arrgggggghhhh!

Hi All,
I've recently installed Fusion 3 and now I'm having a diabolical problem with my Creative Suite. Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop (though less often the latter) freeze - not just after a sleep etc, but up to every 5 or 10 minutes. I am going absolutely CRAZY and am becoming extremely frustrated. I googled the issue and have read in many forums that Extensis and the latest Fusion 3 update is the source of the problem. At this stage I am forcing quit and reopening documents consistently. The interruption to my work, schedule and deadlines is creating intense stress. I installed Fusion 3 last week but it's only since yesterday that the freezing has become apparent and immediately unbearable.
Does anyone have any advice? I can't go on like this. If I dump Fusion 3 and unistall it, will my problems go away? Sure, I won't be able to manage my fonts very well, but considering the alternative I couldn't care less. Can anyone recommend an alternative font management program that doesn't send Adobe programs into a full meltdown?
Here are my stats;
iMac running Version 10.6.8
Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 4GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Adobe Creative Suite 5
Please please - any advice greatly appreciated.

"Global Auto-Activation Options"
and then to check or uncheck...
Auto-acticate fonts for the following applications - the only application listed is Textedit
So I've unchecked it where I can.
I am running CS 5 and can't find the specific plugins you have noted, but have found the following pertaining to Extensis;
Illustrator/Plug-Ins/Extensions/ExtensisFontManagementAICS5.aip
Indesign/Plug-ins/Font Activation/ExtensisFontManagementIDCS5.InDesignPlugin
Photoshop/Plug-Ins/Automate/ExtensisFontManagementPSCS5.plugin
Are these the ones I should delete?

Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop video

Hi can anyone please send me or give me a link for a interactive simple and short video explaining the difference b/w Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop?
I need to give a presentation to some beginners and thought a video would be good to keep the audience engaged and have the three things explained. I need to give the presentation in 2 days so quick solutions will be great.

HI this is good. But i have already seen this.
Its very informative but somehow i felt it lacks the punch and fun factor in a video. I need something which captivates and entrances the audience, not a speech kind of a thing.

When I try to update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Unable to extract the downloaded files" - help please, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC

When I try to do a CC update I get an U44M1I210 error message, "Update failed - Unable to extract the downloaded files. Press retry to download again. (U44M1I210)" - help please - re-downloading makes no difference, applies to latest Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop CC, others seemed to update without problems. I can see the disk image files in AAMUpdater folder but they will not open and come up with "couldn't be opened - resource busy" message.

Yes Jeff, I did all those several times to no avail.
I've included a small error snippet from two installs here. In Creative Cloud when updating the Apps, all 3 get to 50%, then the failure occurs. Retrying starts at 50% and fails the same way each time.
This first one is a segment from the Indesign updater - I have always had the all hard drive folders with read and write privileges allowed and I checked again, this is still the case so I do not know why this particular error message is arising. The second snippet if from the Illustrator update.

if I subscribe to the Photo plan, will Lightroom and Photoshop CC output work with Indesign/Illustrator/etc from older versions of CS installed on my Mac?

I currently have premiere cs4 and cs5 installed and have had no problems. I have noted on the forums here that some people were reporting problems. So the only way to realy know is make the plunge. I'm running win 7 pro.

I can't guarantee it, but I think it's very likely you'll have no problems. Mavericks is now up to 10.9.3, and it's extremely stable.

Unable to open downloaded applications - Indesign & Illustrator

Hi - I purchased a one year subscription for Indesign and Illustrator yesterday. However, the entire suite downloaded after quite a few hours. I am unable to open InDesign & Illustrator. I keep getting an Adobe comment box saying something like - to renew your subscription with a link or the message try again in 15 minutes. I had downloaded the updated Download Assistant. This is very frustrating as I need to work on some files I had created previously when I took out a subscription a few months ago which expired due to an accounting issue.

Comparing Indesign/Illustrator/Photoshop to other programmes

Hi all,
My place of work has asked me to look into the possibility of moving away from Adobe to other lower cost or free design options.
We are still languishing behind on Creative Suite 5.5 so can either go to CC (yes please), or go the other way using alternatives that are cheaper or free.
I've have been asked to look at Functionality (obvious feature comparison), Compatibility (I believe this means opening old files, working with external organisations such as printers etc), Inter-operability I imagine they mean between indesign, illustrator, photoshop and then the other packages).
So, my question is, are there any resources online you chaps can recommend that compares features and/or has covered similar topics?

How do I remove fonts installed by Creative Cloud / InDesign / Illustrator

I've just signed up and installed InDesign, Illustrator etc.
The process has installed lots of fonts such as Hobo and Chapparal which I will never want or need.
I'm a writer and editor; I have selected and bought fonts for my publications and documents. Some are my own choices, some are mandated by clients and business partners.
All these are installed as sets in Font Agent Pro. I do not want my Mac - and particularly not my font menus - invaded by other unwanted typefaces. It just makes work slow and messy. There's always the risk that one of the newcomers may clash / be confused with an existing font and cause widows, over-runs, wrong H&J etc etc.
Please tell me there's a solution. I've tried to remove them both using Font Book and manually from the font folder. Neither works. So I am assuming that they are installed by some kind of setup script. Any suggestions?

I'm very surprised that these fonts would be installed in Font Agent Pro. The installer is supposed to put them in your system fonts folder. They may actually have been there from a previous version.
In any case, you uninstall them by deleting the files from the font folders, and I would presume, not being a FAP user, by deleting the font sets.

CS3 & Leopard - can't copy/paste from InDesign Illustrator?

I have just loaded Leopard and then CS3 onto my new MacBook Pro and then upgraded my existing iMac with another Leopard and the same CS3. Neither machine will allow me to copy/paste images or text boxes from InDesign > Illustrator - It appears to try to (shows the working color wheel - then nothing happens) It will allow me to select/copy the text WITHIN a text frame but will paste text only - not attributes????? I can copy /paste Illustrator >InDesign. also have no problem between Photoshop and either of InDesign or Illustrator?????? Have spoken to Adobe - they have no solution at this point and are 'getting back to me'.... Not a problem on Tiger/CS2 on iMac before upgrade. Appreciate your help!

Possibly running out of ram since it needs to rasterize for photoshop. Save the ai file then let photoshop open it.

Indesign & Illustrator CS6 both freeze on startup.

My Indesign & Illustrator products seem to be crashing at startup. As well as Adobe Reader, sometimes. Photoshop and Bridge seem to work fine. I have tried to run the programs with nothing else to ensure they have plenty of memory, have cleared my preferences in Indesign, have trashed the files in the recovery cash, but I still can't seem to get either program to work. Indesign is still opening saying that it has to recover files, however now when I go look in the Cache in my Library there is not even a folder for Adobe.
I have my disk and can re-install if necessary, but would prefer to avoid as it seems some of the other programs are running.
Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to offer.

Did you migrate the Programs from an old mac to a new if yes remove every thing and reinstall
if not and if the problem recently started , as you said you have removed the old preferences
i also wanted to know when you launch it are new one getting created ?
try safe mode if you are not on a network , or create a new user account and try it in that let me know if it worked
