Indesign, keep lines together with a number

Hey,
Is there a way to make Indesign keep lines together that has a number? My problem is that now in my document there are a lot of lines like:
blaa blaa 57
thousand and blaa...
or:
blaa blaa 300
GWh and so on....
So I would like Indesign keep lines together after a number. Is it possible? How?

I think the problem is in the \S that Eugene used and I copied. It's the negation of the \s (any whitespace character) so the expression is looking for a number NOT followed by whitespace.
Change that to the lowercase version, \s and it will probably do what you want, but might want to actually type a space with the spacebar after the digit wildcard instead if you want to limit the search to just an ordinary word space. \s finds ordinary spaces, fixed width spaces, tabs, and even forced line breaks and paragraph breaks. This might not be a problem for you, but you should keep it in mind.

How to keep last line together with table?

Hi guys,
I am new to Reports , so please excuse me for probably primitive question.
I am creating consolidated invoices report consisting of invoice date + 2 last lines of company signature like Yours, XXYYY Ltd.
Depending on number of lines in invoice data it is possible that only these 2 signature lines are printed on last page.
How to force keeping them together with invoice data?

Hi,
If you have repeating Invoice lines, and they are filling up your page, then there is no other option but to orphan the "Yours, XXYYY Ltd" onto another page.
Somethings you can do increase the amount of space on your page is decrease the size of your top and bottom margins, and also make sure you have no excess whitespace either in your template or within your placeholders.
Unfortunately, anything that is displayed after a table of repeating lines, where there is no limit to the number of lines, is susceptable to being orphaned, as there is no guarantee that it will fit onto the page.

Keeping lines together doesn't work properly

If I use the keeping lines together option, Indesign frequently breaks paragraphs at unnecessary spots. E.g. I checked that it should keep two lines together at the end of every paragraph, but sometimes it starts the last two lines of a paragraph in a new page even when those two lines would fit at the previous page without any problem, sometimes it even breaks a paragraph at the middle of the page and leaves a half page empty. I really can't figure out what can be the problem, does anybody have an idea?

Have you checked for objects that are text-wrapping, perhaps unnecessarily?
Have you looked closely at the text to see if it has doubled returns between paragraphs?
Have you checked to see if other subheading styles near the text are set to a Keep With x number of lines afterwards?

REM Reporting Point line item with operation number 9999

Dear guru,
I run MFBF with a REM Profile that post Automatic GR and Activities.
I have four operation in the material routing (10,20,30,40)
For the first three operations I want to confirm them with target activities
I define Third Operation with operation number 30 as "Reporting Point Operation" and
set the necessary settings for Reporting Point at Rem Profile.
After the confirmation I check MF12 (display document log information).
I see two reporting point line item : one for operation number 30 and one for operation number 9999
The system update in table AFRU only operation 30.
So I donu2019t know the activities confirmed with operation 10 and 20.
Do you help me ?

Hi dude:
Once I had this problem, and was due to a wrong definition of the parameters used in the formula for calculating the activities in to the operations.
You can chek it in the next path:
IMG route
Production > Basic Data > Work Center > Costing > Work Center Formulas > Define formula parameters for work centers & Define formulas for work centers
Make sure that these parameters are correctly linked to the formulas.

Can't restore my iPhone 4. Keeps coming up with error number 1? can someone help me?

So ive had iPhones for like 3 years, and this is the only trouble ive had, i just updated it to the new system and my phone will not restore. I updated my dad's phone last night before doing mine and i have tryed to restore it on three different computers and it keeps coming up with error 1. and i have no idea how to fix it. I have rang Apple and they didnt really help much so im hoping that someone here can? I kind of need my phone to be working tomoorw as i have school and dont live near school. thanks

Hi.
Can someone please help me with the code to keep all lines in a single paragraph together. This is for an aution catalogue that cannot break a lot between columns or pages. Manually setting the option in Keep options works, but I cannot find how to script it.
I have searched in the forum but not found an answer.

Got It.
I needed to first set:
myPara.keepLinesTogether=true;
then....
myPara.keepAllLinesTogether = true;
I see both are needed to work correctly.

How to create line hart with variable number of data series

Hello,
I am student and I am completely new to Flex programming but
I need to urgently create an app that should have a variable number
of data series but of ame type of object.
eg. Profits for X,Y and Z in in run while just corp X in the
next instance.

How to Keep Lines / Tables rows together

Hi All
I would like to know if Words functionality to
Keep lines together (Format - Paragraph - Line Page Breaks Tab - Keep Lines together tick box) is supported by XMLP.
Our particular requirement is to keep our table of 3 rows per record (wrapped in a for each) together over a page break, although I can see this option being useful for letters etc in the future.
We are using XMLP 5.6.2

Unfortunately the first row in our table has 8 columns, the following 2 rows have just one column, this stops us from merging all three rows together.
Excuse my lack of knowledge but how do we mail files to you without disclosing our email address to whole world??

Using Line Stretch With Frame Property

Hi Folks,
I'm using Report Builder (Developer 2000 ver 6.0) and in one particular report, I would like to have vertical lines between displayed columns from the table.
When I use the Layout Model and draw lines between the columns and use the Line Stretch With Frame Property of that particular line and choose the relevent frame, the line stretches with the number of records ( as I have reduced the number of records to 8 per page) only on pages from 2 onwards. On the first page the line does not stretches. Why is that?
Similarly I would like to draw a line at the end of each record on each page, but when I draw the line in the Layout Model, it is always displayed in the middle of records instead of the last record.

It's a hardware fault. I suggest you make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store to have it tested. It's a free service. The repair won't be free, but if it's something simple, such as a bad memory module, you may be able to fix it yourself.

How number words to keep them together on the same line!

How can I keep words together? As Example:
I have words "EN-ISO 2020" now is my text not together.
EN-ISO on the end iff the line and 2020 on a new line.
It should be alway's together on the next line.
Please help this problem!

Put a "nonbreaking space" between EN-ISO and 2020. The shortcut is
Ctrl+space or Esc space h ("h" is for hard space). You may also need a
"nonbreaking hyphen" between EN and ISO. The shortcut for that is Esc
hyphen h.

Keeping a picture together with a certain paragraph of text

I think this is probably a very rookie question but I am having a problem keeping my pictures where I want them. I need them to stay together with a certain paragraphs of text.
A- "Lock position" doesn't work. I don't care where in the doc. they are as long as they stay with the right text.
B- Anchored objects don't seem to be the answer, I want to do text wraps around the picture.
All suggestions are appreciated.

No, that's not a problem, as long as the anchor is in the right place. Use a "custom" andchored object, rather than inline, and make sure the anchor is in a line ahead of the ones you want to wrap. A custom anchored object can be moved anywhere on the page and will continue to move with the anchor point.
The illustration below shows two anchored objects with text wrap applied. The anchors are the first characters in the Notes: paragraph, and the postions are set as part of an object style that includes the text wrap, font (for the caption) and position information. The anchored object options dialog dispalyed is for the caption.
In this case I didn't need to worry about wrapping the top, but pushing the image down on the page gives you this:

You need to help us first ...
Computer specs:
OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, vRAM ... and also disc layout & connections can be useful (as in, "2 internal hard-drives and an external on Thunderbolt connection for exports")
Program specs:
Specific build of Premier Pro from the bottom of the "About" splash screen off the "Help" menu is best.
Footage file type: MXF, AVCHD, MOV, m2s, what?
Even the camera it was shot on can be of interest at times.
And did you use media browser to import, then project panel to drag & drop?

Thank you for trying to help. I followed your instructions, it took 6 hours to download, and then said it could not solve the problem (something to do with error 9?). It will have to go back to Apple - its only 3 days since it came out of the package and its very disappointing for him. Looks like I have to hang around in the Apple store in Plymouth all tomorrow until they can fix it, or will change it. Thanks for your help.

Is there a maximum number of "multi state objects" per article? Indesign keeps crashing

Hi, i have 12 multi state objects on a page, and indesign keeps crashing.
i know this seems like a high number, but I have done this to create a work around - ticker (like an old style airport board e.g. https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=airport+board&espv=2&biw=1306&bih=653&source=lnms&tbm=is ch&sa=X&ei=TkYUVb3ZJIb0PJ7DgZg… each set of 3 creating one graphic e.g. 3.35
After creating these Indesign keeps crashing when i try to preview?

It sounds like you're running in to a memory problem: Memory Handling in DPS
That said, usually multiple MSOs on the page don't usually cause memory problems because only the first state of the MSO is loaded into memory. If the first state of each MSO is loading a web overlay displaying ticker information, then that's the most likely culprit. Consider redesigning the page so that only a few tickers are loaded into memory and the user needs to tap to reveal additional tickers.

Am starting to love my 5 year old original IPad as slow as it is, even more....
