InDesign outputs K100 text as RGB

I am trying to convert an InDesign document to a pdf for use on a commercial printing press, but every time I export it changes all my K100 text to what Acrobat is reading as RGB. I've done this many times before and never had a problem, and I've checked all my colour setting and export options, but I just can't seem to figure out what is causing this. I've even tried taking the document to another computer and exporting from there. I got the same results though, so I think it must be a problem with the document, but the text is definitely set to K100. All objects which are supposed to be K100 are exporting just fine. It is only the text that is creating this problem. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried No Colour Conversion, Convert to Destination, and Convert to Destination (Preserve Numbers). And the destination profile is the same as the document profile (U.S. Web Coated (SWOP) v2). I am using Adobe Acrobat 8 Pro.
I also forgot to mention that I tried converting the text to outlines, and that fixed the colour problem, but it got rid of all my underlines. But even if I could figure out how to convert to outlines without loosing information it doesn't seem like I should have to do that, especially since I've done this many times before with no problem. The document is the newest edition of a newsletter that we've printed many times, and it uses all the same setup as the old ones.

Changing the seeded rdf report output from text to PDF

Hi All,
I am trying to change the seeded report "Print Requisition Report" output from text to PDF. I changed the output format in the concurrent program definition from text to pdf. The report is now getting displayed in pdf format, but the alignment of the fields are changed. The output is not printing as it was printing while in the text output format. The output looks very sloppy, with uneven fonts and too much of text wrapping.
I tried some formatting and fields are somehow getting displayed but doesnt look in proper format. I am not able to change the font style in the report builder 6i, even if i change it is printing in the same font style with uneven font size. I think reducing the font size might help, but i am unable to change.We are on 11.5.10.2. Please provide your valuable suggestions on how to go about.

Thanks for the information. After the adjustments in the layout and the font change the report is now getting displayed without any clipping when clicked on view output. But when the same report is printed some characters on the left and and right side is getting clipped. Please help on how to solve this issue.

I.e. if user login to ITALY/GERMANY then report output header text should be displayed on same Longuage for this can any body give me some idea

How to change the output as text format in Apps R12.1.3

Hi All,
Currently iam trying to modify the Java Concurrent Program (FDExtractAndFormatting) in Batch Payment Process. This Program is generated in text format in 11i APPS. Now we are upgrading to R12.1.3. In R12.1.3 output is coming as PDF format. Here my requirement is how to change the output as text format in R12.1.3 also.

1. It is seeded java concurrent program. Some attributes are missing from 11i to R12. In 11i it is a text format.So i have to investgate on how to retrive those attributes in R12. What is the concurrent program name?
Have you tried to change the output and submit the request?
2. Once all are attributes are coming in PDF format. Client wants to open same output in text format as it is 11i (In R12 it is generated in PDF format).If the above does not help, please log a SR.

Problem writing file ANSI to UTF-8. OPEN DATASET FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE

Hello everybody,
My report needs to create a file in ANSI so I am using this sentence: * "OPEN DATASET p_dir_a FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT."* almost all charters in the file are well generating excepting for this two: ( Á ) & ( Í ) because SAP assigns the same code to both characters ( Ã? ) = 'xC3' which is not correct, the right code should be ( Á ) = 'xC1' ( Í ) = 'xCD' respectively
from this string = ( ÁÉÍÓÚáéíóúàèìòùÀÈÌÒÙ ) only those two characters are wrong converted.
Also I tray to catch a conversion error with this sentence:
 TRY.
 TRANSFER <field> TO p_dir_a NO END OF LINE.
 CATCH cx_sy_conversion_codepage.
 MESSAGE 'error' type 'I'.
 ENDTRY.
but never enters in it.
Does anyone know where I can configure SAP to SET this value correctly?

ok so basically you have a swing application (windows based application).
Now in this application you have some JTextFields which you are puting some text in (am I right so far?)
If I am right, then what you have to do is persist (save) the text in those JTextFields (you can decide what to save this text into, this can be a database, xml file, properties file, ... I think it is a database however).
Now, then you have to develop a web application (I sugest you take a look at JSP, Struts, Spring etc). Your web application will then connect to the same data, and display those values in FireFox, Internet Explorer or any other browser.
Now this is nothing that can be made in a day or two (unless you are a very experianced programmer). I know I can't

How to Output Rich Text Format.

Hi everyone, i use a rich text editor called tiny mce in my web application. After i click the submit button the value inside the text area would be saved in my database including the HTML tags e.g. Sample Report edited via Tiny MCE Rich Text Editor. I need to output the text in a webuijsf static text component but the moment i see the output the tags are still there and the text is not in italics format. Does anyone know how to output it in static text with the design in it?

Exporting Table from Indesign to tagged text.

Hi, all! I need to export table from InDesign to tagged text by the script. I found ExportAllStories.jsx in samples. It's good example but I have some questions 1. In my document more then one table and I need to export only some of them. So, how can I export only one of them? May be Tables have some "labels" or something other differential sign? 2. How can I ser encoding type of distanation file (by the default InDesing set <ASCII-WIN>, but I'm need to set <Unicode>).

This assumes everyone involved has access to the files.

I’m combining several InDesign files into one PDF, with several hundred text links across the different sections, as well as within each. The cross-document (section) Text Anchor Hyperlinks work fine in my workspace - but when I change the file location, they are no longer active (other links, bookmarks remain intact).
How do I set up InDesign cross-document Text Anchor Hyperlinks so that when the files are moved, they remain active?

They seem to be a lot of extra work, and I don't see what the additional benefit is. I have several hundred links to do. I would appreciate learning what the benefit is, as I don't mind the extra effort if it will deliver the desired results.

I also have the similar issue. I am able to write the data into appliaction server in Chinese Characters using :OPEN DATASET datei FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT or OPEN DATASET datei FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING UTF-8. But when i save that file into my presentation server manually, all the chinese characters are showing as Junk.
When i use OPEN DATASET datei FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING NON-UNICODE, giving runtime error and when i use OPEN DATASET datei FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING NON-UNICODE IGNORING CONVERSION ERRORS, No error but application server output itself showing as Junk characters.
Could you please suggest me what you have done?

Changing standard output from Text to XML customization?

Hi Team,
We wanted to get an excel output for a standard reports Accounts Payables Trial Balance, we changed the output from Text to XML. We did not attach a data definition or template definition ..we just wanted to see the XML output.. We got an error in the process ."Caused by: oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XMLParseException: '=' missing in attribute" .. for which we raised a TAR..
We were told in the TAR that changing the standard output from Text to XML is customization!!!!... can you please clarify if this is the case..
