Indesign prevents the possibility to change the language

Hi,
I am using Indesign CS6 and wile opening the application i can switch from English to Hebrew without a problem, but for a reason i cannot understand (i didnt finda common denominator) at some point in time the option to switch to Hebrew is disabled (only in indesign).
I am using an early 2008 mac pro with 20 Gigs of RAM & OSX 10.7.5.
attached is a screen shot that shows the problem:
by the way, closing and reopening re enables language switching but is far from convenient wile having to work on 6-7 indd files on the same time.

OK, i think i wasnt precise in my descriptions:
1) The problem happend's only after i am working for a wile and in all the other applications i can still switch to Hebrew just not in indesign.
(i don't think its an OS bug)
2) i installed a fresh copy of indesign cs6 on a different machine (macbook pro) that has a fresh copy of the OSX and the same problem acurs.
i will try to be even more exact wile in indesign i am unable to switch to Hebrew in Photoshop, chrome, safari ... i can still switch to Hebrew & this happend's after some time working with indesign, restarting indesign solves the problem just for a wile but then all of a sudden (after an un known amount of time) the symptom happend's again.

We copied several clients. After time we recognized that English would be better choice as supplementation language for our users. Is it possible to change it ?

Hi Jiri,
Go to SMLT -> click on the information button beside the Language you need ro supplement (in this case Czech) and click on the change button, then just select english as supplement language and save.

Is it possible to change UI language in CS2?

Hello,
I bought and installed Adobe CS2 Standard Edition (bought in English) many years ago, and I was able to select the language I wanted for the UI during the CD installation. Now that I want to switch the activation to another computer, I discovered the activation server error. The error page* mentions that the product should be selected and installed in the language that it was orinally bought in (in my case, English). Can I still change the UI language after I have installed it or am I stuck with English? Feedback would be much appreciated.

No, only the language the product was installed in will be available. If you need a different language, you will have to choose it during install/ run a reinstall in the different language, but that may not at all be possible, because the serial number also determines the language...

How can I quickly change Siris language?

I would like to use Siri both in German (mostly if i want to write to or call somebody in germany - she doesn't understand german names) and English.
Obviously, the language can be changed in settings, but that's a rather long and awkward process if I only want to quickly have her call somebody. Is it possible to change her language using a specific command (like "change language to German")? I wasn't able to find anything of the like, and I think there is no setting to always use her bilingually (or is there?).
I'd be thankful for any help on this matter :)

Siri should understand either language out of the box. This doesn't specifically state that you have to change the country or region in it, but I made some type bold at the bottom, that may infer that you have to that.
EDIT - I just asked Siri if she spoke Spanish - as a test. She told me that she speaks ...... And then she told me to change the languages in the settings. So - I do not see any shortcut to quickly switch between languages.

How can I change the language in the dictionary preferences of Indesign by AppleScripting

I am new to applescripting and it's usage in Adobe Indesign.
I am trying to working on a requirement, where I need to make the language of Indesign document to "English: USA" in the dictionary preferences.
I tried to change the language in the preferences but somewhere this code is going wrong.
Any help and suggestions would be very helpful.

Yes indeed it works..
However, can we change the "Adobe Custom Dictionary" through apple script so that language of dictionary preferences gets changed. (if that happens).
I noticed that when we go to path:
Indesign---->Preferences---> Dictionary
The default dictionary has a path in our system library.. (I am still a learner so it's a new thing for me.. )..
The path changes from UK to US dictionary as:
'~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Linguistics/Dictionaries/Adobe Custom Dictionary/brt--------------> For UK DICTIONARY
'~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Linguistics/Dictionaries/Adobe Custom Dictionary/eng--------------> For US DICTIONARY

We have Apple Remote desktop and network home folders with managed prefs but i don't seem to be able to use either of these to change the default language of all of our macs to "British English".
is there a UNIX command that can do this?

The simple way is via the Internationalization settings via ARD or RDP or Screen Sharing, either via System Preferences or (if enabled) via the menu bar. If you're looking for a lower-level approach, there's not AFAIK a direct command for this. But then agin you have the source code (.java files) open all java files in the oracle.forms froject and alter to your language then recompile and reacreate the jar (easily done with Jdeveloper)

Hi I'd like to buy a creative suit cs4.. an American one and I'd like to know if it's possible to change the language into German?

I'm working for an German office and my collegaues would like to use the creative suite cs4 for their projects. The original German version is quiet expensive -- that is why I'd like to buy an American one... unfortunately my collegaues are not in English so.. is it possible to change the langauge in the standard design cs4 version?

Adobe no longer sells CS4. They only sell new versions of their products. Beyond that, you cannot purchase an American copy if your company is based in Germany.

I purchased Adobe's Design Standard product and installed. I have recently changed the language of InDesign, which causes 'Adobe Application Manager' to pop up whenever I launch InDesign - claiming my software is on a trial. By reverting the language to the default (Danish in this case) the 'Adobe Application Manager' does not pop up on InDesign startup. I've previously worked in an English workspace and would prefer to continue doing so. I cannot believe changing language should be impossible for a paying user. Am I missing something?

As a Creative Cloud subscriber you can install (also additionally) any language without additional cost.
With the Creative Sutie versions the serial number limits to only one or some languages where this serial is compatibel. It was written on the package for which language it is compatible, in most cases it was restricted to only one language.
You could ask Adobe for a single platform and/or language changer per version. But this was limited to region. E.g. it was possible to change between EU languages EN, DE, FR, ES, … but it is not possible to change between US-EN to UK-EN or DE because the prices are very different in those regions. In Europe the software costs several times more then in the American continent,, like U.S.A. or Canada or States for Mexico.
But when a new version was released, it was not possible to make a language change as you could do a normal upgrade.
