InDesign text out of sight in page!

Dear All,
I have one problem in text out of sight in page! using InDesign CS5.5 windows.@@
In my InDesign document have 7 pages, and 3 column text flow, When I removed the 3rd column one anchored text frame it will "text out of sight" into the 2nd column text. But I can find the text and view in the story editor, but page layout its hide, and there is no reflow content and overset text warning, everything shown perfectly.
If I removed the main threated text frame and re-created the new text frame into the respective page the text its not hide its shown perfect. I found this solution, but I want to know the actual root cause.
Can you anyone help or suggest what is the reason?

Please find the attached screen shots.
Before delete the query frames: This is the original document its shown everything fine, I just delete the author query in the 3rd column.
After deleted the query frames: Please see the below snap shot.

I would also recommend to write the description into the meta data. This would allow to place a text frame above the image and it is possible to add meta information and file name automatically together with the image, when you place it or even in a prepared template.
Meta data information can be written easily in Bridge in the Meta File Workspace.

I have written a servlet that executes a batch file whose output is saved to a txt file. I am attempting to display content of the text file as a html page from the servlet but am struggling I have attempted to read the file and output it as shown below but it is not displaying the correct data

Couple of things. First you should search the forums for how to properly exec a dos batch file. There are some problems you may run into especially with io. I suspect you may not actually be running that batch file at all.
I would test outputing a text file separately from execing the batch file.
Here is some code so you don't have to output 1 char at a time. Setting the content length and closing the output stream might help.

How do I get text to flow from one page to the next in Pages 5 with the Maverick system?

What may be overlooked in Pages v5 is the notion of combining Text Boxes via the Menu > View > Show Arrange Tools. When you select two Text Boxes, an extra panel unfolds at the bottom of the Arrange Tools window. Uncheck one Text Box and this panel abruptly disappears.
One can achieve text flow effects between Text Boxes differently based on how one positions the Text Box overlap, and choice of effect above. Though not the accustomed flow found in Pages ’09 v4.3, flow does occur. Consider the possibilities of combining a Shape and a Text box to cut an irregular Text box.
If I create two Text Boxes and position them side by side with outline touching and choose Unite, this creates one larger Text Box and text flows across and down. On the otherhand, if I overlap the upper left corner of a lower Text Box over one above and to the left, then choose Union, pasted text fills the first Text Box and then flows across and down into the other box. Here is a Union example:
Intersect will leave a small Text Box where the two overlap, so not much value there. Subtract will cut a chunk out of one Text Box that is the size of the overlapping piece of the second Text Box:
And Intersect will leave an island in the center where the two Text Box overlap, with flow jumping over this bridge.
Clearly, this is not what we were accustomed to in the past, but with imagination, style, and layout tuning, it does offer alternative Text Box creativity and layout. Of course, there is the option of simply returning to the previous Pages version for true Text Box linking that most will want to use.

JSF - Read a text file and diplay lines of text data on the web page

For one of my projects, I need to display lines of text data on the web page using Java Server Faces Technology. The raw data could be from simple text files or sockets or anything. (Getting the data is not my issue but displaying is). Could anybody send answers with sample code. In servlet, one could do this by -

1. It already reads in the file. The (@' .. '@) bits are just there to create a file using your test data to demonstrate that it works.
2. Not user what kind of "details" you want. There really isn't much there, and get-help on the cmdlets used should provide information on what's going on with them in that script.

Tab key no longer moves between text fields on a web page

Since upgrading to Mac OS X 10.4.9, my Safari v. 2.0.4 (419.3) is suffering from a bizarre symptom: the tab key no longer moves the insertion point among the various single-line text-entry fields on a page, but rather inserts a tab character within the field! Shift-tab, which used to move the insertion point back one field, does nothing.
Interestingly, when in a block-text field -- such as the one I'm using to compose this message topic -- the tab key takes me to the next field as expected. It also works when the insertion point is in the URL field or Google search field in the browser interface itself. It's only when I'm typing into a web page itself that it doesn't behave properly.
Makes filling out long forms a real pain.
Surely this isn't happening to everyone, or someone else would have mentioned it ... but can anyone reproduce it? Got any suggestions for clearing it up? I'm not running any exotic Safari add-ons, just the usual complement of plug-ins, none of which seem relevant to this problem, which involves normal HTML web pages.

There were no file changes to Safari in the 10.4.9 update. There were a number of file changes to the System Library, however, these types of changes usually affect applications across-the-board. MacFixit has a special report and related issues and work-arounds on their site. Not sure if you need to be a subscribed member to see the information, however, it might be worth a look.
FWIW, I haven't seen any mention about the problem you reported on their forum, or home page report.
I suggested your marking the thread "answered" as I thought you were complete with the thread given the disappearance of the problem. I'll be curious to see who else posts a similar problem.

How to place a word document that autoflows text boxes onto every other page?

Is there a way to place a word document into InDesign that autoflows text boxes onto every other page?
Example
page 1 from word doc imports to page 1 in indesign,
page 2 from word doc imports to page 3 in indesign,
page 3 from word doc imports to page 5 in indesign, etc.
Than, take a different word doc and import to the even pages of the same indesign document,
Example
page 1 from word doc#2 imports to page 2 in indesign,
page 2 from word doc#2 imports to page 4 in indesign,
page 3 from word doc#2 imports to page 6 in indesign, etc.

I don't import Word docs... but I don't think there is a simple 1-click solution.
You probably need to set up a facing pages document with a master text frame on each.
Create the pages you need and link the left text frames to each other and the right to each other.
Importing should work from there however not sure how the page-break works (if you have that set-up in Word).

InDesign CS5.5 Exporting PDF master page hyperlinks only work on first 2 pages

We recently upgraded from CS5 to CS5.5 and now our hyperlinks that go to different pages in the PDF only are working on the first 2 pages of each document in the book. We have about 30 documents wrapped up in a indesign book. On the master page we have hyperlinks that allow users to quickly go to the index in the back of the book. After the CS5.5 upgrade the hyperlinks only work the the first 2 pages of each document. We export to PDF(print) with hyperlinks enabled.
I have tried the below:
- I have tried 2 different computers
- Deleted and re-created the indesign preference file
- deleted and re-created the hyperlinks

Can you recommendd the best way to manage the following:
I'm on a Mac. Created an enewsletter for a client in Indesign CS5 with 7 "click here"s throughout the document. The hyperlinks are to connect w other PDF documents not URLs.
Where will I have the best luck creating the hyperlinks - Indesign or in the PDF I export? I have Acrobat Pro if I need to create the hyperlinks in the PDF.
Except I can't figure out how to create the links in either program as far as what name to designate and where do the PDFs reside so people can link to them? And do I enter the file name of the PDF connected to the particular "click here."

I want to insert a picture into a body of text in a blog entry page.

This has me stumped. I did it once but cannot do it again.
How can I place a picture into a body of text? I have a print-out from the HELP menu but it is not clear. It talks of inline and fixed objects. I think I want a fixed object -- one that does not move along with the text as the text grows/moves along the page incrementally.
Because I am working with the photo on a blog entry page I cannot do the Choose Insert > Choose > Select the file, and click insert. I cannot because (1) The picture has to stay on the page in that Magic Frame, and (2) the choosing capability of the iWeb program does not enable someone to go inside the iWeb program and land on a certain page.
I am working on the blog page. Instead of a tiny little picture of a doll at the top of the page, I want to raise all of the text and put the little doll's head inside the text body.
I am so stumped. The instructions are not clear at all.

and view the blog "power button shortcut"
Go to the section you want to add the photo
to...Click "insert" then "choose" and choose the file
you want to put in there.

You know, I went to that Power Button Shortcut blog and for the life of me, your point went flying over my brains -- I just did not get what point you were making to me. The Power Button thing was not what I was trying to do. I was trying to put a PICTURE of a doll's head inside a body of text. That means I had to get text wrap to kick in, and..........
But the bottomest line is, I finally did it. I don't know how I did it because I was in a state of just clicking around, trying to move text. It's a long story to duplicate, but I went through several steps and since it was just desperation moves I was doing, I don't have a set of notes to go by for the next time.
The hard part, or one of them, was to get the Text Inspector to make he Text Wrap workable. For a long time , no matter what I did, the Text Wrap option remained greyed out. It was maddening. Then for reasons that I cannot recreate in an orderly fashion, I got the Text Wrap option to get bolded out, and thus an option.
Thank you for trying. BTW, I think your pages look wonderful and very slick (which I think is the right look for what you want to do with your website).

Text out of TV screen

I just burned my first project in DSP4. It worked just great, BUT: The text i have in the header of the meny, that was looking great in the simulater, was "moved" out of sight on the TV screen. The project was in 4:3 PAL. I used one of the templates following the software. Please!!!???

look for an option under view "Title safe area" - Viewing video content varies from TV to TV. Keep your text within the shadded area and you should be fine.

Some sort of text problem, possibly a font....
Is the text on that page threaded to other pages? If it is you can export the story to ID tagged text, place it in a new file and see if it still crashes.

My CSS box doesn't seem to be pushing the text out of the way

I've just managed to get CSS boxes working on my site, and as
you'll see have applied them to the right hand side of a number of
pages and added links. I looked at the site locally and online last
night from my machine and everything seemed to be working as
expected.
However, I've just got to work and had a look at some of the
pages and the text box A - doesn't seem to have extended enough to
surround all of the linked text and B - doesn't seem to have pushed
the surrounding text out of the way enough so now there's a
horrible overlapping this going on.
As I have set the box's height properties to something like
150 (can't quite remem) I'm assuming this is what is causing A and
B? So, how do I then set the box's properties so that it will
shorten or lenghten depending on how much text I put inside it -
just leave the height property field blank?

Yes. The answer is to never set the height of a box which
contains text
(unless its for a scrolling area). Let the amount of text
within the box
determine the height.

Scroll bar keeps moving out of sight

I open fire fox and then when I open one of my accounts the scroll bars moves out of sight on the screen and I can't scroll down The Even when I use the zoom bar. The fire fox screen is large than my monitor and I have a large monitor. When I try to go into Face Book there is no way to scroll down the page to see when is farther down the page.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and that the scroll bars fall off.
* Use Restore or Maximize in the right-click context menu of the Taskbar icon to set focus to the Firefox application if you do not see the Firefox window.
* Open the system menu of that Firefox window via Alt+Space and see if you can move and resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.

How can I wrap text in a pie in pages?

If you need to insert text into a shape like a pie wedge, the easiest way might be to simply use the shape - freeform tool (at the bottom of the shape menu) and create a shape and type your text in it then place the shape over your pie wedge. The text within the shape should wrap - additional controls for text can be used with the Text Inspector.
You can edit the actual shape with Format Object > Make Shape Editable option but unfortunately, you have an option to make straight or smooth curves, but not both, so you'll need to shape the object using smooth curves and use the the bezier controls that appear as you select a control point.
