  • Indesign subscription - download error unable to contact Adobe

    Hello everyone, someone, anyone,
I hope you can help me. I just purchased a month-to-month subscription to Indesign.  I am running Windows 7, IE 9.   I've already spent a couple of hours and I am so frustrated and regretting the purchase now. I've tried to look for the answer myself, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the download manager on the desktop and even used the troubleshooter. It keeps saying something to the effect  DOWNLOAD ERROR Unable to contact Adobe connect to the internet and try again.  I am obviously on the internet so I don't understand. Could you kindly direct me to a solution? I have a deadline on something so simple that I'm now kicking myself for even thinking this would be a snap. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Gwen

You can do a trial download from Adobe.com or a direct download of the Adobe Forums as suggested in
    forums.adobe.com/message/4577185
and then license it with your Adobe ID with which you have bought the subscription.

  • InDesign Trial download does not recognise me as an Administrator

I am logged in as an Administrator and am trying to download the InDesign trial.  Having got to the end of the download, it announces that I need to be logged on as an Administrator, which I am, but only offers 'Quit' as an option.  I can't see how to resolve this and would appreciate any advice.

It shouldn't matter, but try logging in with the actual Administrator account for the machine.

  • Indesign Trial Download says Not Authentic

Hello.  I have tried downloading the InDesign Trial App and upon downloading, an Adobe message says it is not authentic and the download process ends.  I have tried several times and the last time my anti-virus blocked something.  What's up with this?

I take that back.....I was downloading the paid version and all was working....now I just got via the Adobe Application Manager
"Adobe Genuine Software Validation Failure.  The product you are trying to install is not an Adobe Genuine Software and appears to be counterfeit"
    Awesome......
    I downloaded it from here:

  • InDesign CS4 Trial Download Error

So I spend 10 hours downloading the trial version to Adobe Indesign CS4. It downloads fine and I'm set to install. As I install, it goes about halfway, to the Adobe NA Color Settings, when a popup comes and says that Adobe Setup has encountered a problem and needs to stop.
    Any clues on WTH happened?
I'm running Windows Vista, Home Edition, Verion 6.0 with SP1.
I've tried installing it with firewalls down, in simplified mode, with interenet connected and not connected.
Frankly, I am at a lost to what is up.
I really need Indesign for school and was planning to buy it after I installed the trial version. But the trial won't even install properly.
    Any help would be nice

only thing suspicious i find is this:

  • InDesign trial crash/Error saving as PDF

I recently downloaded the InDesign CS6 trial to piece together a magazine I am creaing for my senior project. Its 20 pages, and it does use quite a few images. I first got the export error then tried replacing images with smaller versions. Didn't work. I then tried the "divide and conquer" method. I was able to export just the cover as a blurry, low quality PDF. When I tried exporting the cover and just my first spread (pages 2 and 3), I got the error again. When I tried to export the magazine as a whole, it stopped exporting at pages 4 and 5 (spread 2). I tried all sorts of quality differences, and closing programs. When I removed all images from spread 2 and 3, I still got the error.
I tried closing InDesign and then browsed the site for solutions. When I tried opening InDesign again I get the pop up box for Error: 16 telling me to uninstall and reinstall the product.
This is due very soon and my graduation sorta relies on this. I've been tampering with this for ages and I have no time to reamake it. Please help.

It sounds like you "sort of" did a divide and conquer. Don't presume that the problem is on a particular page because the export stops there. Will pages 2 & 3 export alone? 4 & 5?   If it continues to fail with the images removed, it's likely that the problem is actually in the text. Try moving the text frames to the pasteboard (don't delete them) and see if it makes a difference.

  • InDesign Trial Download Crashing Computer?

Ever since I downloaded the trial version, my computer started freezing and making a loud beep--like an alarm. Other times I get an error message "PageMaker needs to close because it encountered an error"....I also get that same error msg for Internet Explorer, Photoshop, even Outlook.
I uninstalled InDesign but am still having these issues. Do you think this is related or a completely separate problem? Thank you!

If it's happening after a system restore, that pretty much eliminates the trial as the cause. If the machine is actually running, and not blue screening, I'd be more inclined to look at memory than the processor (though it could be a chip cooler problem), but I won't second guess your IT people.

  • Adobe acrobat pro DC trial download error (Mac)

When I try to download the trial version of Adobe acrobat DC pro on my mac, it gives an error "Acrobat installer encountered an unexpected failure. Please try again. If it continues to fail contact Adobe support". I have tried doing in about 5 times, it failed every time. Any fixes? It would be greatly appreciated.

  • CS6 Design trial download, error 109

I've tried twice now to download the trial CS6 Design, but part way through it says error 109, what is going on?

Error 109 indicates there were problems with your network connection.  Please try initiating a direct download by following the steps listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369.  If you continue to experience difficulties then you may want to try an alternate Internet connection

  • PSE 13 trial download error...

I've been trying to download a trial of PSE 13, but when I try to run the Adobe Download Assistant I get an error informing me that the file is damaged. Can anyone help?
I'm running Mac OS X 10.9.4 on a MacBook Pro, by the way.
    Thank you!

    Hi Korky51,
Do you get the ADA to start at all? Or is that the part that says it's damaged?
Have you tried downloading from another browser to see if that helps?
    Regards
