InDesign Type on a Path tool not available in toolbar

My InDesign 6 does not have a Type on a Path tool. The type tool icon in the tool bar does not have a fly-out option where I should be able to find it. I'm pretty sure it was there at one time. Any suggestions on how to restore this?

Thanks for the help. Using the Cleaner Tool and then reinstalling worked.
I must say though. Although I wanted to just clean the Indesign app. I ended up having to clean the entire CS.
I tried using the Enterprise Clean Tool to just select Indesign, but had trouble following the directions on entering code into Terminal.
It would be more user friendly if when you open the Cleaner Tool app it would then ask you what App(s) you want to clean.

Using the Type on a path tool I keep trying to type along the stroke of the shape though it keeps placing text inside the shape? I am using cs5. What am doing wrong?

... I already had type inside. I also want to add type to the path.
Unless changed the the latest version(s), I am afraid the path can only be applied to one Type type at a time so that you will have to copy the path to appy another Type type (sorry, being the type that I am I had to type it in this way).

Allignment tool not available with the Student Version?

Is the Allignment tool not available with the Student Version? It appears to be clickable yet no action… Is there a preference I'm missing?

Educational is a full version.
You need to select (at least) two objects, then apply the deired Align operation(s).
If something is really wrong, you may have a look at the list below.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Track Mask Tool Not Available in AE CC 12.0.0.404?

I am trying to use the Track Mask tool in AE to do a simple track on a sign in my footage. But, after watching several tutorials, it seems that the track mask tool simply is not available in this version.
I have tried command clicking with mask path selected, looked under Animation for an option, and command clicked the mask layer itself on the footage, and have not seen the track mask option.
Like I said in the title, I am running 12.0.0.404. Does anyone know what version the Track Mask tool became available?
I need an Administrator to update, which I am willing to take care of if it means this tool will become available.

I can understand not going to 13.1 in case you don't like the new interface (which is improved somewhat in 13.2, by the way), but you should definitely be on the latest version of 12 for all the bug fixes and new features! (Although, in my experience the latest version of 13 runs really nicely.)

Red eye tool not available

I'm using iPhoto 4.0.3 on my G5. When I open iPhoto the enhance tool and retouch tool are available, but the red eye tool is grey and is not able to be activated by clicking on it. How can I make the red eye tool work?

Have you tried making a selection of the area that needs the red-eye correction? iPhoto is good, but it really has no way to tell where (or even, whether) eyes are depicted in an image, Slap a marquis around the carnation in a photo depicting nothing but a flower arrangement, and it will gladly remove the red.

Touchup Object tool not available to colleague with Acrobat 9

Is the TouchUp Object tool only available in Acrobat 9 Pro? A colleague who has Acrobat 9 Standard doesn't appear to have it in his Advanced Editing options. Is there something that can be done to make that option available? I looked at the comparison chart and it didn't indicate there was any difference.

Printer Setup Utility "Utility" tool not available

I have a Canon Pixma ip4200. I am trying to clean the print heads, which is done through the "Utility" option in the title bar of the Print Setup Utility. However, that option is dimmed (or greyed) and not accessible. I have re-installed the driver, and re-installed the printer, but it is still not available. Any help?

I have not been able to get to the good part of configuring the ZBF.
I've looked over several configuration examples and can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, since I'm not able to see the command 'parameter-map' under the 'policy-map urlfiltering'

I am having the same problem. I have seen a few diffenent configuration examples and they all show adding the "parameter type urlfpolicy trend parm-map-name" command but it doesn't exist, at least in 15.2(3)T1 and I see it listed in the the IOS documentation for 15.2. Maybe they forgot it :-)
I guess I will open a TAC case as I do not want to downgrade...
I will keep you posted if I find the answer.

Why are web developer tools not available on Firefox for Android?

I do some freelance web design. I just replaced my laptop with a tablet last year (Samsung Galaxy 10.5 S). I want to do web development on it - I work from a terminal doing Ruby on Rails and web development all the time. It would be awesome to have the F12 developer tools handy in Firefox for Android, but sadly I've waited for a while and there is no indication they will ever appear.
Do NOT suggest using a remote debugger - I'm not testing the layout of pages on my tablet, I want to be able to profile, view source (without an add-on) and such. I have seen this exact question marked closed by suggesting remote debugging, and I fail to see how telling me to use my tablet next to a laptop or desktop is a solution. Telling me to carry a second device means I don't need the tablet at all, when my intention is to ONLY use the tablet.
My tablet has a huge screen resolution and a powerful processor - more powerful than some laptops? Why is Firefox for Android neutered? I would understand disabling it by default to help those with less powerful devices, but why remove something that would add a competitive edge to your product, and is already integrated in desktop Firefox and has been for years? I prefer Firefox, but if Chrome adds web developer tools for Android first, I'll switch to Chrome.
There are people today using a tablet as their sole computing device. Please do not relegate us to a second-class Firefox experience!

Pointer tool not available with single track

I would like to adjust the volume using keyframes.
When I edit a clip from Premiere Pro in Adobe Audition the sound track waveform appears on Audition but I cannot adjust the volume using keyframes.
The pointer tool and other tools are greyed out.
Do I have to go to a multi track configuration to use the keyframes?

Basically yes you have to have your file open on a track in the Multitrack view in order to Volume envelopes with keyframes. However the is a Gain Envelope to which you can add keyframes under Effects/Amplitude and Compression but, unlike in Multitrack, it is not real time and has to be processed.

SDM-Deployment tool not available

i searched the forum for deployment matters but didn't quite find the right topic - so here goes another deployment question.
I installed SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio
Version: 2.0.3 and I want to use a remote WAS 6.20 (the J2EE)--> I set up the J2EE Engine according to window->preferences->SAP J2EE Engine (I entered the IP of the remote machine and port 50000)
somewhere in the helpfiles i also read the "Software Deployment Tool" is also under preferences accessible - hmmmpff - not in mycase. The Point is, I did the calculator tutorial with all the jar ear war files and can't deploy...

Use the <b>Deploy tool</b> that comes on the WAS 6.20 Client CD.
After that, if you look under Start --> Programs --> SAP J2EE engine 6.20 --> Tools you will find the deploy tool.
And don't try to use the Netweaver Studio features with WAS 6.20, as a general rule of thumb they won't work as they are designed for the 6.40.

Stabilization tool not available

I can't access the stabilization tool in iMovie. In fact, none of the tools show as available except cropping.
How do I fix this?

How can I update my itunes when I keep getting an error message saying the network path is not available

I am trying to update my itunes to 11.0.1, I can download it but when I install I keep getting an error message that states: the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Path Tool not working correctly

I am trying to animate png images along a path. I make the path as a mask to the object, and then copy the masks path to the objects position, and when I do the object moves somewhere off the camera view and the path is twice as big. Is anyone else having this issue? Very annoying. I missed a deadline for work because of it.

I talked to a tech support guy forever yesterday, and I am having issues becuase I upgraded to Mavericks. So even if it is at 100% scale it moves the entire path off screen once I apply the mask to the path
