InDesign update is frozen at %74. Cancelling just hangs at "finishing". Suggestions?

Am trying to update InDesign. It has been hung at %74 for two days. Cancelling hangs at "Finishing". Force Quit and restart ends up in the same situation. Suggestions?

Something simular happened to me yesterday. I was told to trash my indesign prefs.
Close down Indesign. and when you start up, quickly hold down Shift, Control, Option and Shift keys. Indesign will ask you if you want to replace your prefs.
Unfortunately, if you trash your prefs, you will not be able to get back previous settings that you keyed in before unless you key everything back in again.
