InDesign will not allow me to save my work. Why is this? Time sensitive project.

I downloaded the free trial for InDesign, and have been using it to work on an important project. I have had the free trial for a little while, but I am not exactly sure how long. I opened it about an hour ago, and it still offered the "continue trial" option, so I clicked it, but now it will not allow me to save or export my file to PDF. I am near completion on the project. It is due today, but if I am not able to save the file, I will not be able to submit the assignment. Is my inability to save the file a result of the trial running out mid-session? If so, what can I do to recover the work I have done?

Try a Save As
Create another document and move pages from the problem document to the new - attempt to save
Create a simple, one word document and try to Save or Export
I cannot answer to how the trials work.
I expect you have an acount - (most) current releases are subscription based - check your account status
Check the date stamps in your Program Folders pertinant to InDesign
Find the first InDesign file you made, what is the date history?

I own an Apple Airport Express station. I am attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the airport is hooked into the network via ethernet cord. While the first few months of operation have gone smoothly for this router, over the last few weeks any and all downloads have failed to complete over the airport. I moved outside and used the official University's wifi and the downloads worked, meaning it's not a UNC network problem (to my knowledge). All file types affected include song downloads through iTunes, app downloads on my iPhone, software downloads like Google Chrome, Finale, Microsoft Word updates, etc. I have tried this on both my Lenovo with Windows 7 and my Macbook Pro to troubleshoot hardware problems and it doesn't work on either of them. I have restored the router to factory settings twice now and still it does not work. Sorry for the length of this, just wanted to pass along as much info as I could.

The fact that you can access all downloads while the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) is not directly attached to the University's network indicates that the University's IT department may not allow downstream routers connected to their network without first registering it with them. This is often the case, and it is not uncommon that most universities do not allow you to do so in the first place. I would suggest that you start by contacting your IT department to see if this is allowed, and if so, they should be able to assist you with the proper configuration of your AX.

Try exporting to .idml. If that works, openthe .idml and save as a new .indd.
If it doesn't work, force quit ID and then restart. Auto-recovery should kick in and reopen the file at about the last state, then try again.

First check the version of the document with Jongware's script "Identify.jsx" (ExtendScript/JavaScript).

If it is CS 5.5 or above, you need someone to open it in the version the script says and export an IDML representation from that. Another way would be to install a 30days version of CS6 or above (CC) and do it yourself.
In regards of the script showing a result for InDesign files higher than CS6:
CS7 = CC v9
CS8 = CC v10 = CC-2014 or CC2014.1

Photoshop CC will not allow me to save files

Photoshop CC will not allow me to save any files. It will bring up the "save as" window, but then it immediately disappears when trying to select a save location. No error messages, it just disappears. Any ideas? Running it on a Mac OS X Mavericks. Have tried uninstalling, reinstalling, created a new profile which worked for a few saves, but started doing it on the new profile as well.

I uninstalled Photoshop CC along with the preferences.
I restarted, and logged back into Creative Cloud
where i reinstalled Photoshop CC.
Began immediately working in the program
and of course testing the save for web feature along with the other save options.
Seems that all is well. I hope this works for you as it did me.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

Computer will not allow me to save/copy images any longer

I've recently switched from a PC to Mac. I am trying to figure out why my computer will not allow me to drag a pic from Safari into a document or folder for me to save. It worked fine for hours today and now whatever I try will not work. I've even switched websites and programs (first tried saving directly to folder and then tried dragging into Word). Could I have possible turned that fuction off? Please help! Thanks

Returned from trip and imported several hundred photos to Iphoto from a Nikon 3200. I photo will not allow me to catalog Faces on most pictures. Some randomly will accept Faces. Key words and Descriptions work.
Why and how do I fix this?

As a test launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import a few photos from your camera and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it?

Some websites I can save as bookmarks while others will not allow me to save them as bookmarks. I have gone through the scenarios to determine what is causing this to occur to no avail. Can anyone help me?

Most websites I try to save will NOT save as a bookmark...not sure why? Some sites will work while others will not

This can be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Motion will not allow me to save a project as a template.

Trying to make some of my own templates but will not let me Save as Templates. Any ideas? Not using Demo version but using Academic version.

You may be trying to save to a directory you don't have write permissions to (like the default directory where Templates live which I believe has no write privs) try changing your path to another directory.

Have downloaded the latest PhotoShop CC but will not allow me to use Perspective Warp, why?

I am trying to use the latest tutorial about Perpective Warp. I have done the most recent download update today but when I go to edit, the Perspective Warp option is grayed out.

Photoshop grays thing out when some condition does not allow it to be use. The condition could be related to the current state of the active document, or related to hardware and software. Like Perspective Warp requires a GPU and may also require some amount of VRAM. Photoshop CC requirements state Video Adapter with GPU and at least 512MB VRAM. Check you Photoshop Preferences.
Photoshop menu Edit>Preferences>Performance GPU must be seen and enabled.

It all depends on exactly how you move the library from one machine to the other. The database holding information about your library is normally in a folder called iTunes, with the media in a subfolder called iTunes Media. In this layout you can usually copy the entire iTunes folder from one machine to the other and it will work. If the media folder is split to a new location however then often the links to tracks will fail on a new computer.
You shoud find that the FindTracks script is able to repair the links in your library.
I'm not sure I know what is going on with the purchased music, however if you enable Edit > Preferences > Store > Automatic Downloads > Music you should be able to recover your past store purchases.

My Apple TV works perfectly with Netgear/Dlink routers but will not recognise a BT Home Hub. Why is this so?

I have an Apple TV2 which works well with my Ipad2 when it is networked through a Netgear or Dlink router. However, when I moved the device into another room and tried to connect it via a BT Home Hub, the Apple TV connected to the Internet but neither my Ipad nor my notebook was recognised on the network. Why should this be? I am unable to use the Apple TV to stream videos, photos and to mirror my Ipad.

Its quite possible that the connection has been recovered, and re-used for another customer. The date you have been given would have been the next available date that a suitably skilled Openreach Field Technician would be available to re-provide the connection.
