Indesign wont start due to lack of writing permissions to the settings file!

My Indesign CC2014 refuses to start.
I get an errorwindow saying "Indesign couldn't start because you lack writeing permissons to the Indesign settings file. Correct the problem and restart Indesign."
Where is that file located?
I have no problem with the other CC-programs, they run just fine!
Anybody encountered this problem?

See Replace Your Preferences  for folder locations and Cant launch new inDesign CC | Adobe Community  for directions for setting the permissions on Mac. Procedure is similar on Windows.

  • InDesign wont start anymore?

    My InDesign wont start anymore.
It Works fine on administrator user
I have tried to reinstall it.
I have Windows 7 pc joined a domain.
I have tried to delete lst files

I hate to say this, but I think you should uninstall again, run the cleaner tool (CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 ) then runs MSconfig to turn off unnecessary startups including anti-virus  and malware scanners and browser helpers and toolbars. then run the installer again from  the actual Administrator account. Run MSconfig again after the install to return to normal startup.
Also, be sure your default printer is NOT a network printer (MS fax will do) and is ready for use for the first launch of ID.

I downloaded the Microsoft Autoruns package and ran it.  There are no programs in the LSA Providers tab, and Apple's Bonjour is the only program in the Winsock Providers tab.  I also did the "netsh winsock reset" and rebooted.  It didn't fix the problem.  Any more ideas?

  • Time Stamp problem while writing data into the excel file

    Hii, All
I am taking the data from the DAQ card of the TOPSCCC with the 8 ms of scanrate for each channel and there are total 16 no of Analog channels in the Card, now i am acquiring the data from the card, time stamping it and writing it into the excel file, which is tab delimited, now the problem is, the data which are in the excel file have the same timestamp for 4 to 5 continuous records, instead we want each data with the different and continuous time stamp with same difference of time stamp between two records, mean if it is difference of 8 ms then it should be the 8 ms for all, but here it is taking the differnce of 16 ms for two samples and giving same time stamp for four to five records and that shouldn't happen, here i am attaching my vi, drivers for the cards and Excel file with the data, can you please give me any suggestion how to do it?
Please help me i require this suggestion as early as possible, i am requiring it urgently.
    Thanks in Advance,

  • My itunes wont start due to quicktime

itunes wants me to have quicktime 7.5 and i do but it still wont load...what do i do?

You downloaded and installed?  I ask because somebody earlier today was complaining about Lion not working but it looked like although they had downloaded it they hadn't actually installed it.
Open Application > Utilities > System Profiler and check the Quicktime version in Frameworks vs. the version in Applications.  Both should be 7.5 or greater.
Did you repair permissions both before and after installing the update?  Did you verify your hard drive with Disk Utility before repairing permissions before installing?

  • InDesign wont start up

I've come to open up InDesign (CS5.5 on Windows Vista PC) and part way through it says 'Cannot load Indesign.exe because it requires IME. Please install the IME plug-in and restart InDesign. It was working fine a few days ago. Any ideas?

i can do. I just wondered if anyone had come across this problem before and if it was simply a case of down loading the IME plug-in. I looked on line but was confused. What is an IME? There seems to be lots of them and I didn't want to down load the wrong one and make matters worse. My InDesign is part of the CS5.5 suite. Can InDesign alone be removed and reinstalled or will I need to do the whole CS5.5 suite?

  • CSCul50066 - Upgrade fails due to lack of disk space in the /common partition

I noticed this has only 1 and 2 star ratings after bumping into this issue myself, so I figured I would help out the original poster and others who are experiencing this issue.
Presumably, the original poster is intending to advise that we read the CUCM 10.0(1) Upgrade Guide, and view the Pre-Upgrade Tasks therein.  These (the bullet points below) seem to be the salient options contained in that section.  I used the "Free Common Space COP file" option to resolve my disk space issue and allow my upgrade.  I found the .cop file in the following download area on CCO:

to their original values in order to avoid premature purging of traces. The default value for the high

  • Reading the data from 2 files and writing it into the 3rd file?

    Hi,
I am reading datas from 2 files Say,
    Example1.txt Example2.txt
    Ashok ^data1^data2^data3
    Babu ^data1^data2^data3
    Chenthil ^data1^data2^data3
    Danny ^data1^data2^data3
I want those data's to be written in a 3rd file. Say,
    Example3.txt
    Ashok^ data1^data2^data3
    Babu^ data1^data2^data3
    Chenthil^ data1^data2^data3
    Danny^ data1^data2^data3
So that i can tokenize it with a delimeter(^) and get the values. Here how to append the datas in this form in Example3.txt. Eventhough u use FileWriter with append "true" as a parameter how they will apend like the Example3.txt file? Please do provide an answer for this..Since this is very urgent to be delivered...Expecting postive response.

  • My ipod is displying apple logo and wont start up, hard reset leaves it the same, disc mode works but iTunes doesnt "see" it even if the computer does.

"My ipod is displaying apple logo and wont start up, hard reset leaves it the same, disc mode works but iTunes doesn't "see" it even if the computer does."
It worked two days ago fine, for two years, until I installed this newest iTunes update, then for one day it kept on freezing and going to apple logo screen mode, then today it only goes to that screen and wont start up at all.
I've tried the hold down two buttons hard reset, that doesn't help. I've tried disc mode... but iTunes doesn't "see" it even if the computer does.
This is a pristine ipod, never exposed to adverse conditions, never dropped, never wet, and it worked perfectly two days ago.
Can I factory reset it somehow? (considering itunes can't "see" it)
[Ipod classic 160gb less than two years old.]

Looks like I might have found the solution on a youtube comment:
    R.O:
"Plug into you laptop first, whichever set up you use that has iTunes, i know it won't read it, don't even open iTunes as of yet. Do the typical reboot "Menu +Center button at the same time" and hold it, DONT LET IT GO like we were told, when the apple pops up.. KEEP HOLDING IT it will make a new ding sound I've never heard before. and since its hooked to you laptop already an error message pops up and says apple will need to download something to repair your iPod. I when u see that that when i let reboot buttons go. hit ok on the laptop something downloads for like 20 seconds then the iTunes icon hops around when you open it it has a screen with an iPod classic on it and says "Software version blah blah, iTunes will check for an update on such n such date" AND FINALLY there's a "Restore" button. click that and you will be back to square one with your iPod. Renaming , adding all the music on it, but it will work again, finally. "
I had to do it twice, because my mac froze the first time, but its recognized it now and is downloading the software as we speak...
Now I've clicked the restore button and it's restoring... I'll post again if its a success, otherwise assume failure.
