InDesignCS6 isn't displaying colour group

I have a fully updated CS6 InDesign but I don't have the color group option in the swatches panel. Any ideas what may be the problem ?

Displaying A Group of Photos

Is the best (only) way to display a group of photos by creating a photo album? If so, I read that it's best to create a one w/Adobe Bridge rather than the web photo gallery feature under Commands in Dreamweaver.

Displaying photos is highly subjective. You can put all your images in a CSS styled proof sheet like this:

Or you can use jQuery or Lightbox plug-ins to create really slick slideshows & Galleries with all manner of bells & whistles. What it comes down to is a) which features you need and b) how much effort you want to put into it.

Obviously if you're a professional photographer you may need a sophisticated gallery with e-com solutions to sell prints on-line. If this is a hobby/personal site, you may need far less. So to say "this" or "that" product is best for everyone isn't realistic.

Any ideas as to what may be causing this problem? My mac is only a few months old and is one of the latest models.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

The next time you have the problem, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.
If you have more than one user account, these instructions must be carried out as an administrator.
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar.
Scroll back in the log to the time you noted above. Select any messages timestamped from then until the end of the episode, or until they start to repeat. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V).
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

It's not designed to work like this. When you sync, the iPod stores some information that basically says 'this iPod belongs to computer xyz'. Apple did this to prevent copyright issues (syncing someone else's music).
If you really want to do this, you'll have to at least tie both iTunes installations to the same account. Maybe have them sync with each other.

Why are my Illustrator Cs6 PDFs missing / displaying colours incorrectly?

I recently upgraded to Cs6, and since doing so have noticed the PDFs i'm ouputting are displaying terrible on both mine and clients' Macs alike. When viewed with Adobe Acrobat they are fine, but if I use any Mac native applications like Preview they are either missing elements or displaying colours are black.
Perfect example, I sent an PDF document to a client (output by CS6) and a third of the content was missing when she viewed it. For me, it displayed fine in all Adobe applicaitons.
This is happening in both RGB + CMYK modes.
Im worried that one day very soon i'm going to end up with a phone call from a client about 50,000 brochures they cannot use due to colour issues..

I find that Preview is genearally pretty lax at displaying PDF files. If they are fine in Acrobat, then it seems you won't “end up with a phone call from a client about 50,000 brochures they cannot use due to colour issues.” hopefully!

How do I display a group of photos automatically and each photo is displayed in a slow motion in flash 8

I would like to display a group of pictures in a timely base,
i.e. every 5 seconds, and each picture showed in a moving status,
how can I achieve this....

It is possible to make a collage manually and its quite easy. This method may suit your purpose.
Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save.

Displaying a group of data in different colums

I have a problem with displaying a group of data in different colums. I want to display a group of data like this:
Column 1 --- Column2 ----- Column3
data1 data6 data11
data2 data7 data12
data3 data8 data13
data4 data9 data14
data5 data10 data15
That is, the coulm headers must be at the same height of the page and data must be in paralell columns.
My number of data is variable depending on a query result, and I want to start displaying my group on the first column and when it is full (the number of records per column is fixed), is must switch into the next one.
In case there were more than 15 records, the 16th and the followings, must be displayed on the next page, with the same format as i have explained before.

GT72 - Dragon Gaming Centre "Instant Play" & Display Colour Calibration issue

Hi guys,
Very much enjoying my GT72, but I've noticed a strange error that I can't seem to find the solution to either on this forum or elsewhere.
Basically the computer boots up to an incorrect colour calibration setting (really blue) which I have tried to set properly with the default windows "Calibrate Display Colour" tool. It seems to stick after doing that, but rebooting reverts it to the previous default.
I've also noticed that when pressing Fn+F4 for the Instant Play, it seems to change color display settings; if it was on the default really blue setting it'd change to my calibration, and vice versa.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to prevent Instant Play changing calibration settings and having my calibration stick between reboots?

Hi,
After you create the data query in Data Model, drag col2 outside the group and place it, a new group will be created.
Similarly drag col3 in the newly created group for col2.
Now again drag col3 from col2 group and place it outside both the above groups a new group will be created.
Now drag all the other columns col4, col5 etc in the group for col3.
You can place all the columns in the query in any group as required after creating the groups.

The webpage is now working, but what I did in the end was:
(For other poor unfortunates like I)
1. In publish settings make sure u select static content and transparent poster
2. After publishing, go to the folder you published your web and find file with extension .oam
3. Change that extension to .zip and unpack this folder
4. Go to the unpacked folder and find Asset folder in it
5. Go to the asset folder and the content of the asset folder is the content which you should publish on server and it works as it should.
A. Having said that, I find more than disappointing that I had to actually go to those steps in order to publish my website which works perfectly on my computer.
B. Unfortunately I didn't manage to have a moving background instead of static image. That is, on my computer I can have moving background and it works perfectly, full screen moving background, but when I publish and upload this on server, then I do not see my moving background at all, doesn't matter what I do.
I'd really would appreciate if somebody could please help me with this.

How can I alter the display colours on ios7

How can I alter the display colours on my iphone and iPad. The new white grey with some bright colours is driving me mad. I have vision problems and this new theme is making it very difficult to use. Turning brightness down doesn't help.

The problem is that the nr. 3131 dosen't have a MAC/IP address, it was created in Directory Nr. not on the Device/add device, the nr was created to be able to call Avaya agents and the user to not see the personal agent nr ( 3131 ), only the name. The problem is when a place a call the nr from forwarding appears on the display instead the name I put ( Test ).

Why does opening CS6 cause my display colours to change?

Hi guys,
My problem: Whenever I open CS6 (Photoshop, Illustrator...) my display colours on my laptop change. WHen I close the colours shift back to me defult settings. The Image mode is on RGB.
I have a new MacBook Pro with 6GB of RAM.
Any ideas? It's making work (digital advertising) difficult.

I've followed instructions to remove problem, still exists, how do I get Iphoto to open?

Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .
