Index bookmarks not appearing in correct place in PDF

This has happened to me on Frame 6, Frame 7, Frame 8, and Frame 9. It's happened with Acrobat 7, 9, and 10.
Occasionally, when I print a book in FrameMaker, the Index bookmarks are out of sequence in the generated PDF. They appear as subheadings in the file BEFORE the index, and the Index bookmark itself has no subheadings.
For example, the bookmarks look like this:
Title
Table of Contents
1 Introduction
2 Basics
(other chapters)
   Symbols
    Numerics
    A
    B
    Z
Index
In this book, the bookmarks from "Symbols" through "Z" are in the Index file. But, they don't appear in the correct sequence in the PDF.
Note: To create PDFs, I use the Acrobat PDF printer driver, distilling the book to a ps file, then running Distiller to create the PDF. When this problem arises, I move the bookmarks to where they should go
This is a great puzzlement. Can anyone tell me why this happens?

Make sure the Mac Mini has all available software updates as suggested here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1333 . Just click the Apple in the top left corner of the screen> Software Update, and install all available software updates.
Also, make sure the iPhone is updated to iPhone software 2.2 http://www.apple.com/iphone/softwareupdate/

Music does not appear in correct order on ipod

ok, i have found 2 of my albums do not appear in correct order on my ipod, but they do in itunes. They are numbered correctly, named to the same album, everything is right. They are just in mixed order when i choose the album on my ipod.
i have a 5g 80 gig.
i've tried deleting the music, copying it back on, still happens.
any help?
edit* am i the only one that has to constantly open the browser in itunes for my ipod everytime i plug it in? the browser stays open in the library but not my ipod, that didnt happen back in 6. Its a small problem but REALLY annoying.

GetColumnAt(index) does not appear to work

I am attempting to place a simple Icon in a dataGrid using
cellRenderer. My problem is that
'myDataGrid.getColumnAt(index).cellRenderer' does not appear
to work. Most of the forum examples create arrays with AS and don't
show this example. I already use XMLConnector (which works fine)
the problem is referencing a column after the fact. I can do this
when creating column smanually but not using getColumnAt(index).
My code block:

Bookmarks not appearing following an iCloud sync

I categorized my bookmarks in folders on my PC for easy retrieval. In some cases I have nested categories 2 or 3 levels deep. After I sync my bookmarks from my PC with my iPad via iCloud, the bookmark folders appear, but the bookmark URLs themselves, within each bookmarked folder category, do not appear in Safari on my iPad. I tried syncing both using the IE and Safari bookmarks to my iPad. In either case the bookmark URLs do not appear in the folders. Anyone had this issue and resolved it? Thanks.

Try to turn off Bookmark sync Settings > iCloud.
Close Safari, restart iPad, turn on Bookmark sync.

Font size button does not appear when I read imported PDF books (in ibooks)

I imported several books in PDF forman in my iPad 2, and I can read them fine, but the Font size button (A A on the uper right corner) does not appear. I only have the brightness button (that only controls the brightness and nothing else), the Search and the Bookmark buttons. Any idea? Thanks.

Buttons not appearing after exporting to Interactive PDF

I created buttons on my master page in InDesign with the event "on click" and actions "go to first page", "go to last page", "go to previous page", and "go to next page". Then I applied my master page to all the pages in my document. On certain pages I override the item on the master page and gave the button a different action (go to text anchor). Then I exported to Adobe PDF (Interactive). When I view the PDF, most of the Master Page buttons do not appear. This doesn't happen every time. I have created documents that work with this setup, but this one document will not work properly. Any suggestions?

Some Indexed entries not appearing in master.chm

Here's the situation:
We have about 100 individual projects and they are all merged
into a Master to bring them together. About half of the projects
have a TOC. The TOCs for all projects are appearing great. All
indexed entries come over when merging into the Master except for
one single project. That project's TOC comes over fine, but NONE of
the indexed entries are available in the index of master.chm. All
index entries for that project, however, appear correctly when
viewing that project's individual chm file.
I have tried deleting the merged project from the Master and
re-merging. I have tried recompiling the troublesome project and
then re-merging. Same problem.

As a follow up to the previous post I disabled iCloud and opted to keep all items on my iPad thinking that I'd rather have too much data than too litt.e I then did an iTunes sync which replicated a lot of data in Outlook, but the renamed calendar still isn't being synced over or the entries that have been added to it. I put in a test entry on the iPad and it's going into the renamed calendar1 but not showing up in Outlook.
Any further tips. I've tried installing OpenSSL as advised on another Apple support KB article but this has no effect.

Heading 3 Style Bookmarks not jumping to correct topics with Acrobat X

Hi,
When creating a PDF from Word, the Heading 3 style (native to Word) is creating Bookmarks that jump to the Copyright Page of the document (Page 1 per the Properties dialog box).
I checked the Word file for something suspicious, but didn't see anything.
Wondering if anyone has come across this with Acrobax X. I have the latest patch.

Some partial answers to some of my questions:
They were conveniently all in one menu, and it's very easy to tell someone, "Go to the menu bar and choose Advanced > Print Production > Output Preview."
But in Acrobat X, by default these choices aren't visible. It appears necessary to click Tools, which dramatically reduces the document width available), Print Production, and then choose from the Panel.
Since this user interface isn't standard, it's harder to describe to new users, and keeping Tools open wastes a lot of screen space.
It doesn't address the real estate issue, but at least one can describe to users they should View > Tools > Print Production and then deal with the subsequent tools pane that appears and therein click Output Preview.
Another concern is the new interface seems to have destroyed the discoverability of keyboard shortcuts. For instance, in Acrobat 9, Document > Delete Pages was clearly bound to Command-Shift-D.But in Acrobat 10, how are you supposed to find the keybinding? It is not even in the tooltip
In fact, it doesn't seem to be in the help under Keyboard shortcuts, or anywhere else in the help that I could find!

in the "Page Thumbnails" "Navigation Pane" (formerly"Pages"; still F4) the right-click context menu has these shortcuts. As does what I guess is the "options" menu (analagous to a "flyout" menu but its in the upper-left of the pane rather than the upper-right). This isn't all that great since every icon leading to a functino should show the same keyboard binding, but it's nice to know it is somewhere...

Newly created sub-folder does not appear in correct location

Hello, When I attempt to create a sub-folder in Finder the newly created folder is located at the bottom of the Documents drive and not within the folder I'd originally selected, eg:
1) viewing the Finder in List view, selected a folder in the Documents Drive, eg DOCUMENTS / WORK
2) from the "Action" button at the top of the Finder page I've selected "new folder" option
3) A new folder has been created but it's placed at the bottom of the Documents drive, eg DOCUMENTS / UNTITLED FOLDER
I've attempted this a number of times and always with the same results, is this bug occurring for all 10.5 users? I hope not because this is a shocker.
Any advise or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

This appears to be a design decision, as when you're in list view, the current folder is the one displayed in the window. If you want it to work the way you think it should, use column view.

Photoshop 3D Brushes not drawing in correct place?

Hi,
The 3D brushes in Photoshop are all great and very fun to use, especially the newer 3D pencil brushes, but ealrier I was getting quite irritated by the 3D brushes and where they actually draw on the canvas in relation to the 'tip' of the brush cursor on screen.
The brushes I am specifically talking about are the first set of actual 'paint brushes' typically found on the 2nd row down on the standard brush menu. Usually when I use these, I turn on opacity and flow jitter to respond to brush pressure, and of course the angle is determined by the angle at which I hold my tablet pen as they are 3D simulated brushes.
I notice that the newer pencil brushes work flawlessly, drawing exactly under the pointed area of the brush cursor, supposedly simulating the look of the lead of a pencil. This works just fine, and is easy to understand where the mark will appear on the canvas when I use them.
But the paint brush brushes lack this for me, and I'm not sure if its something wrong my end, or if its supposed to be this way? For example, if I tilt my brush at a normal shading angle to try and get a nice even. thick coat of paint from the tip, it instead seems to come out infront of my brush cursor not under it, and as a much thinner line that expected. This is not a big problem but when you try to do very precise tonal work in tight areas of an image, this trick on the eyes gets old fast.
Anyone have any suggestions as ways to fix this? Or is it suppoed to be like this and is the same for everyone else? If so, I'd persoanly push to try to change this in the next PS version to work more like the pencil brushes do, with the marks they make coming out from under their cursors instead of randomly about half an inch infront of them at times. Hope people understand what I mean: if not I'll try to make a video capture to get what the cursor is doing in relation to whats being drawn.

First I downloaded document capture s/w from oracle.com site,I am not getting the option when I download s/w from this site.
Later i downloaded it from https://edelivery.oracle.com/ site. Now I am getting the options now.

Caption labels do not appear on correct photo in print contact sheet

I have created a 6 photo contact sheet and wish to have the caption field appear as a label below each photo in the grid. The 1st photo went ok, 2nd photo accepted caption but appeared on the incorrect photo when moved from library to print view. I have deleted the captions and reentered them and still incorrect.

Try closing LR and then reopen. If the problem persists post a screenshot in the Print module with captions on all six pictures and explain what's wrong.

Main nav bar does not appear sometimes when opening a PDF

Hi. I'm using a PC running Windows 7, and Acrobat 10 and 11. I am having a strange problem where Acrobat will open one PDF normally and then a second one will open with no navigation toolbar (menu bar?) above the "Create PDF" bar that has the customizable tool icons...which renders the document useless to me as I can't drag the window around my desktop or "Save As". This also happens intermittently when re-opening the very same file. I have tried deleting the Preferences file (though I only have "WebCaptr11.prefs" in there...is that normal?), hitting F9, or F8, or Ctrl+Shift+M. Nuthin'. Right-clicking on the top of the window doesn't seem to offer any solutions, either. Any help much appreciated!

Why are my rollover images not appearing correctly in my browser?

I have created rollover images for some of my site navigation, and when I view it in my browser, they are not in the correct place on the page. When I click on each rollover, it eventually goes to the right place when I return to that page, but I must do this to all rollover navigation buttons in order for them to show up in the correct place. The links work fine. I am relatively new to this, so not sure if I am providing all the correct info here. My site is www.pfeiferdesign.com. I am using DW CS4. Would appreciate any suggestions!!
