Index Combines Number Entries

I am using InDesign CS4 fully updated. When I add a number such as 16-0002 to the index as a page reference, it works fine. On the next page if I add the number 16-02 to the index, it will add that under the 16-0002 reference rather than creating a new reference entry. I need each each of these to be individual references since they are not the same number, yet InDesign fails to see the 0's as placeholders and ignores them when combining numbers for indexing purposes.
Is there any way to get these to be separate index entries?

One way is to look into to table for monitor , but again please explain for what do you need this - If it is to be used for reporting then it will be something else..
As for the reports / Queries being used -
1. You can use where used lists or..
2. You could go to maintain queries and select your dataprovider.

i have an ALV report requirement like this,
on the initial screen i have displayed(for a given agreement number like in ME33K )
in the selection screen i have taken agreement number as EKPO-EBELN.
purchase document number        item number        short text        target quantity      net price

the above fields i have taken from EKPO table.....
and on double clicking the item number i have displayed

the above fields i have taken from ESLL (esll-extrow, esll-srvpos, esll-ktext1 , esll-menge etc......)
this i have done by passing EBELN to ESLH and getting PACKNO and passed this PACKNO to ESLL.
now my question is i need to display Purchase order, PO Item , Order Number ,entry sheet quantity ,entry sheet price ,invoice quantity, invoice price
against each line number above.....
from which table do i need to take these fields.....
please guide me....

The problem is the multiple invoices is for non goods receipt item so there will be no delivery.At the time of creating a PO the GR is not checked so there will be no delivery .
Also this setting is for invoices which are comming from Vendors.But if we are genrating the invoices manually it is not blocking those invoices.Also i there is nowhere mentioned in Incomming invoice to set tolerence for incomming invoice.Are you talking about Vendor tolerences?

I am workflow learner, I am having theoretical knowledge on it.
Now, I started to practice practically in my IDES server.
I am getting an error message while I am trying to save my standard task with my object type and method and event (which were already created in SWO1).
My error message details.....
Prefix number: entry missing for system EC5 client 800
Message no. 5W023
Diagnosis
Tasks, rules, and workflow definitions require an ID that is unique throughout all systems and clients. In this way, you can ensure that you can transport these objects from one system into another at any time (without restrictions). From a technical point of view, the uniqueness of the ID is ensured by what is known as a "prefix number". You can define a separate prefix number for every system and every client in table T78NR.
System response
If a prefix number is not defined in the client in which you are currently working, it is not possible to maintain (maintenance terminates).
Even I tried to create on entry in the table T78NR, but as that is standard table, I am unable to make an entry.
Hope we have to configure the workflow, I am not having any Basis consultant with me. Can anyone help to cross this problem.

in Prefix number OOW4, system is asking me to enter, the Prefix number, Interval start, Interval End, and Check Sum.
I entere the same 980 in prefix number, and i dont know what to enter the Interval start and interval end and check sum.
Also there is some msg coming when i tried to manage some values, " NO Intervals can be reserved for this prefix number" - MSg No: 5W179.
Please gurus help me.

CRM BP Identification number entries (Identification tab) from CRM to ECC

I have a requirement to map the CRM BP Identification number entries (under Identification tab) from CRM to ECC alongwith BP flow from CRM to ECC.
1. Is it mapped by standard framework and do we have any view in ECC customer master to display the identification numbers?
2. If not, Is it stored in some table in ECC?

Were you able to resolve this as I am looking to do the same thing? From my investigation, I can't see anything standard that would transfer this data, although it does look like the Identification number is held within the BDoc.
I assume the solution would be to map the field into an XD01 field (either a bespoke field or standard - we are planning to use Corporate Group) but i'm not sure how to progress this... I have found some FM's in table CRMSUBTAB which look like the right sort of thing so that is my next area to investigate.
Please let me know if you have managed to solve this some other way!

Serial number entry after posting delivery doc......

hi experts....
we have a requirement in which in the standard sales cycle of Sales order->delivery document posting ( PGI)-> invoice billing the client wants that serial number entry (which is done at the time of PGI) should be done after invoicing(at the end of the day) because as per the business practice of the client, its not practically feasible for the client to enter serial numbers at the time of selling the finished material. The client manually records the serial numbers on the invoice copy and enters the serial numbers for the respective invoices at the end of the day.
Now while testing the client scenario we found that once PGI & invoicing has been done without entering the serial number for the material, the system does not accept any serial number assignment for that material after the completion of sales cycle.
So is there any solution in which serial number can be entered for a material whose PGI and invoicing has been completed?

Hello,
As you know the system may not allow to enter the serial number details in the delivery --> Extras --> Serial numbers field, once the delivery is completely PGI'ed and invoiced.
But you may change the same in the table by debug mode. You need to update serial number in the material document in the table level also. Contact your ABAP expert, he may be able to guide you properly.

Hi Angela,
Please check if the Prefix number is maintained in SWU3 t-code.
Go to Maintain Definition Environment -> Maintain Prefix Numbers and check if the prefix number is maintained.

Audition CS6 requires a Serial number entry at every startup

Audition CS6 requires a serial number entry everytime I start the program. How do I fix this.? It is very annoying and If I get locked out of the program before I fix the dance recital music Its not going to go well for me here.

You don't say whether you are on Windows or not, but if so you might try running the program once as an Administrator. Once the serial has been accepted, then try running as a regular user.

Serial Number Entry Funtion

Is there any way to set the serial number entry funtion DisplayUUTInformationDialog to be modal or floating? I want it to stay on top of the user interface when I scroll through the sequence steps or report for example. I would have thought this would be selectable some way. Like the message pop-up.

Hi,
You can override the PRE UUT (http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370052N-01/tsexamples/infotopics/process_model_parallel/).
Skip the existing UUT dialog steps and replace with your own steps which gets the serial number ( using message popup or LV or any other language).
Since its a custom step you can make it the way you want it - modal or non modal.
The default serial number dialog in not modal.
It does the following function which your custom serial step should do :
On user clicking ok on the serial number dialog the parameters.UUT.serial number is updated with the user defined serial number.
Also you need to update the paramters.continue testing if user clicks cancel on the serial dialog.

Number Entry Field Problem

I'm new to iPhone dev. I try to have a screen with a number entry field after application starts. However I can't seem to get it displayed (a black screen shows instead, after successful build). This is what I did, am I missing something?:

Varchar2 in index vs. number

My indexes on three primary tables total 80gb in space. They have 3-6 columns in the index, one of which is a 10-byte varchar field. This field holds an identifier type in character rather than numeric format. For example, name type is "INDIV" rather than a coded 001. If I use numeric, I will need to decode the text value on my screens/reports.
Is there a cost overhead in using varchar2 rather than number? Is there a space saving in either approach?

U should keep the varchar2 index and make a partition by range or list on it.
At my knowledge, there's no reason to put the key as number as they r no reason to put it as varchar.
If u need the field as a varchar, let it be a varchar... (and in ur example, u will win a decode each time u'll access this key...)

VERY URGENT: serial number entry

HI ALL,
In Table MASE - store the last serial number, which is not done by any trasaction from R/3 easy acess, now system considering this entry as a reference for all materil and give serial number.
But user have its own number range like 1300, but as in table MASE the value is stored as 11293, its taking this as a ref number and giving the next serial number like 11294, 11295 etc.
PLZ CAN YOU SUGGEST HOW TO DELETE THE VALUSE 11293 FROM TABLE MASE.
ANS will reward defntly.

We dont have facility to assign no. ranges to Serial No. instead we give No. ranges for Equipment Categories and assign this Equipment Catgoriy to Serial No. Profile.By Assigning the Serial No. profile to a material master, the system will use the Serial Nos from No. ranges for Equipment Category.
U can check the number ranges for equipment category from TC OIEN.
Also is there any custom table for serial number format maintained..???
or any BAPI or FM used in creating customer specific Serial numbers..???

Index third level entry issue

I have a word document with Index marking. The index marking has three levels. When we import the word document into InDesign CS5 or later it shows up correctly without any mistake.
However, when we export the content as RTF format the third level entry is missing completely. First two levels (level 1 and level 2 index entries) were appeared in the exported RTF.
I need all the index entries must be appeared in the exported RTF format. Can anyone help me out in this issue would be great!!!

Asset Serial Number entry via SRM Receipting

Hello,
We have a situation where in our SRM environment, users are creating shopping carts where the Material on the shopping cart line item requires a serial number to be entered upon receipt.
We have not found a good way to allow users to enter the serial number of the item during goods receipt, other than giving them access to t-code MIGO in ECC. We are looking to see if SRM has a way to enter the serial number for assets during the standard SRM receipting process.

There is a function...er sorry method.. called ConnectListBarPages in your MainForm.cs file. It looks like this:

You see that huge string witht the @ sign at the beginning. That is using resource strings to pull the serial number from your execution. If you look closely at this string you'll see the CurrentExecution, UUTSerialNumber, TestSocketIndex, and ModelState being pulled out to update the DisplayExpression. Which is what you see in the listbar. See attached image. All these properties (except currentExecution) are part of your ModelData in your process model. If those don't get updated then according to the logic in the string depends on what gets put in there.
Hope this helps clarify a little. It gets tricky when dealing with multithreading.

Exceeded Serial Number Entry-ordering Recovery Disc

Ordering recovery disc for Pavilion dv7-1245dx. I am in the USA so checked that. Entered the serial number on the order form. Came back incorrect number. Tried again and same error. Tried the letter"O" instead of zero/nil - same error. Then, since the number began with CND I guessed it might be a Candian product. Checked Canada on previous page and re-entered the serial number. This time it said I had exceed the allowed attempts to enter a serial number. The link shown for support was a 404 dead-end. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Check you have the correct Serial No. by checking the entry in the bios. To do this, shut down the notebook. Tap away at f10 as you press the power button to enter the Bios Menu - on the initial page you should see several details relating to your notebook such as Model No. Product No. and also your Serial No.

Serial Number entry

i have created a serial number profile for deliveries where the user can enter the first serial number manually and create the rest automatically.
Sometimes on large deliveries with 110 pieces have different serial numbers that are not in order assigned to them.
example 20 pieces have a serial number range of 1 -20
40 have it from 40-80
10 have it from 90-100
30 have it 110-140
How can someone enter all of them without manually doing it one by one which is realistically not feasible.

Hi there,
When you automate the serial num entry, as per the standard process, system will assign the next available serial num in the system. In your case could be that some serial num in between are already assigned. This is same as generate serial num automatically function where the system will assign the next available serial num.
