Index.pdx  Dialog Warning Help

Today, for the first time, an error (warning?) dialog box opens up when I open some of my PDF files. The files use to open without the dialog box, and now it appears when I open some of my files.
After the PDF loads, a dialog box opens which states:
"The index associated with this document (C:\Documents and Settings\*****\Desktop\*****'s Folder\temp10\index.pdx) could not be located."
There is an option to disable the dialog and an "OK" button.
Does anyone know why I keep receiving this message. How do I turn it off without disabling it? Did I change a setting?
I use Adobe Acrobat Professional version 8.1.2

The reason you are getting this error message is, either you have:
1) Deleted/renamed the associated Catalog index (PDX files) from your desktop folder, or
2) Moved your PDF files from original location - thus breaking the PDX-PDF relative path relationship.
To fix this, you should restore the PDX/PDF documents to the original paths on your local hard-disk when you associated Catalog indexes with the PDF documents.

  • How can i open the "Convert to Indexed Color" dialog with custom presets?

    Hi,
    I need to automatically open the "Convert to Indexed Colors" dialog in Photoshop. Before and after that i have some scripts running so its not possible to open the dialog manually. Also i want to set some custom presets (like number of colors etc.).
    Found something similar to what i want for the Color Range selection (opens the dialog with the presets you put in):

    How can i achieve the same for the indexed color conversion dialog? Apart from doing a lot of guessing regarding the stringIDs.
    Is there some kind of "lookup table" for char and string IDs?

    Recorded it with Script Listener and changed the "DialogMode" parameter of the executeAction function from "DialogModes.No" to "DialogModes.All".

  • No Index tab in generated Help

    This seems like a really simple question so I apologize if I missed something, but I am using RoboHelp HTML X5.0.2 to generate Microsoft HTML Help.  When I Generate Primary Layout, everything works fine and I am able to View the Result, but it only has Contents and Search tabs, and there is no Index tab.  The "List Topics" button works fine, but I have lots of Index entries in my Help project and don't understand why they don't show.
    Is this a limitation of (my version of) RoboHelp?  Of Microsoft HTML help?  I have only tried viewing the results on my computer (Windows XP SP3) - is the OS a limitation?  P.S. when I click on the Advanced... button from the Project Properties the Default Frame on the Index tab says "Default (none)" - that seems strange and I tried changing this to the other settings (New Window, Parent Frame, etc.) but that didn't seem to affect the results.

    Hi aecspades and welcome to the RH community.
    This could be because the index keywords have not be added to the project's index file. If you go into your project settings (File > Project Settings) you'll find an option there which I bet is set to add keywords to the topics. For the index tab to display you must have keywords added to the HHK file.

    Pages v5 documents do not have an internal index.xml file. When you attempt to open one of these with the older Pages '09, you will get that dialog. Double-click the document icon, or right-click, and open with Pages v5 to access the document contents.

  • Itunes dialog warnings help to ask me again

    I check dont ask me again , but I want this dialog screen again, so how can I do to get back this dialog screen
    I tried reset warnings , but dont succesfully I still dont has it.

    I am having this same issue.  iTunes won't give me the option to skip already imported songs from an album after checking the "don't ask me again" box.  How do we get these warnings back?  I have tried to delete the iTunes plist and restarted iTunes with no difference.  Do I have to empty trash and restart the computer for the changes and warning dialog to return?

  • Problem with indexes, really stuck! Help!!

    Hi,
    I am having a slight problem and don't know how to fix it.
    I have a string with a list of numbers, eg
    strA = "910111213...." and so on up to 22
    I have a method that checks whether there is a word between the numbers and returns a string with the numbers separated by commas which works like this:
    ---- The first number 9 is passed to the method
    ---- It searches for the index of 9 in the string
    ---- Then gets the length of 9
    -----The index of 9 is then added to the length to give the "equivalent" index of the next number in the string
    ----- Then the method gets the index of "9 + 1" i.e. the index of 10
    ---- A comparison is made between the the two indexes and if they are not equal, it means that there is a word between them
    However here is where the problem is. If there is no word between the numbers I expect the method to return a string containing the numbers separated by commas i.e. 9,10,11, 12, 13 etc... However, the string that is returned does not contain the number 21 and this is my thinking of why;
    since 21 actually occurs when transitioning from 12 to 13 .. i.e. "1213", as it would not return the correct index, since it would return an index of "6", instead of "23", so the method meets a stumbling block and is not sure of how to proceed, so does not return 21 in the string, so this is how I went about trying to solve that:

    About the concept of mutable integer, I would be interested in learning more about utilising that concept and I would appreciate some insight from you.Having no pass by reference in Java, I was tempted to write one a couple of times, simple versions would be
    class MutableInteger{
    public int value;
    }or just passing an int array of size 1.
    Although I wished for it, I always came up with different solutions without the need for one, which I think are cleaner. Wrapping the method in a class so the integer can be a field variable would be one solution, many other times one can get rid of it by rethinking the logic.
    The only times I do use arrays of size 1 is if I have to wrap a computation in a Runnable and need a result of that e.g. for returning. But this stems more from the problem that it needs to be final and mutable the same time.

    Hi Raju,
    There are a few things I would change below.
    The first is that optimized rectangles (which you are using) need to be specified as lower left then upper right, assuming the lowest values are in the lower left corner of the coordinate system.
    The way you've specified them is upper left, lower right which will not work.
    The second thing I would change is your create index statement. You shouldn't be using locater to create the index - locator is a separate product should be used only with point geometries.
    Your create index statement should look something like this:
    create index zonetemp_sidx on zonetemp(shape)
    indextype is mdsys.spatial_index
    parameters ('sdo_level=NN');
    where NN above is an integer number representing the tiling level you are going to use for the index. This is workload dependent, but I will give you a range of 8-12 to start with - you can protype using real data and figure out what gives you the best performance - if it is 12 you may want to go higher.
    Also, you will have had to preload user_sdo_geom_metadata.
    Finally, your query looks good, although I would change it slightly to set the third ordinate to NULL rather than 0, i.e.:

    IDK what I did but I accidentally set it to give me Xlint warning (I think).
    I was trying to make myself a jar file for a code I made and this is when the problem started happening.
    Every time I try to compile anything it prints this warning:
    Note: blank.java uses unchecked or unsafe operations.
    Note: Recompile with -Xlint:unchecked for details.So I tried recompiling with Xlint:
    javac -Xlint blank.javaIt gave me 3 warning thats I don't understand how to fix.
    Then I decided the warnings probably mean nothing since I have such a simple code anyway so I tried to figure out how to get rid of the warnings and I was told to type:
    javac -Xlint:uncheckedor
    javac -nowarnBut when I type those it prints out:
    javac: no source files
    Usage: javac <options> <source files>
    use -help for a list of possible optionsSo I am stuck at this point. I don't want the warnings and IDK what to do.

  • Spotlight not indexing iPhoto Keywords - need help

    Spotlight appears to be working for everything else but will not index iPhoto (version 7.0.1) keywords. When I run in Terminal:

    Also, running mdimport -r "/System/Library/Spotlight/iPhoto.mdimporter" in Terminal does not return any results (or any errors).
    I have checked my library for any comments/descriptions with any line breaks in them and can not find any. I have deleted and rebuilt the spotlight indexes. I have added Pictures to the privacy section of spotlight then put it back. I have insured that iPhoto.mdimporter is the version off the the Leopard installation disc. I have checked that iPhoto.ipspot contains the correct path to AlbumData.xml.
    Any help or ideas on how to troubleshoot would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

  • Warning help: "this compilation unit did not have a factoryClass specified in Frame...."

    hey guys, so after installing the new beta 2, I recieved a warning in my project staying "This compilation unit did not have a factoryClass specified in Frame metadata to load the configured runtime shared libraries. To compile without runtime shared libraries either set the -static-link-runtime-shared-libraries option to true or remove the -runtime-shared-libraries option."
    I have no idea where in my project this warning occurs, but it syas the resource, is login.mxml, and the location is unknown, and the type is Flex Problem

    Sorry to be slow in responding to this, but these new errors are difficult to diagnose without looking at your class paths and configuration. I gather, as I'm sure you have, that the compiler is failing to locate some of the classes necessary to compile your application. I don't have experience with the spark components, so this is an issue that I haven't run into. When I've run into trouble compiling with the 4.0 sdk, it's been either because I was trying to use a class/component that had changed recently (this is the case with some of the TextLayoutFramework classes; some of the older tutorials on the web reference classes and properties that have changed in more recent builds), or because I wasn't compiling to Flash Player 10.
    Sorry I can't be of more help here; but you might want to move this issue to a different/new thread since the compiler line fix described above did address the factoryClass issue.

  • Disaster after i added an index !! pls help

    Hi All ,
    I almost caused a diaster after i added an index to an existing table which i DO NOT understand. Kindly help me understand so i will not repeat the same mistake and i might probably get sacked if it ever happened again
    existing table indexes
    pk1 --> lotid(varchar2) , step_begin_time(date)
    idx1 --> lotid(varchar2) , step_begin_time(date) , release_time(date) , location
    idx2 --> release_time(date) , step_begin_time(date) , completion_class location
    idx2a --> step_begin_time (date)
    idx2b --> release_time (date)
    new indexes
    i added idx3 --> LOTID (only)
    from what i checked in PL/SQL session it seem to take very long when it uses the step_begin_time ?
    how does my action caused the loading that uses the step_begin_time to be that slow ???
    if the statement uses step_begin_time , wouldn't it uses pk1 , or idx1 or idx2 or idx2a ??
    if so how will the new index idx3 will result in such slowness
    and if both lotid & step_begin_time are being used it would have used pk1 or idx1 ??
    really need your advise

    The index on LOTID is not necessary. Oracle (even 8.1) will happily use the indexed LOTID from the PK or idx1 if it wasn't for your wrong usage of the date data type.
    As Kamal has already pointed out, when you transform the date column into a varchar column, you effectively prevent the usage of idx1 (unless you create a function based index, but that's another story and absolutely not necessary here)
    You should rather convert your input parameter :b2 into a date:
    WHERE lotid=:b1
    AND step_begin_time = to_date(:b2,'DD-MON-YYYY hh24:mi:ss')and then Oracle should use your PK index.

    Actually I'd say that idx1 is not needed at all, because the PK will prevent more than one row with the same combination of lotid, step_begin_time so the additionally indexed column in idx1 does not give you any benefits (if that index is used, that a hit will always return a single row, no need to limit that result further by looking at the additional columns.
    Did you ever check whether that index (idx1) was used?

  • Premiere CS6 Indexing and Pending Problems - HELP!

    Gentlemen,
    Any help you can offer on this would be terrific.
    The problem is.....I have begun editing a feature in CS5, we set up a different project for each scene, 48 in total. Then upgraded to CS6.
    When I open the projects in CS6, some of them work fine. However, most of them don't, and they have the same problems, which are;
    1. All the media doesn't load. The status bar in the bottom left tells me there is xx "Remaining" (See Pic)
    2. The files don't index. Above the project window the message "Items to Index XX" appears.
    However, when I save one of these incomplete projects in CS6 and then open it in CS5, there are no problems. My scratch disks for 5 and 6 are the same.
    I've searched and searched and this appears to be a common fault, but I can't find a solution that works for me. I've tried the following;
    1. Uninstalling and re installing Premiere
    2. Updating to 6.0.3
    3. Cleaning media Cache
    4. Replacing the missing files and then reloading
    5. Temporarily removing all the preview files
    6. Leaving a project open for 16 hours to see if it slowly indexes
    None of this works. If anyone has the answer I would be very gratefull, I don't really want to restart 48 projects and I don't really want to go back to CS5, as CS6 is much better for the Matrox system.
    I'm using MXF footage, from P2, 720p. I have noticed that this problem doesn't occur with projects that use other footage types.
    My system is.....
    Windows 7 Pro 64bit
    8gb Ram

    I am working with Eclipse 3.4.1 and got several plugins like
    Flex installed. My OS is Windows XP.
    The latest I included is
    Adobe's Cocomo
    Framework. There is a separate post about

    to install the Adobe Flash Collaboration Service.
    I wonder how i can force the help indexing service of Eclipse
    to include the docs folder of my Cocomo package.
    Maybe it is located in the wrong folder: Windows: C:\Program
    Files\eclipse341\plugins\com.adobe.afcs\docs
    I saw the indexing service once running in the progress panel
    of Eclipse but I do not know how to start it manually or even how
    to tell it to index Cocomo docs.
    There is also a file located in C:\Program
    Files\eclipse341\configuration\org.eclipse.help.base\index\en_US\indexed_docs
    but it is generated and should not be edited manually.
    Hope somebody got ideas.
