Indexing document failed. HTTP-Proxy: ServiceUnavailable (Errorcode 13503)

Hi friends,
I am able to create an index but it is showing red in trex monitor->display queue. It says preparation failed 6 and also To be transmited 5.When i see the log file it says "Indexing document failed. HTTP-Proxy: ServiceUnavailable (Errorcode 13503)".
I had created one index perviously it was showing in the search result but its queue status was red also.but now any more index result is not showing in the search result.I cannot understand why it is happening has i have performed all the post installation steps including the setting of bypass proxy server address in portal services.
Thanks

Hi,
Yes indexing has worked for a word document. But when i put the folder containing number of documents as data source then in display queue status of trex monitor it shows a red status with "processing failed"(equal to the number of documents inside the folder). In the log message i see the error message"Indexing document failed. HTTP-Proxy: ServiceUnavailable (Errorcode 13503)".After some Hours when i stop the index in trex monitor as nothing was happening. When i search the folder(in search command box) with the name it is showing the folder as it is containing the document. But when i try to search the documents as string with * at the end by name then there is no result.
I think as indexing of the documents was not done so documents could not be searched but how come i see the folder containning the document when i but the folder name in the search request.
thanks

    Hi,
I've configured HTTP Proxy exactly like MS-IE. Anyway, sql developer fails to access web. This is the error message:

    I'm using sql developer 1.0.0.14.22.
    Martin

Given that the update centre worked for me with proxy authentication in v1422 (and Production v1467 - I would recommend that you upgrade to this with a full download if you can't sort out your proxy issues), I would assume that it is not a SQL Developer bug.
Are you still getting HTTP 407 errors when you have entered your username and password?
Unfortunately, I don't know what username/password expectations a RADIUS based proxy authentication would expect. The only thing I can suggest to try is to explicitly put your username/password in your MS-IE proxy setup and see if you can still access the http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=38606:2 URL through IE. If this fails through IE, the username/password that you are supplying are not what the proxy is expecting.

  • WWSAPI - Cannot connect to web service via SSL and HTTP proxy authentication with NTLM, errorCode 0x803d0016, HTTP status 407

    Hi,
I built a web service client using WWSAPI. The connection works via SSL (without HTTP proxy) and it works with SSL and proxy with basic authentication as well. When I try to connect using a proxy with NTLM authentication, then I get the errorCode
0x803d0016, HTTP status "407 (0x197)", "Proxy Authentication Required".
In WireShark I see only one HTTP request to connect to the proxy with NTLM Message Type: NTLMSSP_NEGOTIATE. The HTTP Response returns Status 407 and the connection ist closed. Comparing this to Internet Explorer - the Connection is not closed and
a second request with NTLMSSP_AUTH is sent.
Why doesn't it make the complete NTLM handshake? Why wasn't sent the NTLMSSP_AUTH directly?
    I oriented in the HttpCalculatorWithKerberosOverSslClientExample.
    Using WS_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_SECURITY_BINDING,
    WS_SECURITY_BINDING_PROPERTY_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_SCHEME was set to WS_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_SCHEME_NTLM, WS_SECURITY_BINDING_PROPERTY_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_TARGET to WS_HTTP_HEADER_AUTH_TARGET_PROXY. I tried WS_DEFAULT_WINDOWS_INTEGRATED_AUTH_CREDENTIAL_TYPE but also WS_STRING_WINDOWS_INTEGRATED_AUTH_CREDENTIAL_TYPE.
    Any idea?

  • HTTP-Proxy: ProxyAuthenticationRequired

    Hello,
When I try to index documents in KM I get the following error
    Return code : 13407
    Return msg : HTTP-Proxy: ProxyAuthenticationRequired
    Document Status: Preparation failed.
I have bypassed proxy for TREX in the Http Proxy service.
Any idea how to resolve this?
    Regards,
    Rukmani

    Hello Rukmani,
did you specify the proxy in the TREXPreprocessor.ini file? If yes, you need to add the local domain (without *) into the proxyrules section (same file) , restart TREXPreprocessor and reindex documents.

  • Osb cluster- HTTP proxy service 404 error

    Hi All,
I have a cluster set up with 2 managed servers. I crated a Any SOAP proxy from sbconsole to test If I can reach managed server form an external service. I do not have front load balancer set yet.
    osb server1: rdoelapp001011:61703
    osb:server2:rdoelapp001013:61703
    admin server : rdoelapp001011:61701
when I am trying to access http proxy using any of osb server host and port I am getting 404 error ( From the admin console I could see all the servers are running)
surprisingly I am getting success (200) when I am using admin server host and port.
That means the proxy is not got deployed to the managed server, it deployed to admin server
I looked into few weblogic/OSB document, I could not see anything specific regarding deploying HTTP proxy to osb servers in a cluster
How would I make sure to deploy to the cluster not to admin server
I also tried creating a file poller proxy to see if I get "Managed server" option to set. But I do not see that option here.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

According to your suggestion, I created a domain from scratch using config wizard with a cluster with two managed server
I started admin server then started managed server
I do not have any JMS stuff created/configured yet
while starting up managed OSB server I am getting below error. I think it is related JMS reporting stuff. In my scenario we do not need any reporting feature.
How would I disable it? while creating domain I did not select the ckeckbox for reporting. Then where did it come from?
    Please suggest.

  • TREX does not index documents

Now this one is a bit strange. We have created an index on a file system repository that contains a number of different types of files including plain text, MS-Word, Excel and Acrobat PDFs. The queue now has a red status showing a sizeable number of documents failed the preparation, but a few are ready to be transmitted.
We found that none of the MS-Word, Excel and Acrobat documents passed the preparation stage. Anything that passes preparation is either a directory or a plain text file, though this is not consistent either since a number of files that did not pass preparation where als plain text files.
What gives? Am I missing something here? Any hints would be very much appreciated.

    Hello Wolfgang,
we faced exactly the same problem. To be more precisely, documents with more than 10kb were not indexed. The reason for this is, that doc´s smaller than 10kb are automatically transmitted to TREX by the crawler. For documents bigger than 10kb the crawlers only transmit the URI and then the TREX fetches them by itself.
The URL´s that are sent to TREX are normally built by the URL generator using the host entry. If you have a clustered landscape this might not work, because the Firewall, Load-Balancers, WebServers, or external authentication Systems might cause problems when they are directly called by TREX via the normal portal URL.
In this case you must specify the name of a specific server (e.g. http://server.com:50000) as Alternative Host in the URL Generator Service. But be careful with that setting. A wrong setting might crash your system (happened on our productive layer unfortunately).
If you use SSL for the communication between TREX and portal it even gets more complicated. Fortunately I did not have to deal with that.
Thus, if you have clustered system, be sure that the communication TREX to Portal can take place without problems. Take a look at the trace files of the TREX preprocessor, this should give you a hint on this.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards,
    Christopher Höfele

  • IndexmanagementService  XIndexing documents failed on PCDSearchIndex

    Hi,
I have an issue with and index created to search through the pcd. I have created an index as defined in the following link and have selected Portal Content in my index datasource.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/b2/d59a4271c80a31e10000000a1550b0/content.htm
When I click on reindex, I get the following error message:
Operation failed Method not supported on PCDSearchIndex.
If I open the Application Log, I get the following error message every minute.
IndexmanagementService  XIndexing documents failed. Method not supported on PCDSearchIndex. Continue crawling...
Anyone has an idea on how to fix this issue?
    Thanks
    Renaud

    Hi Renaud,
no need to fix here, just don't try to reindex manually
PCD Index function is completely different than other indexes in CM / TREX.
See also your referenced docu page: 'A schedule for automatic indexing is not required.'
Background: PCD search index perform a search against the user's role content.
When a user logs into portal, the content of the user roles is completely loaded into the PCD cache and kept in memory. Thus performing a search is very fast as it happens in memory (no need to load content from DB or filesystem).
So you'd better not try to index or crawl the PCD repoitory. Those methods are
not supported and implemented - as stated in the log.

  • How to configure https connection using a http proxy in weblogic server

    Hi,
I have a proxy in Aqualogic Service Bus that points to a https external service. Our development environment internet access is supported by a http proxy server. The ALSB proxy fails to connect, with the following error message:

    <con:path>request-pipeline</con:path>
    </con:location>
    </con:fault>
I've added the following parameters to jvm args:
    -Dhttp.proxyHost=10.128.0.50
    -Dhttp.proxyPort=3126
    -Dhttp.proxyUser=<someUserName>
    -Dhttp.proxyPassword=<somePassword>
Accessing the page in Internet Explorer or Firefox is working fine. Somebody knows any additional configuration to this case?
    Thanks in advance
    Rogério Cruz

In osb you can configure a HTTP proxy server. Once this is done all BS http/https requests will be through the configured proxy server.

  • [Oracle Text]How to register additional datas when indexing documents ?

    Hello,
For the moment we index documents (Word, excel, pdf, ppt, html, xml...) from the filesystem and it works well.
Now, we need to attach some informations on each documents and we must be able to search on these attributes, for instance :
We can index a Word document and we would like some additionnal index informations like :
    YEAR
    SIZE
    NUMBER
These informations are stored in a table, the table contains also the path to the documents on the filesystem.
We are able to query a text on the index mixed with a filter on the columns above.
We tought with the solution to store these informations directly in the index, but we don't know if it's a good solution (in term of speed, structure...)
So, Is there any solution to index the documents on the filesystem with extra information at index time ?
Is it possible ? How can we do that ?
What do you think about that ?
    Thanks by advance

    1. If you're using 12c, you can use ctx_doc.policy_languages. (https://docs.oracle.com/database/121/CCREF/cdocpkg011.htm#CCREF24102)
    2. If you want multiple stoplists based on each document's language, you have to use the multi-lexer. For world_lexer, there is one stoplist; since the stoplists are somewhat dynamic (you can add but not remove them), the most accurate way to fetch the list is using ctx_report.describe_index or ctx_report.create_index_script and parse the report.

  • Sending files via File Adapter through FTP having a HTTP proxy as firewall

    Dear  experts,
I am having a issue trying to send a file via FTP with the File Adapter. My client has a HTTP proxy with authentification required as firewall  in order to send files via FTP.
I've tried several solutions but I cannot find a way to add the proxy name, user and password in the communication channel.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.
    Best Regards

    Hi,
Unfortunately those changes didn't work. The adapter is not able to establish a connection within the FTP server. These are the parameters I added:
    -Dhttp.proxy.user=<usename>
    -Dhttp.proxy.password=<userpassword>
    -Dhttp.proxyHost=<proxy.domain...>
    -Dhttp.proxyPort=80
    -Dhttp.nonProxyHost="*domain1.com domain2com"
    -Dhttps.proxy.user=<usename>
    -Dhttps.proxy.password=<userpassword>
    -Dhttps.proxyHost=<proxy.domain...>
    -Dhttps.proxyPort=80
    -Dhttps.nonProxyHost="*domain1.com domain2com"
And just in case, we tried with these other parameters at the same time.
    -Dftp.proxy.user=<usename>
    -Dftp.proxy.password=<userpassword>
    -Dftp.proxyHost=<proxy.domain...>
    -Ddftp.proxyPort=80
    -Dftp.nonProxyHost="*domain1.com domain2com"
The errors in the adapter engine's log are:
Error MP: Exception caught with cause com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: Error when getting an FTP connection from connection pool: com.sap.aii.af.service.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: ConnectException: Socket connection timed out: <ftp ip address>

By the way, we are using  PI 7.0.
    Thanks in advance

  • HTTP Proxy setting for SOA server

    Hi,
my intention is to enable SOA Server to connect through HTTP Proxy to external services. This occurred when I am trying to connect to Yahoo Mail Server, via User Messaging Service but it keep throwing connection time out. One of the possible solution is to make the service to connect via the HTTP Proxy server in our network.
There are no mention of how to setup HTTP Proxy connection for UMS, as well as SOA Server in any documents.
Please advice or direct me to the relevant solutions.
    Appreciate any help rendered :)
    yee thian

I have not worked in SoA server, but since it uses weblogic server underlying (I assume), you can try setting the -Dhttp.proxyHost , -Dhttp.proxyPort system properties ( https for secured URL's) to WLS to specify the proxy details. Also the product might not have the capability to pass user credentials for authentication at the proxy. The version of OSB we are using had this problem. To overcome this you might require to add the URL to the proxy free list in your proxy server. This prevents the proxy from prompting for the user name when you access that URL.

  • Flex4 Zend AMF error - NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP

    Hi,
I'm working with FLEX 4 (developing in flash builder 4 plugins for eclipse) and PHP Zend Framework v 1.9.
When I run the application from the flash builder the AMF comunication work fine, but when I try to run directly from URL in a browser I got the following error:
    Send failed
    Channel.Connect.Failed error NetConnection.Call.Failed: HTTP: Failed: url: 'http://localhost/Project-debug/gateway.php'
I think that I get this error since I have update my flash builder plugin.... previos version of my .swf project didn't give my this issue.
Somebody can help me? I don't realy have any idea how to solve this problem.
    P.S.
I don't have services-config.xml file in my project cause the amf zend samples that I followed don't say to create it, somebody knows why flex 4 doesn't need it?
    Thanks

The MessageBroker servlet is not installed properly. The context-root of the two Tomcat LC DS installs must be different. Test hitting the context-root Flex_App on both machines (http://hostIP:8080/Flex_App). If the context-root is valid you will hit the index.html page of the valid context-root which looks like this...

  • Spatial query index creation fails with ORA-13282: failure on initializatio

    Hi,
I have an Oracle 10g 10.2.0.5.0 database newly installed. Spatial index creation fails:
ORA-29855: error occurred in the execution of ODCIINDEXCREATE routine
ORA-13282: failure on initialization of coordinate transformation
    ORA-06512: at "MDSYS.SDO_INDEX_METHOD_10I", line 10
The script I am trying to run is:
    Insert into USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA
    (TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME, DIMINFO, SRID)
    Values
    ('SOME_TABLE', 'geo',
    "SDO_DIM_ARRAY"(
    "SDO_DIM_ELEMENT"('X',600000,900000,0.001),
    "SDO_DIM_ELEMENT"('Y',150000,400000,0.001)), 23700);
    CREATE INDEX IX_GEO_SOME_TABLE ON SOME_TABLE (GEO) INDEXTYPE IS MDSYS.SPATIAL_INDEX ;
Earlier I had some issues with NLS settings in relation to Spatial, but in this particular case setting the NLS_LANG for AMERICAN_AMERICA does not help. I found this comment http://www.orafaq.com/forum/t/127312/2/ but would not like to hack around with MDSYS table content. Any help is highly appreciated.
    Regards, Tamas

    Tamas,
1 . . .Are you indexing a table that already has geometries or an empty table?
. . . .If the former, do all the geometries in that table have the same (not NULL) SRID (23700)?
2 . .The link you posted suggests a parsing problem since in Hungarian (23700), the decimal seperator is a comma (not a period). Accordingly, I believe the edit to mdsys.sdo_cs_srs.WKTEXT would be:
PROJCS["HD72 / EOV", GEOGCS [ "HD72", DATUM ["Hungarian Datum 1972 (EPSG ID 6237)", SPHEROID ["GRS 1967 (EPSG ID 7036)", 6378160, 298,247167427]], PRIMEM [ "Greenwich", 0,000000 ], UNIT ["Decimal Degree", 0,01745329251994328]], PROJECTION ["Egyseges Orszagos Vetuleti (EPSG OP 19931)"], UNIT ["Meter", 1]]
