Individual/Collective Requirement indicator in MTS

Hi Gurus,
Can you please let me know what is the relevence of individual/Colelctive Requirement indicator from MRP4 view of material..
for Finished product as well as its sub assembliees in case of make to Stock planing strategies.
i know how it works in MTO and how depednent requirements can be grouped together or sepated based on this indicator.
When i tested the same in case of MTS, i found for dfinished product as well as sub assemblies behaviour is always like collective irrespective of MRP4 indicator.
any thougts lets me know.

Dear Santhosh,
MRP-4 as 1 : In individual planning, this indicator is used to display the dependent requirements of a component separately.
MRP-4 as 2 : In collective requirements, this indicator is used to display the dependent requirements of a component grouped together.
This Indicator is useful to control the planning of dependent requirements if the main product is being planned with strategy 20 ie; MTO Process.

  • Material Master MRP4 Individual / Collective Requirement

    Hi All,
I would like to ask in case I want to use the Individual / Collective Requirement functionality in Material Master MRP4 view, is it a MUST to set the Strategy Group in MRP3 view to 20 : Make-To-Order Production? Because I find if I dun set this field, nothing happens after I execute MD01 for the MRP Run.
Another query is in case the Stock Requirement is on two different dates, can I still group them together into one Plan Order or one Purchase Requisition using the selection - 2. Collective Requirement selection?
    Many Thanks.

Yes Individual / Collective indicator only works for MTO strategies.

You can but if the dates are different you have to use Periodic Lot Size.like PK.and all requirements within one period will be grouped together and they will be planned together.

  • Individual/Collective Requirements MRP4 View

I have a situation where my top level material (FERT) is a MTS item (reorder point planning).  In the BOM is an intermediate (HALB).  Due to the nature of my process I must have a 1:1 relation ship of the HALB to the FERT.  However: as many have pointed out, where I have multiple production orders for the FERT, the MRP behavior is to combine multiple order reservations for the HALB into one planned order, regardless of the individual/collective requirement setting.  There must be a way to get a planned order for each order reservation in this MTS situation.  I know that I am not the only one who has this requirement.  Any advice/expertise would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

    Mgf,
I believe expert Sundaresan has answered your question - for Baseline SAP.
In addition to Baseline, though, SAP offers several addons that are industry specific, and some of them appear to me to be tailored to industries in which Milliken is a participant.
Check out the standard industry addons in

  • Both Individual & Collective requirement for Same material

    Hi,
Is it possible to have a component as,
dependent requirement in one B.o.M as individual requirement & in another  B.o.M as collective requirement.
Suppose we have 2 Production version
    Bill of material 1
    FG (Make to Order)
    SFG2 (Individual planned order)
    Other version is
    Bill of material 2
    FG (Make to Order)
    SFG1 (Individual planned orders)
    SFG2 (Collective planned order)
Is it possible to have SFG2 as Individual as well as collective requirement, based on B.o.M so that if version one is selected then all individual planned order need to be generated  with reference of sales order& if version 2 selection then a collective planned order to be generated without reference of sales order..
& In B.O.M Item data how Explosion type can be useful in these scenario.

    Hello
As far as I know, this setting is only available at the material master and it is not possible to change is at BOM level.
You can try to use BAdI MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA to control if the requiremens are assigned to the individual stock or not, from an MRP perspective. Please observer that this BAdI does not change data on the table.
However, BAdI WORKORDER_UPDATE can be used later to remove the assignment to the invidual stock from the production order components.

  • Individual Collective indicator

    Hi
Is there any report abt Individual collective indicator
I need a report regarding  the requirements created on each date for the collective requirement of the material
I have maintained collective indicator for the material
    Regards
    Anand Srinivasan

    Dear Anand,
There's no standard report regarding  the individual/Collective Requirements.
But still if you want the list of materials with 1 - Individual Requirements only or 2 - Collective Requirements
only, you can get it from the table MARC in T code SE16.
Regarding your second part of question i'm sure whether you are l;ooking for this,
If you want the total Requirements for those materials, then go to T code MD73 - give the Requirements
Plan as * and enter the plant and the date range and proceed.

  • Individual / collective indicator in MRP 4

What is the use of this indicator and when to use individual and colloective option ?

    Hi,
If you maintain Individual requirement seeting in MRP 4 view , always a PR or Planned order is generated aginst the WBS element based on Procurement type setting ( E or F). If a PR is genearated, and is converted to PO and when we do GR of the item , for a valuated stock , Stock and price will be in project stock not in actual cost. ( can see report in T-code GR55. Report Z6P2.)
If you maintain collective requirement seeting. Always a reservation is created against the network activity. Once the item is issued against the reservation , cost is debited from the activity and item is consumed. No stock.  Cost will booked to actual cost.
Can check the same by testing with same material ....
first have seeting as a Individual requirement. Genrate PR , convert to PO , do GR and check MMBE (stock report) and GR55 cost reprot.
next time same material , change setting to collective requirements, Reservation is created , DO GI against that resevation. Check MMBE ( No stock should be there ) , Check GR55 cost should be booked in actual cost.
No change in costs. Only change in the flow of qnty and cost.
    Thanks
    Saikishore Ganga
P.S : Kindly confirm as soon as you try this.

  • Printing Indicator (Individual/Collective Slip) at Display MIGO GR document

    Hi, Good Morning...
FYI , I 've been check Collective slip indicator when prepare GR document. Once after press CHECK  and POST button, system will generate document GR number. Then I just want to display the document again. When system prompt out, we discovered there is not in collective slip indicator status but it become individual slip. Any Other suggestions?

The system is default to pick the individual slip. Are you getting the print from MB90. If yes, then you dont need to worry on this one. On some systems I have seen all 3 options, mapped as collective slip for convenience of users, so that whatever they choose, it doesnot effect the print. Only main thing here is to get the Print active check enabled. If not the print will not go to MB90.
Usually I make the Print check button mandatory, so that material document is not saved without this check.

  • What is the functionality of Bom explosion individual/collective  in MRP 4 View

Hi Experts. Please give idea about what is the use of functionality of BOM explosion Individual/collective in MRP view 4.How this function will work in strategy 10 and 20.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
This is a very generic question...If you explore in forum or net you will get lot of information...
This is normally used in make to order strategies like 20, 50 etc...
The individual/collective indicator in the material master record determines
whether a component is procured for a special customer requirement in the
    individual segment.
The indicator "1" for individual requirements means that the material is being
specially manufactured or procured for a sales order. A special individual segment
is created for each requirement. An individual requirement is only created if the
higher-level material does not create a collective requirement.
The indicator "2" for collective requirements means that the material is produced
or procured for various requirements. You can find these requirements in the net
    requirements segment.
The indicator "blank" means that the component is to be planned in the same way
    as the higher-level assembly.
In the above example, two individual segments are created for the shaft for sales
    orders A and B.
    Thanks
    Kumar

  • Individual/collective req ind

    Dear experts,
I'm using MTO. I have multilevel bom structure. I have faced a problem.
For example I have a material in level2 followed individually according to customer order. I want the level3 materials to be managed collectively. I'm setting all the materials collective indicator in 3rd level. But sometimes I forget to create the MRP view of the 3rd level material. Then the system plans the requirements of 3rd level according to 2nd level and as the 2nd level followed individully this 3rd level  material is also planned individually.
My question comes: Is there any way to define the system plan the materials always collectively if mrp view does not exist or if I don not set any indicator.

    Hi,
Yes you can set the collective/Indual indicator with out MRP view also..
In the BOM you can set..
In component details there got a Explosion type for this explosion type in the background setting set as collective requirement and assign the same in the BOM items.
    hope clear..
    Revert me if any issue
    Regards,
    Ravi

  • Individual/Collective in BOM With Phantoms

    Hello All
Iu2019m working with variant configuration using strategy group 65.
My BOM has several levels and the first level is always a phantom.
When exploding the BOM MRP create individual requirements for each component.
Because the components are used in other finish goods with different strategy I don´t want to set in the mater data the individual collective flag to 2. Instead I create e new explosion type in the BOM to create collective requirements.
My problem is that MRP bypasses this explosion type from the BOM when the component is phantom which forces me to enter it at the level of the no phantom component.
Is possible by any means force MRP to only create Collective Requirements for the Components of a MTO ?
Thereu2019s any chance to force SAP to Look to the explosion type in the phantoms and create only collective requirements?
    Thanks for your comments
    Pedro Coelho

    Dear
I do not think so it is possible  in Standrad MTO process .
In MTO process , you can not club all the Depedent  Requirement ( Phantom BOM -componenets ) in to one PR  utlising MRP4 individual and Collective Indicator .
Basically indiviaul /collective indicator MRP4 as 2 then  PRs or planned orders will be generated during the MRP run for dependent requirements with account assigned to respective WBSE or Sale order
Where as at header level it will work  like this  : Individual and collective indicator in mrp4 view
    Just check this

    Hi Sunil,
Yes it is possible to get one planned order if for that material master in MRP4 screen if you set indicator for Individual/coll. as 2-Collective requirements only then it is done also with this in MRP1 in Lot size also give lotsize keys Fix/weekly/Monthly
    Hope this will help you.

  • Note 533276 - Setting the batch management requirement indicator

    Hi;
we have found an oss note for setting the batch management requirement
indicator.. but the program mentioned in oss note does't exist in the
attachement part.. we urgently need your help..
how can we find program RVBCONVMAT2BM?
Note 533276 - Setting the batch management requirement indicator
    Solution
Here, the standard procedure is to clear stocks of the current and the previous period as well as to complete the open documents. Note 30656 provides further information about this.
Alternatively, in the case of a large data or document volume, you can use a conversion report from the batch development that sets the batch management requirement indicator without the necessity of manual preliminary works such as the posting of the stocks or the completion of open documents.
We have developed the main features of this report, but it must be adjusted to individual business processes in a customer project that is subject to charges.
If you require further information about functions of this tool or about running such a customer project, you can send an e-mail to the consulting department ([email protected]).

    Hi,
You also need to check for open sales order, open production orders, open WM transfer orders and open deliveries. These documents needs to be closed/completed.
Check OSS notes 533276 - Setting the batch management requirement indicator.
    Following is the details of this notes;
    Summary
    Symptom
The attempt to set the batch management requirement indicator for a
material in the material master record maintenance fails because there are
stocks or documents that are not completed such as production orders, sales

  • Batch management requirement indicator

    Dear experts,
Due to an error during test-conversion, I have a number of materials that should have gotten the Batch management requirement indicator. At this moment the system does not allow me to change this indicator, because it detects stockpostings.
Since it is an inactive client I have the possibility to change whatever is needed, so I removed the stock. But apparantly this is not enough.
Does anyone know a way to enforce the Batch management requirement indicator?
    Thanks for your help!

  • Individual customer requirements and sales order requirements

    Hello Gurus,
Can anybody please explain me the difference between individual customer requirements and sales order requirements.
    Please clarify
    Thanks,
    Nilesh

    Hi,
    *Individual Customer Requirement *
Generally this is the material is produced against a Sales order,
They will have the Stock Categroy as E as special Stock.
They can be consumed only by the Relevant Sales order.
Mostly in Case of the MTO this is applicable.
    Sales order Requirement.
    This is again Sales requirements.
But it can consume any stock,
the material is not produced against any specific sales order ,
This is mostly in the MTS Scenario.
Kindly let me know your feedback.

    Hi Experts,
I want to know what is the use of Acknowledgement required indicator in me31k. If we select that in what way the business procress work.
    Thanks,

it is based on your customizing for confirmation control whether you allow a receipt despite a missing confirmation or not.
And reminders can be used to remind your vendor to send an acknowledgement, which is as well based on  customizing, especially setting up the message determination for reminders and designing the form.
