Individual email notifications

I just got the new iPhone 4S and tring to set it up. Is there a way that a special email account can have a special notification that work at all times, ie when the phone is silenced.  I have my answering service going to a special email account and I need to ring a notification at all times. Is there an app that does this??????

  • Email notifications and load balancing

    We are load balancing 2 OMS's. The problem is email notifications have embedded links that have the OMS that sent the notification instead of the virtual hostname set-up for the load balancer. The OMS's have been set-up to use the load balancer per the OEM Advanced Configuration and from an agent/Web console perspective, everything is working fine and using the load balanced hostname. Does anyone know where to modify the email notifications so the links point to the load balanced URL rather then the individual OMS host that sent the notification?

    Thanks, but I was actually asking about the links that OEM has in the email content sent out as part of a notification. (So you can click the link in the notification and it takes you to the appropriate spot in the Grid console). I've since heard from Oracle support that modifying these embedded links to use the load balanced hostname (rather than the individual OMS hostname) is not possible and is something they say they're working on for 11g.

    Click on the Profile link in the top right under the search box. Now click on the "My Account" link also in the top right to bring up the User Preferences page. Select "My Watches" to list all threads that you are notified of replies for. If there is anything listed there, select them by clicking in the check-box, then click on the "X" icon to remove them.
    Edit: They don't appear to be listed there anymore. You can cancel them individually. On a thread that you receive notifications on, there is a link on the right hand side to stop receiving notifications for that thread.

  • System monitoring - alert email notification

    I already set up system monitoring in our Solution Manager but i would like to receive mail if any alert occur.  Unfortunatelly I did not find any way how to do it through Solution Manager. I guess there must be something like edit -> Automatic email transmission where I set up sending Earlywatch and SL reports to my mailbox, but how to set up alert email notification?
    I also tried another way - setting up CEN (in our sollution manager) in RZ20, there i created monitor where i have desired alerts from all remote systems configured in SMSY (i have not used sapccm4x or any other ccms agent), also tried autoreaction method on local and it is working fine (SCOT is set up) but when i tried create and assign central autoreaction method (sapnote 429265) during assigning i receive error "no ccms agent avalable for system" and it is not working. Do I really need configure SAPCCM4X on all remote systems when i want to use central autoreaction? I dont feel very confortable with this solution. I think there must be some other smarter way (maybe in solution manager).
    We also tried to connect our RZ20 monitor set to nagios (used in our company to monitor non sap servers and email notification), but we are not able to compile the ccms nagios plugin uder 64bit. AIX 5.3.
    I also heard little bit about ALM (Alert management) but dont know anything about forwarding alerts from RZ20 to ALM and transmitting email from there. But I think this sollution would be the most difficult from all mentioned above.

      Somewhat chasing the point here - when you have the Solman and you look in your CCMS and you can see the other systems - it is all RFC data and not actually on the Solution Manager (the only local MTE's are those tha belong to the Solution Manager).  For the Solution Manager to Centrally Auto-React to threasholds (act as the CEN System), the information needs to be passed to the Central System through the agents.
      If you want to do email threasholds on your remote systems, you can configure it on each of the systems individually without agents as this is a CCMS Function that any SAP System can do - but this is not Central Auto-Reaction.  This is just actions taken on individual systems based on local MTE's.
      To Centrally Auto-React - you have to add the agents so the information is passed to the CEN to react on.
      I hope that this has clarified the situation a bit more.  If this answers your question, please set this thread to answered.

    I am new to workflow. I am creating a notification process in Oracle Apps 11i to send an email notification to users who registered for some training. Now how can I send an email notification to each user as the list of users can be huge i.e. > 200 . Do I need to loop through and send a notification to each user one by one or is there a way to achieve this by just sending one notification to all the users and if I send one notification to all the users how can I make sure when a user gets an email he/she don't see other users email addresses.

    It's a VARCHAR2 list of users, separated by a space or comma.
    Now before creating AdHocUser do I need to check in WF_USERS table if the user with the same email address is already there then don't create that user and just add it to a l_user_list.
    Yes - you will need to have a user record first before you can add them to the role.
    If adding user to l_user_list how to make sure I am adding the right user to send notification to as there may be some other user with same name but different email that I don't want to send notification to. I only want to create a AdHocUser only if name and email address both are not already in the WF_USERS. e.g. lets say if there is a user John Doe with email [email protected] who previously attended some training. Now comes another user John Doe with email id [email protected] and is attending the current training. How do I make sure notification only goes [email protected] as he registered for this training not to [email protected] who previously attended some other training.
    How do you identify which user has registered for training - you could check email address, or use the Apps user name which is unique. Whatever you are using to determine who is registering, you will need to determine what the link is back to the user record in WF_USERS.
    Now as this procedure runs every 24 hrs then everytime it runs do I need to create a new AdHocRole and what should I name it as it can't be hardcoded. As I only want to send an email to the users registered in the current training how do I make sure notification does not go to some other user with the same name with different email who is not registered in the current training.
    If the job runs once every 24 hours, then you could use the same role each time, and clear out the users in the role before repopulating them. If not, when you create the new role (which is what I would do) every time the job runs, then store the name of the role in an item attribute, and then reference that in the notification so that the new role is notified each time. Don't forget to set an expiration date for your ad-hoc roles, though, and run a purge job periodically to get rid of the old roles that are no longer required.
    Also wf_directory.CreateAdHocUser and create a user list should be in a loop and create an adhoc role and notification will be outside the loop.
    What are drawbacks of if in a loop I just create a AdHocUser and then send notification one by one to each user rather than creating a role and in the end send one notification. Basically if there are 200 hundred users loop runs 200 times and each time notification goes.
    If you notify each individual user, then you will have a large number of notifications that are being sent - extra records in the WF_NOTIFICATIONS table, extra records on the queue which the mailer uses etc. etc. If you notify a role, then there is only one record to process.
    If it were me, I would build an ad-hoc role each time, and populate that role with the correct users, and notify the role. I would NOT be sending 200 separate notifications when one would suffice.

  • Anyone having issue with email notification delay in ES4?

    After upgrade from ES2 to ES4, we're experiencing an email notification delay when a task is assigned to an individual or group queue. It's not consistent, but happen enough that we can some what replicate it. It's almost like an email notification from task assignment wouldn't send through until we kick off another process or claim another task. This happens with server default email notification as well as custom email notification. Please advise how I can go about trouble shooting this.

    This is what in the log at the time I ran the test process & email notification delay occured. Again, the email notification delay wasn't the issue when we were in ES2, until we upgraded to ES4 recently. The delay happens spontaneously, no specific pattern. Sometimes it'll arrive instantly and sometimes it will delay. However, when the notification delay occur, if I kick off another new process, the notification will come through.

  • 5800 email notifications

    Anybody else having the same problem -
    I download new email headers either automatically, or by connecting to my two mailboxes individually, the email notification on the home screen appears and won't go away - the flashing white button keeps going too - and won't go until I've downloaded and read / deleted every email.  I've tried switching off 'new email notifications' but all it does is stop the message coming up on the home screen - the icon still pops up and the button still flashes!
    It used to do this and then go away if I started and then cancelled downloading one of the emails - letting it know I'd got the message, but now won't go away until they're all downloaded and read, or after a reboot.

    Thank you, razmee209!  I must have checked everything 1,000,000 times, but when I just rechecked settings - notification - mail, I now see that Alerts -- both Show in Notification Center and Show on Lock Screen -- were turned off.  Can't believe I missed that, so THANK YOU!

    Is it possible for the email notification to carry a copy of the completed pdf form or excel s/s with the results.

    To Adobe Mods: I second the request to have the completed form attached to an email notification as PDF. Cuts out having to log in and manually covert & download PDFs for each response individually. (Properly formatted copies of all responses required for my purposes.)

  • SOA Email notifications

    Hi,
    I'm trying to send e-mail notifications using SOA, and so far have been able to successfully send them. However, i'm observing a very strange behaviour.
    For sending the notifications, I'm editing the content (body) of the notification to be sent to Assignee / Initiator / Owner etc. But whenever i see the notification, the content is not what i'm wanting to be sent.
    Instead it says *"Task XXXX requires your attention. Access this task in the Worklist Application"*.
    Also, to make it clear, following are the parameters that i've set inside my SOA composite:
    Inside General Tab:
    Task Status: Assign
    Recipient: Assignees
    Notification Header: Task <%/task:task/task:title%> is pending for your action. Kindly log into the system and take necessary action.
    Inside Advanced Tab:
    1. Make notifications secure (exclude details): Checked
    2. Show worklist/workspace URL in notifications: Unchecked
    3. Group notification configuration: Send individual emails (Use seperate task forms based on locale : Unchecked)
    As per my understanding, The content written under *"Notification Header"* is supposed to be displayed when the notification is sent, but in my case, a default message as mentioned above is displayed.
    Any help would be grateful.

  • EM 12c Email Notification Setup

    Hello,
    I've got EM 12c up and running.  I've got some notifications already setup.  They are for the database, critical/fatal/warning, that I set up through the incident manager.  Not sure if this was the right way to go about that but anyways it seems to be working.
    I'm trying to get it setup so I get notified if say the filesystem is running out of space, say if /u02 is 85% used to send an email.  If I go into Enterprise, Monitoring, Monitoring Templates. I've created a new template for the hosts, with all the metrics that I want monitored.  Now how do I get that to email me those alerts?  Is there a document I'm not seeing that will help me set this up?

    ETA:  I can go to the host homepage, and see that there metrics that I'm monitoring are alerting.  I just can't seem to figure out how to email based on those alerts.

    To answer your question, here are the high level steps:
    1) Setup your SMTP gateway.   However, if you are already getting email, then perhaps you've done this step already?
    For reference, here is the link to the doc for details:

    2) Set up your email addresses. 
    Under your username drop-down menu,  you should specify the email addresses to which  notifications should be sent.

    3) Set up rules (incident rule sets) that specify the metric alerts for which you want emails to be sent
    The rule sets were designed to provide a lot of flexibility in covering the different types of events that EM12c supports as well as the many types of notification requirements that many data center needs.
    Think of a 'metric alert'  as a type of event.  
    For your specific requirements (sending email for host metric alerts)  you can do this:
    3.1) Create a rule set and specify the targets for the rule.   In your case you can specify all targets of type 'host'  (if you want the email to be sent for all host targets' alerts) or choose the specific hosts you're interested in.   
    3.2) In the Rules tab,   create an event rule (this is the first option in the choice of rules to create).   When asked for a 'Type', choose 'metric alert' as the event type.   Then choose 'Specific events of type Metric Alert',   then choose the filesystem metric and other metrics for which you want notifications to be sent.
    3.3) In the Actions part of the rule, specify the EM user(s) in the 'Email to' field of the Notifications section.
    3.4) Save the rule
    This should get you up and running with email notifications. 
    However, I would also recommend looking into these other areas to optimize your use of EM12c monitoring:
    1)   If this notification requirement applies not to all hosts but a subset of host targets,  consider creating a group of those targets and specifying the group as the target of the rule set  (step #3.1 above).  Once you have a group, you can perform operations on the group instead of individual targets, makes it easier to manage later on.  As you add more targets to EM, if they need to be monitored in the same way as the other targets in the group,  then simply add the new target to the group,  the rule will automatically apply to the newly added target in the group without requiring changes to the rule.
    2) Use incident management features
    In EM12c, we introduce incident management as a way to focus and better manage the more important issues that impact your datacenter.   Hence when an important event comes in, consider creating an incident for it.  Once you  have an incident, you can leverage features such as specifying an incident owner,  setting its priority,  resolution status, etc.    Using Incident Manager will provide you in-context diagnostic links and access to MOS articles to  help further diagnose/resolve the event.

    3) Leverage other rule options
    The rule has an option to apply to all metric alerts of specified severities.   So  if you want to receive email for all critical and warning alerts for the host targets,  then instead of choosing the specific metrics, you can change the rule (step #3.2 above) and choose the option 'severity in critical, warning'  instead of choosing individual metrics.     If you do so,  then say later on you want to add thresholds to new metrics (which will generate metric alerts).  You won't have to change the rule to add in the new metrics since your rule already covers all metric alerts with critical and warning severities.  However, since it will cover all metric alerts for your chosen targets, you need to make sure that you have the appropriate thresholds for the metrics to avoid unwanted email notifications from unwanted alerts.
    The Incident Manager chapter that I referenced above has an Advanced Topics section that covers other scenarios.   If you have other monitoring requirements, you can take a look at that section to get ideas on how these can be implemented in Enterprise Manager.     Or you can reply back to this post if you have additional questions.

  • Invoking an EMail Notification service from another BPEL process(Service)

    Hi Everyone,
    I have a scenario, where i need to call my email notification service in to another bpel process(for FTPPut). Now i tried to use the email service in the FTP Put process, in the failure condition, the instance is in "Running" state forever. If i tried to run the email service individually its working fine. And if i observe the Audit Trail, i found the process went up to the client of the email service and then onwards its not able to initiate the email activity.
    I guess the way i provide the inputs,(to, subject and body) is making something difficult for the service to complete. I am sending the body and the subject inputs from the FTP put process and giving the to variable as default.
    As my email service is an one way operation, may be due to that even after I wait for long time the instance of the FTP process says running(in running) otherwise it would have thrown an timeout exception or something...
    Can any one shed your thoughts around this scenario...

    It really comes down to the proxy service on the OSB. Is it invoked by a WSDL? If so you should be able to take the endpoint defined in the proxy service messaging configuration and use that URL. You also need to use the sb transport type.

    Help!  How do I stop email notifications?  I have all notifications checked NO in my email preferences and my inbox keeps getting deluged with email notifications from Apple Support Communities.  How do I stop these?

    If you are getting them from a particular forum then if you see 'Stop email notifications' at the top right of the forum under 'Actions' then click it to turn it off so that it shows 'receive email notifications' instead.

  • Human Workflow email notification to a distribution list when assigned to an approval group

    Hi All,
    is there a way to send the notification email to an email distribution list when a task is assigned to an approval group instead of sending individuals emails to each member?
    As of now HW config is sending individual emails to each member of the approval group when the task is assigned to that approval group, for some approval groups (not all) they want the notification emails be sent to a distribution list, also we are using the actionable emails - so far it's working fine - the only thing is that the recipient of the actionable emails should be a dist list, is this even possible?

    From your description, some users that are not the dynamic distribution group members receive the messages that are sent to the dynamic distribution groups. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
    In your case, I recommend you use the following cmdlets to verify the members of this dynamic distribution group at first.
    $MarketingGroup = Get-DynamicDistributionGroup "Marketing Group"
    Get-Recipient -RecipientPreviewFilter $MarketingGroup.RecipientFilter -OrganizationalUnit $MarketingGroup.OrganizationalUnit

    Hi Amy,
    Correct, some users that should and are filtered out from the DDL are receiving the emails.
    I set the variable and ran the command you provided and got consistent results to the "filter preview" in EMC, the particular user that is filtered out in both membership preview method is still receiving these emails!
