Individual emails are deleted without my interference, and no longer be found. In one case I could restore the email with time-machine, in the other case there is no time machine backup for that time stamp.
How can this happen ? Is there a hadware problem or a virus ?

You don't need to get your domain name registrar to do this - you should easily be able to do it yourself.
Firstly, ensure that your domain name is entered into the Personal Domain name setting of your MobileMe account.
Go to your domain name registrar and then set up CNAME forwarding if they provide this and forward your domain name to web.me.com - this is all you need do - you don't need to fiddle with nameservers or anything else like that.
If they don't provide CNAME forwarding then you can use web forwarding instead.

Actually, it had to do with Comcast, not the iPad. The default for Comcast is IMAP, and that is based on the information they have available when the account goes into verification. It verifies an IMAP account, and since you have not migrated to the IMAP account, you were having problems. It isn't something anyone can fix, except you. It would not ask you at the beginning if you wanted IMAP or POP, it has to do with the mail provider's verification settings, which is a Comcast issue, but because they are providing IMAP now, it defaults to that. If you are still using POP, you have to force the mail app to get there, which is what I provided you the instructions for. Apple is not going to fix anything, because there is nothing for them to fix.
Either way, you got it fixed and that is all it takes. As a Comcast customer, I was aware of this, since I had migrated to IMAP already.

When setting up the email using Apple 'Mail' (version 8.2 (2070.6)) I do not get an option to set up my email as using POP. I can go to Outlook from Microsoft and I get a chance to set my mail up using POP, however I would prefer to use the Apple supplied 'Mail' email programme as I'm using Office 365 and may not want to continue the subscription sometime in the future.
Any advice on setting Mail to POP would be appreciated. A not so Happy Wombat.

I checked your account at the backend and found many transactions sent out.
In order to narrow down the issue and search we need to know the specific transaction detail for which you faced this issue.
1. Signers email address
2. Senders email address
3.Name of the document
4. Date it was sent.

HT3576 Old deleted emails are in my notifications center and There is no option to remove them.......I have over 100 in there and want them gone....

I have the same issue with my iPhone.....when I pull up the notification screen and type in a letter in the search column, it brings up some info plus over a hundred old emails that I have deleted on my iPad as well as my main computer......some of these are of a sensitive nature and private, yet just tapping on them brings up the entire email.......how can I remove or delete these? I've changed my settings to "do not include" but it hasn't helped.....

Emails data deleted without consent by apple

My entire iCloud emails from january until june 2014 have disappeared without me deleting them, i have contacted apple to get them to restore the emails but they have responded pathetically with an answer that they cannot restore the computers emails in the iCloud email account, i have asked them if i pay them a fee for the email service monthly i will be prepared to pay them for the service but they are not cooperating and now i have lost important business data and client information which has been transmitted through i cloud on a trust basis that i believed that by establishing my apple computers with a compatible apple email address the information and the security of being able to restore data on iCloud would be forthcoming, this has given me no confidence in the digital email system from a business perspective and is embarrassing to apple not to me

You seem to be confused about what iTunes can and cannot do. iTunes cannot erase your serial number.
Is this laptop a computer you have sync'd with in the past? If not, whose computer is it? Can you tell us why you hooked up your iPod to the computer?
Have you ever backed up to iCloud?
We need some more information about your situation before we can help.

Emails are deleted in my home mac when .....

I delete the email on my Iphone... still I can find it in the trash ( .mac )...... or the emails are marked as read when I've read them on my 3G iphone... I guess this happens after sync the mac with mobile me.....In principle a good idea but I would like to have it in a different way:
- push email to my iphone ... deal done !
- no consequence what I do with this email on my iphone concerning mobile me or my home mac
Anyone know if there is a possibility to change the settings according to this wish ?

If you are set to push, the e-mail is continuously sync'd betwen the server and all clients. If you delete a message on any of them, it will be deleted on all of them. That is the way it is supposed to work.
If you want to separately delete messages, you will have to use POP, which of course is not pushable.

Email simplification/deletion on iphone/ipad and organization on PC

I found old discussions related to deleting email/gmail messages from my iphone but not on my PC. However, it is now 2014 and I have ios 7.0.6.
IS there new and/or easier to understand information?

I followed instructions from one discussion and think I read afterward on another site that I may have deleted all messages from all devices and my pc (via IMAP?) Blah!! I have set my iphone to delete those email messages to "trash" on iphone and pc and so can check for lost important messages on my pc and re-organize, but I hope I don't have to!   And I hope that setting trash to be "removed" from oanother of my mail boxes (perhaps not IMAP?) after one day does NOT mean that deleted messages will also be removed from my PC after one day.

Why did ALL undeleted email nicely organized into pc folders on my pc get from my pc to my phone?
Again, Via IMAP I'm guessing? What a mess! Especially if I lose important messages nicely sorted on my pc because I tried to follow instructions to make them go away on my iphone -- and especially if I can't find a way to only keep most current mail on my phone and ipad and use my pc to organize mail I want kept on my pc but not kept on my iphone/ipad.

Ditto. As of some time last night (16 Sep 2014), outgoing email on my iPod Touch (1G!) ceased working (though fortunately I can still receive messages). Also on my iMac when I checked this morning, the wheel just spins endlessly for the smtp mac mail outgoing server (as shown on connection doctor). Fortunately I can still receive incoming mail. Also ditto when I log onto iCloud via web - all works fine including sending myself a message.

My messages dissapear from the inbox of my ipad, without my asking to delet them. Why?

This is also happening to me on my iPhone 4 (along with a very frustrating static-y headphone problem).
I'll see the e-mail come in, I can read the preview text before opening it but when I touch it to open, another e-mail opens and the one I'm trying to read has disappeared. Nowhere to be found, not even in the deleted files folder.
I don't have any other devices connected/synced that would be deleting it nor do I have the 200 max emails in the inbox as Robato suggested. even if I did, based upon Robato's information, the new e-mail would not be disappearing...

Hi, recently my iPhone 5 has been asking me to create more storage and I noticed that 4GB of the space being used was on mail. I have 2 accounts a GMail and a POP3 - All of them are regularly deleted so there shouldn't be any real impact on storage - Can anybody help as to why the device is still saying I'm using that much on mail?

I'm running into the same issue (on both my iphone's).
The one that is hit worst has 5,2 Gb wordt of storage for mail and no accounts in there (anymore).
How can we recouperate this space without doing a reset?
