Industry Hygiene and safety data

Hi,
I want to retrieve the value of the function that is stored in the following path:
- Run transaction CBIH02/CBIH03.
- Enter any Work Area and press enter.
- Click on the Industry Hygiene and safety data tab on the application toolbar.
- A new window opens, there in the subscreen there are certain fields.
I want to retrieve the value stored in that field.
Help on this is appreciated.

Hi,
Thanks for viewing the thread.
This is solved now.
Function CBIH_LB10_WKA_WAIHIOT_READ comes handy in this case.

  • Manager says he needs an SAP Environmental, Health, and Safety Person

What are the buzz words for this module?
It is completely new to me and I don't know where to begin
    annak

    Hi Anna,
SAP EH&S consists basically of 5 different modules:
    - Product Safety
    - Hazardous Substance Management
    - Dangerous Goods Management
    - Waste Management
    - Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene and Safety
A good starting point should be the SAP Online Documentation: <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/a5/3adda043be11d188fe0000e8322f96/frameset.htm">http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/a5/3adda043be11d188fe0000e8322f96/frameset.htm</a>
All modules are using a specification database where you can store data based on classes and characteristics in SAP's class system as well as compositions, identifier, material assignments, usages, ...
Based on the data you can do calculations with rulesets. For example based on a certain environmental regulation that tells you: <i>if your product contains xx% of this substance you have to label it as toxic</i>. Then you can generate Material Safety Data Sheets for your products or other relevant documents (depending on the module) and ship them to your customers.
    Hope it helps,
    Andreas

    1. I upgrade the component EA-APPL up to its last version, as suggested by the note 1375848 "EH & S classes and Characteristics".
    2. I applied the note number 1146700 - "Transferring the standard database structureu201D, I applied the first method "IMG activity "Adopt Standard Specification Database Structure." But the error persist.

  • Diff B/W master data and transaction data

    Hi all,
What is the main Diff B/W master data and transaction data.  give me some example ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Krish...

    hi krish,
MASTER Data is the data that exists in the organization like employee details, material master, customer master, vendor master etc. These are generally created once.
Master data are distributed throughout the company, they are often not standardised and often redundant. As a result it is very costly to offer efficient customer service, keep track of supply chains and make strategic decisions. With SAP Master Data Management (SAP MDM) these important business data from across the company can be brought together, harmonised and made accessible to all staff and business partners. As a key component of SAP NetWeaver, SAP MDM ensures data integrity via all IT systems.
Regardless of the industry, companies often work with different ERP and Legacy systems. The result: the business processes are based on information about customers, partners and products which is displayed in different ways in the systems. If the data are recorded manually, there are more inconsistencies: some data sets are entered several times, others cannot be retrieved by all divisions of the company.
As corporate applications are becoming increasingly complex and produce ever greater amounts of data, the problem is intensified further. Nevertheless, your employees must work with the inconsistent data and make decisions on this basis. The lack of standardised master data easily leads to wrong decisions, which restrict efficiency and threaten customer satisfaction and profitability.
In a word: in order to save costs and ensure your company’s success it is necessary to consolidate master data about customers, partners and products, make them available to all employees beyond system boundaries and use attributes valid company-wide for the purpose of description.
TRASNACTION Data - These are the business documents that you create using the master data - Purchase orders, sales orders etc

  • Report on current stock and safety stock

    Hi,
I want to have the report on current stock and safety stock.
In MC.9 it gives wrong safety stock. When I go to cross check the safety stock in material master & in MC.9 I see differences.
    Thanks,
    Kiran

You can user tcode MC.9 or MC.5 to know valuated stock available at given plant. Stock lying in Returns (MB52) will not be a part of this report as it non-valuated stock.
The stock in the accounting view of the material master considers stock at plant level including stock in Transit (Intra & Inter plant stock trasnfers) & special stock like stock issued to vendor , consigment stock etc which is valuated at plant level.
whereas and stock in the plant stock view of the material master does not consider such special stocks hence there will always difference in both veiws.
For Physical stock as on particular date you can consider MB5B report with radio button "Storage location/Batch Stock" wherein you will get Quantity issued & Qunatity received in those SLOC along with Opening stock & Closing stock for the specified period.
    use tcode
MBLB to know stock at vendor.
    MB54 - Consignment Stock.

  • Product View - Start and End dates

    Hi,
I have a material that is externally procured from a vendor to a location. In product view, I have few purchase requisitions. When i double click on it, it takes me to the details of PR. I am trying to understand what start and end dates of the PR are.
For some PRs, the start and end dates are same but for some there are is some times a day or two and even 3 in some cases.
I am wondering what makes the end date differ from start date.
There is a safety day's supply of 2.5 days
We have a transportation lane with transportation duration 23hrs.
Any of these play any role in the end date delay?

    Hi,
Thanks for the reply. The vendor and the receiving location have a transportation lane defined.
What do you mean by the  time duration that shows up in the T Lane corresponding to the inforecord?
    Here are the times I see in transportation Lane;
    Product Specific Transportation lane:
GR processing times (checked) : (No value defined) days
    Planning Horizon: 0 days
    Partner Horizon: 0 days
Horizon for Expctd receipts: 0 days
Horiz. Fut. Aval. Whse Stck: 0 days
Planned Delivery time:  (No value Defined)
    Means of Transport
    Tsp. duration: 23 hrs
    Bucket offset: 0.5
    Period factor: 0.5
    and no other times defined.
Are any of these effect the delay?
My ECC is EST and the timestream is EST. Should I change the product view (also my own data) to EST or UTC??
I have a product that has no delay between the start and end dates. The difference I see between the one that I am having problem (the start and end dates are apart ( I'm calling it bad one) by atleast a day) with and the one that has no delay(I'm calling this good one) between the start and end dates is the "Planned Delivery time.
The good one has 1 day and the bad one has nothing defined.
    Does this make any difference?
    Thanks.

  • Java and safety standards.

I'm posting this question here because real-time systems often require safety standards and no other forum seems to fit.
I'm writing an application that must be CENELEC compliant (SIL 2). Does anyone have any information on whether or not Java can be used for a SIL 2 application?
The application isn't real time but it must be 'safetied' because it is used to verify safety data.
Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, not my field, but have you checked if bouncycastle supports RSA? That's a free cryptography API.

  • Delta Enabled Business Content Extractors and Safety Intervals

Is there a transaction/table from where I can check the safety intervals of Business Content extractors for example 2LIS_13_VDITM.  If I created a Z copy of an extractor is there a way of changing this value? Thanks

There are two fundamentally different extractor types:
    1. Que, which is updated at time of transaction
    2. Delta based on incremental field on transaction
LIS extractors are type 1 and CO extractors and generic data sources are type 2.
Type 1 is more advanced as it handles the change directly. Type 1 handles complex data scenarios where type 2 is better for simple scenarios. Learn more i BW350

  • What is safty delta and safety interval

    Hello,
PLease tell me What is mean by Safety Delta and Safety Interval?

    Hi,
Safety interval should be set so that no document is missed – even if it was not stored in the DB table when the extraction took place.
Example for Determining Selection Intervals with a Generic Delta:
    1. If delta field is Date (Record Create Date or change date), then use Upper Limit of 1 day.
This will load Delta in BW as of yesterday. Leave Lower limit blank.
    2. If delta field is Time Stamp, then use Upper Limit of equal to 1800 Seconds (30 minutes).
This will load Delta in BW as of 30 minutes old. Leave Lower limit blank.
    3. If delta field is a Numeric Pointer i.e. generated record # like in GLPCA table, then use Lower Limit. Use count 10-100. Leave upper limit blank. If value 10 is used then last 10 records will be loaded again. If a record is created when load was running, those records may get lost.
To prevent this situation, lower limit can be used to backup the starting sequence number. This may result in some records being processed more than once; therefore, be sure this DataSources is only feeding an ODS Object

    Hello
    My laptop e45-b4200
I will return my laptop.Power part big noise sound
But ups request batterys msds( Material Safety Data Sheets document file)
    Help me plz
I need toshiba  PA5195U-1BRS (battery model number)   msds( Material Safety Data Sheets document file)
    My email : [email protected]

First of all, it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to provide information for an MSDS IF one is required for a product. This way the MSDS would be uniform for the product regardless of where you purchased it.
It is not the responsibility for each and every retailer of a product to test and determine the hazards for a specific product. You would then have the possibility of having differing MSDS's for a single product depending on where the purchase was made, possibly with conflicting information.
With that said, not all products will have an MSDS. I personally do not see a reason why an MSDS would be necessary for a cell phone. I have never seen one with any other piece of consumer electronics I have ever purchased. The fact an iPhone, for example, can be shipped directly from the manufacturing plant in China to an end user location in the US WITHOUT an MSDS in the package reinforces my suspicion about the need for an MSDS for a cell phone. The fact that HTC sent you elsewhere for an MSDS further leads me to believe that there is NOT one for you phone.
Are you sure the shipping agent didn't say you needed to provide an MSDS if there was one for the product?
Regardless, it can't hurt to call Verizon and ask.
