INFA 9.0.1 Domain creation error [Port number already in use]

Hi Experts,
I've installed INFA 9.0.1 HF2 recently on my Linux 64bit box and due to some configuration issue, I endup in uninstalling the same and deleted the complete installation folder.
Now I'm trying fresh INFA 9.0.1 HF2 install on the same Linux box, but getting the following port number error while creating domain.
"Node port number. This port is in use. Select another port number"
I tried with another port number also but all went in vain.
Anybody faced this situation before? Please help me to resolve this issue.

Actually I'm new to Linux environment.. so I'm not sure on remove/killing the port number which are already in use. Hence I tried with different port number, but I'm getting popup like below,
"The Command to create the domain failed
Select Ok to correct the domain information and try the command again.
Select Continue to continue the installation without creating the domain.
you can run the command again to create a domain after the installation."
I'm not sure whether we can create a domain successfully after the installation.
Please anybody help me to remove/kill the existing port number (6005) which I was using it before. so that I can use the same to create a domain during installation only.

    Hi,
    You're running startWebLogic.sh, so I'm assuming this is on a *nix platform.  Assuming that's the case, reboot your system (to make sure you have a clean start), then try running:
    netstat -an|grep 7001
    to see if there is something actually listening on port 7001.
    If you do find something that is already listening on port 7001, try doing:
    ps -ef | more
    and review the output from that, to see if you can try to figure out what might be listening on port 7001.

    Check whether introscope is already running. if it is then kill that process manually and start willy again.
    You use the following command to check whether any other program is using the same port
    netstat -an | grep -i listen | grep 80

    Are you in the US? If you are in the US, you don't need to call or text the full number unless it is a toll free number.
    You can just use the 10 digit number XXX-XXX-XXXX
    It seems the number is invalid so AT&T respond back saying that "at&t +1 (1) (216)116-11 error invalid number please resend using 10 digit mobile number"
    If you are using the right number and you know for sure it is a working number, try delete the number in question that you try to text to like call history or text history of that number and just delete it. Do not delete the number in your contacts though. Delete history pertaining to it in calls and text.
    Then try it again to text to the number.

    OBIEE 11g installing in Linux server now. domain creation is in progress for about an hour and in log I can see below error.
    Creating a new AdminServer Object ...
    AdminServer port is 7001
    Starting the domain ...
    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
    java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: PermGen space
    domain creation is still running and looks like it is struck to start domain no idea how to solve the issue. waiting to see whether domain creation successful.
    Please let me know how to fix this issue.

    Have you try to increase MaxPermSize, it may occure memory issue.
    change the Middleware/ORACLE_BI1/oui/oraparam.ini and fine it like below
    JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=" -mx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m" then try to change it
    JRE_MEMORY_OPTIONS=" -mx2048m -XX:MaxPermSize=2048m"
    (i.e:It will increase the numbers for allocating more memory) then save it and then try to run config.bat (software only/enterprise) method and configure it.

    You have the wrong Java version installed.  Do you already have another Forms version installed (like Forms 10g)?  I ask this because Java 1.4.2_06 installs with the Oracle Developer Suite 10g. For Fusion Middleware 11g (Forms 11g) you need to have Java 1.6 installed.  If you already have Java 1.6 installed, then you will need to modify your System PATH so that it lists Java 1.6 before Java 1.4.  The error you are getting, "stderr=[java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError" is because Java 1.4 doesn't support the method the installer is using.  Run the following command from a Command/Dos window:  "Java -version".  If it does not show Java 1.6.0_??, then your PATH is still not setup correctly or you don't have Java 1.6.0 installed.

  • WLS domain creation errors using new release (v5)

    I'm running into errors in Step 5 of the beta install. I've completely uninstalled the previous version of everything (including RCU drop/create) and done a clean install using the files on the beta site after the announcement of the new release was made this morning.
    It seems that the version string entries in "schema_version_registry" created by RCU differ. The "User Messaging", "OWSM MDS" and "SOA MDS" schemas all get created with version string "11.1.1.2.0" but "BAM" and "SOA Infrastructure" schemas are created with version "11.1.1.3.0". The WLS domain creation utility runs queries for ALL schemas having version "11.1.1.2.0", so the BAM and SOA Infrastructure schemas fail the test.
    Should I manually edit the version strings in schema_version_registry so they all match 11.1.1.2.0 or will this cause problems elsewhere?
    Here are the failing queries that the "Test Component Schema" screen is running for the WLS Domain creation step:

    OK, I cleaned out all the old files downloaded fresh and did a complete re-install - now I'm getting an error about a missing file.
    1. Installed WLS

    I checked and that file does not exist on the filesystem.     Hi,
    I need to query a view to show a list to the application user. First, I try to drag a database view into the Database schema diagram and choose 'Copy the objects to the project'. I get an error saying 'Name CODE is already in use.' The diagram already has four tables. One table has a field named 'CODE'. The database view I am trying to drag is reference the CODE field of that table
    I followed best practice by creating a DatabaseSchema, Model and ViewController projects for my ADF application. Please suggest, how should I go about it

    I already have reference_codes and organisations table as entity objects. My question is if I need to create a CAR_REFERENCE_CODES_V entity for the database view or base it on the existing entity objects (i.e. reference_codes and organisations).   • Error Invalid Number, re-send using a 10 digit number when texting a certain number, but when I put the area code in it still sends to the 7 digit number

    About a month ago I added a friends number without the area code. I was in an area that I couldn't send texts from.  Two days ago he texted me and I tried to reply, but when I did I got the error message "Error Invalid Number. Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number or valid short code."
    So, I put in the area code in front of the number and when I sent it, the phone dropped the area code and just sent it to the 7 digit number.  I went ahead and deleted all of his contact information and text messages to him and re-entered the with the area code and saved him as a new contact.  I tried to text the number and it still sent it to only the 7 digit number!!!
    I have tried everything there is to try, but there seems to be a part of the phone that is remembering this number even after I've deleted it and everything associated with it.
    Does anybody have a solution for this??  I have called Apple and they told me they have never heard of this problem before.

    When I start rmiregistry, I get the following exception:

  • HT3275 time machine error: sparsebundle is already in use...now what?

    Apparently, something happened on Jan 1 that stopped my time machine backups from happening. I get an error that sparsebundle is already in use and that's why it won't work. No idea what this means since I only use Time Capsule for these backups. I don't see any options that would help here in the Preferences section. Any suggestions?

  • Should (must )i give port number  Multicast / broadcast using JMF ?

    hi,
    i transmit jmf webcam usng RTP to unicast and multi-unicast ..
    now i would like to multicast .. and broadcast ..
    do i must give port number while multicast, broadcast ...
    i came to multicast to avoid give port number same in receive and transmit
    is there any way just transmit and receive webcam without giving port number ( multicat or broad cast or any other way)
    plz give exact difference between multicast and broad cast ..
    plzz...

    Broadcast is link level, so LAN level. You transmit to all others host in the subnet using the broadcast addrees of the subnet(lan).
    Multicast is over udp, so over ip. You can transmit over internet, if the router supports multicast. You need to use multicast ip addresses and of course 2 ports(udp) for each session.

  • What is the correct port number that DI used to communicate with CI?

    Hello All,
    Could you tell me the correct port numbers that a dialog instance used to connect to Central instance?
    I just installed a CI (ABAP + Java) with instance number 05 and 06, and also I installed a DI which instance number is 07.
    Everytime when I tried to start up DI, the process list (disp+work) and Java server0 can not start up, always yellow...
    But when I close the windows firewall on CI machine, the CPU began to work happily until the DI started successfully with green light.
    So, I know the root cause is happened on port restrictions, but I don't want to alway let the CI windows firewall closed, I just want to allow the corresponding ports. Now, the port number I opened on CI is:
    3205,3206,3305,3306,3605,3606,3905,3906,50500,50501,50600,50601... But all of those port are not the correct ports, could  any experts tell me?

    I already opened those ports you mentioned above, but it still doesn't work, once I close the windows firewall, the work proess jlaunch.exe began to work.......CPU from the bottom to top....
    Yes, I know that it's useless to open the firewall between CI and DI, here I just want to know the mechanism of communication between CI and DI, which pots are they used.
    The instance number on CI is 05(ABAP) and 06(Java), and the number for DI is 07.
    On CI host, I opened ports:3205,3206,3305,3306,3605,3606,3905,3906, 50500,50501,50502,50600,50601,50602 and 1527
    On DI host, I opened ports:3207,3307,3607,3907,50700,50701,50702
    Are those not enough for communication between DI and CI?

    Have you set a middle ware home environment variable?
    Looks like you try to install the wls in a different home.

  • HT5622 Getting error "Apple ID already in use" while trying to sign in to face time. Unable to verify

    I am trying to setup my iPad for FaceTime.
    I go to Settings-FaceTime.
    Put my Apple ID and password.
    Asks to put the password again.
    Then asks if I want to use my email I'd for FaceTime. Click Yes.
    Tries to verify the applied and gives the error mentioned above.
    Any help will be appreciated.
