Inferior Spell and Grammer Check

I want to add dont to the spelling dictionary. Why is it dont shows up as misspelled, but don't isn't suggested in the corrected spelling? Many abbreviated, common language words, are like this. This is supposed to be easy to use. C'mon! Even Firefox suggests the correct abbreviated spelling!
I don't want to install another third party plug-in for a simple function. If i have to go and open 3 different hidden things, and change them, something a simple user would never find on their own, is that just working?
Or is Just Works really mean, "I will do the minimum required to get the job done and no more?"
The Final Cut Suite blows Premiere away - why cant our office/spelling/mail do better than the other guys to?! I love my Mac, and wish i didn't have to install office to get things done quickly.
For those of you that are gonna say - learn to type. shaddup. technology helps me to be lazy, get it done quicker, and if it is easy enough for microsaps to do it, then why cant we. why?

Obvious from most of the responses that you see my ignorance, and true need for a good gramma' checker, and spell check. Thanks for those that agree with what I said, without arrogantly pointing out the fact that I truly do need a good application on the best computer in the biz. So if you know of any alternatives to Microsoft, that work on the Mac, would love to try it out. And if there are third party apps to help poor uneducated me, please let me know.

I'm certain that there are Spanish dictionaries and thesauri available for Word. I believe that they even come standard with the installation disc and that you can choose to install them. But best to go to the Word experts, I think.

Spell Check and Grammer

Anyone else have the problem and fix for the following. In spellcheck and grammer i have both turned on it treats each line as a new sentence and requests that the first letter of the word of each line be capitalized. I can't figure out how to fix this except by turning off spellcheck and grammer.

Are you talking about Microsoft Word. What you described usually happens when you are using the tab in Word to line up text which is not following the chosen format or you are using more spaces than the convention. It makes the program think that each line is a new sentence. If you hit the ignore option it will go to the next check.

Has anyone else found Apple's Pages to have a really bad spelling/grammer check?

I am an Mac user of less than a year and have been very annoyed with Apple's Pages as I have used WIndows Microsoft Office for all of my ife. I have found numerous words misspelled, but not marked with a red line. I also think the green underlining for things such as "informal writing" or "jagon" to be unneccessary. Does anyone have the same problems? Does anyone know if Apple is doing anything about it?

The spelling switch is in the submenu immediately above this one. Selecting the item toggles the item between 'checked' (on) to 'unchecked' (off).
Accepting spelling as 'correct' requires only that the word is included in the spelling dictionary. If you see errors that the spell check does not mark, then the error might be of the type "there" used for "their", "soul" for "sole" or similar. Or it could mean your system language (and consequently, your spelling dictionary) is set to a language other than the one in which you see the spellings as correct. Or it could mean that you or someone else using your machine saw a word marked as incorrect and told the spell check to 'learn' that word. Once learned, that string of letters will be recognized as 'correct' until the spell check is told to 'unlearn' it.

Show spelling and grammer gone!

Very mysterious. I go to the Menu>Edit>Spelling and Grammer>Show Spelling and Grammar (or Check Document Now) and nothing happens. Nothing.
No Spelling & Grammar Window appears.
Anyone have any ideas? - All else working fine and as normal.

How does one spell check and grammar check languages other than English???

If it is an empty document open Inspector > T tab > More > Language, change to the language you want. Now spell checking should work
If you already have written something select all text and then do the above procedure

Mac Mail turn off grammer check

I want my Mac Mail to check spelling before I send a message. However, I want to turn off the check grammer option because, quite frankly, it is not very good at it.
Is there any way to have Mac Mail check spelling and not check grammer?
I have looked under Preferences and there is an option to "Check Spelling when I click send" but nothing about checking grammer.

I had tried that, but it was always greyed out. I found that I had to have a message being composed in order to change that selection.
Sort of weird that some of these 'preferences' are under preferences, and others are not.
Now if Apple can just get spelling and grammer to be a bit smarter, I will be thrilled.

Coming from entourage I am used to seeing on-going spelling and grammar check - right click and you can see the suggestions. In Mail I have set to check as I type but can't right click to correct and need to pull up the spelling and grammar box (command and ":") before sending. Any way this can be changed?
Also how do I get the URLs in emails to be underlined when typed and not only when sent?

A voided cheque is one where the cheque number is marked as void but the payment document still exists. For example if a cheque was torn and you want to assign the payment to a different cheque.

When I follow the instructions in the error message, it shows that my user name has read and write access. There are a couple other items that are read only. I tried to change this to read and write, but the Sharing and Permissions options are greyed out and will not let me change them. What is the work around for this? I would really like to install the new firefox.

Protected mode message comes up and when I try to open files it says it encountered an error and to check online.. i can not open any files now

Perform static and dynamic check together on a customer?

Is it possible to perform static and dynamic check together on a customer?
I believe standard SAP does not allow both options together.
The scenario is: My client has customer who orders products 1 year in advance and create sales order with a future delivery date. The customer might have balance due on their account which is close to the credit limit. As a result the sale order should be blocked as if the automatic credit check is "Static". This would allow our customer service to call the customer and arrange for the payments.
Then 11 months later, a dynamic check should be performed on the customer to make sure the past due is under the credit limit. If the past due is over credit limit, the sales order must be blocked for delivery as if the credit check was "Dynamic" with 30 days horizon. This would again give our customer service time to settle the payment with the customer.
If anyone has implemented such a scenario, can you please give me an overview of how you did it?

Static and Dynamic Cannot be Performed together. They are mutually exclusive events.
Credit check can be performed either at Sale order level or at Delivery / PGI Level.
FCV3 is a good report to see whether a customer would fail a credit check. ( suitable for your customer service )
Coming to your Point , Assuming that the customer is eligible for a Credit of 50 Lacs. Now the Customer has placed an order for 60 Lacs. We set the Customer credit checking at order level . The Customers Sale order would get blocked.
The Customer service will follow up for the payment and see to it that it is made. Assume the customer has made a payment for 70 Lacs.
Now let us have a look at the account statement of the customer.
Account Statement : Customer Cr : 70 Lacs. Dr : 0. ( because no delivery and invoice so far has been made )
So we are supposed to deliver the Material worth value of 60 Lacs.
The First sale order worth 60 Lacs has been unblocked in VKM3. Now at the time of Delivery level why would you want to chekc the Credit limit again ? It has already passed the credit check.
It is not necessary to check credit limit . Because you have already performed the same at the order level.
Now the customer has come again and raised another sale order for 80 Lacs. The System would block him.
The system will never block the Previous delivery which you are, due for delivery to the customer.
If we keep on checking the Credits without delivering we would end up only raising in Sale orders and no Delivery to the Customer at all. The Debit side of his account will always be 0.
So i donot think Static and dynamic is needed . you can go for either Static or Dynamic.
