Infinite Redirect Loop when selecting group in Google Groups

When I sign in to Google groups, then select one of my groups, I get into an "infinite redirect loop." The page hangs, "Redirecting" appears in the page title, and at the bottom it says (alternating) "waiting for google.com" or "waiting for groups.google.com". I have Firefox 3.6.3, which I think is latest and greatest.

You go to the Google Groups help forum, look at "Is something broken" discussion, and look further for "Infinite Redirect Loop." This may be a problem that only affects moderators.
I'm not sure if this is a problem with Firefox, Google groups, or the interaction.

Clearing out all cookies worked for me, too.
Not that it matters, but my tentative conclusion is that (a) this is a Google problem and (b) it has something to do with cookies, possibly a defective cookie creation mechanism or something like that. In any event, if it doesn't recur, I would further conclude that whatever-it-was has been fixed.

Cookieless session causes redirect loop when deployed to Azure Website

I have a website that needs to use cookieless session. The website works fine locally and the session key gets passed into each request url as expected. However, when deployed to an Azure website, the website requests cause a redirect loop by reloading the
url over and over again with new session keys each time. I've tried setting regenerateExpiredSessionId to false but that does not have any effect. The Azure Website works okay with UseCookies, but I need to use cookieless session for other technical reasons.
What can be done to resolve this issue or get more insight into why it is happening?

I'm unmarking this as an answer. In no way does this answer the original question. In my previous reply I stated that I used web.config setting to disable ARR Infinity cookie. This did not resolve my problem. Also, could you please take a minute to describe
why you think disabling this feature would solve the problem? The original link you posted does not mention cookieless session or give any description of why that would be related to my problem.

IPod defaults to Shuffle and Loop when selecting a song

Whenever I use the Search facility to find a song, when I click on the song's name the iPod application launches, as expected, and the song starts to play. However, the Shuffle and Loop indicators are selected (blue color), even though I had not selected them before in the iPod. This also happens when I select a song from the iPod's directory. Is there a way to prevent this from happening?

The shuffle and loop controls can be turned off by following the instructions in the +iPad User Guide+ in section ipod under *Additional Song Controls*. Whenever these controls are enabled they remain in effect until turned off. If you did not turn them on perhaps someone else did?

Error message loop when selecting song

A warning to Keynote users:
You can accidentally get into a loop of error messages, one for each song in your iTunes library (could be 10,000 error messages or more!), if you select the Audio tab in Document Inspector, click the "iTunes Library" button, and then make the mistake of clicking the big, black arrow/triangle at the bottom left. I did this and got a message "The song 'whatever' could not be used because the original file could not be located". You have no option except to click "OK" and then a new error message pops open for the next song in your library, and on and on. There is no "Cancel" button. Your only options are to click through all 10,000 error messages, or to force quit Keynote, loosing all your presentation if you haven't saved any of it. I don't know the purpose of that big triangle, but I will try to remember to avoid clicking it. Jeeze, what a nightmare!

I'm responding to my own post. I checked the error messages more carefully and found that they are Microsoft Outlook generated and not Firefox. This could still be a Firefox problem but I thought I should point this out.

Gmail (in browser) infinite redirect

When I log into Gmail in the browser, it gets stuck in an infinite redirect loop between two websites:

The other issue is that Google Maps never finishes loading - there is an image that reads "Loading..." that never goes away, leaving all functions of that page unusuable.
What's going on? I just got this playbook two days ago.

Got it working by clearing cache/cookies. But Google Maps still broken.

New Portal Redirect Loop

Hi,
When attempting to login to the new Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com), I end up getting stuck in an infinite redirect loop. I have tried clearing cache/cookies/local storage, tried using incognito-mode, and have tried using IE11, Chrome and Firefox. The
problem appears in all browsers. I am able to login to the old portal (https://manage.windowsazure.com) without any problems.
I was last able to successfully login to the new portal on Thursday, October 2, 2014. While in the new portal, I received a javascript alert saying that new updates had been applied to the portal. After I clicked "OK" on the alert, the redirect loop
issue started.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what else to try? I am using the new Azure Redis Cache and am unable to manage it without the new portal.

AD FS - KB3003381 causes redirect loop on login

I'm using AD FS 2.1 for SSO (2 IIS sites and several WCF services) but my users have been seeing redirect loops when they try to login. Once the user's browser recognises the loop and interrupts it, they are able to either resubmit the request with a page
refresh (depending on the browser) or navigate to the URL of the site and they are logged in, but this is not a good workaround. We are using SecurEnvoy for 2FA.
This behaviour started shortly after KB3003381 was applied to the production environment, and I have replicated the behaviour on our staging environment. Removing this patch from the staging environment causes the login mechanism to behave normally.
From Fiddler, once users have authenticated successfully using SecurEnvoy, they are directed to
https://<AD FS proxy URL>/adfs/ls/?wa=wsignin1.0&wtrealm=<site URL>&wctx=rm%3d0%26id%3dpassive%26ru%3d%252f&wct=<UTC timestamp>
which results in a 302 redirect to
https://<AD FS proxy URL>/adfs/ls/auth/basic/?wa=wsignin1.0&wtrealm=<site URL>&wctx=rm%3d0%26id%3dpassive%26ru%3d%252f&wct=<UTC timestamp>
This should return a 200, but instead returns a 302 redirect to the same URL, until stopped by the browser.

Portal SRA 7.1 - Redirect Loop

Hi,
sometimes (approx. 50% of connections) get a 'Redirect Loop' when accessing gateway after sucessful login.
Did anybody know how to solve this problem, please?

You can also try adding the host you are trying to access to "URLs to which User Session Cookie is Forwarded" under Secure Remote Access --> Profiles in psconsole.

AS2.0 : Infinite recursion loop error when launching debugger

I want to debug a project:
When I run it from Flash, it doesn't work as expected but it
doesn't display
any compiling nor runtime error.
But when I want to debug it and press the Play button of the
debugger, it
displays an infinite recursion loop error.
I get this error even when I set a breakpoint at the first

What you are trying to do is not supported on Windows.
You mention a thin client. This has nothing to do with thin clients. Thin clients are just dumb monitors that run a remote RDP session.
If you are connecting to a terminal server there is a configuration in GP or in the terminal server configuration that let you specify an alternate shell. If you are running this as a remote to a workstation then you need to specify the shell in the
user profile. THis can be done through group policy or via a registry edit.
You cannot use a script for this and you cannot use an Office program without Explorer. Office requires Explorer to run which is why you are getting that error.
Redirecting userinit for the whole machine will likely create many bad side effects as it is a fundamental process. It is called multiple times during logon. Replacing it with a batch file will cause you script to be executed multiple times.
Usually userinit is called at least three times. In a domain with Group Policy it can be called a dozen times. I am pretty sure the only reason for it being in the registry is to allow for debugging.
Another this folder.ng to knowis that userinit has to complete before many things in Office will work correctly dependin on you implementation.
You can load the powerpoint viewer and directly launch that with the file name from the
"startup" . You can also try and set the powerpoint viewer as the alternate shell. It just might work because it is designed to run completely stand alone with no Office and is used in kiosks which generally run without Explorer.
You can also try to use IE to launch the ppt as it can host this with the viewer installed. It can be set to fullscreen and it will re-launch when exited just like Explorer does,

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

When Safari launches, tap in the address field (the one on the left) and type "www.google.com" then hit the "Go" button.
After the page finishes loading, hit the "Action" button (the middle button on the bottom button bar that looks like an arrow coming out of a rectangle) and select "Add to Bookmarks" to add the Google page to your bookmarks.

Infinite loop when trying to purchase a subscription in the sandbox environment

We have set up a newsstand app with subscription functionality. We are testing the subscription functionality by using test users that have been set up in itunesconnect. When testing, we find that we get into an infinite loop when trying to subscribe to a magazine. After getting the pop-up to validate payment information, we are directed to the app store with a grey box, that looks like it should contain purchase information, but the page keeps reloading and we never get the option to enter this info. Finally a message appears that says the this is a test environment. I have included some screenshots below. Any thoughts?

I was able to unzip the file "Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium MAC.zip" using stuffit expander, free from www.stuffit.com. I am not sure why the expander native in Mac OSX v 10.9 ("Archive Utility.app") wasn't able to do this (I tried repeatedly for 2 days). But stuffit expander worked fine and now the software is running...
