Infinity activated today but sllooowwwww
Hi. I was a adsl customer and was getting 7-8 Mbps down and .3 up. Since infinity I'm getting 1.9mbps and .3 up. I was told to expect 38 Mbps down and 9 up as we are so close to the exchange. Can a BT mod help me with this please? Thanks

If you services were only activated today you might find you need to wait 24 hours before being able to access the claim link to put your claim in, this is normal with all new customers such as yourself.

If I download a movie today, but will not be watching it for a few weeks (i.e. when overseas) - when does the 'activation' period start? Do I have 48 hours from the download date or when I first watch the movie?
You have 30 days from when you download it, but when you then start watching it you have 48 hours (24 if your account is US based) to finish watching it before it expires.

BT Infinity activation/connection problems

Please help!!
As part of a house move I had the opportunity to upgrade from standard broadband to Infinity....Initially my activation date was 7th April 2014, and my TV and landline were both completed on that day. Infinity activation was put back to 14th April, and I got the text and email yesterday to say it was all ready.
I set up the HomeHub 5 as per the instructions and got the orange power light with flashing red broadband light. I tried restarting/resetting the homehub a few times with no luck, so decided to wait until after midnight.
Tried again today, same issues. Called up and spoke to someone in India, hoping for a quick fix, but could only stay on the phone for 30mins or so before heading to work. On the phone I basically got talked through all the usual stuff that I had already tried - restarting, resetting, check the socket, all of those seem to be fine.
Can anyone help me? It's already been over a week since I was supposed to be up and running and it's now getting very frustrating!

I was due to have an engineer cone to set up my infinity today arriving between 1-6. At 6pm they still hadn't showed so I contacted BT and was on the phone to them for 90 minutes trying to sort it out, they informed me that the engineer had phoned and supposedly I had told them everything was sorted out and didn't need them when looking into this more it showed they had actually contacted a different person not me. I asked when they would send an engineer out and was told a new appointment would need to be made, however I took today of work for this appointment and am due to go holiday next week so could end up having to wait 4weeks. Has anyone else had the problem and what was the result, seriously contemplating going back to sky. first day with BT and already having problems, great customer services there providing, not impressed,
I just wanted to post here to recount my experiences of trying to have infinity activated in my apartment. I have explored every other avenue to try and resolve this issue but to date no progress has been made.
My partner and I have sent emails, spent at least 10 hours cumulatively on the phone with support and have waited around the house for 3 failed appointments! Only one of these bothered to send any form of notification that they wouldn't arrive. Which is the very minimum one would expect. That's 3 days off work for my partner and since she is working on a temporary contract basis, 3 days of lost wages.
I really cannot express how frustrated I am with the whole process. Support have been no help whatsoever. Yesterday we were told there is an issue with our line which needs to be resolved before this can proceed. No one could explain when that might be, what the issue was, why we were sent the equipment and given an appointment or most importantly, why we weren't informed of the error before taking the days off work?
Despite assurances, an engineer has failed to show up again today and we did not receive the promised call from support. It's been nearly 4 weeks now without any resolution or explanation from BT. I've lost all faith in the company and unless I am contacted between now and then, I am going to cancel my order as soon as I get home from work. I just thought I'd share my experience and maybe get some explanation for why we've had to waste so much time and money on this. -
Tried to launch Lr today but it said, " renew your membership to reactivate Develop module" ???? I already have a 1 year membership
The Photoshop LR CC is active but you have not yet activated it. The activation server shows it. Please log out & log back in of the CC desktop CC.
The Complete CC purchased last year is active till 11th of July. In case after logging out & logging back in does not resolve the issue, please contact Customer support Contact Customer Care

Email from Adobe says I can use File Sync today, but it isn't working
Received an email this morning saying I'd been already approved for newly reinstated File Sync and I should start using it today, but my desktop app still says "coming soon." I waited till this evening, but it's still not active.
Here's quote from the email: "Since we’re rolling out access in limited batches, we’re prompting people to join a waiting list—but we’ve gone ahead and approved you, so you can get started using these features anytime."
Anyone know what's going on?

If not then try quitting it and then re-launch it, it will ask you to update.
After update, it should have that functionality. -
Noisy line after infinity activated
Hi, I had infinity installed & activated whilst I was away on holiday. On my return I picked up my phone to make a phone call and the line was very noisy (it was clear before infinity activated, on our old broadband).
I have plugged my phone into the socket directly and the line is clear. It is only when I plug an ADSL filter in that the line is noisy, with or without the modem plugged in. I have tried three different phones, including a brand new BT phone, 6 ADSL filters and 1 filtered face plate, but am still getting a very noisy unusable line.
I contacted 151 and they are insisting that there is not a fault on my line and have told me that I may have a charge of £129.99 if my home equipment is faulty although I cannot see how 3 phones and 7 filters can all be faulty! It is only since infinity activated that I have had this problem.I have an engineer booked for tomorrow (Thursday), but just wondered if anyone has any ideas what this could be. Thankshet_uk wrote:

if you get infinity 1 then for most it is self install and there is no SSFP just filters same as adsl hence why I asked if infinity 1 or 2

I was just showing that just because you have infinity installed you need not necessarily have had a new filtered faceplate fitted

How do I download a movie to my iphone 3G? When I click 'rent' in itunes, I get a message that there is not enough available local storage, but I can manage storage on my device in 'Settings'. I have activated icloud, but don't know how to change my storage so that I can rent and watch the movie on my phone. thanks for any help you can give.
I always do my Rentals with the itunes program on the computer.
Make rental from itunes store. It will show in movies under library, DO NOT click to play it. Plug in the device to the computer. Click the name of the device on left. Click on movies. There is an option to copy to the device. Sync. obviously you still need space on ipad to put rental but you can have it take computers hard drive space until you need it. -
I installed OX S Lion today but now my safari quits every time I open it. Any ideas why and how I can resolve?
Yes done that several times. Went online with with my service provider, O2. Spoke to a "Guru" sent me an E-Mail with the settings so I could put them in manually incase the reset did'nt work.

A month ago my iPhone was stolen, I turned on Activation Lock but it never came out BUT an hour ago somehow my apple ID was changed and someone removed from the account both my iPhone and iPad and the iPad was also remotely wiped. As soon as I saw it I recover the password and return the access to my iPad. But iPhone is not registered for my apple ID any longer. Can Apple help me somehow? I have all the documents and the iPhone box. Will they lock the iPhone and return me access to it. I'm sure it's been attached to another apple ID.
PS. the apple ID I'm using on the discussons is not the hacked one.Try contacting the Apple account security team and ask: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

You might want to make sure your credit card is listed in the billing information associated with your Apple ID (see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918).
Also, to change the From name that appears when you address emails on and iOS device, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap your iCloud email account, tap you iCloud account at the top, tap Mail at the bottom, then enter the name you want to use in the Name field at the top.
To change the From name on your Mac Mail, go to icloud.com, sign into your account, open Mail, click the gear shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, go to the Accounts tab and enter the name you want to use in the Full Name field and click Done. Then quit Mail on your Mac and re-open it. Your new From name should now appear in the drop-down list when you compose a new email. -
Apparently you can have 5 computers registered for iTunes. I have 3 active computers but I guess I have other computers that are still activated that I no longer use and I no longer have as they crashed. Is there a way to delete or see what the other computers are so that I can go in and delete them? I've tried to email Apple directly but apparently I need my hardware # and obviously I do not have that # since I don't have the equipment any longer. Any help is greatly appreicated. I am trying to add another computer and it won't allow me to as they say I'm at my limit. Please help!

Just open up iTunes on your computer -> Go to the iTunes Store -> Click your e- maill address (top right corner of the window) -> Type in your password for your Apple ID -> Under Computer Authorisations (underneath your Apple ID account balance and address) -> Press 'Deauthorise All'
-> This will deauthorise all computers and devices from your iTunes account -> you then need to re- authorise any computers/ devices you would like to use with your Apple ID for iTunes content -> to do this, select the Store tab along the menu at the top (where 'File', 'Edit', 'View' etc..... are) -> Then click 'Authorise this Computer' -> Type in your Apple ID -> Voila!
For any iOS devices (non- computers) you wish to re- authorise, these will automatically do so when you go to play iTunes content, download an app or anything like that on those devices!

goodnight. as you know apple has evolved considerably until today but there are people who do not have ability to buy new products. in my case I would like to know why the apple do not let the iphone 3g update to iOS 4.3 as are several applications that can not put on my iphone 3g due to this reason. Why does not Apple make a repository with applications for ios 4.2.1? or else do not work in an update to ios 4.3 on iphone 3g?
This has nothing to do with Apple, as Apple does not make the apps.
This is the decision of the app maker.
Contact those app makers and ask them why they do this.
