Influencing factor Plant for Notification Field selection.

Dear Expert,
                 I want to make Malfunction Start Field to be display only (Not modifiable)Plant Specific.
I am using same notiification Type for 2 Plants and so I want to Make Malfunction Start field non-modifiable for one plant and modifiable for Other.
                 For Notification Field selection there is Influencing Field as Notification Type but not Plant ( Maintenance or Planning).
                 How I can address this issue.
                 Please suggest any BADI if possible.

This is kalyan, IMG activity is the general settings for Notification, There you can select fields for Notification type. you can not find Documentation for that as per the client requirement we have to drill down the IMG path.

I am looking to understand the way of defining field selection for notification.
I have arrived to the IMG activity in which I can, probably, customize the field selection but I could not find the simple way of doing it for notification type.

I have a configured a notification type. I want to hide unwanted fields . I checked for " Set Field Selection for Notifications" in spro but i am not able to find these fields.
The Fields are under below tabs

I have not checked in SAP, butif the hiding of the fields in not possible through SPRO, then an easy way to hide fields is to use GUixT, which comes with std. SAP.

Can't select CMYK text colour for text fields in Acrobat Pro forms?

I have designed a business card template in Indesign, and now want to use Acrobat Pro to add in text fields so that a client can edit the contact details on the cards in future.
I need to select a specific text colour for the fields, so that it matches the rest of the design. The cards will obviously need to be printed and the document has been set up in CMYK, but when I enter the CMYK colour breakdown in the Properties > Text Colour panel, it won't apply the colour to that field. The text either stays at the default black, or reverts to RGB - which isn't suitable for printing and doesn't match the colour I need.
Can anybody PLEASE shed some light on this? Other similar posts have either not been answered or people have suggested JavaScript..? I have no idea what I'm supposed to do with a JS code..? Surely there's an easier explanation?

This is for a text field that you create in Acrobat, whether the form is used offline or online. The script is a custom Format script, which you can place by bringing up the Properties dialog for the field, select the Format tab, set a format category of Custom, and you should see where you can enter the script. Change the string "Instructional text goes here" to the text you want to display when the field is blank.

The value of the stocks to be uploaded using MvT Type 561 can be placed in the External Amount in Local Currency Field. To show this field during goods receipt:
SPRO - MM - IM and PI - Settings for Enjoy Transactions - Settings for MIGO - Field Selection per MvT Type - New Entries - (561 EXBWR) then set as either required or optional.

I want to know the difference between Field Selection Keys AKTH, ME21, and ME21N.
I have observed during Testing that, AKTH and ME21N are almost the same.
But, I like to know the difference.
Which is to be used when?

Go through following information.
Field selection key: -
You should not delete the field selection keys listed below, which the dialog program uses for control purposes, otherwise the dialog may terminate during processing:
1. Field selection key: transaction
The field selection key that corresponds to the transaction code: for example, field selection key ME22 for the transaction "Change Purchase Order". For the Enjoy Purchase Order transactions (creating, changing, displaying), there is only field selection key ME21N.
2. Field selection key: activity type
Is set from the activity type as follows:
AKTH    In creation mode
AKTV    In change mode
AKTA    In display mode
AKTE    With PO extension
You should note that you can also add items in change mode (for example, transaction ME22). Field selection key AKTH would be used for this item.
3. Field selection key: purchasing document type
The field selection key that you have assigned to the document type for the purchasing document. For example, field selection key UBF is assigned to document type UB, which is used for stock transfer orders (within a company code). In this key, the fields Price and Price unit are suppressed.
4. Field selection key: item category/document category
This is determined from the item and document categories as follows: The first two characters consist of the letters 'PT', the third character of the item category (internal representation), and the fourth of the document category:
A   for RFQs,
B   for purchase requisitions
F   for purchase orders
K   for contracts
L   for scheduling agreements
Accordingly, field selection key PT3F would be used for a subcontracting item in a purchase order.
Field selection key: function authorization/release status
Purchasing documents: Used for authorization control. If the user parameter EFB (function authorizations in Purchasing) has been assigned and a field selection key has been assigned to the relevant value, this field selection key is used. Otherwise, field selection key $$$$ is used if the user has insufficient authorization to display prices.
Purchase requisitions: If the purchase requisition is subject to a release strategy and a field selection key has been assigned to the current release indicator, this field selection key is used.
Field selection key: subitem/creation indicator
Purchasing documents: Is only used in the case of subitems. The field selection key is put together in the same way as for the item categories (field selection key 4), with the string 'UP', the subitem category, and the document type.
Purchase requisitions: the field selection key that is derived from the creation indicator in the purchase requisition, that is, ESTV, ESTF, or ESTD, is used in the case of purchase requisitions generated from within Sales and Distribution, from a production order, or through direct procurement.
5. Field selection key: purchase requisition
In addition to the available field selection keys, you can define a field selection key at function authorization level to influence the input characteristics of fields in the Enjoy Purchase Requisition.
You can use this field selection key to set up groups of users that have certain restrictions when editing purchase requisitions.
SAP Recommendation: -
SAP recommends that you accept the settings defined in the standard system. In this case, no action is required on your part.

Define whether a field is hidden or displayed, or whether an entry is mandatory or optional in material master maintenance by assigning the field to a field selection group in OMSR.
Each field selection group has a number between 1 and 240.
The values of the field selection groups have been preassigned as follows:
001-110 Material master for industry
111-120 Reserved for customers (except where the values are already in use)
121-150 Material master for industry
151-210 Material master for retail
211-240 Reserved for customers
Create and maintain field references (OMS9).
All the fields in the same fields group will have the same field selection option.
(hide, display, required entry, or optional entry)
You can see where a field reference is used by choosing Where-used list.
Define or change the field references as required (except for field references with the prefix SAP which must not be changed). New field references must begin with Y or Z.
Changing the Field Selection Options for a Field Selection Group
1. Specify the field selection group .
2. Select the field selection option (hide, display, required entry, or optional entry)
for each field reference as required.
3. Save.
Creating a Field Reference
1. Choose New entries.
2. Specify a field reference beginning with Y or Z.
3. Select the field selection option for each field selection group as required.
4. Save.
Changing a Field Reference
1. Double-click the relevant field reference.
2. Change the field selection option for each field selection group as required.
3. Save.
Define industry sectors and industry-sector-specific field selection in OMS3.
Define plant-specific field selection and screen selection in OMSA.

Free PO indicator in field selection key/group

Hi all,
I would like to make Free PO indicator as mandatory field in PO thru specific document type field selection reference key. When I search for the field, it is not available for existing field selection key (Field selection group).
How can I add the Free PO indicator into this field selection key/group or Does it represented in different name.

Hi,
"Free Indicator" doesn't exist in field selection. If you wanto to have Free Indicator ON for a specific PO Document Type then you need to do ABAP Development for this.
Use BAdi --> ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST
Interface --> PROCESS_ITEM (Processing of Item Data)

RSDMWB - Create Model - BW Query Model Field Selection - Problem

I am trying to create a Data Mining model.
In RSDMWB I select "Create Model" in the right click context menu after selecting a Data Mining model.
In the "Create Model" window I try to select a BW Query I have previously created as source for Model Field Selection.
To find the query I press F4 and get a list of available objects sorted by InfoAreas. However, the InfoArea containing my InfoProviders and the BW Queries is not visible.
If I try selecting a BW Query that is visible this BW query does not appear in the BW Query field in the Create Model window.
However as I press 'enter' I get a field selection list!
Last but not least, I cannot type manually a BW Query name in the abovementioned BW Query field.
I am not sure it is related, but I found a note about some UI problem at model creation
"Data Mining: UI adjustment SAP Note Number: 851886". It says that BW35 SP14 should be needed. I am currently on SP12.
Does anyone have the same problem. What is the solution to it?

Table ROOSFIELD Field "SELECTION" value "A"

Hello,
My problem is as follows:
I want to extract the fields REFBN, REFBK, REFGJ etc. from CO to BW using the data source 0CO_OM_CCA_9. These fields are included in the structure BWOM2_REFBLG which in turn included in the extraction structure ICCTRCSTA1 relevant to 0CO_OM_CCA_9.
However the fields REFBN etc. are NOT visible in the data source 0CO_OM_CCA_9 using transaction RSA6.
I therefore checked the table ROOSFIELD and the settings for the field SELECTION in this table was set to "A" (Field in BW & OLTP hidden by SAP) for the fields REFBN etc. Therefore the fields REFBN etc. are not visible in the DataSource.
I would like to know the following:
1. What is the significance of the value "A" for the field SELECTION?? I mean, why would SAP want to hide a particular field??
2. What are the consequences of changing the settings from A to something else??

Hi Raja,
give it a try and change the value to space using a little test abap and maintain the datasource again. After all, test it in rsa3 before you replicate it.
I already did the same a few times and it worked. It might be possible that a field will not work as selection field but feel free to try.
Sometimes you find some of these fields and there is a oss note available, telling that sap decides in some case whether it makes sense or not to get a field with a specific extractor.

Other than this there are lock relevent fields which could be never influenced once locked...(Don't try it, because unlocking requires need of Basis consultant)...

Go to SPRO>Production>Material Requirements Planning>Plant Parameters> Carry Out Overall Maintenance of Plant Parameters and execute. (Transcation OPPQ)
Select Maintain and give the plant
Select External procurement Tab and select Unknown account assignment.
But, you need account assignment for non-valuated material for external procurement.
Hope it solves your issue.

modified field is the field on which the impact is registered i.e hide, mandatoru etc
Influence is the field that is the reason why the modified field needs to be changed
for example if you have two project profiles
then for one project profiel you can have say the resp cost centre mandatory and for the other you can have the resp cost centre hidden
In this example the project profile is the influencing field and resp cost centre is the modified field

QM01 - Add new fields under SUBJECTS tab for notification type Q2

Hi Experts,
My requirement is to add 2 new fields to the create Quality Notification (QM01) Tcode under SUBJECTS tab for Notification type Q2.
I followed the following steps to achieve this :
[ SPRO -> Quality Mnanagement -> Quality Notifications -> Overview Quality Notification Types -> Then I selected Q2 and then selected dcreen structure for extended view -> Double clicked on 10\TAB02 ].
Now I arrived on the screen where we have to define the custom screen area and screen number.
But here in this case (Q2 notification type) all the 5 screen areas are already occupied , so where can I add my custom subscreen ??

You can enter the more than two persons in but not on header screen. In operation you can make each seperate person responsible for each operation & that can be entered against each operation seperately. Also if operation is carried out by two person then also you can enter that in the form of split.
But it is not possible to enter two users in reported by field.
I hope this will resolve your issue.

Plant level authorization for Notification Change

Hi All
We have 7 plants and person belong to one plant is able to open and change the notification of other plants.
In the role we have given restriction for the plant for the Tcode IW 22 and for the object SWERK .In the Notification only Workcenter and Plant fields are mandatory.
How can we restrict for a user belong to a particular plant can only change his plant notifications using IW22 only ---not IW28

Dear gangs,
Check in all the roles of that user in orgnozation levels maintenance plant and planning plant.
It may happen in one role you have ristricted for that user, but in other roles it may be having the t.code authorization for IW22 and with other plant also.
Check that also.
