Info about the battery?

Is it harmful for the battery of my iPad, that when my iPad have for example 50% battery left, I charge him a hole night?
I already know that it isn't harmful that it charge him the hole night when its empty....
Plzz someone help me :)

Yes, it's perfectly OK to charge the battery with 10%, 50% or any percent left. It does not harm the battery nor reduce its useful life. It's also not harmful to leave it connected to the charger when not using it (or even when using it.) You just don't want to leave it connected to the charger all the time for one or two consecutive years because without use the battery's life will be shortened.

  • Confused about the battery...

    Hello everyone,
    I'm from Pakistan and I just switched to Mac almost 2-3 weeks ago. Since, they have proper apple authorized dealers here so I finally decided to get one for myself. I had some confusion about the battery and my system and now I'm getting very much concerned and worried as a matter of fact.
    I installed coconut battery (as few people suggested me) to check my battery status. First of all, it shows the age of my Mac as 5 months, which is pretty surprising since I got a brand new one and even the condition is of a brand new one so I have no clue why did it say that.
    Secondly, I would like to tell the condition of my battery:
    Current Battery Charge: 3591 mAh (I'm using on battery power right now)
    Maximum Battery charge: 4068 mAh
    88%
    Current Battery Capacity: 4068 mAh
    Original Battery Capacity: 4100 mAh
    99%
    Additional info:
    Battery-Loadcycles : 12
    Age of your Mac: 5 months
    Charger connected: No
    Battery is charging: No
    I am just concerned that my battery current capacity decreased to 99% after just 12 load cycles. Why is that? Some people tell that they have a 100% even after using it for a long time and other than that does anyone have any idea why is the age being shown as 5 months when I have only used it for 2 weeks.
    I'm really confused.
    Another suggestion that I want is that in Pakistan, we are having major electricity load shedding so I can't keep it on AC power most of the time so if my computer is shut-down and being charged. If the electricity goes and when it comes back and it starts charging to the point from where it left, will that waste the load-cycle or will it continue to charge it from there without wasting cycle? Does that affect the battery life? (Assuming that the computer is shut-down while being charged)
    Last thing, should I use it mostly on AC power or is it better to charge it and then drain the battery and then charge it and then use. Till how much percent should I keep using on the battery power and then connect the Magsafe connector?
    Please help people
    I'd highly appreciate if you could answer my questions.
    Thank you.

    I was told that it is best to keep it plugged in and connected to the charger when you can, but if you are not able to do that then just use battery power. I just know you don't want too many cycles, which means you don't want to drain the battery completely then fully recharge it. You should calibrate the battery, which is pretty much just draining battery then recharging it, every couple of months if you keep it plugged into the charger and don't use just the battery often.

  • Ten days away: what about the battery?

    Hi,
    I'm going to leave for ten (10) days, not bringing my iBook with me. It will stay OFF for all that time. What about the battery? Is it going to get stale? How much shoud I charge it before I leave?
    Right now I'm really proud of it: full charge = 6:30 hours!!!!
    Thanks,
    Stefano.

    Stefano -
    I'd say ten days would be OK without having to do anything special, here are a few links that talk about battery storage and other battery related information.

    hi,
    i need some info about the device my midlet is running on.
    how is it possible to get info about the screensize, screentype(color/black) and perhaps devicetype or modelname?
    i already read it somewhere but i didn't find the source again.

    thx,
    the example below shows some basic information.
    Display myDisplay = Display.getDisplay(this);
    Displayable dis = myDisplay.getCurrent();
    int high = dis.getHeight();
    int width = dis.getWidth();
    boolean isCol = myDisplay.isColor();
    int nubCol = myDisplay.numColors();more detailed information about model, aren't available through the standard api, on blackberry's there some restricted apis that provide these device-type and other detailed information...
    for more basic information, just look at the class-methods from display and displayable...

  • Info about the RFC

    Hi,
    I have to work on RFC FM.  Can any body give me the info about the RFC? especially for Function module?
    Will give Reward points
    regards,Ram

    Hi
    RFC (Remote Function Call) is similar to the general SAP fun module: except that in the attributes you click the radio button: RFC enabled;
    and you will be passing an Import parameter DESTINATION to it.
    Other code and usage will be similar to any fun module;
    Have a look at any fun module in SE37 to understand better about the different components of Fun modules;
    Refer this link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/22/042518488911d189490000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
    Function Modules doc
    Function Modules;
    Check this matter.
    Function Modules are Global ABAP programs created by SAP for reusable purpose.they have IMPORT,EXPORT and TABLE parameters, and EXCEPTIONS to through when error occurs.
    You can create them from TCode SE37.
    Go through the following doc:
    Function modules are cross-program, reusable procedures that are organized into function groups, and whose functions are implemented between the statements FUNCTION and ENDFUNCTION. Function modules and their interfaces are created in the Function Builder.
    Function Module Interfaces
    The parameter interface of a function module is defined in the Function Builder. It includes the definition of interface parameters and the specification of exceptions that can be triggered by a function module. The Function Builder automatically generates comment lines below the FUNCTION statement in the source code of the function module, which represent the interface of the function module with the following syntax:
    Syntax
    ... [IMPORTING parameters]
    [EXPORTING parameters]
    [CHANGING parameters]
    [TABLES table_parameters]
    [{RAISING|EXCEPTIONS} exc1 exc2 ...]
    The syntax and semantics of IMPORTING, EXPORTING, CHANGING, RAISING, and EXCEPTIONS mainly correspond to the definition of method interfaces with [CLASS-]METHODS. The additional option of defining table parameters using TABLES is obsolete.
    Interface parameters
    The interface parameters are defined on the relevant tab pages in the Function Builder.
    IMPORTING parameters are input parameters. When the function module is called, a suitable actual parameter must be specified for every non-optional input parameter. The content of the actual parameter is passed to the input parameter when the call is made. The content of an input parameter for which 'pass by reference' is defined cannot be changed in the function module.
    EXPORTING parameters are output parameters. When the function module is called, a suitable actual parameter can be specified for every output parameter. The content of an output parameter that is defined for 'pass by value' is transferred to the actual parameter if the function module is completed without errors. An output parameter that is defined for pass by reference is not initialized when the function module is called.
    CHANGING parameters are input and output parameters. When the function module is called, a suitable actual parameter must be specified for every non-optional input or output parameter. When the function module is called, the content of the actual parameter is passed to the input/output parameter, and when the function module is completed, the content of the input/output parameter is passed to the actual parameter.
    TABLES parameters are table parameters. Table parameters are obsolete CHANGING parameters that are typed as standard tables with a header line. If an internal table without a header line or a table body is passed as an actual parameter to a formal parameter of this type, an empty local header line is generated in the function module. If an internal table with a header line is used as an actual parameter, both the table body and the header line are passed to the function module. Pass by value is not possible in formal parameters defined using TABLES. Formal parameters defined with TABLES can be replaced by formal parameters defined with CHANGING. A local work area can be created for the internal table in the function module by using the addition LIKE LINE OF itab of the DATA statement.
    Exceptions
    The exception of a function module are defined on the Exceptions tab page in the Function Builder. Here you can select exception classes to define whether class-based exceptions are declared or non-class-based exception are defined. Class-based exceptions are represented in the above syntax by RAISING, and non-class-based exceptions are represented by EXCEPTIONS.
    The addition RAISING is used to declare class-based exceptions that can be propagated from the function module to the caller. Exceptions in the categories CX_STATIC_CHECK and CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK must be explicitly declared, otherwise a propagation can lead to an interface violation. A violation of the interface leads to the treatable exception CX_SY_NO_HANDLER. Exceptions of the category CX_NO_CHECK are implicitly always declared. The declaration of exceptions of the category CX_STATIC_CHECK is statically checked in the syntax check. For exceptions of the category CX_DYNAMIC_CHECK, the check is not performed until runtime. In a function module in which class-based exceptions are declared with the RAISING addition, the statement CATCH SYSTEM-EXCEPTIONS cannot be used. Instead, the relevant treatable exceptions should be handled in a TRY control structure.
    The addition EXCEPTIONS is used to define a list of non-class-based exceptions that can be triggered in the function module using the statements RAISE or MESSAGE RAISING. Exceptions defined in this way - as with formal parameters - are bound to the function module and cannot be propagated. If an exception of this type is triggered in a function module, and no return value has been assigned to it with the homonymous addition EXCEPTIONS of the CALL FUNCTION statement when the call was made, this leads to a runtime error.
    Note
    For new developments after release 6.10, SAP recommends that you work with class-based exceptions that are independent of the function module.
    RFC is a technology which is used to access a functions (Modules) from
    the remote systems.
    If a function module is set as remote enabled which can be access from
    the remote system via RFC.Eg: U can access the Remote enabled function modules in ur VB,Webdynpro,Java,Visual composer program.
    A function module can be set as remote enabled by SE37->Go to ur FM->click the option Button "remote enabled".
    But Normal function modules can not accessd from the remote system.
    Good Example for RFC enabled function module is : BAPI(Business Application Programming Interface)
    Note: All BAPIs are Remote enabled but not all remote enabled function modules are BAPI.
    CALLING A FUNCTION MODULE:
    1)In U ABAP Editor --> Click "Patter" ---> Selection Option Button "Call Function"
    --> Write the Corresponding FM name --> Hit Enter
    2)The appropriate import ,export Parameters will be displayed in ur editor
    3)Pass the Values Here.

  • Info about the the performance of Q10

    Dear all , Could you please suggest me about the performance of Q10 especially about the battery life? I use my phone mostly for social networking and emails.. Thanks, Mithilesh..

    I'm a heavy user and I can't kill the battery within 12 hours.
    I also CANNOT crash the phone despite having multiple apps open simultaneously, i.e. music playing while watching YouTube videos and playing video games all at the same time. I've tried many times with no success.
    Cheers.

  • Some questions about the battery

    I have a couple of questions about the battery in general.
    Is it normal that my iPod Touch 4G charges very fast? It reaches 60% in only one hour and it's fully charged before it takes two hours. I know this is not bad but I'm just worried. How can I be sure if it's really loaded?
    Is it normal that the battery is very quick empty when I'm gaming? For now I'm blaming this due to the quick charge.
    Is it normal that for example my battery level is at 30% and when I put on standby or something or close a game, the battery starts rising for approx. 5% even 10% sometimes?
    Those are my question, I hope they are clear enough. Thanks in advance.
    Regards

    1. The tech specs says:
    Charging times: Fast charge in about 2 hours (80% capacity), full charge in about 4 hours
    2. Heavy use like gaming drains the batery fater then other use. The tech specs say:
    Video playback time: Up to 7 hours when fully charged
    3.. Yes, the indicate capacity tends to rise after heary draining is stopped.  The battery indicator is not that accurate is affected by temperature. Heavy use increases battery temperature and when it decreases battery temperature decreases.

  • Paranoid about the battery

    Ok, I got my nano today and I have fallen in LOVE with it. Just wondered about the battery though. I got it out of the box, choved it on my Mac and away i went! It said it was fully charged after like an hour though - not even that? I took it out anyway, was I right to do that? Anyway, I was just thinking about this '12 hour battery life' thing, when are you likely to get this 12 hours? At a medium volume setting with minimum backlight etc?
    I just think the battery will go down a lot quicker (all of my friends iPods have *not so good* batteries so didn't want this to be a continuing problem)
    Thanks anyway
    ijmac

    I'm scared now though, this morning it said battery was empty and I needed to recharge, when recharging it didn't take 3 hours (I don't think) to recharge fully, it took less (maybe 2?)
    Also, when just unplugging the charged iPod the battery icon went down a bit? When i first got my nano, i charged it for like an hour (until it said fully charged), then as the icon went to half way, shoved it i again, soon after than i unplugged it to let it go all the way down to charge fully (as people recommend)
    Please don't say I've buggered up this wicked iPod =(

    Hi Neil,
    Thanks for your suggestion. I thought I tried all combinations of database, catalog and schema names and all different orders to connect, associate the connection and generate entities, but it seems I did not try this one. I did exactly what you suggest, except for the fact that I connected to the database before associating the connection to the project.
    It partially works now. I can generate Entities. Once I have generated an entity, all generated private member variables become red underlined, because table "null" for columns "xyz" could not be resolved. And the drop down box for columns in the JPA Details pane still doesn't get populated. The latter can be fixed by selecting the proper schema for the entity, which results in a @Table(schema="xyz") annotation. However, I expected this to be done automatically when the Entity was generated.
    The error about not being able to resolve the columns still exists. I tried to add a @Column(name="ASDF") annotation (because the columns names are all capital, while the member variables are lowercase), but that doesn't resolve the problem.
    I hope this gives you a clue to solve the problem!

  • I spoke with Apple about the battery and they said...

    it might be a software issue to where something is not installed properly in the backend in which im hoping. I talked to them for a good 20mins in regards to what alot of us are experiencing about the battery life not being what its supposed to. he said they've gotten a good amount of calls this week about the iPhone not holding its battery charge throughout the day. I asked what can i do on my end to try to fix this problem. he said to backup and restore your iPhone like you just bought it to reinstall the software.
    plug in to iTunes -- backup iPhone -- restore -- when "set up or backup" screen comes on, unplug. keep notice of the battery to see how its going. if its still dropping noticably then its a battery problem, if not then it should be working as normal. i might have to drive 2hrs to get a new iPhone if this doesnt help but hopefully this will help some?

    Some clearly have faulty batteries.
    hopefully Apple puts out a new update quick.
