Info iphone 5 sim locked

aspetto vostre notizie grazie mille !

Buona fortuna.

  • Officially unlocked iphone, now sim locked again !

Some time ago I bought a officially unlocked G3 iPhone on eBay,
I know that it was officially unlocked because since then I have updated the software, as well as using the "restore" feature as soon as I bought the phone.
Now with the latest update (3.1.3) that I just used, my iPhone is now sim locked to t-mobile here in Germany !
I have also inserted an T-Mobile sim card and restored it with my last backup. The phone is still locked to T-Mobile only !
Does Apple or the carrier actually unlock the phone, whats the procedure that they use ?
If I took the phone to telecom (T-Mobile) without a receipt and they refuse to unlock it, can I still somehow get apple to unlock it.
    Thanks for your help

That is why I am reluctant to buy mobile phones from Ebay. There will always be complications down the road, since you are not the original purchaser. Most companies state in their contract, that certain rights & privileges extend only to the original purchaser, and not third parties. When comes to buying phones, I always buy them myself. I end up paying a bit more, but I always have piece of mind.

  • USA iphone 4s sim locked?

The iphone 4s will be sell in USA which is sim locked in ATT?
But the iphone 4s from USA can be used in other countries with any carriers?
I wonder the iphone 4s will be sell in Canada, can it be used on tmobile in USA?

Rrrrrright, that is so true. I unlocked my 1st Gen iPhone and switched to Tmobile in 2009 since I don't use a cellphone much and needed to save money, and hated AT&T and, and , and....
But of course I wanted to continue to be seen with iPhone, that was my true priority. The fact that I liked all the other features, which continued to work over wifi... totally negligible.
I would love to upgrade to the 4s. Mainly because I would like to be seen with the 4s (never mind it looks like a 4). (I also would like this better screen and iOS 5 since I am still on iOS 3 and the better camera, coming from a 2 megapixel, and video features. Faster chip would be great too) ...
Now in order to be seen with this iPhone 4s I am willing to pay the insane amount of $650 for an unlocked iPhone with my $100 per year Prepaid plan on Tmobile for a total of $750. I am also willing to forgo the 3G features as a trade off, because just to be seen with an iPhone 4s really makes up for that!!
Agreed, makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!
That saves me, what? $200 plus about $80 per month/2 year contract minus my $850 (let's say I use $100 in Prepaid per year)... it saves me way over a grand over two years...
I know, I really should buy the iPod Touch and ducktape a cheap flip phone to it... the fact that I rather spend the extra dough to be seen with that nifty iPhone proofs your point, exposes my true agenda and I am totally embarrassed!
I also have a very very low IQ.

  • IPhone 3G sim lock...

    Folks,
Wanted to check now, is the 3G locked to specific approved carriers.. (e.g. in Australia that might be multiple carriers etc)
Or is it locked to the carrier whom you activated service with at the time of purchase?
I guess my point is that if I bought my phone in the US then when I travel abroad can I use a SIM card from an "approved" international carrier, one that is selling the iphone 3G in that country? like for e.g. O2 in the UK?

If you buy an iPhone 3G in the US, it is carrier-locked to AT&T, and cannot be used with 'local' SIM cards in other countries.
If you purchase the iPhone 3G in other countries, in some cases it comes unlocked, in others, you can request that the carrier unlock it.
See the following linked kbase article for information on carrier-locking policies for various countries:

  • Iphone 4 sim locked

ho comprato un iphone 4 in italia e ora sono in cina per lavoro, e le sim cinesi non funziona sul mio iphone e mi han detto che ho la parte telefonica bloccato da un operatore italiano, come posso sapere qual'è?

Carriers lock phones, Apple doesn't.  Similarly, carriers unlock phones, Apple doesn't.  Apple will, and can do nothing for you.  You need to contact the carrier to whom the phone is locked and find out IF they unlock their phones, and if they do, how you can qualify for unlocking.

  • IPhone 4, sim lock

    Greetings, I've got my iPhone as a gift from my brother which lives in US;
As he used it at the start, he bought it as not officially unlocked, because he lives at US... but sadly when i got my iPhone I live in Jordan, and the sim is locked, i dont want to try any kind of hacks or cracks that might wipe my OS.
Is there any way that i can turn my not officially unlocked iPhone into an officially unlocked one ? i am willing to pay cash for this just so that my iPhone gets officially unlocked

If iPhone comes from AT&T, you really have a fancy paperweight, as pointed above.
    See official AT&T FAQ:

If it comes from another operator, you may have some luck and you can go to check if operator contract will permit unlock, and under which terms.

  • Message "iphone desactivated" SIM locked.

I understand that i should use the PUK code, but is it possible to enter this code (I already have PUK code) ?

The problem is that I have tried to unlock with a wrong code, so I suppose that the SIM card has got locked.
When I turn on my iPhone, the first screen is "Hello, slide to set up". When i slide, i get an alpha numeric decimal keyboard asking to "seize the code" followed by four dots (or to call an emergency number).
The question is how can I enter the PUK code to reset my phone ?

  • Is american iPhone 3gs sim locked?

If I buy an iPhone 3gs in US i will can use it in Italy whit Omnitel?
    Thank's

The iPhone is sold in the U.S. as carrier locked with AT&T only. Activation with AT&T and signing a two year contract is required at the store when the iPhone is purchased.
Support and warranty coverage is honored in the country where the iPhone was sold only.
The iPhone is sold by Apple in Italy, so you should purchase an iPhone there where you will have support and waranry coverage.

  • What are the 'sim lock' laws? Seriously.

I really can't find any up-to-date info on the sim lock laws or if there are any. Supposedly late last year there was a law put into place where service providers are required to give you the unlock code if requested.
AT&T did this for me without hesitation but Verizon basically told me to bugger off. I thought it was due to my not having a contract but they just kept claiming that they either didn't know what I was on about or that they were not able to find the information or that they just didn't have the ability to do it. I just want to be able to call them and quote something real of what the law says. My understanding (confirmed by AT&T rep) is each service provider can supply unlock codes for ONLY their branded phones, but everyone is reqiured to do so when asked. I thought.

Nah, you thought wrong, sorry. At least there is no federal law in the US to that effect, perhaps some one or two states have passed something like that although I don't remember it -- and I do sorta keep up with stuff like this.
Anyway. Correct, a carrier 'may' give you the unlock code for a device bought from them. If they want to. If you have service with them. If your account is in good standing. If you've been a customer for 90 days. Different carriers in the US have different polices, the above is/was ATT's and Tmobile's.
Verizon has in the past provided unlock codes to customers of good standing and if asked, when buying a device at full price, off-contract. I don't think that has changed.
If you need a device unlocked inexpensively from a reputable vendor, I'll recommend BlackBerry Unlocks to you. I'll vouch for them, and I think you'll be pleased.

  • Sim lock problem

I have bought 2 iphone 4 sim free from Apple store barcelona passeig de gracia store in 29 January 2013 .In 31 January , we came back to our country , Turkey , i have made the iphones registered officially .However the registration stuff told me that our iphone have sim lock and we cannot use them with our sim cards in Turkey and we have to make sim locks opened and they demand 230$ for each iphone .We bought the phones as sim free so is this true that the iphones have sim lock or do we have to wait for a while to get them opened with our sim cards ?

If your iPhone is locked to German Tmobile, then German T-mobile
is the one that has to unlock it. If German T-mobile requires a 24 month
wait after purchase, then you will have to wait until December 2013.
If you do not wish to wait that long, suggest you sell the iPhone to someone
who can use it on German T-mobile and use the proceeds toward an
iPhone that works on the Carrier your wish to use.
Apple cannot unlock your iPhone, only German T-mobile can.

The voice activation wil not allow me to type in the numbers for some reason. I have turned it off and on about 7 times now. please please please can someone help me?

If you bought the iphone in the US and it is locked to a specific carrier, then you can't use a different sim (from another carrier).  Is this your situation?
Otherwise I'm not sure what you mean by "trying to unlock my SIM".  In which country did you buy the iphone?  Who's your carrier?
