Hi All,
I want to know in what way does .wlnotdelete & EmbeddedLDAP.lok helps us, and how does this both have relation.
What might be the behaviour/output, if we don't delete these files when we bounce the server.

We need not to delete these files manually by our own. As the name suggest *".wlnotdelete"* (Dont delete this directory until unless we dont have any other alternative). Same case with *"EmbeddedLDAP.lok"* file. These are WebLogics internal stuff..we should not alter them or delete them. "wlnotdelete" contains the compiled version of our EJBs/WebLogic Internal EJBs...webservice compiled artifacts..etc these are usually generated by weblogic.appc task.
.wlnotdelete (commonly known as weblogic Cache in weblogic 8.1 terminology) But some times we are force to do this ...when due to some IO errors the Files placed inside this directory gets currupted ...so next time when we try to start Our Servers ...WebLogic tries to read the content (Cached Contents) available inside this directory ...If the data gets currupted ..sometimes Server will not start or We get many application related Errors...So in this scenario we are forced to Delete this directory. Once in a while it's OK to delete this Directory if we see any issue...But if we see issue is happening very frequently...we mush try to findout the root cause. There may be many reasons behind this.
EmbeddedLDAP.lok file is used to ensure access consistency to the LDAP information.The EmbeddedLDAP.lok file ensures that only one WebLogic server can access an embedded LDAP instance. In some cases WebLogic Server Might shutdown without allowing the embadded LDAP Server to unlock the data. If this happens then the Server will go into a loop, waiting for the file to be removed and printing out a warning message. So in these cases it is recommended that we delete this file and try to restart the Server.

Any way to get more statistics and response-time info from cache processes?

I'm currently involved in an evaluation of Coherence for use as a global in-core cache/DB for data in the GB range. We'll try to run multiple cache process per cache in order to stay below 512MB heap-space per cache process.
In order to tune cache access times and understand the dynamic behaviour of the app we'd like to see some statistics info for cache access, e. g.
- requests processed per cache (process)
- requests answer time (per request, min, max, avg, median etc.)
- request answer size (number of cache entries returned, size of entries etc.)
- whatever else that helps ...
We are in position to get this kind of statistics info on the application side (when we call Coherence-APIs) but we'd need to see the statistics on a technical level per cache process.
We know about JMX/MBeans but that does not allow us to come up with log-files for statistical analysis and there is no way to correlate requests from the application to any statistics information (what request did cause what effect).
Any way to tell the cache processes to provide this kind of (logging) info (mesurements per request) and some summary.

In addition to statistics that you can collect at the client tier (measuring the latency of individual cache calls), you could use a number of attributes exposed by the ServiceMBean.
If you look at a ServiceMBean for your partitioned cache service, the RequestAverageDuration and RequestMaxDuration attributes describe the latency of the underlying communication tier as seen from the client and does not include the serialization/deseriation cost.
The TaskAverageDuration, TaskMaxBacklog and ThreadAverageActiveCount expose the latency and expenses as seen by the server side, excluding the network tier expenses.
Also, there are number of statistics exposed by the CacheMBean related to the underlying backing map efficiency such as AverageGetMillis, AverageHitMillis, AverageMissMillis and AveragePutMillis.
You can also create your own subclasses for backing map implementation and implement custom MBeans that would expose any addition information you wish to collect.

Equium A210 171 What info do i need before i use the recovery disk?

Hi,
I have 1 recovery disk that came with my equium, haven't used it before.
On the back of the recovery disk envelope it says "insert the first disk"
I'm assuming there should be a second?
Also what info will i need to provide during the install process? like serial number?
All i have is a black and white sticker that's on the side of the box it came in, but that was so long ago.
I'm having lots of issues with windows installer not running and many others,
Windows updates won't work either and i've tried to fix those but a clean reinstall of the os was recommended.
Now at this point nothing will install because windows installer won't work.
So i think i wil lhave to attempt a clean install, but i'm not even sure the cd drive will work.
I have gotten a great run out of this laptop, bit slow for my needs today but over all great product, bought in 2007.
With a clean os and 4 gigs of ram this thing could last for years more, can't afford a new one right now.
I have really tried to avoid using a recovery disk in the past, as i've never had any serious issues till now.

Im wondering why you get such disk together with your notebook why? Because I did not get the recovery disk but I had to create one using the Toshiba Recovery disk creator software
But my notebook is newer than your A210 this might be the reason why you got such disk
I created a recovery disk and I needed two DVD disks I think these depends on the image file size

This is not needed because your system was already activated.
But I recommend to backup your personal data because the recovery disk would format the whole HDD and you would lose the files.

LR 5 "encountered error reading preview cache need to quit.

LR main menu screen appears, but message pops up "encountered error reading preview cache need to quit. Restarted several times but no change. Message indicates it will attempt to resolve next time it starts, issue still remains

In your Lightroom folder, which is by default installed in the My Pictures folder (Mac: Pictures) you will see a file with an extension of .lrdata. This is the previews file. Remove it.
Restart Lightroom. The previews will then be rebuilt.

To delete the preview cache, do this:
1. Quit Lightroom.
2. In your Operating System, locate your Lightroom catalog. Typically catalogs are in /Pictures/Lightroom on Mac and My Pictures\Lightroom on Windows.
3. Find the folder whose name ends with "Previews.lrdata" and delete it. (note, you may also have a folder whose name ends with "Smart Previews.lrdata." You shouldn't need to delete that one.)

What info will I need with me when I go to buy an Iphone. And do I have to have to AT&T account holder with me in order to buy an iPhone and activate it in the store? I might go to best buy or the apple store

If you go to the Apple Store they will require that the account holder be present to do the upgrade. At least that's the problem I ran into when I tried to get my iPhone 3G. Technically, AT&T does allow Authorized Users to perform upgrades without the account holder present but I do not believe that whatever system Apple has in place allows them to do that (that's the impression I got when I was trying for my iPhone 3G). Best Buy should be able to do it for you if the account holder makes you an Authorized User on the account.

1) Index cache is buffer where the index pages are located .and Index pages consists of pointers and these pointers tell you where the data blocks are located on the disk.
2) Data Cache is buffer where essbase created to store uncompressed data blocks
3) How about .pag files ? I guess these files consists of the data block information ie data values.
4) then How about .dat files? What these files exactly contain.
5) Data file cache is buffer where essbase creates to store compressed data blocks. I read that data file cache will be created only if you are using direct i/o .. why you need data file cache as essbase is taking data directly from disk.
6) calc cache is goiing to be created to store the blocks that are needed for calculation

A file that contains data blocks. Essbase generates the data file upon data load and stores it on disk. Essbase names data files incrementally—essxxxxx.pag, where xxxxx is a number starting
with 00001.

LR4 error when reading from its preview cache, needs to quit

I'm getting the above message. Lightroom says it will attempt to fix this problem the next time it launches,
requiring me to click OK and the program closes. When I relaunch it, I see the same message.
I'm on a PC w/ Win7; I updated LR4 with the 4.1 download recently to enable it to read the 5DMarkIII raw files.

Not sure what cache you are talking about. LR only refers to two 'caches' -
the acr cache which stores part-rendered images to speed up rendering in
Develop, and a video cache which does something when you use videos. The
catalog and previews are stored in another folder, along with a previews.db
and a rootpixels. db which store info on the previews.
If you are having trouble as you describe, you need to delete the previews
folder (including the two .db files) just leaving the catalog. Then you need
to clear the acr cache (under Edit/preferences/File handling/camera raw
cache). Then regenerate all your previews in LR (select your main parent
folder, and tell it to build all previews). If you have a lot of images,
best to do this overnight.
Then all the various caches, databases, previews, and catalog should now be
in sync again, and you shouldn't see that error.
Not sure what textextractor is but if it interferes with LR, I'd get rid of
it.

You can back up your device, either to iCloud or to your computer using iTunes, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766. If you need to know what version of iOS you are using, go to Settings>General>About and read the number across from Version.

My Time Capsule says it is full. It has duplicate info. I need to empty it and reload. I just switched to the new OS (ML) and cannot find how to do it in Airport Utilities. Help!

I need to strip out my time capsule and reload info from computer. It says it is full, but actually has duplicate info as I took all of my files out of an older computer and put them in the new one. It is 500GB, but I only have half of thayt on my computer. I want to start over. I downloaded instructions to do it with airport utility, but in the new OS there is just a picture of my time capsule and no way to get to "manual" to delete info and reinstall. Any help out there? This is an entirely different problem than you described in your intial post. Probably all you can do is pull the power, wait a minute and see if the Time Capsule will restart when you power it up again.

Two Clear System Cache Needed in Two Days since 602 Update

I found out why my battery is worse with the 602 update. Appararently my phone is NEVER GOING TO SLEEP. I forget the name of the service that was keeping it awake. I think it was com.motorola.service.main. After the clear cache, it was good for a day. I took a couple of phone calls and exchanged some text messages and noticed again that my phone was warm. Sure enough, it was stuck again (100% AWAKE even when screen was off for long periods). I cleared the cache again and it has been fine overnight.
I really hope we do get another update because this one is not working too well on my phone (which had few issues with the prior 596 update).

You need to look at what you have installed.....if you have done a factory reset, leave all your apps off for a day and see if the phone itself is draining the battery. I just did a factory reset this past weekend (8/27) and before that, my battery use was attrocious, but after the reset it's not using up the battery as much. Before the factory reset, I had AFK (task killer) installed and I really think it was draining my battery, along with WeatherBug. I don't have those installed after the reset and I see a remarkable difference. Before it, I was having to charge my battery at work by the time it was noon (it sits on the charger at night so it has 100% when I leave for work), but since the reset, I have not had to hook it up to the charger at work. My battery mode is set to performance mode and that doesn't seem to make a difference, even though alot here would say it is gonna drain it the most.
You just have to play with it and see what works and what may be causing it, if that means taking off apps completely and putting them back on one by one to find any differences.

Here IsNull returns the Boolean value of variable [Dr%] if its true then inserts 0 else the percentage values of failed tests based on the total number of assembly tests performed.

Transparent Cache; Need separation for YouTube.

here I'm again trying to get some insight to my clients cache issues:
We recently wanted to separate Youtube traffic from the global cache pool and make a separate 3-cache pool, we hit a major issue, the moment we added the paramters/class-maps/policy-maps, we saw ACE dropping 80% of normal existing traffic and we were left with an outage of the web, the ACE just wont pass traffic, even after we removed the class-maps and polices and reloading the ACE module , had to reboot the c6500s

, We saw some buffer crunches but not sure, we are running A2(1.3) .
last year we had same config with ONLY mathcing URL /get_video.* and was working fine with dest_ip hashing,
this time we added the host www.youtube.com and 3 separate caches.
doesnt seem to make sense to us,
if anyone has worked to segregate U-tube , do share their config philosophy.
we are thinking about separate context or diff policies, but that's too much config related, still all options open.

if you had to reboot the cat6k this is not a ACE issue.
The ACE module sits inside the cat6k but should be considered as an external device.
To separate Youtube traffic you need a new feature of A2(1.4) to hash the secondary cookie value.
CSCsq99736: ACE predictor hash url should not stop parsing at "?" delimiter
All video in youtube comes from the same url but with an option "watch?v=9LMTClqvCGs"
What you need to do is hash the value which can be done with A2(1.4).
This will guarantee that you always get to the same cache for the same video.
But your total meltdown was not the result of ACE.
Sth else must have happened.
If ACE was the problem, a reboot of ACE w/ a known-working config should have been enough.
Try not to reboot as a way to fix problems.
Call the TAC and let them troubleshoot your issue live.
