The documentation for TSO, along with that for all other EBS applications, is at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/documentation/applications-167706.html. Select your release version, and then, depending on version, navigate to either Communications/Utilities -> Telco Provisioning or Service -> Communications. There you'll find the Oracle Telecommunications Service Ordering Process Guide.

  • How to get Operating System Space Info from Oracle database using SQL

Our oracle databases are installed on Unix operating system. Currently our DBA wrote a view to get space info of table spaces and He is requesting me to add Operating system level(file system) drive space info to the same report.
Can you please let me know the easiest way to get this information to sql table so that it can be used for reporting purposes?

You should be able to create a shell script with the OS commands to generate the information for the mount points that you want to access in Oracle, then read it in as an external table using the preprocessor feature of external tables:

  • USER INFO in Oracle SOA 10g

    Hi All,
I am using Oracle SOA 10g (10.1.3.4). I wanted to know, who logged in into system and what time.
Is this possible to get this info?
    Thanks

do you use Fnd_profile.value('USER_ID') in 9i/10g? It can't be invoked in 6i, or I might miss something in my 6i.
USER is Reports User/Runner, or whoever run the report rdf.

  • Correct Contact Info under Oracle Magazine Script Submission

    Hello,
My name is Ilya Petrenko. I'm Sr.Oracle DBA of ICT Group, Inc, Newtown, USA. Once in a while I do submit some scripts/tips/techniques that would benefit Oracle developers/DBA/Oracle community. Last script that was submitted and published on web site has INCORRECT Contact Info. I'd like to ask to correct it since I'm not working somewhere else ( unless I will know that for sure ).
The information that I see through web is:
"This tip comes from Ilya Petrenko, a DBA at The EBS Group, in Lenexa, Kansas."
I'm a Sr.DBA at ICT Group Inc., in Newtown, PA.
Please let me know, if I have to provide any other info for this type of type.
    Regards,
    Ilya Petrenko.
P.S. To confirm my info, you can check other submissions by me from this and previous years.

    This information has been updated.

  • Use of APIs to update Absence info in Oracle HR/SSHR 11i

    Dear all,
    Use of APIs and Absences
    1. Can you please let me know which are the relevant APIs to update Absences Information into Oracle Human Resources Application?
    2. Where can I find relevant documentation on how to deploy these APIs?
Thanking you in advance for your feedback
    Best regards
    Elena

    Hi Elena,
You may find a list of the APIs in HRMS on Metalink. Just query for "APIs in HRMS". For absences you may use the following APIs: hr_absence_type_api, hr_person_absence_api
You may create a PL/SQL program to use these APIs or alternatively use web ADI to create upload integrators. You may have to write a custom wrapper before calling these APIs if required.

Can I get webbased OEM in 9i?In case of VPN access
where I wont have access to TOAD or OEM GUI,if I get
access to web based OEM this will help me alot to monitor.Check out OEM Grid Control (then, download), it can be used to monitor an enterprise of databases (even 9.x) and app servers, via web GUI much like that of Database Control.

  • Need info about Oracle SCM training institutes in Hyderabad

    Hii
Can anyone tell me which institutes give the best training for Oracle supply chain mgmt .Thanks in advance

For that sort of thing I suspect you want the partner network, not the technology network.
Or try contacting a local sales rep.
This definitely isn't the right forum.

  • I need info about Oracle SOA Success Methodology

    Hi all.
We're conducting a SOA/BPEL project and we are evaluating the Oracle SOA Success Methodology.
The documentation we have is available in the SOA Suite Developers Guide.
I'd like to know if Oracle has a more complete reference for this methodology available, so I can do a complete analysis.
    I appreciate any addicional documentation.
    thanks

  • Need infos on Oracle DBA certification exam

    Hi all,
I want to pass an Oracle 1àg DBA certification exam but i don't know what exam should i have to pass. on 2005 i've already passed teh exam IZ0-001 SQL and PLSL for oracle 9i but now i want to pass an OCA or OCP certification. can some recommand me which exam should pass.
I mean can i directly pass exam for OCP or i have to pass the OCA exam befvore OCP.
I want to know if OCA is prerequisite exam to pass OCP.
Is there a documents or any link which explain that process.
    Thanks.

Firstly, you must pass anyone of the below exams, they are non-proctored exams and you can take them by online. Take an account from http://www.pearsonvue.com/oracle/ and register anyone of the below exams.(Note:Enough only one exam you want)
    1Z0-007Introduction to Oracle9i SQL or
    1Z0-047Oracle Database SQL Expert or
    1Z0-051Oracle Database 11g: SQL Fundamentals I
And later yo will take "Oracle Database 11g: Administration I 1Z0-052" exam. If you pass this exam you will be an OCA.
After all you must complete one of the approved instructor-led online or in-class courses. This course is mandatory. After the course is finished you must take
"Oracle Database 11g: Administration II 1Z0-053" exam.
And the end you are an OCP, congratulations! :)

  • Need info regarding Oracle UCM Accounts and Security Groups behaviour

Need information regarding Oracle UCM Accounts and Security Groups behaviour.
    Oracle UCM version: 11.1.1.5.0
    Steps:
    1. Log in with "weblogic" user and created a content with id "content1"
    2. Applied "@acc1(R)" and "TestGroup1" to the cotent created in step 1
    3. Log out
    4. Log in as "acc1user1", the user is not able to see the "content1"
    5. Log out
    6. Log in as "role1user1", the user is not able to see the "content1"
    Account and Group information:
    1. User "acc1user1" is part of "@acc1(R)"
    2. User "role1user1" is part of "role1(R)" and is mapped to "TestGroup1" in UCM
    Expected:
Both "acc1user1" and "role1user1" should be able to see "content1" as they have at least Read permission.
Please help me understand why the users are not able to see the content.

ACLs, like Accounts, are optional security setting which may add on some extra functionality to mandatory security groups. Likewise, the resulting permission is taken as an intersection of SG and ACLs.
But in the second part the number of set of users is huge (approx say 600)I don't get this completely. Does this mean that those "sets of users" (users who see the same data) are distinct and that there is 600 of such groups?
If you read thoroughly the manual I sent earlier, there is a recommendation that there should be maximum 50 security groups, and you should use accounts, should this number be exceeded. This means you could have all the documents in one security group (and have one common role with Read permission), but combine it with accounts. ACLs are not a good choice here - their performance and manageability is much worse than of accounts. ACLs are primarily used if you expect security settings to change during the lifetime (e.g. a project manager adds temporarily rights to access an item to another user, and revokes it when the user finishes his or her work).
Note that accounts as well as permissions of users within accounts can also be mapped externally (from LDAP/AD) and it usually follows some kind of org chart.
I'd feel more comfortable not to speak about users, security groups, roles, etc., but about some real-life objects and scenarios.
