Info package not in M version

Hello,
When I change the object entry for the info package it gives me the error 'Info package not in M version'.
Similarly for DTP I get 'Log not found (in main memory)'.
Can anybody explain what is the problem & and how to proceed?

I develop a process chain where I extract data from ODS to Cube. Now I am getting an error. A info pkg for extracting data from ODS to Cube giving error message of InfoPackage ZPAK_XXX is generated; NOT able to be used as loading variant.
I am not able to understand why this error is coming ??

Version error while creating info package of data source 0fi_gl_10

Dear Friends,
I have replicated the data source 0fi_gl_10 into sap bw but while creating info package i am getting error " The DataSource 0FI_GL_10(E01CLNT200) does not exist in object version A". IS the manual activation always should be done for that ?

Hi,
Please check if the veriosn of DataSource is A or not. Sometimes it shows as active but if you open the datasource then it might be in modified version only. Do activate it manually, it will serve your purpose to create a infopackge.

Info Package filter for not pulling some materilas

Hi All,
I have requirement. I need to put filter in the info package for not to pull material no XXXX and YYYY.
I do know how to restrict in the infopackage. But in this case I need to write MATNR N0T EQUAL TO XXXX and YYYY.
Can you please provide me a code that I can write in the info package.

There are many way to achive this, few are:
1. Create a Infopackage routine and exculde the values u do'nt want.
2. Create a OLAP varriable and in customer exit exclude the values u do'nt want.
   To achive this u have to create a customer exit varriable in BEX the same will be reflected here.[Process
   of creating a OLAP variable remains the same as is done in case of query's]
3. You can exclude values by including all the values around the ones you dont want:
   Let's say you don't want types 103 and 506. In your infopackage, input three intervals:
   001-102
   104-505
   507-999
   You can add more rows for your product type selection by hitting the "insert duplicate row" button, next to the check-button on the bottom left corner.
4. Load the data and then delete the records in DTP Filter, start routine or end routine. This will lead
   to large data set being loaded better approach is to delete the data at Infopackage leavel.

Info Package Selection Language key is not diplaying while this is checked

i am facing an issue in BI 7.0
in Info Package Data Selection Tab "Language key field" is not diplaying while this field is checked as a Selection option in R3 Data source.
How can i put Language key field in Info package data selection

Hi,
Please see OSS note 1033537 .Even if langauge selection is available in infopackage it wont work .Tthe only way to restrict a particular language is in DTP or in transformation routine. Infopackage will extract all the language that is installed in BW system and you have to place your restriction in DTP or transformation.

Hierarchy info-package list not available when adding to process chain.

Knowledgable experts:
We are on BI 7.0 and I'm trying to add an info-package for a hierarchy load to a process chain.
The process chain already exists with master data text loads and attribute loads.
I want to add a hierarchy load to the process chain.
- When I select Execute Infopackage process type the pop up box to 'Insert Execute Infopackage' is displayed.
- The Load Data dropdown box does not display any infopackages to choose from. The infopackage does exist and executes correctly.
Why can't I see any infopackages in the dropdown box?
We are on SAPKW70013 Support package.

This is a new install, no upgrade.
I think I found that I need to do a Save Hierarchy process type to get the hierarchy in the process chain.
However, I would still have the question, why I don't see any of my transaction data loads that are in 3.x formats?
I will look at the OSS note.

Data target is not available when creating an info package in BW

Hi,
I am not sure how, but I have accidentally deleted the info packages for one of the info sources. I have created init package successfully, but when I try to create a delta info package for the data mart, the data target( which is an info cube) is not appearing in the data target tab.
Any help in this issue is higly appreciated.

PRASHANT ASOPA , did you find a solution to this - I am facing a similar situation! I have tried almost everything including deleting and recreating the update rule, recreating the export datasource, activating everything a couple of times and of course cretaing and deleting info packages, but no matter what I do I can't get the system to recognize the data target.
The "funny" thing is that everywhere else, even in the "Show data flow" everything looks right!

Maybe you found out already. I stumbled upon the solution by chance. Select all your notes (Command + A), then look under 'Window' in the Menu: there's the number of Notes you got.

Adding a field in data selection tab of Info Package

Hi,
You need check Selection in RSO2 in ECC then that field is available for Selectgion in InfoPackage.
Here I'm giving 0CUST_SALES_ATTR DataSource Example for Selection Change, so see the logic and accordingly you can change your DataSource Selections.
See the properties of that field in RSA2 in ECC and you can also make it for selection, use the following program and see it.
In ROOSFIELD table give the datasource 0CUST_SALES_ATTR and see , select only Active version Fields.
For the following fields you can find FIELD = X, it indecates that it is abailable for selections, so in this way you try to do it by using following program and check.
KUNNR
SPART
VKORG
VTWEG
REPORT ZBI_ROOSFIELD NO STANDARD PAGE HEADING .
tables ROOSFIELD.
Update ROOSFIELD set SELECTION = 'X' where
OLTPSOURCE = '0CUST_SALES_ATTR' and

Selection option in info package

Hello Friends,
While loading data in BW system (3.5 Version).
I would like to use selection option in info package for one particular field.
I can see only range options (Selection From and Selection To) which does not satisfy my requriement.
I need to select nearly 5000records which are in one specific number range, so, how can i select these records in infopackage.

Did you think of InfoPackage routine?
Try to write a routine under data Selection tab based on your data selection scenarios. I think you can achieve your goal.
1) Data selection tab - Type column, choose ABAP routine.
Whendo we use this?
when we cannot extract data selectively by giving direct conditions in selection tab, eg: "list all the employees who joined on the current date". here current date value changes every day when we run the query. In such cases we cannot give direct condition, we need to write routine to get the current date

Status of Info packages and process changes become yellow after Unicode con

Dear Friends,
We have been facing very critical issue in Production system after Unicode conversion.
Sequences of Details are provided for your reference.
1. We suspended all BW loads for 48(2 days) hours before Unicode starts and Handover the BW system to Basis.
2. Basis started doing Unicode conversion on BW and they found some standard jobs ( BI_* , Ex: BI_PROCESS_LOADING) which are released status and they assumed that these jobs would run any time so that they suspended all of them but they didnu2019t inform to BW team that they had done. We didnu2019t know that when they did that like pre-Unicode installation, during the Unicode conversion and post Unicode.
3. Basis handover the system to BW team for Unicode testing (we called five finger testing) and we didnu2019t find any issues in the testing. Again we handover the system to Basis for post installations settings for Unicode and back up things. That time we didnu2019t release any jobs to load data to BW because Basis didnu2019t inform us that we can start loads.
4. After post installation is done and basis told us that you can start loads from Monday. Entire Unicode activity had been done on weekend.
5. Before releasing all BW loads to run regularly, I found the all completed process chains status become yellow and I did further detailed analysis to find why; then found some more strange things those are as follows.
          1. Only info packages in process chains are become yellow and other process variants are fine like activation,
               DTPu2019s, index and DB stats.
          2. Requests in PSA which were completed successfully are become yellow.
          3. Info packages in the process chains are successfully completed are not updating correct status instead of green it
              showing yellow because of that other dependent objects are not triggering.
We all thought that suspension of standard jobs must have been caused the problem.
How can we change the status of IPs, PSA and process chains automatically?
We reactivate all PCu2019s and released to run tomorrow.
Could you please share your thoughts about the issue and help us resolve?

A couple of questions :
1. If your previous PC runs were in yellow status - it would not impact furute PC runs..
2. If your IPAKs are in yellow - then you might have an issue with deltas happening since the last status would have been shown as incomplete.
3. Suspension of the standard jobs will not affect the status since the jobs were suspended but not the actual loads i.e the loads were not stopped halfway but only the released jobs were stopped - you might have to schedule the process chains again to get back the old schedule.
Usually in a Unicode conversion - the data is exported out of the DB and imported back - this might have caused some inconsistency in the database for the RS tables used for the monitors.
Which version of BW are you in ..?
were there any errors in the export / import procedure for unicode conversion ?
As part of testing did you check if loads went through properly ..?
Was stats run on the tables after unicode ?
Also if possible regenerate all the indices on the files.
Rerun stats and indices for all RS* tables

Pacman packages list export without version number

Hi all!
I'd like to know if there is a way to export a package-list without the version of every package to be able to export the installed packages, edit the exported file and after that have a list which I can use to setup another computer with the same packages.
pacman -Q
just gives me the packages with version info and I need the package names separated by only one space.
Or is there another solution to export and then install the packages in a text-file?
For example:
Computer A: -> generate package-list
Computer B: -> import/read package-list from Computer A and tell pacman to install all those packages as well.

I should get into the shell a bit deeper soon
And to give something as well, here's the detailed reason I was asking. I put a little script into the ~/.kde/Autostart folder that creates that list of packages after each boot so when something "happenes" to the system (I know, it's not likely , I have a fairly recent package-list.
The script now looks like this:
sudo pacman -Q|cut -f 1 -d " " > packages.`date +%y%m%d%H%M`
and that list I will gladly "import" with your last command!
I don't know if this is useful for anyone else but me, but... anyhow

Cannot create Info Package

Hi
When i try create Info Packge for the Data Source 0SBO_CUSTOMER_ATTR i am getting information message as
"No extractor defined for DS '0SBO_CUSTOMER_ATTR' and SS 'FILE' - cannot create Info Package"

its giving same message after replication too,
info object 0customer is activated but in log it shows me error as
"Cannot save DataSource 3.x 0SBO_CUSTOMER_ATTR(FILE)"
and "DataSource 0CUSTOMER_ATTR does not exist in source system FILE of version A"
what should i do solve this problem

Info package ABAP Routine to populate date from and To filed

Hello Experts,
I have requirement to populate the From and To dates with the: T-1 to T (Current Date u2013 1 to Current Run Date aka Sy-Datum) at info package level.I have written a code for this but see that From filed is not getting populated but TO filed is filled with current date.Can someone please tell me wats wrongwith my code?It is a delta info pacakage.

Info Package ABAP Routine

For FIGL_4 there is both open items and closed items. i want to filter only Open Items Accounting doc no's records for Customers,Vendors,GL account at info package level.
There are 3 ODS's in BW side for Open items Customers,Vendors,GL accounts. i want to filter open items based on these 3 ODS's Active data table.But i am getting error when i execute the request in Info Package.

Now i am facing an error during data extraction from Source system
error message in BW system "Error occurred in the data selection " Data Package 1 : arrived in BW ; Processing : 2nd processing step not yet finished
when i checked in SM37 (R3 system) i found the job has been cancelled and Log of this job says
"Asynchronous sending of InfoIDOCs 2 in task 0001 (0 parallel tasks) DATASOURCE = 0FI_GL_4
ABAP/4 processor: SAPSQL_WHERE_CANT_SCAN
Job cancelled      "
it seems to me the Problem in Routine at Info Package level.
My Requirement is to fetch only those Accounting Doc. No. RECORDS from 0FI_GL_4 data source which are present in Active data table of BSID,BSIK,BSIS ODS's.
So i want to put logic at Info Package routine .
1) fetch all Accounting Doc. No. from Active data table of BSID,BSIK,BSIS Ods's and Match those Accounting Doc. No.'s with the 0FI_GL_4 data source Accounting Doc. No's.if a Accounting Doc. No. match with 0FI_GL_4 data source Accounting Doc no then that corresponding record from 0FI_GL_4 will go to the ODS
