I have transported a Request to Quality--it having errors
Error Message shown below
Object R3TRISIPZPAK_8EEM4THBUB1V11IHQLM060IMR is in repair status. Therefore, it cannot be imported,
Can any one pls suggest

If the transport has gone with Return Code 4 no need to worry
You create the Info package in Quality .
If the return code is 8 or 12
you need to collect all the objects in new request and transport them again

Now is it necessary to transport Infopackages and Process chains individually or is it enough to transport Process chains only(If v transport Process chains will the Infopackages will also transport)then how to assign a request to each one?
What I mean is,all Infopackages are in $TMP(Package),and Process chain is also $TMP,Now is it necessary to change the package for Infopackages as well as Process chain and Tranport only PC,Iam confused here,can anyone help me out?

Hi Balaji,
If you have created new infopackages then you have to transport them. It is not necssary to transport the info-packages if you have them in the process chain but have not changed them.
Also you cannot transport any BW object with $ tmp package. Assign a package and then transport the objects.
The best way to transport the process chain is from the RSPC screen. Click the transport button there and collect all the objects and transport them.

Any log for Info Package

Dear Experts,
I have a info package which has been included in the process chain. It scheduled everyday.
Now somebody changed some settings in InfoPackage like data selection and processing tabs.How do i know that who has changed the settings.
If i look at the info package it says ALEREMORE becoz everytime its been triggered by process chain.That means you have last change name only.
If i want to find out last one weeks changes, HOW DO I ?

I have checked in the given table, Unfortunately there was only one record there which was done by ALEREMOTE(i.e Today's log). Since i told you that i need a log for entire last week.
That means rsldpio table maintaining last changed time only.but i need complete log list for the last one week.
Please help me

I have installed Enterprise XIR2 onto a Windows 2003 server and all services are running.I have installed the client on another windows 2003 server and I can connect to the console via the web.
Firstly desktop intel would not work and gave me the error below, however a new entry appeared in my server dropdown with servername (.Net Portal) and after selecting this Desktop intell worked.
When I try to run designer I dont get the extra server in the dropdown nor does it connect when tryped manually and gives me the same error I was getting for desktop intel.
Im using enterprise authentication
Has anyone figured this out please?

The [repo_proxy 13] error seems to be a catch-all for BO in that I've worked with this software (XI R2) for 1 1/2 years now and each time I've encountered [repo_proxy 13] it has been for a different reason, thus, you're going to have to apply troubleshooting checks all over the place until you find the problem. In my particular case I just resolved my [repo_proxy 13] error I've been working on this week, and here was my scenario. Our server in the lab died due to a hard drive failure, so we cut our losses and installed a new & more powerful server. When the rebuild was done I could not connect from my laptop to the repository via Designer (good old [repo_proxy 13] error). After much angst, etc, etc I found out that the servers in the CMC (/businessobjects/enterprise115/admin/en/admin.cwrwere">http://<server>/businessobjects/enterprise115/admin/en/admin.cwrwere) were all down except for one (even though CCM showed all servers "up"). When I went to start the servers in the CMC I was prompted for an account, and no matter what account I tried it won't work. So I went back to the CCM servers and stopped them all, then changed the default account it was using from LocalSystem to the administrator account, restarted all servers in CCM, went back to CMC and noted that all servers were now up as well. Then I went back to my laptop and used Designer and was able to successfully log in. Thus, the end of my story, however, it seems that many [repo_proxy 13] errors have different beginning and endings. For instance, a year ago I had the same [repo_proxy 13] error and brought it to BO tech support. They determined that I had to uninstall my client from my laptop, clean out the registry for any references to BO keys, and remove the c:\program files \Business Objects folder, then reinstall, and sure enough it worked in that case, but not in this case when I tried it again. By digging deeper I found out the root cause to my current problem, and voila, I'm in!

Error while transporting PCs and Info packages frm dev to qa

Hello Guyz
First of all, I am new to this forum. Heard a lot about it, and I hope I can learn a lot by the exchange of information in this forum. I ve already gone through so many threads, and have gained a lot of insight in BW.
I have an issue, where I am transporting process chains and info packages from dev to qa. But the transports have thrown errors, saying that the 'Source System XXXCLNTXXX does not exist and info package has been deleted'.
My question: How can I transport these objects in such a way that the loads which were going from ECCDEV to BWDEV, now go from ECCQA to BWQA? Are there any settings in SE09 or SE10 or somewhere in BW where I can do this?

Anyways.....I think there is some problem in the Client name.......Just check the Source system name in RSA1...........if it has been changed somehow........then run transaction BDLS and change the source system assignment........

Info package in a PC failed

Hi Experts,
An Info Package in a PC has failed.
When I see the status tab it shows that "Request Successfully Updated in the data target"
But the status is Red.
It is a Master Data
Please help me in this regards.
Should I Manually change the status to green ?

Hi Ashwin,
In the Infopackage monitor screen, go to the details tab. In that check if the following mentioned tabs have completed successfully
1) Extraction
2) Transfer
3) Processing
If everything is green and processed sucessfully, then it means that ur request has been updated successfully in the datatarget
Also sometimes it may occur that your Request might have run for a longer time than usual and crossed the maximum wait time settings defined..to cross check this... goto
In the infopackage monitor screen goto Setting--> Incorret waiting time for status, and check what value is present there, if the IP run time is more than the value defined there, change it temporarily and refresh, then the request should turn to green..
This should help i believe...

SQL SERVER 2014 - Project consistency check failed. The following inconsistencies were detected: package.dtsx. has a different ProtectionLevel than the project.

I am getting the following error when I right click on a package in solution explorer and execute using SQL Server 2014:
Project consistency check failed. The following inconsistencies were detected: package.dtsx. has a different ProtectionLevel than the project.
Luckily my solution only has 10 packages. I have verified and re-verified that everyone is set to dontsavesensitive.
I have verified and re-verified that the solution has the protection level to dontsavesensitive.
What on earth is going on here? I am using windows authentication and have no need for the package to save any sensitive information, nor should there be any.
Can someone please help me out here?

Just as the error message said, the exactly issue is that the package package.dtsx has a different ProtectionLevel property value than the project.
So please double check the value of project ProtectionLevel property, like DontSaveSensitive, then make sure all packages in the project use the same ProtectionLevel value.
If there is still an error message indicated that some packages use a different value, please right-click the indicated package to select View Code, then make sure there is a line like below(the DontSaveSensitive
protection level corresponds to the value of 0):
DTS:ProtectionLevel="0"

Failed info package, failed request turns from red to green after 1 hour so

There is a failed info package and if u go to monitor screen, the request status will be red in colour but then the same request after 1 hour or so turn from red to green automatically, why is this, what could be the possible reason??????????

Hi Lieu.
The system automatically sets the status for the load to incorrect if the waiting time is exceeded. The load will still be running even though it might look incorrect, and that is why it turns green when it is complete (and everything is correct).
You can set the waiting time if you go to the monitor -> choose a request -> settings -> waiting time up to status incorrect (ctrl + F9).

I cannot logon to system from my client applicaitons...DeskI and Designer using 2 tier mode. However, I can logon to system using 3 tier mode.
Does anyone knows anything about this issue? I have reinstalled BOE XI R2 SP2 with FP 2.6 and reinstalled my client applications as well, but still have this issue.
Error Message: [repo_proxy 13] SessionFacade::openSessionLogon with user info has failed(CMS host 'KTAZD429' cannot be found on the network. Please verify the name and that network name resolution is working properly.(hr=#0x80040801)

The good ol' "repo_proxy 13" error has reared its ugly head at you, huh?
In my experience "repo_proxy 13" can be caused by one of several symptoms, so it's going to be a case of try this or try that before you get it resolved. My last experience with "repo_proxy 13" was that I had a server running on a stand-alone network with no DNS, Firewall, or connection to the outside Internet (basically a lab), and when I brought other workstations/laptops in and try to connect, the "repo_proxy 13" would appear. I finally resolved this by hard-coding the IP address on all machines under the 192.168.1.xxx subnet, and voila, the problem went away. Now this may not apply in your situation, but it might. Just some thoughts, but no guarantees on resolution.

Transporting Info package

I'm trying to add info package into transport request but I'm not finding the way how to add this. If we transport cube/info- object we can go to extra and click Object Directory entry and change local package into our package . Other way is Go to directly Transport and then select what we want to transport and find object and then we can collect in transport request.
In info-object as I couldn't see Object directory entry under extra and I couldn't find this info-package in TRANSPORT Tab.
Please can you suggest what I'm missing as I've tried these steps 3-4 times but doesn't seem anything is missing.

Process chain failed at info package level

hi experts,
i have a process chain for IS_QLTMR, it is loading data to IC_QLTMR, every day it is running successfully, but today at infopackage it has failed in details tab it is showing bellow error message.
Object requested is currently locked by user ALEREMOTE
what is it mean, how can i solve my problem,
please advice me to solve this,

This time its correct. As last time , it was locked, so may be it has picked only 18000 records before lock occures.
However, to know the correct data, go to your source system and check in RSA7 how many records are there.
For active update rule, check your update rule whther its active. If not, then you have to activate the update rule. If you are in production and you dont have authorization, then raise a ticket for this.

When i ran the brconnect manually i received the same error (This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem)
When i ran brconnect using cmd.exe i received the following error

I think is important mention this, i had problem 1 setp before about the brtools 7.00

Ok Markus, i did the following
First i downloaded vcredist_<platform>.exe from Microsoft web page and retry the installation
And the following error i got
Operative System open's a Window that say following

Error while creating Info Package

Hi,
I am new to SAP-BW .Could anyone help me in fixing the following error .
I have created an Info source for characteristic data and then trying to create a Infopackage to load master data , I have used the characteristic Material Number(IO-MAT) in this case .
When creating the Info Package I got two data sources in the pop up , Material number (Master data)IO_MAT_ATTR and Material number (Texts) IO_MAT_TEXT .
I was able to load data from a flat file into Data Source Material Number (Master data) But when I was trying to follow the same procedure and load the data for 'Material number(Texts) IO_MAT_TEXT' it gives me the following error .
Select the Language field in the source system -> Long Text
I am not able to figure out and proceed further. Pls help me out.

I have another question..I was able to fix the error regarding info package but unable to load the data..(data load is being failed)
In the DataSource/Transfer Structure I have LANGU , /BIC/ZB4_MAT (Material Number infoobject which i created) and TXTSH Fields ..
the flat file which i used has Language, MaterialNumber,description pattern alone..
(eg . E , M001,cookie ) and when i try to load this data..and check in the Monitor - Administration Workbench..it shows as unsuccessful..

Steps to create Generic data source:
If you want to extract the data from MM table in BI Please follow the below steps.
1) Create a view on that table By going in to se11( Do this for future purpose, no need of joining conditon as of now why because view is containing only one table at this juncture)
2) Go to RSO2, create generic data source based on view and designate this datasource under mm application component, it helps to replicate easily from the source system in BI side.
3) While Creating datasource make sure that field selections and selection criteria for fields.
4)Assign it to a package(specified by the team) for transportation purpose. Make sure the dependencies also will be going through request other wise the request may fail.
5) Replicate the generic datasource in BI System(by going in to the mm appln comp under r/3 source system)
6) After replication do create info package, transformations and dtp also.
7) Trigger the Info package and then DTP.
now data will be there in your data target in BI system
Steps to create standard data source
1> Go to RSA5 ,Select what data source u want , CLICK Transferstructure.
2> After dooing this u can see the structure in RSA6 , if u want to do any customozation by adding extra fields u can do it her , if not no need.
3> go to RSA3 and check if the structure is pulling data or not .
BW SIDE
4> Select Source system ->Replicate data source
5> create Transfer rules , update rules and cube and u are done
6> u can create a infopackage and schedule ur data load into the cube or ods.

Selection Option question in Info Package

We would like to stop update Master Data if no master data exists for a characteristics. I found there is a selection options in Info Package Update Tab called "Do not update data if no master data exists for a characteristic"
I added a row in one of the InfoObject which has been used in another InfoObject as an Attribute. I selected this option in the IP and tried to re-load Master Data, and it didn't fail.
What does this option do?

After I load the last row to ITMPLN, I would like to see the error message instead of adding 004 into ITEM InfoObject. Do you know how to do it?
