RWD Info Pak Launch pad.

We are using this product Info Pak to create our BPP's and now want to make this documentation avaiable in the SAP Help context. I've been told that this is possible using the Launch Pad feature of Info Pak.
I do not see this available with our installation.
Does anyone have experience with this product or know where I can find information on how to insert the documentation?

Hi Den!
There are 3 types of installs available when you first install RWD Infopak--> author install, admin install and all install.
If you have the author install on your system, then you won't be able use the Launchpad feature. Only the admin & all installs have the Launchpad & Web Architect which are primarily used to build a website. I can send you the user manuals for Launchpad & Web Architect to your personal email if you want.

Upgrade from Info Pak 5.7 to RWD uPerform 4.3

They have entrusted me to analyze the feasibility of to update our installation Info Pak 5.7 to RWD uPerform 4.3, nevertheless I do not find major information it brings over of the tool " uPerform Migration Wizard ". Might they indicate me where I find technical specifications relative to Info Pak's migration to uPerform?.

The Migration Wizard can be installed during installation of the uPerform client software.
You must have an administrator installation of Info Pak 5.51 or higher on
your computer in order to install the Migration Wizard.

Problems with RWD Info Pak 5.5 and SAP 7.2

Hi, since the new SAP GUI was installed, I've been having problems with RWD Info Pak 5.5. I start to record Event step in SAP and when I stop and go back to the word document, Info Pak will not record any of the steps but might record pieces of snapshots.
Is anyone else having this problem or know if there is a fix?

Similar problem here, after updating xorg and nvidia driver the system freezes with nvidia logo on display and caps lock and scroll lock leds blinking.
I got nvidia geforce 7300.

RWD info pak help launch pad help!

We have a custom help setup using RWD info pak in SAP. Now there is a web redesign and the web people want to change the path to the files uploaded in the help launchpad and also delete some of the transactions. What impact would it have on SAP if such transactions are deleted and what would be the time and effort involved. I am talking about more than 100 transactions here.

Info Pak RWD Configuration

We have done the import of RWD in ECC6.0 system and have also done the ABAP customization in the for RWD customized help and are using the BROWSER (not controlled) method. We are able to open a new IE browser when we request for the RWD customized help through any T-code.
But the problem what we are facing here it adds the following path u201C&P6=SU01::&F6=transaction_code&SO=relu201D to the URL given in the server location field in /n/rwd/zf0 tcode and the result ends up in the error u201CPage cannot be foundu201D.
Can anybody please provide us some inputs on how we can display sensitive context properly through web browser?
Please let me know if you need any further information.

Invalid Characteristic

Hi,
I come cross invalid characterisitc error while activating ODS. I got several replies that we have to change the data in PSA / allow that invalid char in RSKC. I would like to know what exactly happening while activating ODS and how SID's will be generated.
In the current DSO, I have material and 0Vendor is an attribute for 0Materail. Obvisouly I cannot modify 0Vendor in PSA as it was defiend as attribute for 0materail. As per details tab it is saying datapacket 117 failed with "invalid char' for 0Vendor. But how how PSA will get data for master data.
And even if 0Vendor has invalid char, it should throw an error while loading data for 0material.
Pls clarify all the above questions.

Steps of Including one special characters into permitted ones in BI
U can follow these steps for any master data that shows invalid chars error
1) edit the records in psa
2) if the records are more, then while scheduling in info pak, in Tab Update, goto error handling,
select the 3rd radio button, so all the records will be extracted then later u can edit them, and schedule error package.
3)Load all the invalid char in a flat file and then load.
4) write up a code , which is mentioned in the blog
5) for material master, goto tcode OMSL and check on the box lexicographical, and then reload, it will work, and then load vendor.
6) goto se11 >RSALLOWEDCHAR and give these !"%&'()*+,-/:;<=>?_0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ and execute, then goto contents, all these should show up

LOAD process questions

Hi Gurus,
I have to load an ODS1 from another ODS2. I want to delta enable the future loads.......I assume that the steps are to first INITIALIZE AND then do the deltas. When i right click ODS2 to update ODS data into data targets it gives me 3 options, "Full Update"- which i dont want to do, "Initial Update" and "Fill data Targets with Inits/Deltas Initial". Which one do i choose among the two???? After this steps how do i do the delta updates??? how will i integrate the delta process into a process chain??? where do i find the info package for an ODS to ODS load????

Hi,
When you are loading data from ods1 to ods2 with delta options follow the below sequence.
1.Identify the exported data source/ Info source
Example:8ODS1 is the infosource/data source name.
2.Some times you can not see that infosource in Infosource tree,that time in menu bar you choose settings > display generated objects option,then you can find that infosource/data sources.
3. Create info pak under IS->Source system-> with Init and schedule it.
4. Create another infopak with delta update and schedule it,if you want to enable delta in process chain add this infopak in process chain with variant.
5.If you want to load data with full update for ods2,after initialization you create one more info pak and select repair full request in menu bar and schedule it under exported data source/infosource (8ODS1).

Request not updated to any datatarget in BI 7

Hi Experts,
We have working in BI 7.0.
1. There are delta loads are coming from LO extraction. As it is BI 7.0 till PSA data will be pull by Info Package afterwards DTP is going to take care to load further data targets. I can able to see the delta in my DSO but in data source level u201CUpdated Requestu201D was blank. And in Request update u201Crequest not updated to any data target using deltau201D. Even it showing this message but in DSO there is request number from DTP. Is any delta records are missing? If we are using DTP then it has update the Update Request as "Request Updated in data target" in data source level, correct?
2. In order make delta from DTP. As we donu2019t have Init in DTP can we put Full load for initialization then another delta DTP. Hence Full is going to take care of Init in DTP?

what do you mean by "If I check in Data Source level Manage?" .. are you talking about PSA manage?
Let me guess..
You want to track a request which is in the dso...
go the datasource(in BI) under your DSO.. you will find Info Pak's.. select the delta info Pak and click on monitor button on the top.. from there see the latest one and from there go the DTP and see whats the request Nbr whicg got into that DSO...
There are bunch of other tables which will give you the same info as well.. like RSDSREQ*...
and the last part " i.e what I'm wondering?".. Is that a question or statement.. I did not get it!

The newest version is the RWD info Pak 5.7. There is another product of RWD, the Help LaunchPad (it's necessary to do a transport and a customizing in SAP).
You can take all in the swdc of SAP.

Where is the Metadata Repository Stored?

Hi Experts,
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the very useful Metadata Repository in SAP accessible through the workbench. What I've been trying to figure out, however, is where the data used to populate that repository can be found. There must be a method through which the repository is populated for any given object, and it stands to reason that the data is captured in some repository tables.
I need to find those tables so that I can extract some metadata information from them. Specifically, I need to transformation InfoObject Source and InfoObject Target.
Hopefully someone knows SAP well enough to help out!

Delta has gone wrong?

Please go through this scenerio.
We are updating data from R/3 to ODS and then finally to cube.Now we have started loading Deltas.There are allready a huge amount of data both in ODS and Cube.One of the Delta which is available in ODS and had been updated to cube is not having correct data.So I need to delete that data.How can go for this.After that delta allready we are having a many deltas.But only the data available in that delta is not correct.

There are couple of solution among them one is
If its a fullload up to ODS and Delta to the cube.
Then select the wrong data request dlete from that to upper words requests in the cube .
go to the ODS and remove the data mart status in the ODS manage and then
schedule the info pakage it will bring the data .
If its delat Up to ODs and agian a delta to cube . In this case u need to delete the
request from the cube under upper requests as well from that day and then
manually remove the data mart Status in the ODS manage from that day request it
will automatically dete the status for all the above requests in the ODS from tat
request upwords then run the info pak which is updating to cube now it will bring
all the deltas as a single request.

SRM to BW - init load

Hello Everyone,
i need to do a init load for datasource 0BBP_TD_PO_1. I know the function of init load, but i want to know the process for the initaliasation of the SRM init load. Do i need quiet time, how to perform init load like flushing the queue etc. I dont how the process of initialition of SRM data. Please provide the steps to perform initalisation process.

Hi Lasya,
SRM Init load is no different. Please donot get confused with LO cockpit.
I would definately prefer to do the init load at a quite time... I dont think I need a downtime though.
Steps to do this:
Check in RSA7.. if you have any entries.
Open the info package...(Init Info pak)...and simply cilck on the start button.
I dont think you need to look into LBWQ1 and use the programs to manually run the V3 updates.
