Info Structure rebuilt historical data

Hi All,
Iam planning to rebuilt historical data some self defined info structures, i tried with one info structure for orders/deliveries/invoices, it took more than 36 hours, is there any way to reduce this time??

    Hi Gurus,
    We are running SAP since last two years and company is running since last 30 year but we have never used SAP S&OP. Now we want to use one. So far we have created info structure with required characteristics and key figures.
    Can you please suggest me the process of copying sales history into info structure?

    What the heck is S&OP?
    If you're talking about [LIS|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/c1/37544e449a11d188fe0000e8322f96/frameset.htm], then there is some standard functonality to populate the newly created info structures with the data from existing documents.
    Path in SPRO (may differ slightly, depending on the R/3 release):
         Logistics General
         Logistics Information System (LIS)
         Logistics Data Warehouse
         Data Basis
         Tools
         Setup of Statistical Data
         Application-Specific Setup of...
         Perform Setup u2013 Sales and Distribution
    But if you need to bring in sales history from a legacy system, you'll need to write an ABAP report for that.

    Hi All,
    I am new to info structure concept. Can someone help me out with the below query.
    I have a infostructure S998, for ISU sales statics. I can see a tranparent table corresponding to the same S998.
    This info structure has a date (BIS) as a characteristci field. the same field is seen in table S998. I am supposed to find out how is this field "BIS" in table S998 updated. Could someone guide me how to check the updation of this field?

    For SIS, all documents (if custo is activated) can update LIS :
    - Sales order --> Event : VA
    - Delivery --> Event : VC
    - Invoice --> Event : VD
    If you look at the custo of update rules for the standard analysis S001, you can see the link between key figures and event --> Tcode : MC26 for Infostructure S001 / Update group 1)

  • Deleted data of info structure

    Hi PP Gurus,
    As per user's requirement I changed selection field period to day in report MCIS info structure S818. At that time I click ok in warning message of deletion previous data with the business approver's permission. But now he is saying that he wants historical data. Can anybody help me in this how to recollect historical data?

    Thanks for your valuable help to me. I followed below steps -
    1) Regenerate order cost: File PMCO - Removed test run, selected my order types and executed
    2) PMIS: Statistical stup of infostructures - Info structure S818, save under version &(, number of parallel process 10, name of run TP02222012, packet size 1000 and clicked check box new run?. Then executed
    3) Copy / delete version of an info structure - Info stucture S818, clicked on copy + delete. source version &(, target version 000, alredy radio button selected no copy method and checked box do not copy initional records. Then executed.
    Suggest me me anything missed or any unnecessary step is there.
    Everything ran succesfully in development server, but in quality server I am unable to do third step. When I am doing this third step in background system completeing this job in few seconds where as in development server it took more than 2 - 3 hours. In quality server log is showing 0 records converted.
    Quality server is not allowing to do anything with version 000. Not allowing to take back up of version 000 or not allowing to delete data of version 000.
    Ajit this is critical issue for me. Any cost client want historical data of infostructure S818. I am worried that in development server system allowed everything correctly and not allowing in quality server. Then how can do in production server.

  • Recovering data lost during change of unit of time for Info structure S061.

    Dear Sir,
    I have changed the period unit from 'month' to 'week' through SPRO>Logistic Data Warehouse>Activate update.
    Due to this the data of Info Structure S061 is lost and when MCI3 transaction is executed the message " No Data found"
    message is shown.
    Kindly guide me how to get back the past data in MCI3.

    Hi,
    A update period of day/week will not work for S061. Any structure with costs must be set to month or posting period. See note [180047|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/180047].
    If you want to make cost evaluations in the information system, only use the period unit 'month' or the posting period.
    Once you adjust the customizing it will be necessary to rebuild the info-structure S061 with OLPM transaction. This works on the basis that a temporary version is created e.g. &(1
    This temporary version must then be copied to the live version 000 using transaction OLIX.

  • Date fields for info structure S032 are not generated

    Hi Experts,
    I am trying to update set up tables for '02'  using OLI2BW. I excluded some plants from selection and executed the set up. But the job run for few mins and completed with the message "Date fields for info structure S032 are not generated".
    I couldn't see any records in RSA3.
    Please through some light on this issue.
    Points reward for usefull help.

  • How to correct wrong data in SIS info structures

    Hi,
    Let's say at some point in time I configured the LIS wrongly such that the Sxxx (e.g. S001) tables were wrongly updated when I completed the sales order.
    So now I go back to the LIS configuration to correct it, the Sxxx tables data remain the same.
    Anybody knows which program I should run to correct the wrong data in the Sxxx tables? I have search in OSS notes and in this forum but could not find.

    You can remove the incorrect data from info-structure using transaction <b>OLIX.</b>
    Then you can reload the data using transactions:
    <b>OLI7 : Sales Order
    OLI8 : Delivery
    OLI9 : Billing</b>
    Be very careful when you execute transaction <b>OLIX</b>, delete only the <b>specific Sales Document</b> data which you want to. Then also reload those specific <b>Sales Document data.</b>

    Alternatively you can find a program whose name begins with "GP$ERR$" (search with "GP$ERR$*"). This program contains the incorrectly generated code.

  • How to populate historical data in the appraisal

    Hello,
    I am working in Oracle PMS module. Our requirement is to display historical data of an employee in the next appraisal cycle.
    Eg. If there are 3 appraisal cycle in a year. In the first appraisal manager will add objectives and competencies for an employee. lets say he added competency 1 ,competency 2,Objective 1 and Objective 2. after completion of the first cycle.
    When manager initiates the second appraisal. in the objectives block 2 values (Objective 1 and Objective 2) should be auto populated. Same as in competency block 2 values (competency 1 and competency 2) should be auto populated.
    Here manager can add more objectives or competencies.
    Please suggest how this can be achived.

    Then I have to write codes in the user exit for transactional datasources in RSAP0001?
    Ans : That's correct . Once you have done this on R/3 side, replicate the data source in BW side. Activate the transfer rules with appropriate mapping for 3 new fields and also adjust the update rules so that these 3 new fields are availble in Info providers.
    Are you able to provide some information on the errors that might arise during transports with the delta being active in the production system? Will data be corrupted? Will I need to clear the delta queue before the transport goes over?
    Ans : I assume that deltas are active in Production system . There is risk to your active delta into BW .
    Before your R/3 transports reach Production system , you need to clear the delta queue that means bring the number of LUWs for 2LIS_02_ITM to zero . Also stop the delta collector job in R/3 for Application 02(purchasing). Make sure that there are no postings (transactions /users are locked) so that there will be change in purchsing base tables.
    Then send your R/3 transport into Production system (Append structure , new fields + user exit code) .Replicate on BW side. Now send the BW transports to BW production system .
    I had done this earlier for 2LIS_12_VCITM and had a step by step proceduew written with me ....will have to search for that document . Let me know your email ID , will try to send it once I find the document

  • Info Structure

    Hi Friends,
    Is there any info structure which gives the list of open sales orders without entering material or customer. Similar functionality like VA05. However my client's purpose do not solve with VA05 because there we need to enter atleast a material or a customer and also we cannot enter a range of customers or materials. Please suggest.

    In VA05 itself, you dont have to input either the customer code or material.  It will populate all sale orders if you execute without giving any data.  On the other hand, you can also try with VA05N if you are in ECC6

  • Problem with Self defined info structure.

    We have Create some Self define Info structure Like ;--
    S061 Location  and Planning               --->S501
    S062 object class and manufacturer --->S502
    S063 Danage analysis                        --->S503
    S065 Object Statistics                         --->S504
    But probleme is when we excute S501 self defined info structure heading comes as
    Standard Analysis for Info Sstructure S501: Selection where as in Standard it is coming as Location Analysis: Selection
    Any one can tell how can i solve this probleme.

    steps to create own infostructure by copying standard infostructure.
    steps.... 1) First Create your own info structure using menu path SPRO> Logistics general > LIS > Logistics data warehouse > Data basis > information structure > maintain self defined ino structure Here create a New stucture called S901 (Follow Custom defined structure naming conventions) for application 07, by copying S115 .
    Once inside this Choose the Charateristic button below and CHOOSE SELECTION LIST.
    This will popup a list of fields that can be added to the structure for analysis per field catalogue.
    Navigate to the notification Object field catalog to select the Order number.
    Select other field as appropriate from other field catalog and copy them.Then select or de-select the "Key figures" thats relevant for your needs Check ,generate and activate the same structure and save.
    2) Create Update rules for updating this info structure by copying the rules of S115.
    SPRO> Logistics general > LIS > Logistics data warehouse > Data basis >Updating > Specific definition using update Rules > Maintain update rules.
    Enter the newly created Structure name and choose teh Update group 26 (use drop down) and enter the S115 and 26 as teh group and rules to copy from.
    Delete the rules thats not relevant for your needs and then check, and Choose "generate: and then activate the "UPDATING" and save.
    3) Activate the Update type for the new structure. SPRO> Logistics general > LIS > Logistics data warehouse > Data basis >Updating > Update Control > Activate Update.
    Choose PM and double click on the new structure that you had just created and chosoe Period and Type of updating (2: Similar to other standard info structures). and save.
    This should start updating New orders that you are creating from Now on.
    However if you would like to pre-populate existing data in this structure for analysis, then you would have to run through the generation program in background for this specific structure.
    SPRO> Logistics general > LIS > Logistics data warehouse > Data basis >tools > setup of statistical data >Application specific setup of statistical data > perform setup - PM.
    Here make sure to do the PMIS statistical setup (This might be redundant, if you havent changed any value category that updates PMCO table) and Set Up: Plant Maintenance IS(Make sure to choose your specific structure).
    You should be able to check the table entries to confirm that the program has updated the table (Name of the info structure).
    The defaulted version could be different from the standard version (000).You could copy the data from one verion to another version using the first step in this block.
    Once the genration is complete you should be ready to use this structure using MCIS transaction (PMIS > Standard analysis > User defined analysis).
    This will list out all the user defined structures and you can pick and execute the one that you had just created.

    How are info structures populated? Where does the data come from?
    I have a problem with the stock quantity being displayed in the report because in RWBE, there are no stocks being reflected but using MCG3 and choosing the info structure, I'm getting values.

    Info structures are populated with regular transaction data like material movements.
    You have standard info structures already for inventory. Did you explore them ?
    Check the options available in Inventory reporting/Inventory Info systems (suggest you to use the menu paths under MM. That's the besy way to explore
