Can you suggest the infocube name for datasource 0FI_GL_4??? I didn't get the related infocube in Business Content.

data source FI GL line item (0FI_GL_4) updates data into business content DSO "0FIGL_O02'. there is standard Cube is available. Although we have standard cube for account receivable and account payable line itmes.

1. make sure that your datasources have activated (trans RSA5 in SAP Source System) from the SAP Source system (Ex: R/3 or SCM System)
2. after that you have to run trans RSA9 in SAP Source System to transfer new datasource in to BI System.
3. log-on into BI System, run trans RSA1, choose SourceSystem Tab in the left panel. Right click on to your SAP Source System then choose Replicate.
4. in the left panel choose BI Content tab, select infoObjects by infoArea.
5. then Click on Grouping, select in Dataflow Before and afterward. Click Collection Mode, select Collect Automatically.
6.in the middle panel, expand "Supply Chain Management" infoArea, select both Characteristics: Logistics General and Key Figures: Logistics General. Right click on it and select Insert Objects for Collections.
7. After the objects have been inserted into Collected Objects then choose install with option Install in Background.
8. Wait for the result.

RDA Issue for Datasource 0FI_GL_4

Hello Gurus,
I want to implement RDA using datasource 0FI_GL_4.
1. This datasource in R/3 is not R/3 enabled. I checked this in se11 --> ROOSOURCE ->Execute> 0FI_GL_4.
The field REALTIME is not enabled.
2. I am trying to create Web service source system. Whenevr I am going to Web service and by right clicking on it, its showing message that this system is already existed.
3. Please provide me with step by step information.
I referred a blog of Kamaljeet Singh too.
Kindly let me know how to make this datasource as RDA enabled.

Hi Sonu,
please create an infopackage with update option initialisation without data transfer.
Run this Infopackage so that delta is initialized without data transfer and then create an infopackage for delta and u can see the real time check box available for input.
if u have done this and even then u face the same problem please try this
check whether u have any other realtime inpofackege for the same datasource.
if u dont have any such, then try this it might work out.
i did the same when i faced same problem, after creating the DTP and initialising the delta ,just come out of RSA1 and goto modelling workbench again try to create an infopackage. this worked for me.
this is an unexplainable solution.

Changing selection parameteres of Std. datasources ( 0FI_GL_4 )

Dear All
I want to change and add HKONT in the seletion of the Datasource 0FI_GL_4 . But when opened with T-code RSA6, the HKNOT is not hylighted and hence I can't tick the selection. Can we change the selection parameters for data loading of Std. Datasources ?

Please go through the below link.. you can get good Idea about Sales. In my experience I used 0SD_C03 cube, I just copied Z-Cube using 0SD_C03 and dded some InfoObjects and then created Trasfer/Update/Transformations using 2LIS_11_* 2LIS_12_* and 2LIS_13_* DataSources.

Event error extract in datasource 0FI_GL_4

Hi Guru's,
        please help me a serious problem.
In r/3 when Iam double cliking on my datasource I'm not able to display the datasource or change it.
the error displayed is MSG TEXT: [event with errors extract in datasource 0FI_GL_4].
I have enhanced the datasource as per 4.6 but here the version is ecc5 r/3.
even in rsa5 I'm not able see the datasource fields or change.

Creating BADI for datasource enhancement in CRM system

I am working on SAP BI/BW. This is the first time I am working in CRM system with CRM datasources. Facing some problem for datasource enhancement as never done it before in the CRM system. Is there anyone who can help in in creating BADI for datasource enhancement in CRM.

Hi Kushal,
You can find the BADI name by,
Go to Transaction SE24
Enter the Object Type CL_EXITHANDLER and click on Display.
Double Click on method "GET_INSTANCE".
Put a Break-point on Call method cl_exithandler=>get_class_name_by_interface
Run RSA3 transaction and execute the DataSource.
The execution will stop at the break point.
Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.

Find the Exact exits and badis for ur requirement.
How to fine the exact badi:
1) Goto se24 (Display class cl_exithandler)
2) Double click on the method GET_INSTANCE.
3) Put a break point at Line no.25 (CASE sy-subrc).
Now
4) Execute SAP standard transaction
5) Press the required button for which you need to write an exit logic, the execution will stop at the break point.
6) Check the values of variable 'exit_name', it will give you the BADI name called at that time.
7) This way you will find all the BADIs called on click of any button in any
transaction

Transaction code RSA1LEAD YOU TO MODELLING
1. Creation of Info Objects
In left panel select info object
Create info area
Create info object catalog ( characteristics & Key figures ) by right clicking the created info area
Create new characteristics and key figures under respective catalogs according to the project requirement
Create required info objects and Activate.
2. Creation of Data Source
In the left panel select data sources
Create application component(AC)
Right click AC and create datasource
Specify data source name, source system, and data type ( Transaction data )
In general tab give short, medium, and long description.
In extraction tab specify file path, header rows to be ignored, data format(csv) and data separator( , )
In proposal tab load example data and verify it.
In field tab you can you can give the technical name of info objects in the template and you not have to map during the transformation the server will automatically map accordingly. If you are not mapping in this field tab you have to manually map during the transformation in Info providers.
Activate data source and read preview data under preview tab.
Create info package by right clicking data source and in schedule tab click star to load data to PSA.( make sure to close the flat file during loading )
3. Creation of data targets
In left panel select info provider
Select created info area and right click to create ODS( Data store object ) or Cube.
Specify name fro the ODS or cube and click create
From the template window select the required characteristics and key figures and drag and drop it into the DATA FIELD and KEY FIELDS
Click Activate.
Right click on ODS or Cube and select create transformation.
In source of transformation , select object type( data source) and specify its name and source system Note: Source system will be a temporary folder or package into which data is getting stored
Activate created transformation
Create Data transfer process (DTP) by right clicking the master data attributes
In extraction tab specify extraction mode ( full)
In update tab specify error handling ( request green)
Activate DTP and in execute tab click execute button to load data in data targets.
4. Monitor
Right Click data targets and select manage and in contents tab select contents to view the loaded data. There are two tables in ODS new table and active table to load data from new table to active table you have to activate after selecting the loaded data . Alternatively monitor icon can be used.

Changes are not reflecting in BI for datasource 0CRM_CONTACT_OUT

Hi All,
I have written some code for datasource 0CRM_CONTACT_OUT (Text data source), for some language thing in CMOD where i am just checking wether the language key is english or not if not then i am modifying the Language code to english.
I have activated the code and checked that in RSA3 as well, where i am getting 3859 records and this is the total number of records as well . There are 2 fields for selection as well 1. is language key and other is changed at. So in RSA3 i have two options for selection as well.
After all this i replicated the datasource in BI system but two problems i am facing there.
1. No field is coming in selection screen at infopackage level.
2. I am getting less records than what i am getting in RSA3.
I tried every possible thing - replication, deleted the source system assignement and again re-created it. But nothing is working.
We are on 3.5 version of BI.
Any help will be apreciated.

Hi Tyagi,
Is ur issue is resolved related to the language.
1.If the fields are not appearing in the Info package selection tab:
Then u might not have marked the same in the datasource/transfer structure in the transfer rules level.
2. If the records are becoming less:
Then u need to take the same records into excel from R/3 datasource & after applying filters u check it.
Some records might be differing with the values only. In that case, the no. of records will be getting aggregated at the BW side.
I hope u might have got some idea in regard to this issue.

Standard or custom procurment ODS, InfoCube for BI-7.0 implementation

we are implementing BI-7.0 for first time to the clien for procurement .
so we need to extract the data from EKKO,EKPO and some other procurment tables.
so can if i use 2LIS_02_HDR, 2LIS_02_ITM . can i use the standard 'purchasing' ods and infocube.
If i want to use standard purchasing ods,infocube then they are in BW 3.0 . But we want in BI 7.0.
So what can i do for this one. Otherwise can i use the custom ods and InfoCube for procurement secario.
pls suggestion mw wht i have to do ..

I thought you asked me if it was OK to use the standard DSO and Cube from rel 3.0 although you are on 7.0?
You should use that DSO and cube, that's what I meant. You will not have any problems with using them although you are on a 7.0 system.

Query for Datasource problem

I have made an database based xfl function as:
declare function tns:add_months($da as xs:dateTime,$val as xs:int) as xs:dateTime? external;
and when i am calling this function in an Data sService is is giving me this error:
The function is defined for the following datasources: [null]

i am using a Database based xfl function for incorporating add_months function of sql:
declare function tns:add_months($date as xs:dateTime,$value as xs:int) as xs:dateTime? external;
This was working fine when i called it in another funcition where clause(see attacment for it's query plan-CorrectQueryPlan.xml)
But after changing the JNDI name when i am using it in the same function where clause i am getting this error:
Unable to generate SQL for XQuery expression: Cannot generate SQL for the user-defined function {lib:ShipmentsDataServices/XqueryLibrary/Test}add_months for datasource pg.dtmg101DS. The function is defined for the following datasources: [null]
see attacment for it's query plan-Error.xml)
I have also trie to create a new Database based xfl and trie to use it in a where clause of some other data Service then also it is showing me the same above error.
please help me solving this.

Partition InfoCubes for non-cumulatives

Hi,
I would like to partition inventory cube 0IC_C03 that consists of non-cummulatives. The partition was executed from 12.2007 to 12.2010. I would like to add partition to 12.2012 via option "Adding Partitions". There was error prompt that infocube for non-cummulative has to carry out by using option "complete repartitioning".
Can expert please share with me what would be the recoomendation in order to enter the correct value for complete repartitioning?

Output showing up in 2 different rows in Infocube for same Billing Number

Hi,
I have a Billing Infocube which gets data from 2 DSO's Billing header DSO & Billing Item DSO seperately. In Billing header, i have Billing Doc. Number & Shipping condition. In Billing item, i have Billing Doc. Number & Billing Quantity. In the report that i created on this Infocube, i have a column, where i restrict the Billing quantity based on Shipping condition. When i execute the report, this particular column is coming up totally blank. To verify at the backend, I checked the 2 DSO's seperately taking one common Billing document number, i get data in both DSO's.
When i check the Infocube for this 3 Infoobjects, I see the output in 2 seperate rows, one row with Billing document number & shipping condition values and another row with the same Billing document number & Billing quantity. I think because of this only, in report also, the column is coming blank. Why is the output not getting displayed in one single row in Infocube? How do i make this to work?

Hi Murali,
That will not cause the issue the reason being, in your FACT table for document number now SID values will be populated (due to line item dimension) and it will be unique for each document.
But if you look at the cube design then for each of your other dimension a unique DIMID will be created in DIM table for unique combination of all the underlying attribute values.
for e.g. say you have following cube design,
Document number,     attr1,   attr2, attr3, attr4    Key1.
Now your attr1 and 2 are getting loaded from one flow and they belong to same dimension, and your attr3 and attr4 are getting loaded from another flow and they belong to another dimension. The data will be created in the cube as follows,
Document number    DIM1   DIM2   key1
   100                          10       0        100
    100                          0        10      may be 0 to avoide data duplication.
If you see the DIMID values in fact table they are different due to different data load from two separate data flow. And that is the reason you might have multiple rows in cube for same document number.
