Infocube- Summation/SIGMA Symbol appears

Gurus,
I dont know what has changed in the NEW version of BI infocube,however am seeing the weird summation symbol or can call SIGMA symbol appearing before my requests in
the manage of the cube.

Dont worry ,you are not the one whos invented these problem neither is these with new version ,it used to occur even in 3.x scenario.
Cause - Rollup fails and the system still thinks it is Running.
Solution Steps -
1)Identify the aggregates that have not been rolled up. On the aggregate screen look at column last rollup date.
2)Deactivate all the aggregates that do not have the current roll up date.
3)Go to table maintenance (se16) and table RSMDATASTATE
4)Input name of cube
5)Change the request i.d, request sid for which aggregates exist and request SID for aggregates compressed ( all values should be the same).
This table changes the readability flag for the data in a cube.
6)Check on the manage tab to see if request is available for reporting
7)Reactivate and refill aggregates that had to be turned off(Deactivated).
PS :- Caution
Changing the state of the data to available for reporting may cause the aggregates to be in an inconsistent state.
Please make sure that the rollup has failed and the appropriate aggregates are identified prior to changing the flag as detailed above.

Sorry, possibly you need a new hard drive or try reformating. First
you can try something like http://www.alsoft.com/diskwarrior/ it has been known to repair disk that DiskUtility could not. YMMV and they don't give it away.
If Disk Warrior can not repair then you need to Reformate the drive. Make sure you have a back-up in place no matter what.

Not sure where these hard disk folders are located that you are referring to? Finder, Finder tool bar, Finder side bar, Desktop, Dock?
More then likely they are an alias that not longer point to the orginals, thus the question mark.
I would reboot. Delete icons if an alias and just recreate by dragging from the source. Try right click (control) click to remove.

To delete photos from your device
In iTunes, select the device icon in the Devices list on the left. Click the Photos tab in the resulting window.
Choose "Sync photos from."
On a Mac, choose iPhoto or Aperture from the pop-up menu.
On a Windows PC, choose Photoshop Album or Photoshop Elements from the pop-up menu.
Choose "Selected albums" and deselect the albums or collections you want to delete.
Click Apply.

My iPod says the battery is low, the apple symbol appears and then cycles back to low battery message?

My older iPod classic says when I dock it either with charger or hooked up to computer that the battery is low, the apple symbol appears, you can hear a whirring sound (hard drive coming on) then a clicking sound and then back to low battery message. Has been doing this for the last week.

It sounds like your iPod Classic is exhibiting some unexpected behaviour when you have it connected to your computer with the usb cable. I suggest the troubleshooting steps in the following article to help troubleshoot the device:

Start by resetting the iPod, then retesting the issue.
Reset
To reset your iPod:
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Tip:
If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.

You can try a system reinstall:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. A symbol appears in lower right corner of screen???

I get this symbol appearing in the lower right of my screen on my w510. It is a capital A with what looks like a "house" around it. Can anyone tell me what it is and how to get rid of it?

It's just the hotkey feature that means your capslock is on. Just press the capslock key to turn it off and it will go away.

These symbols are for short cuts. could be a command to move text insertion point to beginning of document or if you have been in system preferences keyboard and clicked on the modifier key and set one of the options it would be for setting cap lock. Don't know why you are showing a screen shot of it. Have you clicked on it. Have you been doing any work with documents. You could go to disk utilities and repair permissions or do an pram reset. Command/Option?P/R while holding down the power button for three chimes and release.

Strange "pie chart" symbol appearing - Mail must be force quitted

Just yesterday randomly half way through the day, a strange 'pie chart' symbol appeared next to my Inbox, and though I can receive mail and send mail, Mail.app (after 1 min of being open) makes my CPU skyrocket to 100%. I cannot quit Mail, and the only way I can force quit is via Activity Monitor. The usual altcommandesc combo is not bringing up Force Quit. So 2 issues:
1. What's up with Mail? I'm using POP via Gmail as my main server.
2. How do you get force quit to show up?

Request you to analyze the reason for the different display.

That's a font issue you are seeing.
As to the reason. It would depend on the workflow used.
It could be that the original replacement text was typed in a text-editor using a particular font and then copied and pasted into the comment in Acrobat. When you copy and paste text, if the font that is applied changes it could be that the new font doesn't support particular characters, in those cases a small square box can appear.

When I am in FireFox, and I mouse over any area that would normally allow me to do something, like select a tab, close a tab, or even fill text into this details box, a circular "block" symbol appears and prevents me from entering or doing anything. I have scanned all of the installed programs in the Control Panel and removed anything suspicious and reviewed addons and the like in FireFox, all to no avail. BTW, this problem does NOT occur while in Google Chrome, but I much prefer FireFox. Help!!!

I don't have a large library of music on my iPhone 4s since I've only had it since Oct 2012, but since the update to iTunes 11 in early December, my album artwork has been all messed up. Everytime I would try to add new music, it would assign the wrong album artwork to anything new coming in. And in addition to that, it would also mess up album artwork of music already on my phone. Everything looked correct in iTunes, but on my phone, not so much. After trying to unsynch, then synching again, my frustration level was at an all-time high. This problem seems to be everywhere online, but no concrete solution for everyone.
I finally came across your simple solution (at least for me because of my small inventory of music) of just deleting all the music through the settings, and then re-synching to add back my music. Now all of the album artwork is correct again. I'm almost afraid to add new music for fear the artwork will get mixed up all over again! I still think my issue is somehow connected to the iTunes 11 update because up until then I had no issues whatsoever. Anyway, thanks for an easy solution that worked for me.

Rollup issue with sigma symbol...

Could any one please tell how to do a Rollup when it is failed with showing the Sigma symbol into the Target??? when i m trying to repeat it ,it is Failing with Roll-up still active?????

Hi,
Rollup may fail due to Locking issues/when any parallel jobs are running like(Delete/Build indexes/Compress requests), so make sure none of the above jobs shouldn't run when rollup is running.
1)check for Locks in SM12
Rollup when it is failed with showing the Sigma symbol into the Target
Sigma symbol indicated that rollup is running, that is why it is getting failed when ur teying to repeat . so wait till it get compelted. check huv many records are there, if data is more then wait for some time, it'll completed automatically and u can see a Tick mark in manage. however you need to Repeat it in you PC.
