Infocus Liteshow III - macbook air compatibility

I am running the OSX version 10.7.4 on my macbook air (1.8ghz I7 and 4GB memory): I tried to connect to the Infocus LiteshowIII device with the latest version of the Liteshow app in Wifi: it does not work (black screen, and I only see the mouse moving...).
Anyone has a idea to solve the issue?
Thanks in advance

Download the Mac version in the link below: this is the latest version that solved my problem

I have a macbook air (mid 2011). I also have OS X 10.9.2. I bought an HP 27xI LED monitor to work with the laptop. Everytime I connect it using the normal VGA cable monitor just says 'Monitor going to Sleep' and sleeps.
    Please help.

  • Apple macbook air compatibility with HP Officejet 6500 Wireless

    Two questions
    1. If I buy a new current model  MacBook Air, will it work with my HP Officejet 6500 Wireless printer?
    2. Sometimes when I power up the printer, it can take as long as five minutes to register "ready." Why the erratic time to go online?
    Thanks
    TT95

Thanks for your swift reply to the Apple/HP compatibility question.  Trust it will work when I buy MacBook Air. The HP app available at iTunes store helped us make our older Apple IPad print compatible even though the HP 6500 Wireless is not equipped with AirPrint.
Regarding slowness of HP 6500 to reach "Ready" stage for printing. This is a printer for home use, so it not on a network. It always eventually prints.
    Your help is much appreciated.

  • Problems about the Macbook air with Lion 10.7.2 running Warcraft III

    Hello
I have bought the newest Macbook air with 128G SSD recently. The system is Lion 10.7.2
I am wondering why when I entered the Warcraft III game, the buttons and mouse are all black, I can not play the game.
The newest macbook air is using Intel HD Graphic 3000 as the display card
Is it possible that the driver on Lion for this display card not compatible with Warcraft III?
How can I solve this problem?
    Thank you

    Lol, you are both wrong.
First, yes, the buttons in the main menus are black. This is ****. Wrote that in a Blizzad forum already.
But: The game is fully playable once you start a game.
Second: This has nothing to do with PPC. WC3 is Universal! (How would he have known that the buttons are black if he couldn't even open the WC3 app!?!)
But one thing concerning Universal Binary has to be done by Blizzard: Make the Installers Universal too.Curently, there is no way to install WC3 in Lion.

  • When to buy Macbook Air for Compatibility

I will probably need to purchase a new laptop this year as my trusty Asus UL30A is literally falling apart (pieces of plastic have started falling apart and the case is coming apart too.
For a variety of reasons, I expect that we will see a new release of the Macbook Air line in Q3 of 2012, and normally I would wait to purchase the new model until it comes out so that I can maximize my value of the product's lifecycle, but I was wondering if, due to hardware compatibility issues, people might recommend buying an Apple product later in the product cycle to account for hardware issues in Apple products.  Any advice?

About half of the fourth generation Airs were stuck with vesa graphic modes for the first 3 months. The other half didn't have a working screen at all, just black. We were stuck in some bar for ages waiting for them to fix it...

  • HP 23xi / 25xi compatibility with Macbook Air 2013?

    Hi,
I'm looking to buy an external monitor (HP 23xi or 25xi) for my Macbook Air 2013 (10.9.1).
Since the MBA doesn't have a HDMI output, I was wondering if a Mini DisplayPort-to-DVI can be used to connect the external monitor?
I've gone through several forums, and many guys seem to have problems relating to blurry displays on their HP monitors -- when hooked up using DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapters
So, can anyone confirm the compatibility of MBA with the HP monitor, and the adapter used?
    Many Thanks
    Piyush

    Hi Piyush90.
I found information on Apple.com about a "Thunderbolt" connector that enables you to connect your Mac Book Air with other monitors. It doesn't state specifically what monitors it will work with but it looks promising that it will be a viable solution to your question.
I've included a link below to the webpage about Thunderbolt.

  • When i use my infocus portable projector, the trackpad on my mid 2013 macbook air completely stops working.

i have the new 2013 macbook air and like i stated above, the trackpad on the macbook completely stops working. i cant use it to navigate which forces me to use a wireless mouse to be able to navigate at all. i was wondering why this happens and if there any soulution. the projector is plugged in through usb and im not sure if that might be the problem ?

I wouldn't expect a projector to affect the trackpad like that. Possibly if you go into System Preferences -> Accessibility -> Mouse & Trackpad and uncheck Ignore trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present.

  • HT3455 HDCP Compatibility with MacBook Air?

I have a mid 2011 MacBook Air running OS X Lion 10.7.5 and the latest version of Itunes. I downloaded HD TV episodes of Breaking Bad Season 4 yesterday and cannot play them, I get a message that they can only be played on HDCP compatible devices. How can my Mac not be compatible with iTunes content?
I have already looked up this issue on the support forums and found several solutions, none of which have worked. I am trying to play the movies just on my Mac, not to any external device. I tried looking for updates of iTunes / OS X and have the latest versions of both. I tried going to my iTunes media folder to see if there were non HD versions there as well, there were not. I checked my preferences in iTunes under Store, to ensure that it was set to 720p which it is. I am all out of options.
Can anyone help me play this content, or help me raise it as a complaint and get a refund?
Thanks a million! Oh, and Merry Christmas

It is now 2 years later, and I still have this issue, although it started later. Until December of 2014 I was able to watch movies from the iTunes store, then it suddenly stopped. I have the same MacBook Air as you do.
iTunes support is very polite, partially refunds your issue (they also have issues calculating), but is for the rest completely useless—they don't seem to be able to comprehend the issue.
I now rent movies from the competition—their offerings work fine.

  • MacBook Air dongle compatibility

First post newbie.  For my 50th birthday I'm being treated to new 13" MacBook Air/256GB/8GB, I currently use a 2013 iPad, with 3G SIM from Network 3, and now wondering which mobile broadband MIFI or Dongle would be best to provide internet connection in London SW9.  Ideally, something capable of providing internet for the current iPad and new MacBook Air that's currently on order for 22/01/13.
I had broadband installed at home last March via SKY, it's not a very strong signal, and since taking this extra service and having a phone line installed, SKY increased the cost of my satellite viewing package substantially, so looking forward to cancelling this service, and if necessary, my satellite viewing package too and switching to Virgin Media.
Would be grateful to learn from other MacBook Air users which mobile broadband products work best and those products to simply avoid.
    Many thanks
    Moriai-Japan (currently 49) Lol.

USB network devices are to be avoided, if possible. They depend on complex third-party software that's often of poor quality and is prone to cause system instability. The software is rarely, if ever, updated, and may stop working entirely when OS X is updated. Use a mobile Wi-Fi or Bluetooth hotspot, either a mobile phone or a dedicated device — no software needed.

  • Macbook Air and Bluetooth compatibility fixed :-)

This update fixes the problem that Macbook Air has with Internet connections being dropped when bluetooth is on. http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL850/en_US/BluetoothFirmwareUpdate2.0.dmg

It's not working because you can't pair any apple devices via bluetooth.
The only time is for tethering.

  • MacBook Air with OS X 10.7.4 printer compatibility?

Will my MacBook Air with OS X 10.7.4 run an HP 3520 printer?  If not, what printers are especially good for that laptop?

On first read of your post, I think you could have one of three causes.
The first is that often an LPD queue requires a specific queue name. If you were to check the port setting on one of the Windows clients, you would see what the queue name is; although I would expect that the PC's will be using "RAW Port 9100" instead of LPR. If they are using Port 9100 then you can use the same protocol on the Mac. Via Print & Fax, select to add another print queue but this time select IP > HP Jetdirect-Socket, which is Apple's name for Port 9100.
If using HP Jetdirect still causes the same error then it could be some form of job management enabled in the copier. Many colour devices often have the ability to control access to the printing or copying via an iD and password. If such a setting exists on the C3000 and it is enabled then you may need to check the menus within the C3000 Mac driver for a field where you can enter an ID and password.
If no job management is enabled then the last suggestion would be the supported printer language. For some office copiers, Postscript is now an option rather than a standard inclusion. If the driver you downloaded is Postscript but the copier does not support this printer language, then this will result in the job vanishing and possibly that error code you mention, which may be along the lines of incorrect printer description language (PDL). Again you could check one of the Windows to see what printer driver they are using. If it is PCL then this may confirm this thought. But to be sure, I suggest you get a configuration page from the copier. This should show what printer languages it supports. If there is no Postscript support, then you would need to look at using the pxlmono package, which supports colour printing. Note that the built-in Generic PCL Laser driver in Lion only supports b&w printing.

  • I just got the mid 2011 macbook air and it does not have ilife or iPhoto on it...isnt it supposed to come with it? and if it does then how do i get it on the mac without having to pay for it in the app store?

I just got a macbook air and i thought that it was supposed to come with ilife already installed? But there is not ilife apps...how do i get  it on the laptop without having to buy them all from the app store if it was supposed to come with it?

    From the iPhoto Licence:
    3. Transfer.
    A. Apple Software obtained from the Mac App Store is not transferable. If you sell your Apple-branded hardware to a third party, you must remove the Apple Software from the Apple-branded hardware before doing so.
    B. For any preinstalled Apple Software, you may make a one-time permanent transfer of all of your license rights to the Apple Software (in its original form as provided by Apple) to another party, provided that: the Apple Software is transferred together with your Apple-branded hardware; (ii) the transfer must include all of the Apple Software, including all its component parts, printed materials and this License; (iii) you do not retain any copies of the Apple Software, full or partial, including copies stored on a computer or other storage device; (iv) you have not associated the Apple Software with your Mac App Store account as set forth in Section 2B; and (v) the party receiving the Apple Software reads and agrees to accept the terms and conditions of this License.
If the previous owner accepted the preinstalled software (iPhoto, etc) to the AppleID, it cannot be passed on to a new owner. Even if the previous owed would use her or his Applied to install it for you, you would never be able to reinstall it or to update it.
In that case buy your own copies of the software.

  • Trackpad macbook air mi 2013

    Dear All,
    I'm using a MacBook Air mi-2013,
Unfortunately I poured some water on it.... There were a lot of trouble. Fan running all the time, screen not homogenous, trackpad not fully operational, keyboard sending other key than the one pressed...
So I decided to open it in order to dry it and clean it up.
This worked fine, all the symptoms had disappeared except one.
    - The trackpad and the keyboard are not working at all.
So I guess I damaged the flat wired between mother board and trackpad..
I'd like to change it. I have one from a MacBook Air mid-2011 but I don't know if they are compatible.
Is any one know the compatibility or any where I can find this information.
Thanks a lot for your support.

ifixit.com has detailed teardown. You can check there.
