InfoFrame not disposing correctly - please advise

I am calling a one InfoFrame from another InfoFrame. When I dispose the second InfoFrame, the first InfoFrame responds very slowly and does not repaint correctly.
For example, when I select the menus, the drop down menu items do not appear.
I have also tried adding a WindowListener on the first window to fire windowActivated when focus returns. In this method, I repaint each of the components within the frame....everything display correctly and works fine except the menus again...What's up with that
Any suggestions would be appreciated

If the problem is still there, try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account.  Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don't do them all at once.

why not sort by (name, date, etc) and Click on 1st and Shift-Click on last.
Might work better to copy or import to a project folder.

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
    iTunes
    Apple Software Update
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Bonjour
    Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    and paste into:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

  • Itunes was not installed correctly please reinstall. :(

After upgrading itunes it says ' itunes was not installed corectly please reinstall so i uninstalled everything apple : bonjour apple application support , quicktime ....., than installed itunes again nothing ! same message i'v tried dowload microsoft.net framework didden't help. I noticed that quicktime isent working either it says ' please install apple aplication support so i downloaded winrar opened the setup from itunes and installed apple aplication support . Now after a week itunes still says ' itunes was not installed correctly please reinstall and quicktime still says ' please install apple aplication support. I'm 14 and from Belgium so i don't understand the really complicated told selutions but i do understand if you could explain it in steps ! please help me my ipod was conected to my pc when this all happend so it deledet all my music on my ipod please please please help me !

After searching on line, it seemed that this was a compatibility issue, and I might need .NET 3.5, which in turn seems to be part of SP2, but my autodownloads failed and the patch for downloading SP2 failed to install also.
Yeah, that'll be our issue. We'd better get you up to SP2 ... without it, you won't be getting any security updates now, so you'll possibly be a wee way behind on that front. (In the grand scheme of things, that's probably the more significant problem.)
Are you able to get SP2 in if you do a manual download of the System readiness tool? There's instructions for that in the Information for Advanced Users section of the following document:
[Description of the System Update Readiness Tool for Windows Vista, for Windows Server 2008, for Windows 7, and for Windows Server 2008 R2|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821]

  • Ituneshelper was not installed correctly, please reinstall itunes

trying to install itunes i have unstalled adn reinstalled several times but keep getting this message when i try to open itunes
ituneshelper was not installed correctly, please reinstall itunes
    error 7
    please help

ituneshelper was not installed correctly, please reinstall itunes
    error 7
The error 7 suggests you might also be getting a problem with your Apple Application Support as well as iTunes.
So let's try uninstalling both iTunes and Apple Application Suppport this time. When we reinstall iTunes, that should reinstall Apple Application Support as well. We'll take a few additional explicit precautions along the way too. Best to print these instructions out, because at one stage of proceedings you won't be able to use a web browser.
    Preliminaries
Download and save a fresh iTunes installer to your hard drive. (Don't run the install on line and don't start the iTunes install just yet.)
    http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
Now, quit QuickTime (if you have that open) and Safari 4.0.4 (if you have that installed and open). Both applications use Apple Application Support, and they will interfere with the uninstall if you have them open.
    *Uninstall phase*
Head into your "Uninstall a Program" control panel. Uninstall iTunes. Uninstall Apple Application Support.
(From this point on until we reinstall Apple Application Support, neither QuickTime nor Safari 4.0.4 will be able to run.)
Next we'll remove any leftover program files and folders.
    (1) Open "Local Disk (C:)" or whichever drive your program files are stored on.
    (2) Open the "Program Files" folder.
    (3) Right-click on the iTunes folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
    (4) Open the "Common files" folder.
    (5) Open the "Apple" folder.
    (6) Right-click on the Apple Application Support folder (if it still exists) and select "Delete".
Now empty your Recycle Bin and restart the PC.
    *Reinstall Phase*
After the PC restarts, do not open any other applications. Disconnect from your network and/or the internet. Switch off all your security software (firewall, antivirus and antispyware).
Now start the install by doubleclicking the iTunesSetup.exe file you downloaded earlier.
Reenable all security software prior to reconnecting to your network and/or the internet.
Did the install seem to go through okay? If so, does iTunes start launching properly again?

  • 'itunes was not installed correctly. please re-install. Error 7 (Windows 5)'

'itunes was not installed correctly. please re-install. Error 7 (Windows 5)'
literally tried EVERYTHING. uninstalled and reinstalled tons! downloaded revo uninstaller and uninstalled that way, followed all the steps i could find and it STILL won't work!
please please please can someone suggest something?!

I too had this problems (Windows 8.1).  A few weeks ago after the previous update before this version of itunes, I'd had a problem with the itunes store crashing and at that time I followed instructions to copy QTMovieWin.dll to the itunes folder, which fixed the store crashing.
Today I fixed the problem by:
    Delete QTMovieWin.dll from C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Uninstall ALL Apple Software using Control Panel / Programs and Features.  I uninstalled:
    iTunes
    QuickTime
    Apple Mobile Device Support
    Apple Application Support
    Apple Software Update
    Bonjour
    Delete the folders:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple
    Restart the computer
    Reinstall QuickTime
    Reinstall iTunes
Everything works GREAT now, including the iTunes store.  You will not lose your media files, I got everything back, all my settings, playlists, etc.

i dont know what to do i try install itunes and this keeps coming up "itunes was not installed correctly. please reinstall itunes  error 7 (windows error 127)" what should i do?

For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down the page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Upgraded to kitkat this morning, messaging not working. Please advise how to get texting back.

Cannot use Messaging after updating to KitKat. Says Messaging not available. Please advise how to get texting back.

I want to ensure that you're device is running top notch! Do you receive the "Messaging not available" upon entering the Message app? I would suggest heading into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > All and clearing data / cache from the app. If you don't see improve here I would suggest testing the device in Safe Mode: http://vz.to/1m9ArqO
