InfoObject* is inconsistent?

Hi all,
We got an error: InfoObject* is inconsistent after we created the cube and finished the init load and delta load with the process chain creation(hasn't scheduled).
Do we need to fix it and how? If not, will it cause any problem for the dataload?

1. what problem it will cause if we don't repair it?
There might be load issues and the data might not be displayed in the proper format.
2. If we uploaded data from the ODS A to the cube, do we need to use the ODS A for the template in the cube creation?
By template you mean having all the ODS fields in the cube as well. It depends upon your reporting requirement. You have lesser, more or equal no. of fields in the cube when compared to ODS.

Please try below,
1) GO to RSRV transaction and perform all tests for master data infoobjects. Check out what error it gives. Many times RSRV also corrects the error. You will get correct error option above the error description.
OR
2) Try deleting the erroneous recor. If it is incorrect record, it must not be used in any transactional data. SO it should allow you to do that. Then activate the master data.

Problems with transformation; infoobject not updated in DSO.

We are having some problems with one of our transformations between PSA and DSO.
Suddenly some of the fields are not filled in the DSO. The mapping for field Sales order number worked fine, and then I added an infoObject in the DSO to hold the info for Sales order item. I also replaced the infoobject that was supposed to hold the sales order number. After this, none of the two fields has any data in DSO. I checked the PSA, and the data is available here. I tested the rule in Rule details and for sales order number it gives the correct result, but for sales order item it gives a runtime error; assertion failed. I checked on SAP Notes, and found 929934. But the corrections are already added in our system.
Has anyone got any ideas on what to do?

Hi,
There are a number of problems in Transformation when either a source field or target field is changed.
This can lead to inconsistent transformation.
You can raise a message to SAP or best thing is if possible delete the Transformation and create a new one.

BW variable: Inconsistent in loading. please check use of deleted objects

Hi Experts,
I encountered an error and can not solve it following OSS note.
When I create a variable in query definition for an infoobject, it prompts an error dialog 'Inconsistent in loading. please check use of deleted objects'.
I checked the OSS notes 792779, there is a such description:
The variable existing in the table RSZGLOBV, but not existing in the tables RSZELTDIR or RSZCOMPDIR have inconsistent definition. These situation may return 2 different error messages. When a variable is missing in RSZELTDIR table (or in both together), an attempt to expand a list of variable under a corresponding InfoProvider or a list of text/formula variables will return a message 'Inconsistency in loading...'. All variables which are created for corresponding InfoProvider, text/formula variable are not available. When a variable is missing in the RSZCOMPDIR table only the error message is 'Missing UID XXXXXX... in RSZCOMPDIR! You may continue to work, but this component is not loaded' in Query Designer
But I checked these tables RSZGLOBV and RSZELTDIR and RSZCOMPDIR. I can find a variable for this infoobject, such as TC_SREG, in these tables. That is, this variable should be availbale in the query definition.
I don't know why.
My sap bw is 3.1, without the program 'ANALYZE_RSZ_TABLES'.

Hi,
While installing business content make grouping as Data Flow before and collection mode as 'Automatic'. Then expand the Tree in the tree you can see Info Object Catalogue. All installed and activated object will be in green (Active Mode). those will be normally unchecked to install anyway cross check and if found anything check deselect them. Go for Simulation Installation to identify unforeseen errors. Install the same and activate entire data-flow.

Line item dimension wont insert sid values in infoobject sid table

Hi all,
I have a strange problem, whenever I load data into a cube which has a line item dimension on 0customer without first loading the master data I am getting inconsistency in RSRV saying that no corresponding DIMid exists in sid table.
So there are Dimids in the fact table but the dimension table, which is same as the sid table in the the case of line item dimension, doesnt have them.
Can someone explain me why is this happening? I thought if a characteristic value doesnt exist in the master data but comes in through the transaction data it inserts the same in the sid table.
Is there a different rule for line item dimensions? Can someone point me to some OSS or documentation?

To clear up a few questions:
1. What I mean by "So there are Dimids in the fact table but the dimension table, which is same as the sid table in the the case of line item dimension, doesnt have them" is:
the line item dimension table /bic/D<cubename>9 which is really a view on the sid table for characteristic /bic/s<ch. name> does have all the sid values (or all the dim values) as the fact table.
So fact table has more entries for that dimension than the sid table.
2. Yes we are facing reporting errors where we cannot drill down by that infoobject and LISTCUBE doesnt show us any cube data when that characteristic is chosen for display.
3. I have checked notes where it seems to be a RSRV bug but in our case it doesnt seem to be as observed in the actual table mentioned in #1
Now it is apparent that I am right both from help.sap.com link and what I am observing that for line item dimensions master data HAS TO BE LOADED FIRST for the characteristics used as a line item.

Error when activate I/O: inconsistency DD - DB

Hello gurus,
I modified the IO 0COSTELMNT in Dev system, I added two custom IO as attributes.
I modified the transfer rule and Communication Structure.
I transported the modify with success and I load the master data in order to populate the new attributes (in Test and then Production system ).
Looking the values I realized that the new attributes were time dependent, maybe by my mistake.
Then in Dev system I deleted the flag "Time dependent" for the two new attributes in the section "Detail/Navigation attributes" of IO 0COSTELMNT.
When I transported this last modify I received the error:
Char. 0COSTELMNT: Attribute ZCOSTELMP is time-dependent (cannot become time-independent)
Message no. R7583
Diagnosis
You have changed the attribute ZCOSTELMP for characteristic 0COSTELMNT from time-dependent to time-independent. An analysis of the master data found that, over time, various values existed for the attribute. The attribute is therefore time-dependent.
System response
You can not change the attribute to time-independent.
Procedure
You first have to delete master data from characteristic 0COSTELMNT so that the ambiguous forms of attribute ZCOSTELMP will disappear over time. Only afterwards can you change the attribute to time-independent.
Then I restore the flag "Time dependent" for the two new attributes in Dev system and I re-trasported the modify in Test system.
I receive this error
No active nametab exists for /BI0/QCOSTELMNT
Termination due to inconsistencies
Table /BI0/QCOSTELMNT (Statements could not be generated)
DDIC Object TABL /BI0/QCOSTELMNT has not been activated

The activation is unable to adjust new columns/attributes with existing ones at DB level....so delete all values in IO tables.
Use se14 to further clean up individual tables.
CAUTION: You might have to make the same clean in PROD....so this will result recomputation on SID...

Problem about InfoObject locked by conversion

Hi Experts:
   Now I am doing BW Upgrade Project and one task is to check all infoobjects consistency (RSUPGRCHECK).
And one infoobject 0MATERIAL is inconsistent.
1. I have used RSD1 to repair it, but it failed
2. When I tried to activate manually, but it popup with message that it is locked by conversion.
3. I tried to use SE14 to delete /BI0/PMATERIAL data, but the option for "activate and delete data" is greyed out.
   This is my situation now, any one could give me some suggestion?

Hi,
I RSA1, click on Tab Find, type ur IO name, then down, check on the box All Object Types. It vll show u where all u used that IO, then delete them accordingly.
or
goto T-code RSDMD, type ur IO name, and delete manually.
or
Goto T-code SLG1, In object type RSDMD, in sub object type
MD_DEL, then type ur user name, then execute.,,u vll c what all data u have loaded so far, delete what is pertaining to ur IO
try to delete the content as u are unable to perform the same with SE14... and then try repairing the same.. and perform ur steps..

I have new BI system . i installed infoobjects for masterdata first and loaded. but when i tried to load material masterdata it showed me error records in PSA about length . So, i go to OMSL (T-CODE) and gave length 18 and save. now i have loaded data successfully in 0MATERIAL_TEXT but when i clicked on any infoobject like 0MATERIAL , 0PLANT , 0VENDOR it shows me error like below...

Diagnosis
Screen SAPLRSD_GUI_IOBJ_MAINT 1200 uses the structure RSDGSCIOBJ from the ABAP Dictionary. This structure was changed in the ABAP Dictionary during the run of the current transaction or the current program ABAP (time stamp of the structure in the program: 20051107121729, time stamp of the structure in the ABAP Dictionary: 20081003114637).
System Response
The program/transaction cannot be continued. The processing was terminated.
Procedure
Start the program/transaction again. The current version of the program will be loaded which will resolve the inconsistency.

I have added a Source Databasis S2. But when I opened UCWB again it gives me messages:

Definition of Field /BIC/ZCS_MCHAN is inconsistent (UGMD008)
Further performance assistant says:

The definition of the field /1FB/COMPANY in system with destination differs
from the definition in destination DHACLNT003.
At least the property w/ Medium Text is different.
Procedure
Change the definition of the field in the corresponding system. When doing
so, first check the property w/ Medium Text. Note, there may also be differences
in other properties.
Another possibility is that property w/ Medium Text is not directly
maintainable in the definition of the field, but instead is calculated from
multiple other properties. Therefore, make sure you also check the entire
definition of the field.
If attributes are assigned to field /1FB/COMPANY, the time-dependency setting
of individual attributes must be the same for all destinations.
The message type is green. Now my question: Is it something I need to be worried of. Should I do the procedure described... but I don't think they wont change their infoobject since it is used in many other cases. Can I ignore this? What impact does it have? Will it always pop up opening UCWB?

Looks like the medium text in the objects differ between the periods. Either you can sychronise to be the same for all the periods or you may ignore this warning.

Error activating ODS-Inconsistency DD - DB ?

Hi BW Gurus,
My requirement is to change the field length of one InfoObject used in ODS object(ODS_T) from Numeric 3 to Numeric 4. When doing the activation of ODS, the system prompt for continue with Activate and Adjust Database in SE14. However, some error occurred during adjusting the databse. After i corrected the error, i resume the adjustment of databse but still ended with error in Step 6. Therefore i delete the ODS Object(ODS_T) and recreate a new ODS using the same name.
When i try to activate the ODS, ODS Object couldn't be activated, below error returned:
The dictionary activation module could not activate all objects.
/BIC/AODS_T00: Inconsistency DD <-> DB (check table with analysis tool)
A table called /BIC/AODS_T00 exists in the database
No active nametab exists for /BIC/AODS_T00
Termination due to inconsistencies
Table /BIC/AODS_T00 (Statements could not be generated)

How can I correct this error? Please advice.

Try Tcode RSRV.
Run RSRV check on the DSO. If you found any error repair it.
RSRV is a diagnostic tool in BW, System will automatically corrects if there are any inconsistencies with the BW objects
It is used for Analysis and Repair purpose of BW objects like:
1. Master Data Consistency Checks
2. Transaction Data Consistency Checks
3. Size of Dimensio tables
4. Checking SID values
5. PSA duplicate record check
6. Checking Aggregates
7. Partitions of Info cuses etc...
You can check everything.
Just expand it > drag n drop the required test to the right panel and give the object > execute.

(I know, the answer is a year late, but at least it will be documented for the future: i've recently had the same error in my system)
I have debugged the problem and found that the exception happens somewhere after Include LRSDRC_INFOCUBEF06, form BASIC_QUERY_DATA_GET_ROLAP and PERFORM check_for_request0.
You can also get this error if you execute the transaction LISTCUBE for the Infocube, or if you click on "display data" in the context menu of an InfoCube in RSA1.
The reason for the problem seems to be the missing "initial" record in the InfoObject "REQUID".
This InfoObject tracks all the requests/data packages in your BW system, and usually has the similar contents:

The problem can be fixed by adding this record to two tables:
(example for adding this record from the DB2 SQL interpreter; syntax may be slightly different with other DB platform)

insert into "/BI0/RREQUID" values (0,'')
(NOTE: the '' are two single quotes without any value between them, and not the double quote mark )

Activation of InfoObject ...

       I need to activate a standard InfoObject ' 0crm_cpstat ' which is used for Budgeting in CRM. I tried to get it from the Business Content of BW 3.5, but after installing it, it shows error that it cannot be activated. Can anyone help ?

Error when activating infoobject 0MAT_PLANT

Dear experts,
I switched off the flag for time dependency of a navigational attribute of 0MAT_PLANT. When trying to active 0MAT_PLANT again I am receiving the error R7286 (Error in activating the InfoObjects). When running RSRV I am only getting red traffic lights but when trying to repair the system is only telling me to activate the infoobject first. The infoobject was locked for conversion, I removed the lock and flagged the time dependency again, hoping that the object could be reactivated again but unfortunately this is not the case. Can someone help me with some tips on how to approach this?

Thanks Dinesh. Not sure if it is our 30B version but I don't get very useful information when checking the long text. I also checked the complete log but it is only mentioning to analyze /BI0/QMAT_UNIT with SE11. When doing this I get an error: /BI0/QMAT_PLANT: Inconsistency DD <-> DB (check table with analysis tool)
Any other tips?

to be more specific:
If your cube has been working well, there's must be a cube (at least in development system or Q-System) with all the InfoObjects - you can transport this data model into the system, where the InfoObject is missing. Of course, on this way you can transport the missing Info Object as well.
Normally there will be an inconsistent in the database caused of missing InfoObject. Adding a new field (missing InfoObject) means also, that you change the structure of the table. If you hold data of 1yr (which is large), it's better to save the data in a back-up table (via SQL-Script for example) and then delete all data in your data target before you do the transport. Then restore the data from the backup table. The problem is more, how you fill the new column (missing object). If it's a master data attribute - just reading from the correspodent master data table or convert from another Info Object. If it's a key figure it' more difficult and in this case you may have to reload the whole data from ECC.
However to identify a cube as a table in SQL-Language is complicated. This interview question sounds simple, there may be a simple answer which is not coming to my mind at the moment. Maybe I haven't understand the question correctly. I'd be interrested on another suggestions!

Insert new Master Data Record for an InfoObject using a Function Module

Hi @ all,
is there any Function Module for creating a new master data record for an InfoObject? Implementing a FM for inserting a master data record into a master data table is done quickly. I think there will be problems with inconsistency implementing a FM using a simple "Insert" Statement. Isn´t it?
I know it is possible to maintain an InfoObject in RSA1 (Master data IO> right click>Maintain Master data>execute(F8)> ...) but I have another requirement for using a FM.
