InfoObject not available as infoprovider in Bex (BI 7.0)

Hi,
I have an infoObject with master Data (0CS_ITEM), which I want to use as an infoprovider to generate a query and display its data.
It is already marked as an infoprovider, however in my Query Designer I am not able to select it to create a new query.
Does anybody knows the reason?
It is activated, and so its compounding infoObject. I tried to find the difference between 0COMPANY(this does works as an infoprovider) and 0CS_ITEM and couldnt find any.
The only thing is that the infoObject is used for BCS and it is updated via BCS module. Not sure if that has something to do with it. I have SAP_ALL, so I guess permissions are not an issue either.

David, if you can, just try checking the optin "with master data" on the master data tab and on the attribute tab add an attribute and then check it out. It worked for me.

Hi,
Try activating multiprovider and underlying infocubes, using following programs.
Multiprovider: RSDG_MPRO_ACTIVATE
Infocube: RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE
DSO: RSDG_ODSO_ACTIVATE
InfoObject: RSDG_IBOJ_ACTIVATE
Then try to run the query, alternately you can use transaction RSRT.

hw to refresh the query designer to get new appended info object

InfoSet maintance - added new InfoObject, not available in query

Hi,
We appended a new field to the 0VENDOR_ATTR extractor and the data comes accoss fine. We are using InfoObject 0CREDITOR in an InfoSet. When I did an 'adjust' step to the InfoSet, the new InfoObject became visable but the check box is grayed out and the new InfoObject is not usable in a query. Is there any way to change the check box so that the new InfoObject is available in a query?

Hi John,
Change your 0CREDITOR InfoObject and make sure that the 'Attribute Only' box is not checked. You will be unable to make it usable in an InfoSet query if this box is checked. Let me know if this solves your issue.

Infoobject not available in "D" version

Hi Friendz..
I am trying to activate the Business contents using report "RSO_BC_INSTALL_ALL". While analysing the log in SLG1, I find that the system shows that some of the infoobjects are not available in "D" version.
Example of error log:
Object '/APC/CHANCD' (IOBJ) of type 'InfoObject' is not available in version 'D'
Message no. RSO252
Diagnosis
You wanted to generate an object with the name '/APC/CHANCD' (in transport request IOBJ) of type 'InfoObject' (TLOGO). This is, however, not available in the BW Repository database. It does not exist in the requested version D. If the version is 'D' then it is possible that an error arose during the delivery or installation. If the version is 'A' then the Object was either not created or not activated.
System Response
The object was not taken into account in the next stage of processing.
Please suggest the reason for it.

have you checked the infoonject in object types in BI content tab.click object types and in that choose infoobject and search the infoobject. if its there then drag and drop and install it.

Dear All,
In my requirement, i need to create a multi provider based on 3 cubes and one master data info object.this ionfo object is 0prod_hier.
When i go to multi provider and select the info object tab, in that im unable to find 0prod_hier.
What could be the reason, Kindly help me out in sorting the issue.Points will be assigned.

Hello Yunus,
You can only use an InfoObject as an InfoProvider if it has master data or texts. since you are only updating the hierarchy I believe you don't have master data available neither texts (you can check that in rsd1 for that InfoObject the tab Master data).
So the step I mentioned before (to create an InfoObject as an InfoProvider) only works for InfoObjects that has master data or texts, if you try that step before you'll see a message in the end saying that!
So, assign either master data or texts to that InfoObject and then do the step mentioned before. You can then use that InfoObject in your Multiprovider.

hi,
This is not an error but while installing bunch of infoobjects, it will say which one of them it doesnot have in the system could be the problem in patches.Could be very old.
Hence better you create a infobject equivalent of the object you require and use it and goahead.

Error Infoobject does not exists in Infoprovider

Hi Friends,
I am getting "Error Infoobject does not exists in Infoprovider" in Quality. Actually Fiscal Period and Variant are not showing up in Query designer left panel (where we can see infoprovider structure). This problem is only in Quality, the query works fine in Development and training system.
Any thoughts why am I getting this and way to rectify it? I tried transporting the query again by collecting query elements. Still it gives same error.

Probably your data provider has been changed and transported to quality and your query is still using those objects. Please check the info provider in both system if they are in sink or not.

0repmode "Restatement" value is not available in the BEx query

Dear SEM-BCS experts,
We need to select 0repmode "Restatement" value in a BEx query, but it is not available (only # and Standard). The query is based on the SEM-BCS virtual cube. We use SEM-BCS version 6.02.
I would be grateful if you could help us to resolve this problem.

Dear Mila,
Report mode. "Restatement" availability purely depends on the settings made for
the transaction data transfer ; between Transaction cube (BCS cube) to Reporting cube (BW cube).
Please check in the info package created for Transaction cube(BCS Cube) where in you can see the available options. If the data transfer is happening with reporting mode "Restatement" then it should be available.
Most of the people use one Standard (S), Purchase (P).. but Restatement (R) option also available.

BEx Transport Requests '' ist not available or not suitable

hi, all,
I want to change a query, that has been transported back from Prod.System into TestSystem. Changes in the query aren't possible - the error message is
" BEx Transport Requests '' ist not available or not suitable ".
Now, there is a Standard BEx Transport Request and, in the RSA1 -> Transport Connection I see the query complete with that Transport Request.
What can the reason be? Any Idea?

I did exactly as described :
The easiest thing to do is the following:
1) collect your query in transport connection
2) check if it is already assigned to a transport
2a)if assigned to a transport check if this is the standard bex transport. If so go to step 3, If not see if you should just tranport that request (or you can just go to step 3...but i wouldn't advise that)
3) unlock the standard bex request
4) now go back to transport connection and put the collected objects in a new request
5) release and transport your new request
It still doesn't help. I can't change the Query. The error-message is stil the same.

I need to make changes to query when I open it...it's saying Transport req is not available. So I have collected the query in a new transport in transport connection, but when I go back to the query its still giving the same error message. How do I resocve this error?
The transport it is showing in the query was deleted, so I cannot use the old transport.

Hello Kris,
What Mahesh said will solve your issue but once you transport that request you will again get the same error when you open any query in BEX. One way to get around this issue is for the first time create a request using the BEX transport button in transport connection and always keep this request open. If you want to transport a query that is assigned to this request just unlock this request using se03 and then collect your query and the corresponding objects in a new request in transport connection and transport the new request. This way atleast everytime you open a query you will not get the error.

Bex Transport request is not available

I want to change the Bex query from query designer, when i go for change mode it didnu2019t allow me to change and throws error message "Bex transport request " is not available or not suitable" and in second line it gives "choose an existing request.
Can any one tell me how to change the Bex query with a transport request?

Hi,
You get this message if you have captured the query in a transport request and released or transported the request.
You can somply capture the query in a new request again from transport connection and then you will be able to edit the query.
even after capturing the query in the request is not allowing to edit then you need to try the option as explained by our friend above.

Procedure to include 2 infoobjects which r not available in R/3

Dear All,
We have a standard cube 0FIGL_C10 in FI.We are creating the report for all GL accounts based on the company codes.Now the problem is we have to include 2 more fields in the cube (Schedules and Page) which are not available in R/3.The data for these fields to be loaded using a flatfile.After loading this data,the report should show all the schedulers and page respective to GL account.Please explain me how to achieve the above requirement.

Hello Dinakar,
this depends on your requirements, especially on how to enrich the R/3 data with the 2 new fields.
The easiest case is if these two fields are attributes of a field delivered from R/3, e.g. the GL account.
If this is the case, simply create them as navigational attributes to the GL account, switch on the navigational attributes in the cube and upload the data.
If you cannot use the navigational attributes because you want to keep track on changes, put the two new IOs into the cube and fill them as attributes from GL account.
A different case is that you get a distribution rule like GL acc xy is 70% schedule A page x and 30% schedule B page y.
In that case I would upload the distribution rules into a DSO and use the end routine of the transformation to split the data accordingly.

After implementing Note 992032 getting errors in Bex workbook

Hi All,
After Implementing the note 992032 (You must first implement Notes 932065, 935140, 948389, 964580 and 969846, which provide information about using transaction SNOTE. Otherwise, problems and syntax errors may occur when you deimplement some notes) getting error messages in BEx workbook when try to filter on any InfoObject but when I run query I'm getting data but not able to filter, we are using BI 7 on patch 11. When implementing the note number 964580 it's giving error and this particular note number is not yet implemented.
Getting error messages like:
1. Error reading the data of InfoProvider 0FIAR_O03
2. An error occurred in the program:
3. ORA-20000: Insufficient privileges ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 2150 ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_STATS", line 14112 ORA-06512: at line 1
4. System error in program CL_RSR_WWW_RENDERER and form GET_FILTER_VALUES_CHA:03 (see long text)
Before implementing 992032 everything worked well.
Could anyone please help!
