Infoobject not found while loading hierarchy in BW

Hi all,
1000PA_COST (Cost Element) hierarchy was created in ECC Sytem A.(It works fine in ECC Q System A)
Development System is being shared so when 1000PA_COST went into ECC Q System B its level one hierarchy node is different from System A. Instead of 0HIER_NODE its showing ZCSTELGRP. Since its transporting from DEV to the new Q, how can this just change? Does someone in Finance have to make BW related settings in ECC?

Specially in your case for given Material Parent Id is not correctly maintained that you have to change it and correct it.

A couple of things that are important:
refind_linux.conf should be in the same directory as vmlinuz-linux and the initrd so it should be in /boot/ since that is where your kernel is.
In your refind.conf stanza you have the line volume "EFI system partition" which tells rEFInd that the loader is in that partition whereas the kernel and initrd files seem to be in /boot/ which is not the EFI System Partition. Hence the volume line needs to specify the filesystem where /boot is which in your case appears to be /dev/sdb5 so the volume line in that case should be volume "root" since root is the filesystem label for sdb5? Note that if you update to rEFInd version 0.8.0 or later then you can use the partuuid value to specify the volume but in the version you are using that token for the volume was not yet implemented.
In the stanza you quoted there was no terminating } but maybe you just didn't copy it to your post.
Making these changes may let the system boot to the arch kernel.

Syntax error while loading hierarchy from an external file

Dear Expert:
I am new to BW and I met a problem today while loading hierarchy from an external file. Actually I am following below article to load the hierarchy:

When I schedule the infopackage, the error message says: "Syntax error in template RSTMPL9C, ROW 76". Actually there is only around 20 lines of records.
Since I am not familiar with hierarchy load, so:
1. while loading from external file, do I need to create one hierarchy in advance through "Maintain Hierarchies" in the infoobject? My understanding is since I can load that hierarchy from file, so I do not need to create one in advance, once the load completed, the hierarchy should automatically generated there. Is my understanding correct?
2. Before loading the hierarchy, do I need to load the master data of external characteristics in the hierarchy first? Here in my example, the sales hierarchy has 2 external characteritics (Country and region) in the hierarchy. Do I need to load some data first?
3. My 'Preview' function in the infopackage is gray so that I can not test the data loading. Why is it gray?
Information like file name, file dir, file type(csv), seperator should be correct there.
Can anybody help me take a look into that? Many thanks for your time in advance!

Page has more than 120 items (most of them are hidden), so my first thought is that page has problem with posting so many items, but APEX error message doesn't hel me at all. Any help would be very appreciated :)

actually it is the 100 page item limit. See (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17556_01/doc/user.40/e15517/limits.htm)
I also had a look into the source code and the code at the position where the error gets raised only supports 100 page items.
Can you have a look into the generated HTML code and look if you have a page items which is mapped to p_t101 or a higher number ?
I will file a bug to show a better error message.

This error comes generally when your webdynpro project does not have an application. To create an application in your webdynpro project follow the underlying steps:
<Project>->WebDynpro->Applications ---> right click and create New Application.
Follow the steps to create the application.
Now if you create archive and deploy, it will not give you the error again.

I have configured Vendor Account group (OBD3) & created a vendor account (XK01).While posting thru' T code F-43,an error "Enter payment method supplement in line item 001" is found.But, payment method supplement field is not found while posting.Please solve my problem.

In F-43 when you enter the document & posting date, company code, currency , And Vendor number PRESS ENTER it will take you to next screen There you can find the PAYMENT METHOD tab under invoice reference .

it shows server running in the log files as well as on the command console .

noticed, most of the times, I thought, it happened when session was timed
out. But it also happended before the time-out too. I had it set as default
at 30 minutes.

JRE not found, while installing Oracle 9i on Fedora Core 5

I am installing Oracle 9i on Fedora Core 5 from the following site.

The site asks me to Download the Java Runtime Enviroment (j2re-1_3_1_15-linux-i586.bin) from the Sun website.
extract the file and put it in /opt directory. And edit Disk1/install/linux/oraparam.ini and modify JRE_LOCATION variable to /opt/jre1.3.xx
I have downloaded JRE version jre1.3.1_19 as this is the version available from the sun site, and put it in the /opt directory.

My oraparam.ini settings are:

Error while loading Hierarchy using Idoc

Hi Experts,
I am loading Hierarchy data from r/3 to Bw,
After load , in the monitoring details tab
its like this
Data Package 1 ( Records ) : Everything OK
Transfer rules ( 911 Records ) : No errors
Hierarchies for master data received. Processing being started.
Transfer 911 data records in communication structure
Update ( 0 new / 0 changed ) : No errors
Data saved successfully
Processing end : No errors
Data successfully transferred to the update
Subseq. processing (messages) : No errors
-> Start update of master data hierarchy
<- End update of master data hierarchy
Hierarchy successfully activated
the hierarchy is adding to the infoobject
But in the reporing it showing like not assigned material
I think the hierarchy is not loaded correctly into the target.
because of the Idoc process , i am Unable to debugg..
plz give me any idea

I have written a Java application which needs to start up another external application. I have executables for that external application for different platforms (Win32, PPC and Linux). When the Java application is started it detects the OS and starts up the right executable according to the OS. The executable loads up fine on Windows without any problems. But in both Linux and Max OS X I get this exception:

If I copy the string (/home/vilas/Documents/Project/build/CLISP/linux/lisp.run) and paste it in a terminal and press enter, the application starts up fine without any problems!! Can you please tell me what could be going wrong?
The following extra information maybe helpfull:
1) I use the exec(String command, String[] envp, File dir) version of exec.
2) The complete format of the command is as follows (one long string):
"/home/vilas/Documents/Project/build/CLISP/linux/lisp.run" -B "/home/vilas/Documents/Project/build/CLISP/linux" -M "/home/vilas/Documents/Project/build/CLISP/linux/lispinit.mem" -i loader.lisp

I found the problem after extensively searing the forums (looking upto page 4 !! of the results). The problem was that I was using quotes to surround the paths in the command. If you copy and paste it in a terminal it will work fine but it does not work with runtime.exec. I am not sure, but I think the reason is that when a terminal is used, some pre-processing of the commands take place before they are passed onto the OS(shell). But while using runtime.exec, that pre-processing is not peformed and therefore some things will not work.
In order to fix the problem, I use quotes only when the OS is windows. In other cases(OS X, Linux) I escape the spaces i.e. replace " " with "\ ".
PS: The executable is a binary compiled from C code.

Error While loading Hierarchy from R3 to BW

Hi Experts,
plz solve my problem,
I am rtying to load Hierarchy data from IS-R R/3 to Bw
In the monitoring(left hand side) QM status is green saying that the load is successfull
Right hand side QMStatus also Green,
But in the Details Tab(right hand side)
the overall Status is Yellow and it's giving warning messa like Missing messages and Warnings Under this
*Requests (messages): Everything OK
   Data request arranged
   Confirmed with: OK
*Extraction (messages): Everything OK
   Data request received
   Data selection scheduled
   6154 Records sent ( 6154 Records received )
   Data selection ended
*Transfer (IDocs and TRFC): Missing messages(QMStatus is Yellow)
*Processing (data packet): Everything OK
*Data Package 1 ( Records ) : Everything OK
    *Transfer rules ( 6154 Records ) : No errors
      *Hierarchies for master data received. Processing being started.
      *Transfer 6154 data records in communication structure
    *Update ( 0 new / 0 changed ) : No errors
    *Data saved successfully
     *Processing end : No errors
       *Data successfully transferred to the update
*Subseq. processing (messages) : No errors
   -> Start update of master data hierarchy
   <- End update of master data hierarchy
Hierarchy successfully activated
Why in the update mode showing 0 new and 0 changed
it has to show records 6154 new.
but the hierarchy(Merchandise Category) is attching to the infoobject(0material),All the hierarchies are available in the BW .
But its displaying in the BEx report like Not Assigned Material,
I am Unable to solve this proble,
Plz give me the solution
